I even asked to have the same stylist (Jessica) and my experience couldn't have been any better. Jessica took her time getting to know what I was looking for and pulled about five dresses for me to try on -- I happened to love every single one of them. She so clearly knows what she's doing AND so clearly loves it. People don't realize how important a good stylist is and Jessica is one of the best. Our experience at the bridal shop was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. We specifically ordered a size 6 dress, but when it arrived, they gave us a size 10--and to make matters worse, it was clearly a worn floor sample instead of a new dress as expected. to top off this horrible situation, the new dress came with the sleeve which we were not told and we had to purchase new sleeves and they would not let us get a refund of the extra sleeves we were told to purchase. Rather than taking responsibility for their mistake, the staff were dismissive and unhelpful. They refused to offer any compensation for the inconvenience, even though we now had to make an extra trip to correct their error. Even more shocking, they asked us to pay additional money despite this being entirely their fault. Because of this situation, it also disrupted and complicated our scheduled appointment with the alterations shop. This entire experience caused unnecessary stress during what should have been a special and joyful time. I ordered my dress 10 months in advance and received it only two weeks before I had to leave for my wedding. If you're considering buying your dress here, please read this review first. I would give anything to go back and buy my dress from a different salon. I spent the final months before my wedding chasing updates, on long pointless phone calls with the shop, questioning whether my dress would arrive at all, scheduling sample dress appointments, making costly changes to travel plans, and scrambling to salvage an alterations plan after repeated missed delivery timelines. Here's what happened: * I was told my dress would arrive in May. * May came and went. I followed up. * "It'll be here in early June. * Early June came and went. I followed up. * "It'll be here in two weeks." * Two weeks came and went. I followed up. * "A manager will call you today." * No one calls. * My fiancé and I call the salon. The employee who answered had no idea what was happening with our order. She says "the manager is in an appointment but I'll have her call your right after" * We wait a few hours. No one calls. We follow up. * "Oh, the manager left for the day. She'll call you in two days." * Over the next week we repeatedly requested basic shipment information and received only reassurances that "your special day is important to us. * We eventually contacted the designer directly and learned the dress had not yet been completed and was still overseas. * We refer that information back to the shop and NOW we're told that the dress should be FINISHED by June 24th and should be shipped after that point. Apparently none of the previous delivery estimates or assurances had been based on the actual production status of the dress. The dress finally arrived on June 30, giving me two weeks for alterations. Because of the delay, I lost the opportunity to use the family friend who had offered to alter my dress as a wedding gift. Instead, I had to use the salon's alterations partner, costing an unexpected $1,100. Even then, the alterations process was disorganized. The first appointment I was offered was after my wedding date, and the follow-up appointment Jaehee scheduled for me had never actually been coordinated with the tailor. Throughout this process I experienced repeated missed deadlines, poor communication, a complete lack of proactive updates, inconsistent information depending on who answered the phone, and months of being told everything was "on track" until it suddenly wasn't. Instead of remembering the excitement of finding my wedding dress, I'll remember spending the final weeks before my wedding chasing updates, questioning whether my dress would arrive, worrying that I had been scammed, and acting as my own project manager. I decided to visit Jaehee Bridal because my NJ friend reminded me of the tax exemption on clothing in NJ, which would save me a lot of money. I found Jaehee Bridal online and scheduled an appointment when I saw they carried some designers that I haven't tried at other bridal shops yet. It was $50 for a cancellation though. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience trying on dresses at the shop even though they couldn't start my appointment on time. My consultant was just the right amount of friendly; she even stayed late to help me. First, she got an understanding of which styles I was looking for, and then she allowed me to look around the atelier picking out dresses I wanted to try. Of course, she also gathered some dresses based on her own recommendations. Then, the fun part: trying on the dresses. The dressing room was private but the mirror was outside, so my two guests waited outside on chairs while I changed into the dresses. I liked that I tried on a good amount of dresses, a lot of styles that I haven't tried yet, so I'm glad I got to branch out a little. In the end, I decided to say yes to the dress here. The boss was very sweet and came to chat with me and my group. The reason for the minus one star is because of the alterations and dress size, both of which seem to be people's complaints here. I had no intention of going to their recommended alteration shop because I live in Brooklyn, and it didn't make sense for me to make the trek to NJ every time I had to do dress fittings. I believe the alteration shop had some other branches in NYC, but they also had bad Yelp reviews, so I was really iffy about trying them. I went to a few other alteration places in NYC and got turned down by them because of the absurd amount of alterations needed for the dress to fit me. One place even told me to sell the dress and buy a new one -- just a couple of months before my ceremony! What happened was Jaehee ordered a really big dress for me but failed to tell me that would mean extreme alterations because it allegedly fits my waist but literally not the cups or back. And because the dress had a lot of handsewn appliques and boning, taking the dress in (by a lot) would require a lot of tedious handsewing -- most alteration shops don't have the time for that as they're not just altering your dress. Luckily, I finally found an alteration place that confidently accepted the job but for a whopping $900. I'm glad I was flexible on the budget, but if I wasn't, I would 100% not be able to afford an extra $900 just for alterations. I loved my dress so I don't have regrets but going with another dress without such elaborate handiwork would've been a more seamless option. So, my advice is to ask the Jaehee staff what type of alterations are needed for the size they're ordering and what complications might arise because of those alterations, as well as the estimated price for such alterations. Being my first stop, I invited my MOH, my parents, my aunt, and grandmother - we were a fairly large group which the shop had no problem assisting. My one issue with the seating arrangements was that they were stained/dirty and for the money you're about to dish out on a dress you'd expect a little more of a cleaner seat to sit on. I tried on a handful of beautiful dresses, but couldn't find the "the one" if you're looking for a glitz and glam dress this is a great place to try. If you're looking for a more classic understated sateen dress you may have a hard time finding what you need here. read more

This was my third dress shop that I visited in my dress hunt. This place will not make you feel special and will judge your budget (mine was 2-2.5k for a dress). They dont post prices online. The day I visited, I went to another bridal shop right before my appointment where I found a promising dress. However, since I had the appt at Jaehee already and Jaehee also had the same makers/brands as the second place, I figured why not see if I find something else that I would love more. I wouldn't think it'd be a crime -- also, if I really liked a specific maker, then wouldn't it be possible this maker had other similar dresses..? Also, I could order the dress I liked at this location. First, the consultant was late to my appt. She probably appeared maybe 10 minutes late to the appt. You are also sitting out on the floor so you can see 3-4 other groups at the same time. Everyone else started on time when my consultant was late. The consultant seemed... semi sarcastic and apathetic. She wasn't giving any happy or enthusiastic vibes. She made a comment that my budget was low (around 2-2.5k - but this location has two of the makers that was at another location I visited prior and I tried on plenty of dresses). Also, if yall care so much about people's budgets then maybe warn or list what range ppl should have on the website or appt making page. The consultant didn't really seem to give any care to be there. She made it seem like what I wanted was impossible to find - which is far from the truth (I tried on plenty at the other two stores). Maybe this boutique's range is way above, then I'd suggest maybe putting a range on the appt page. However, again.. I made an appt at this place because they had specific designers that I liked from another store and these designers seemed to be in my budget. I tried on a dress, which fit me - I could zip it up (I'm a dress size 8) and there was a part that seemed to cinch a bit weird. I pointed it out and she pretty much made me feel like I was too fat for the dress. "Remember when you struggled to get it up?" Lol thanks, lady. You mean when it was a bit hard to pull over my bike shorts bc of two fabrics rubbing together? The consultant told me about her love and life story - which part of her plan is to quit soon... maybe this is why she didn't seem to care. The point of the appt is to make the bride feel special... She never "oohed or aahed" to make me feel special - and none of the other consultants in the store did that for any of the brides. All the other consultants seemed to just ignore other bridal parties. Other stores seem to have all the workers make you feel special. At the end, the consultant kept saying that I already had my dress in my head so she made it seem like there was no point of me even trying on dresses. She made me feel like I was wastinf her time. And she said she couldn't give me a set price on how much alterations would be (I wanted to add a mesh back). I did get an estimated price - apparently adding a mesh back is $700-800 (sounds $$$ to me) on top of another standard $850. She also kept commenting on how late I was to the dress shopping game (my wedding is 2025) and making me feel not great. The other two locations didn't even comment on my timeline and said I was fine. I felt like all she cared about was to sell me the dress so she can get her commission - but because of her lackadaisical service, I decided to go back to the second store even if the price was a bit more at the other location. read more

Had a great dress shopping experience at Jaehee Bridal! The shop is larger than expected from the outside, with a great range of styles and sizes to help brides choose the perfect gown. Unlike some shops, brides are able to look through racks and choose dresses to try if they want. This helps make the experience more fun and made me feel like I got to see the whole inventory for myself. Some floor model dresses show signs of wear, which is expected since many brides try them on (and also not that uncommon at shops). My consultant Jessica was super friendly, accommodating, and had a good knowledge of the inventory. I was torn between two dresses (one I tried at Jaehee, and one I tried elsewhere) but was confused because I couldn't try them on back-to-back. Jessica was able to get the dress loaned from the designer so I could try them on together and feel comfortable making a decision. Prices are also reasonable and management is willing to work with brides to an extent. I ended up purchasing a reception dress from Jaehee, and can't wait for it to come in! The salon also regularly works with and recommends an alterations shop nearby in Englewood, which takes one additional headache off the bride's shoulders. Overall, would highly recommend Jaehee to anyone in the process of dress shopping and also would like to give a huge shoutout to Jessica for making the whole experience so wonderful! read more

I hate to be in a situation to give two stars because much of the experience has been great - they have an incredibly wide selection which helps you narrow in your purchase. This is a warning to other brides to either take your business elsewhere or at the very least validate ABSOLUTELY everything about the dress and take notes on the order of what was agreed to. I bought a dress that the sales consultant Bonita helped me select. I wasn't happy with the color so she told me that it could come in ivory. There was a top and bottom of the dress. Before purchasing, I confirmed multiple times that if I updated the skirt to ivory that the top would also be in ivory. She said yes. My parents who were with my remember. And Bonita in a text message also confirmed this was her assumption that the dress would be ivory. When purchasing, the only questions they asked me to confirm was 1. Size I wanted (which they won't consult you on) and 2. If I wanted a rush delivery. Fast forward to now. I receive the dress and immediately say this isn't what I ordered. The bottom was ivory. The top the same as I tried at the store, a nude. It looked terrible and two toned. The alterations My daughters has been so freaking incredible. They reviewed two options to make the dress match WHAT I WAS TOLD was being ordered. The cheaper option costing nearly half the cost of the dress. I immediately went to Jaehee to get them engaged. They were very friendly and researched. They learned that the dress cannot be ordered as we had thought and I needed to talk to Bonita to find out what happened. She texted me "I'm really sorry for the miscommunication. When we placed the order I was under the assumption also that the dress was coming ivory ivory nude with the assumption the dress was going to be ivory. The only solution to fix this problem is unfortunately rebuilding the top.". I asked to speak to a manager to have them simply cover the alterations to make the dress acceptable (I even went with the cheapest option to achieve what was an acceptable - not a two toned dress. It still won't be what they had sold to me because they - to Bonita's point - would need to rebuild the top completely). After waiting 4 days to talk to a manager (my wedding planner ended up having the conversation because I was busy) - They then denied the miscommunication. Said it was my fault. Showed me online that the dress couldn't come the way it was described (but they didn't show me the website before I ordered, I trusted them as my sales consultant to consult me and answer questions accurately). The alterations team felt bad and took a hit, giving me a minor discount on the work. Very disappointed they didn't make it right. read more

They even had this dress listed for free shipping so if I were to visit the store and buy it, I though I could ask for little bit of discount from there. Brides, I'm seriously telling you, this happened for real. Few days later I received an appointment confirmation text and it continues to inform that the dress I was looking for is sold at $3,000 in retail but they have a sample gown and if I like them, they are willing to sell it for $1,800. WHAT? THIS DRESS IS LISTED FOR $800 online! where did additional charge of $1,000 came from? So I continued to to confirm if we are talking about the same dress. The bridal shop confirmed that it is the same dress but if I wanted to pay $800, then I have to buy from the website, not at bridal shop considering "store consultation" service provided. Really? I've never heard in my life that bridal store consultation fee is $1,000. So I asked if I can still try it on and make a purchase from the preowned website, they said no and it doesn't work that way. Then I argued that if a bride makes an appointment and tries on the dress and end up not purchasing a dress, what different does it make with this situation? are they going to force the bride to buy the dress? I loved the dress, but without having to try it on, I'm looking for a different dress. They make you pay $475 for unlimited ONE TIME alteration fee, meaning the first time you go try your dress on you can alter it however you need to, but just that ONR TIME, any other fitting where you want to mak changes, that comes outta your pocket. I then had to pay 2 more times not due to weight loss or gain. Once for the bussle and another time for bunching caused by the FIRST alteration. They were supposed to alter my sleeves which they didn't , I ended up having to safety pin them on my wedding day. Finally, my dress had a built in corsett a bone must have popped out because when I put my dress on it was scratching my side. Here is what my dress did to me. Celeste was AMAZING in helping us out for a bridal emergency! My daughter had ordered a dress from a different bridal shop, and even after the alterations, was not at all happy with her dress. Looking back at other dresses she had liked, we went back to Jaehee to see if they had it in stock and if we could just buy it off the rack. Her wedding was in 10 days...... she actually found another dress she fell in love with, and even though it was a couple sizes too big, they assured me that their tailor would be able to get it done in time for the wedding. They were also able to cut her veil shorter to go along with the dress, and she looked absolutely beautiful. I was hesitant to write a review until I brought my dress to my tailor for alteration. Now that I have my worst nightmare confirmed, here's the breakdown: THE STORE - Clean, bright, big. You have your own area, your own changing room. I went with a friend and was pretty happy about this. This is my 3rd bridal atelier (on my own). I VERY recently wedding-dress shopped with my bestie. So... if we count that, then this is probably my 11th? 12th? THE SERVICE - Greetings from the front desk was fine. Not the friendliest, but not cold either. Wouldn't chuck it under your typical asian store experience, but can't say it's that much better either. No pictures are allowed... which was weird. This is the first atelier that did that. And in pandemic times? What if my mom and siblings wanted to be part of the experience but weren't able to - like in my case, due to a 12 hour time difference? Anyway, person who served us was lovely, Jaehee herself stopped by to say hi which was nice and seemed like the nicest person. They measured me and assured me that I needed a size 4 for a Watters dress. They're the professionals, so I trusted them and didn't think much of it. UNTIL I went home and looked up the sizing charts. I mean, I could easily fit into a 2 and it would still be loose. AND it was an A-line... meaning if they were worried about my hip size being between a 2 and 4... but wait. Why would they be? But I was able to call and make the change pretty easily the very next day since they haven't put in an order. Eunice helped me over email and phone, and she was the sweetest. THE WAIT: I visited and paid for dress on November 14 and received my dress on April 15. Not too bad. THE DRESS: Now this is the reason why Jaehee is only getting 1 star. The DRESS. The quality and make of it (see pics) was just TERRIBLE. It was WAYYYY bigger than the supposedly size 2 - falling off my shoulders after zipping up - mind you it's not a sweetheart. Can you imagine if it was a 4?? They also sold me separate cap sleeves for $200 that the "dress doctor" can attach for me. I wanted to use a tailor I have known, so I didn't say yes to going to their "dress doctor." LUCKILY I didn't do that. Who knows how much they were going to charge me. I brought the dress with the $200 falling-apart UGLY cap sleeve that they sold me to my tailor, and she inspected the dress and told me "Yeah, the make on this is terrible." For the amount of money I paid for the dress, this is ridiculous. So yeah, don't go here. I'm surprised Watters is okay with this. Or if truly maybe Watters makes bad quality dresses? I can't believe how lucky I was to find Jaehee Bridal. Please hear my story out! I went to FIVE wedding dress shops (and tried on about 5-7 dresses in each place) before finding Jaehee. To be honest, going to Jaehee was a last-minute decision. I found them on WeddingWire because 1) they were near Kleinfeld, my last planned stop and 2) they were Asian-owned. (It was important to me to be inclusive while picking out vendors.) The salon was so clean and beautiful from the moment I walked in. The staff greeted me and my sisters warmly. Everyone was really nice and welcoming! Consultant Celeste was so fun to work with! She listened to what I was looking for and pulled beautiful dress options. They have a wonderful selection of all different types of gowns and you receive your own space with a huge mirror and changing room. 2. Everyone was super friendly and nice which sometimes is not always the case at bridal boutiques 3. My bridal consultant Angela was by far the absolute best I had come across...so helpful and went above and beyond to try to make my vision come to life (I wanted a tight dress with a removable ball gown over top...she even asked JaeHee if she could custom make the skirt for a wonderful price). ZERO STARS We have had the WORST EXPERIENCE. Dress came 3 months late from the date we were promised. The dress came June 26th 2021 for a July 31st 2021 wedding. Originally I was very happy with Jaehee Bridal as the shopping experience was pleasant. They have these large carts to hang the dress from as you shop. Samantha was quick and great at listening to my likes and dislikes. Ultimately I did not find something in the store and they ordered a dress I had seen in a different store. They were able to get it in quickly and price match. I was told to use the dress doctor/my daughters wedding 3 for alterations as they price ala carte so you only pay for what you need done instead of a whole package. When I went for my alterations I was told it would be $899 when I needed very simple changes, the woman pinning me even jokingly said what do you need done?? Because the dress fit so well. Dress doctor said that Jaehee rep should not have quoted pricing and there's nothing they can do. Am currently searching for a new seamstress and left feeling I should have just bought the dress from the original store I found it at. I am writing this review to warn any brides-to- be that might be thinking of purchasing their dress at Jae Hee Bridal in Englewood. It would be very wise to shop elsewhere. My son's fiancé ordered an Israeli designer wedding dress from Jae Hee in September 2021 for their October 2022 wedding. The dress she tried on was a size 2, and JaHee was going to order a 4, as the dress was snug. Long story short, the dress came in, and the bride can barely squeeze into the dress. This dress had no label, and had several pulls on the illusion fabric. After contacting the designer in Israel ourselves, we came to find the store hadn't been an authorized seller since 2020. The designer asked that we send a copy of the order, since they had no record of a sale from the store. JaHee refused to show us the order, as she said it was "internal" and "confidential". She also had nothing to say when I asked her to send a copy of the order to Israel, if she didn't want us to see it. Basically, Jae Hee ,along with her accomplice salesperson, took the order for over $7,000, knowing they would have to find a back door way of getting the dress. The bride ended up with a tattered dress two sizes too small, six weeks before the wedding. Was it a counterfeit ? No idea. She and her salesperson almost had us convinced she could fix the dress to where it needed to be, but there was barely enough dress to cover her, and after the stunt they pulled, we had major trust issues, to say the least. She refunded the money with her head hung low, but something tells me this is something she's done before. If you decide to get an expensive dress from them, I suggest you confirm with the designer that they received the order, so you don't end up in a situation like this. Might I also mention that the veil that came in, was fingertip length , when we ordered a cathedral length. She told us it was the one we ordered, but shorter, when our photos showed the lace trim was different. When I posted this story to a local page on another site, several other women commented that they had similar experiences with the store,too. Make sure you read all reviews, because even though many brides end up in a better situation , there are too many that went terribly wrong. I don't think their 4+ rating on Google is representative of what is really going on there. I have a feeling that they hire people to clean up their online presence ( just a hunch) . WARNING: they order you fake ugly knock off's designer they should be reported . I paid over $4,800 for two dresses I never took from they salon. WARNING: you'll try on dresses on the showroom floor but I say it again what you get is the cheap Gordy ugly knock off from what you originally tried on, sample dresses. I've shop all over the world and I never experienced such deceit. I ordered two dresses when it arrived two months later I went to they're suggested Dress Doctor that's another shop across from dress doctor ( just the name alone sounds like a place of horror! My experience was awful they cover up there mistakes. My dresses looked ugly!!' It was five times my size - I wear normally are size 2-4 it was like a size 12 to 14- I held the dress up it was so heavy and huge / very large on a small frame women, the seamstress tried to pin the dress- take it in to conform to my shake on my body was like taking linoleum flooring and wrapping it on my body it was heavy thick material like canvas she could not pin it! The ladies fingers was bloody from trying and she got blood all over my two dresses. Which the owner ran across the street to wash it out with water. WARNING: don't waste your time going to jaehee Bridal. I had be taken advantage I never left with my wedding dresses I refused to take that day . I called them when I was driving back home and told them do not alter my dresses. I called my credit card merchant and disputed my purchase. Because I signed a waiver when you order your dresses to fit your size . They said I signed a contract can't return dresses. Well I never took it from the store. Four months later they mailed my unused dresses. I lost time and money over $4,800 Trust a consumer who drove over two hours from a magazine add that was so beautiful done. TL;DR: I had to take them to small claims because they messed up my mother's wedding dress that I was supposed to wear for my elopement. DO NOT GO HERE! I will break down the long timeline of this situation to warn others of this horrible place. On February 19th 2020, I visited Dress Doctor with my mom and spoke to Jaehee Lee and her seamstress, Whilma, regarding alterations to my mother's wedding dress. Jaehee Lee drew up a sketch of what I described to her. We discussed that the work done on the dress would consist of adding lace to the bodice of the dress and letting the dress out. At that initial appointment, I paid $900 of the quoted $1800 for the completion of the work on the wedding dress. That day I also scheduled my first fitting where they would have let the dress out in time for July 25th, 2020. I understand my first fitting happened before COVID, but I just want to point out that by the time it was my next fitting they had been open for over a month and the only thing they were supposed to have had done to the dress is let it out. On July 23rd, the night before my first fitting, I was told that lace samples would be available the following day at my fitting. On July 24th, 2020, I attended my first fitting with my mother at Dress Doctor. Upon inspection of the dress, tulle and some lace pieces had already been added to the dress. Contrary to the information provided the previous day, there were no lace samples available to choose from. The dress had not been let out and when I asked the seamstress, Wilma, about the sketch she had no clue what I was talking about and when asked where Jaehee was to speak to, she said she was not available. I then paid another $300 towards the dress on July 24th, 2020, with anticipation that the work on the dress to date would be rectified. On August 21st, 2020, I provided Whilma and another seamstress multiple photographs to depict how I wanted to lace to be applied to my dress. I was advised that the lace would be completed by the next fitting scheduled for September. On September 18th 2020, one month before I needed the dress ready for my wedding, I attended what was supposed to be my final fitting at Dress Doctor. At the time of that fitting, only a minimal amount of the lace had been added and sewn onto the dress. I was devasted that the work had not been done and knew I was running out of time, so I started freaking out and crying. I told Whilma and the other seamstress I wanted to talk to Jaehee immediately. She sent her husband instead who I had never met before and had no idea about the situation. He refused to give me back any of my money and I was forced to look elsewhere on such short notice. Jaehee Lee was made aware that I was scheduled to get married on November 1st, 2020 and I was leaving for my destination wedding on October 31st, 2020. I was promised that the work on the dress would be completed by mid-October, the latest. I went here in 2018 and got very excited about a gorgeous Pronovias wedding dress. We discussed custom elements what I was beyond excited about. The sales girl who helped me was so nice and hands on, until I was not happy with my dress. We even met with the owner of the shop who was so excited about doing the custom elements herself and really brought the vision to life. Once again, she was nice and helpful until we weren't happy and she then she disappeared. At my first fitting, the stylist who was there to help knew nothing of the custom elements that we discussed and was baffled when I asked questions about how things would look. They did not even have my "custom skirt" material at the fitting to see what everything would look like together. I immediately said "this is not the dress not me" and took it off. Fast forward to me trying to get in touch with the sales girls who helped me who was "on vacation" for weeks while I called. Brand new dress, never altered, never worn and they would not take it back. They also would not take the $800 material for the custom skirt but did say they would give us a credit, which in my opinion was not ideal as after an awful experience, I did not want my wedding dress to be from there. I was prompted to write this review as my sister is now getting married and we are researching bridal shops, I would not want a bride to go through what I did. The scramble to get a new dress and the complete disappointment I felt when the store I thought would make my wedding my day so special was not helpful in the slightest. It was very clear that they only want their $$$ and commissions. I still have a never worn, never alternated 2018 Pronovias dress if anyone wants to message me about buying! I cannot rave about this place enough. I had THE best time ever saying YES to the most perfect dress with my consultant Jessica who was an absolute angel!! She was so attentive, sweet and patient with me and was super supportive when I wanted to retry my top picks a few times to make sure the dress I picked was THE ONE. If you're wondering if you should come here. Please do!!!! I went shopping everywhere in NJ AND NY (and even bought a dress elsewhere that I now regret and wish I had spent that money getting a 2nd dress here lol) and this is the only shop I would recommend. I feel like I wasted my time everywhere else tbh. I'm a bit plus size and insecure and wedding dresses are usually way smaller than street sized clothing so it had been super hard finding anything I felt beautiful in and the experiences had been kinda dreadful at every other shop I'd been to (the consultant you work with honestly determines the experience). But not only did Jessica find so many dresses I couldn't stop staring at myself in (Jaehees has such an amazing and HUGE selection and every style imaginable omg) She genuinely was excited for me and even though I was exhausted and looked like a mess from going right after work, I felt like a bride immediately and found myself getting really excited too and it really was such an amazing experience. This place may have a large selection of dresses but that's about all they have. There is no warmth from anyone on the staff. Even after saying "yes to the dress" they give you a mouthwash full of bubbly in a tiny plastic shot cup. No water or anything offered for the bride or her family throughout the appt. Hello Future Brides! While this place had exactly the dress I was looking for, my experience with their alterations place was not as pleasant. I found my dream dress and chose to go to their affiliate, The Dress Doctor, which is located right across the street from their store. I spent $700+ my alterations (which was outrageous to me but spent the money) because I had no other choice at the time and my wedding date was right around the corner. My alterations lady and one of the managers of the store altered my dress for me. While I had a pleasant time working with her, I mentioned a few times that there was something inside of my dress that was poking me and I felt uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I was ignored. However, I figured since my dress was in the midst of being altered, the part that kept poking at me would be fixed after I am completely fitted into my dress. I was not in my dress long enough to know that the end result of my alterations would consist of leaving me in pain and bruises on the top and bottom of ribs. ***The metal rod/ boning of my dress on BOTH sides popped out during my ceremony and scraped me during my entire wedding. I was bleeding during my ceremony & reception & had no choice but to sit through it**** After spending thousands of dollars at Jaehee/ Dress Doctor, I am left with only the memory of a painful wedding dress and I'm extremely disappointed with how the managers & employees handled my case. Not only was I denied a refund after showing them pictures of my bruised body but was given a response of "I'm sorry this happened to you..." A note to any bride; if you are paying YOUR HARD earned money for your dream dress, do not settle & let this place belittle your feelings. I would not wish this experience upon any future bride so PLEASE, speak up if you decide to go to the Dress Doctor or Jaehee Bridal for your wedding dress / alterations. UPDATE: after consulting with the manager from the dress Doctor, I was able to receive partial refund including a phone call from them to apologize. The alteration lady I worked with was very sincere & extremely apologetic. Mistakes happen all the time but I hope this provides anyone who is looking to buy a wedding dress to speak up about any issues they have with their dress before it's too late. My super positive review goes for the dresses as well, I was amazed at how many dresses we did like compared to the other shops where we were trying to like some dresses. Finally posting this review a couple months after my experience. My bridesmaids and I visited in February 2020 before the pandemic swept through the States. Jaehee Bridal was my 4th and also the last atelier I visited and it was where I found THE wedding gown. Prior to coming, I had already done a lot of research and knew what styles of gowns I wanted. Eileen was my consultant and she was very professional. She started off asking for my budget range and we went right into talking about the dresses I've liked and tried on. She demanded me to show her all the photos of the dresses I like which luckily, I saved plenty in my phone (Make sure you have a short list to start so you aren't wasting time). After discussing for 10 minutes, she went out on a hunt and brought back 3-4 dresses to start. I was pretty impressed she remembered all the little details I've mentioned. While trying out all the dresses in a private changing room, Eileen was asking questions and walking me to hear my own thought process. She made me rate each dress after wearing and asked if the dress should stay on the rack or be removed out of my sight. An hour later, I have found my dream dress, a Martin Thornburg dress, which I have laid my eyes on before at a previous Atelier. She helped me confirm that this dress was the one. The only con with Jaehee Bridal is that you are not allowed to take photos of the dresses you try on. It's their way to protect the designs of their designers. My bridesmaids and I were pretty sad about that part but we were able to take photos of me wearing the dress I purchased with them. I will be doing another review after I receive the dress and make alterations with them. read more

Zero quality control and accountability. I had a wonderful experience when I initially selected my dress. It was all downhill after that. Makes sense though...why would they bother caring about their customers after they've paid? This shop partners with an alterations shop so once your dress comes in it gets sent to the alterations shop that preys on the emotions of the bride to make money. you will be charged a jaw-dropping amount for alternations. JUST SAY NO. or better yet do not shop here at all. First, they ordered the wrong dress and veil for me. It was sent to the alterations shop only one month before my wedding date which meant we had to scramble in order to correct it. It was so much unnecessary stress. The alterations shop pushed back and would not accept that the dress was the wrong color and pressured me into signing a form consenting to accept the dress as is. I thankfully refused and after much back and forth had the dress replaced. As for the veil...I was given a jagged raggedy piece of tulle and was told this was the right size veil. the whole experience was awful. I contacted Jaehee to get a refund on the veil and express my concerns with the alterations shop. They did not honor any refund for the veil and played the whole "you have to speaker to the owner" for a refund game...as in, the owner is very busy and doesn't come into the store and you can't have his direct line but he is the only person that can honor a refund. They would not give me a phone number, only an email and I was told that the "manager would call me". To put this into context this was all happening three weeks before my wedding. The manager finally called back and simply repeated that my horrible experience at the alterations shop and their mistakes in providing the wrong dress and veil were "irrelevant" and a refund was not possible. Had the owner simply apologized and taken accountability for their mistakes it would have been fine. But to call my experience irrelevant is so inappropriate and rude. And to have zero hierarchy where there is no store manager and simply a consolidation of power with the owner who is not apprised of day-to-day operations at the store is so inefficient. read more
