Ball hockey is way overpriced. Lots of hot moms here...with their kids, unfortunately.

Love love love this facility! They now have a turf, 4 squat racks, 3 benches, and 5ish free…read morestanding benches! I usually go to gyms based on the vibe the club gives off and I absolutely love this one (plus the location is super convenient for me) The staff are extremely friendly and all the members are amazing. To everyone complaining about how busy it gets, it's a gym.. if you go during normal rush hour times (5-7) obviously it's gonna be packed ‍ There's motivation everywhere around you. From novice gym-goers to bodybuilders to powerlifters.. this gym is for everyone. If you're a first timer at this gym, you could ask literally anyone in the gym for advice and they'll be happy to help (best part about this gym) everyone's there to help each other.

As I travel around the world visiting gyms this one is one of the worst . Terrible space for the…read moreprice . One true leg extension ( when will gyms stop this trend , are they stupid ?!!!! ) ...only one all in one with pull downs for lats . The stupid personal training area has the free motion. The design - wasted office space taking up room : the stairmaster is in the main walk way no privacy for ladies . Too much cardio equipment for the room . Like 5 benches in front of the dumbbell rack lol !!!! It's beyond me they charge $80 a month for this bottom of the barrel gym . Whoever organized this gym needs to be fired or doesn't know anything about work flow , organization or equipment or working out . Gyms in the USA have learned those personal training areas are more detriment than beneficial . Just stop good life you guys are terrible . Who runs this company ?????? Not only that their deception in the inability to cancel memberships . Terrible !!!!!!!! Must be a dumb CEO .

I'm noticing there's a lot of hate for TSSC, but I happen to be a fan. I agree it's expensive, but…read moreif it weren't for TSSC I wouldn't have met a lot of amazing people. Joining a team means I'm guaranteed to do some sort of physical activity once a week. Even though we don't always win, we always have a great time on the field. We continue having a great time afterward, off the field as well. I don't mind that there are no refs because it allows us to work it out amongst ourselves. Being in a "Social" league means everyone is very fair (for the most part). It's playoff time and we just (miraculously) beat the first place team. Maybe my opinion is slightly skewed tonight...

Considering you can't give 0 stars, TCSSC gets 1 extra star for sport selection, both that's really…read moreall they have going for them. First, the prices are ridiculous. Compare to any other leagues in the city and other cities around the world and you'll realize you're being gouged. I would be fine with the price if the product was of high quality. Instead you get terrible customer service and no referees. I realize the sports are co-ed and recreational, but no referees leads to a multitude of problems, especially when the games become more intense (i.e. playoffs). I played one season of indoor soccer in this league and it was a horrible experience. First of all, there are no nets, instead you use flipped elementary school benches like you're a 5-year-old. We had a disputed goal in the semi-final game (what a surprise!) and the TCSSC head office staff was extremely unhelpful when we tried to resolve the issue. We vowed never to play in TCSSC again. Please support another GTA sports league: XTSC. Their prices are cheaper, indoor/outdoor soccer includes real nets, all games are officiated by an XTSC referee, and the staff are extremely professional and accommodating. The problem is that they only have soccer, dodgeball, and volleyball at the moment. Please support them so that they can start to add more sports!

Certainly do not recommend joining their personal training program. The PT costs just as much as…read moreother places but the quality is disappointing and disastrous. You will not get your money's worth. The trainers do your sessions like running a factory line. My trainer (young male Indian) just repeats "perfect" to whatever you did and does not have a set routine or program that you can take away. Communication with him was also impossible. I was really sick the day before the session and when I requested a rescheduling he said no as it would mess up his already aligned schedule. He also offered no availability in time as he did not want to make more than one trip to the centre. Also because my request wasn't made within 24 hours, he said I would have to either come in sick or miss the session that'll be charged. It was absurd how a PT trainer and an institution like YMCA will not accommodate and say you will lose a session for being sick cuz it wasn't notified in time. I only remember being frustrated and stressed throughout the experience.

If this was a food review, I'd award a '4', but it's not so I'll go ahead with a '5'. Let me…read moreexplain... The facility was probably built in the late 70's or early 80's. There's a few aspects which give it an older 'worn' feeling as a result. The architecture is a little dated, though still not bad and allows for lots of natural light in many places. But seeing as visuals are not nearly as important with gyms as they are with food, it doesn't really have a bearing on the experience. In terms of a mid-range gym, this is right up there. They seemed to have quite a number of rooms, which were there for multi-purpose, ping-pong, cycle-fit, studios, full-sized basketball court, etc.... They even had a separate cardio station apart from what is also available in the main workout area - allowing more room for weights. The running track was in a slightly odd location as you almost go up stairs near the back entrance and you're effectively running on the roof - though it is covered. The pool is quite large with several 25m lanes and is separated from the other multipurpose pool area. It might sound a bit gross to say this, but it probably helps in the event there's 'foulings' by kids in the other pool which wouldn't affect the lane swim. They advertised that the place was recently renovated, it was was apparent in the main weight room area - as well as the plus change room. It's a dream if you're into free weights as they have 6 racks with proper stands. Those racks use bumper plates too so there's far less worry if you drop the bar - especially if you're into Olympic lifting. The area where the plates land is slightly padded too which prevents them from bouncing around. There were loads of free weights and other machines available. There was also a corner that had kettle bells, punching bag, and monkey bars. The plus change room was massive. Huge steam room which got super HOT, which is to my liking. They also a dry sauna and a large whirlpool. Everything looked quite clean and new, so I'm assuming it was part of the recent renovations. Certainly check this place out if you're in the area. Don't expect to be wowed upon first entry, but if you're looking for a great weight room and large change room with amenities with your gym experience, you'd do well to check it out.
