This review is for PaeBaek. disclosure we are fluent in Korean. I went with The Hanbok as my Paebaek company and I am very glad we did. They did a spectacular job. There settings were gorgeous. The lady that came to the site to run the ceremony was very reserved and patient. The was a lovely soothing calmness to her that make the whole chaos of the attire change during the wedding more relaxing. The company also provided us with an English script explanation of the Paebaek. We actually had to edit some of the English grammar but it was no big deal. Our guests commented on the lovely Paebaek and Korean friends who had the Paebaek ceremony commented that they appreciated the explanation as well. We were traveling from la to nj for our son's dol and needed hanbok for the family. The place was super clean with beautiful hanbok selections and Jasmine was very nice and knowledgeable. She def knew what she was talking about. I ended up selecting the one Jasmine recommended and it was absolutely gorgeous! Color scheme i wouldnt have come up on my own. Recently went in here to look at traditional Korean hanboks for a first year birthday party- dol. The place is immaculate and well curated. Everything is orderly and beautifully set up. The lady who helped us was very helpful and offered many suggestions about the party. It felt like she was taking the time to help us not to sell us a product. After looking at other places we decided to come back here. Their prices are similar to other local shops but the quality and design of their clothes seem much better. And more importantly the service is excellent. They also rent. Would definitely come back in a heartbeat. read more

I went with a friend of mine to a couple of places that had beautiful Hanbok, but I decided to try one here at The Hanbok. The atmosphere was light, soft, and inviting. The owner greeted us with a gentle smile and was very friendly with us. I explained why I wanted to try on a Hanbok and she gladly helped me. Although I was nervous, she walked me through each step. I asked if she could pick out the dress I should wear since I felt like she would know best. Coincidentally she picked out my favorite color, various shades of purple. After she helped me into the beautiful dress I felt so happy I couldn't stop beaming. While my friend took some photos, I learned that the dresses were handmade by her and it felt extra special to have it on. My grandmother is a professional seamstress and to have two generations worth of hard work and an eye for fine detail made into an art felt nothing short of an honor to me. I am very grateful to have been allowed to try on this beautiful dress. One day I'll buy one from this gorgeous store and wear it in the streets of Bukchon Hanok Village. I rented a BEAUTIFUL hanbok for my daughter from The Hanbok for a school pageant. It was last minute and I was nervous I would not be able to find anything in time. Not only did I find a hanbok in time but the quality, condition and price of the rented hanbok far exceeded my expectations. The owner, Jasmine, assisted me from beginning to end with utmost care, professionalism, courtesy and kindness. I was extremely impressed by the excellent customer service and her willingness to go out of her way to assist and make sure my daughter had the perfect hanbok for her special event. My daughter looked absolutely adorable and everyone at school commented how amazing she looked! The overall experience and event could not have been more perfect. THANK YOU JASMINE AND THE HANBOK!!
