Because you have to put your card on file when joining the school they have access to charge your card whenever. When I noticed I was charged an extra $55 in the month of November I asked Ms.Julie the director of the school what the charge was for. She told me that it was a custom fee for the recital in May and if we decided to not participate in the recital that we will be able to apply the $55 towards tuition. Later I decided to withdraw my daughter from the school. I asked them to apply the $55 towards the last month they charge upon withdrawal. Expected to be charge an additional $20 being that a months tuition is $75 and clarified with Abbey the Receptionist when I turned in my withdrawal form. To then be charge then entire $75. Still believing in the good of people and ethics in their business I figured I would call and explain what had happen and everything would get fix. Instead they never picked up or return my call after leaving a voicemail. Instead I received an email from Ms.Julie stating that costume fee are non refundable. Even though I wasn't asking for a refund I was simply asking for the charge to be applied towards tuition being that my daughter wasn't participating in the recital. I tried calling multiple times and still no answer so I decided to take a trip to have a conversation with Ms.Julie. Ms.Julie was very condescending and continued to interrupt me while I was trying to explain her the entire situation. She ended up cutting me off mid sentence for the last time and dismissed herself. My 5 year old daughter who looked up to Ms.Julie and was attending her class for several months was doing the potty dance and told me she really had to use the restroom. I started to walk towards the restroom with my daughter when Ms.Julie told me my daughter her former student is not allowed to use her restroom she needs to go next door to the gas station. My daughter was very hurt and I was disgusted. I am happy with my decision of withdrawing my daughter from this school. It was never about the money for me, rather about ethics and professionalism which clearly they have none at the Collierville Arts academy. These people don't accept honest feedback only compliments. They never admit to any wrong doing and never apologize.

At the time Justin Timberlake's little brother Jonathan was one of my students as well and I remember he took to dance really well. I taught 3 to 4 classes a day from 8 years old to the teenagers and a mommy class on Fridays. Those were the good ole days in Memphis, but if you're ever in Germantown and you have the need to get your dance on please go to this studio.

Each spring, students work together and put on a big recital, for which parents have to stand in line to buy tickets. Costumes, production, the whole shebang. Rehearsals are daily the week prior to the program. Every other week of the school year, students attend a weekly class. The little ones take in the downstairs classrooms, accessed either through a back door (which they don't want anyone using when weather is cold, because it puts a chill on the downstairs studios), or through the painfully tight upper lobby and down a set of metal spiral stairs. When classes change, this is a truly hectic scene. I've started just dropping my 3 year old daughter in the lobby to walk herself down, because the stairs make me so nervous! In the changing area/restroom, something is always broken or out of order. The big dance area upstairs is a beautiful space, with plenty of room, great windows, and the tweens and teens seem to take their classes up there. The little girls are allowed to wear whatever leotard they like to classes, as long as they have appropriate dance shoes and purchase the tap shoes provided by the studio (they must all match for the show). Hair is to be up in a bun when possible, and not in a bow. When we came to join the studio in the fall, we may have caught the staff at a bad time. Miss Deborah, the dance teacher for the little ones, had just driven to Chicago and then lost her phone while she was up there. I never could get anyone on the phone from the actual studio, and have not been able to get much information from them via email. Your best bet is just to come into the studio between 4-5:30 one afternoon, to get information in person. It sounds from this review that it is a terrible place, but my daughter *adores* her hour-long ballet class, Miss Deborah, and the other little ballerinas. As long as she continues to enjoy it, we'll keep her enrolled. Maybe someday they'll expand, or get a bigger space. Until then, keep handing out the stickers, and we'll keep paying!

THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD! We had crab balls, blackened shrimp tacos, chicken and sausage gumbo, and macaroni and cheese. The food was hot and well seasoned. There was not a long wait, although it would have been worth it. Additionally, the young lady who served us our food was very attentive and friendly. I'm sure the other young lady who stopped us on the way out was one of the owners or manager. She was very friendly. I sang the theme song to "Cheers" just yesterday and came to a place for lunch that made me feel just like that - like everyone knows your name. I watched regulars come in and were greeted with what I've come to know as great Southern charm and hospitality- not overbearing but very welcoming. I'm looking forward to returning with my husband. Thank you, The Orleans on the Ville, for a great birthday eve! Signed- The lady with the nutmeg colored pants

I went in with my food critics hat on and was open about the fact that I was evaluating the restaurant. The server, who was also the bartender, Miguel, was over the top friendly. He guaranteed that the food would be better than I hoped and authentic. He explained that the owners were from Metarie, Louisiana and that they brought the flavor with them. I ordered country fried steak with brown gravy, fried okra and steamed broccoli with extra butter. I asked for a cup of the jambalaya as an appetizer for good measure. First the jambalaya was some of the best I have ever had. It was flavorful, fragrant, hot and the rice was perfectly cooked. Not to be taken lightly is the phrase "best I ever had". I have traveled and it's not just the best in this area, but better than that I have had in all of my travels to Louisiana and the gulf states. The okra was seasoned perfectly, hot and tasted fresh not frozen. Another score. The broccoli looked like it might have been the loser on the table as I didn't see the extra butter I requested, but I tried it. The butter was all over it already and it was very very well seasoned. I was shocked. Actually shocked. Do you know how many restaurants get this wrong? Far far more than get it right. And it was right. The country fried steak was also no slouch. The breading was crunchy, seasoned and not over or under cooked. The gravy was able to accompany the dish without making it soggy and the item did not come to my table dripping with pan grease. Yet another win. I met the owner on my way out and complimented her restaurant's service and food. I will definitely be back and will recommend the place to all who ask. Great job and hats off to you.

Now in its 56th year, the studio prides itself on providing the highest quality dance education--Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Modern and Hip Hop--as well as stage presence, acting and pageant preparation. Thanks to the combination of excellent training and Ms. Brown's emphasis on traditional values like hard work, dedication, team work, commitment and attention to detail, her students consistently win top awards in competitions, earn college dance scholarships and go on to perform professionally. While those accomplishments are impressive, perhaps the strongest testament to how special it is to "grow up" at Performing Arts is that former students bring their children (and grandchildren!) here to continue the tradition.
