The staff was nice and helpful. Our waitress took the time to have a conversation with my son about the difference of living here versus where we live. We enjoyed the soup and crab dip but some of the fries were overcooked. Blackened scallops and crab cake sandwich were good. My mom said the oysters had a little too much breading on them but was still good. Another party dining while we were there really liked the blueberry pie for dessert. The marina is interesting for photos and a small stroll after eating. read more

This is a very small restaurant that features fresh seafood at very reasonable prices. It is situated less that 15 feet away from the water at the end of a working fishing marina with stacked crab pots along the road. It was cloudy the night we were there but on a sunny day it would probably be picturesque. We tried steamed shrimp and steamed clams. Both done perfectly. Crab dip was tasty Fried Soft Crabs were lovely and crunchy. It's worth the drive to Greenbackville. Expect to wait for a table if they are busy, and since it's so small they can get busy quick. read more

We stopped here because we saw what looked like a seafood boil in the pics and wanted that and couldn't find a menu online to verify so we figured we would take a chance and head there. Well, they didn't have that anymore on their menu which was disappointing because it looked delish but we got some other items which were all really good and at a reasonable price. The fried flounder was light and fresh and not greasy or heavy to fishy. Fries are clearly homemade and not frozen out of a bag and delicious. Hush puppies were great. We also had the steamed shrimp which were delish, fresh and a good sized portion. Service was great. Place wasn't very busy when we arrived and seems to be more of a local hidden gem than a touristy overpriced place that you usually see. Amazing service the waitresses were so kind. The food was delicious and have good portions.

We had fried soft crab, grilled flounder, Maryland and crab soup. Everything was delicious. Quiet atmosphere, seating for approx. 50 in the big room. Bar is well air conditioned. Big room has a couple small AC units (working?) and temp in the low 80s (on a hot Sunday afternoon outside temp 91F). View is wonderful. We recommend! read more

We went to the Harbor's End restaurant with a party of 7. We had steamed shrimp, crab cakes, steamed crabs, fried oysters and drumfish prepared 3 different ways. Not a complaint was heard. I never had drumfish before but my grilled dish was wonderful and the server said it was brought in from the boats outside that morning... as were the crabs. Summary... food and service was excellent and not overly expensive. While it's a little out of the way and the building is not much to look at, it was a great dining experience. read more

Server was nice but gave us grief over trying to order a cheese quesadilla for our toddler....they have a seafood quesadilla on the menu...after 20 questions and the server saying the chef might yell at her....i said I would like a seafood quesadilla with no seafood, just leave the cheese....wouldn't make it...if we weren't 30 mins from another restaurant during a monsoon we would have taken our business elsewhere. Very disappointing lunch . Cream of crab soup was thick and had potatoes in it and was spicy way to much OBAY. Clam strip basket was a bunch of little pieces of fried batter very few strips . We won't be back save your money and eat at home read more

Vacationing to a nearby town, nowhere else was open so I figured we'd give it a shot. We ordered a multitude of things for kids and adults including burger, cheese quesadilla, and the huge seafood platter which was the most expensive thing on the menu. The seafood fish fry was awful, and I was very upset with how much I paid for it. Burger had no flavor. The staff were very rude and I felt like we were interrupting their flirting time when I walked in and they were sitting at a table together. read more

Wanted to "buy local". Went to harborview as I have numerous times. Waitress told me I couldn't get a meal to go? It was 6:45 on Friday night? Went to Ray's Shanty and had no issues!!! The restaurant had its soft opening tonight, so we went to see the newly renovated building. The restaurant has new furniture, new fixtures, new air systems, and freshly painted epoxy floors. Drove up there specifically because they had steamed blue crabs on their menu. Arrived Saturday evening at 5:15 and they were out of crabs! I had grilled flounder instead which was fine but not something to rave about. Salad was def from a bag- hard chunks of brown edged iceberg lettuce. Fried shrimp were good. Fresh cut Fries were decent. Cream of crab soup was very good. Pretty basic setting could do with a good cleaning and some fly tape. read more

The food was super bad, the mac n cheese tasted horrible and my crab dip fries were not appetizing aswell. When i finally got my burger and fries my burger was a 2 out of 10, i don't even know how you mess up a burger, and the fries were just horrible. We had asked for a sweet tea for our drink and after reminding the waitress about our drink after at least telling her 5 times she finally got the sweet tea after a hour and i would understand if it was busy or packed BUT there was only 2 tables full in the restaurant, us and another family. I live in this Beautiful Little town & do business with A lot of the Locals & the Visitors & I have to say that I have been hearing some good but Also A LOT of Bad from some of the People & Locals that were expecting the food to be better & the service to be better, From our personal experience so far & I Myself will have to say when we were in, the Service was GREAT & We were treated GREAT, However there were only 5 tables with people so it was slow, However we have had People tell us that they had to wait for over A hour for there food. We did not have this issue as of yet or we would get up & walk out because this shows how you do not care to get the right people there to service your costumers & that you do not care or some people are not "working" or NOT working together to get Quality food out to the people that they are getting paid by & That is your Customers ! Now we had so far & We will rate what we had so far from 1. bad to 10 good. Crab cakes gets A Rating of 1. Way to salty & could not eat them. The Hard-shell CRABS they get A Rating of 1. from us because Some one does not know how to steam & season crabs the way they should be. The Ribs Get A rating of 5 from us because they were ok but not done the way ribs should be done & with only 1 little dish of BBQ sauce was Sad. Now we also had the Scallops & I would have to rate them at A Rating of 8 because they were quite Greasy & I ordered mine grilled & she ordered hers broiled & no matter both were Greasy & couldn't even tell the difference in ether so a little disappointed for the cost, We Expected better. The fries are ok but again some one needs to learn HOW to season With SEA Salt as soon as they come out of the fryer unless the costumer request them not to be salted, I give them A Rating of 9. This by far has been my worst dining experience EVER. When I arrived at the restaurant I was excited about having a new place to dine but was quickly let down. Not only did I start the experience with a terrible glass of ice tea, but after returning from the ladies room I found that the owner had seated other guest at my table !!! As I waited for another table to be cleaned a local was trying desperately to maneuver his automated wheelchair over the door frame to exit the building where he was receiving no help from the staff, not only did he have to struggle with no help from staff once he exited the building the staff actually made snigh, insulting comments and calling him stupid after his departure, the owner in fact made the statement that he shouldn't have been in there scuffing up her woodwork !!! Absolutely appalling!!!! Once I was seated again another waitress told me that the owner had cleared another guest table when he went to the restroom and he hadn't even finished his meal just the day before. Taking in all the commotion when my meal finally came I was in disbelief. It looked horrible and very little for the price. Trying to give the benefit of the doubt I began to eat.... the oysters that I ordered didn't taste like local oysters and when the waitress asked I told her that I was disappointed, further more 4 of the 6 oysters that I was served were basically oyster batter without an oyster to even be found. When I went to pay for the overpriced meal the owner of the restaurant announced herself and became very argumentative , I expressed to her that it was fine, she demanded to know what I didn't like about the meal and when I told her my opinion she became very ugly about it. I told her again, that was fine, I wish her well, I just won't be back unfortunately. ... she laughed and suggested that I should have ordered something different from the menu. Later that afternoon I became very, very sick, i was sick that whole weekend.... I called her the next day that they were open to make her aware out of concern for other consumers and she was very very ugly about my calling and even suggested that I was not being honest about being sick. Absolutely unacceptable, she did not have any care whatsoever about the possibility that someone else could become sick. I will never be back.... I hope that the quality of food and service improve for other customers, but that's going to half to be coached by a owner who cares, and clearly the owner I spoke with does not. read more
