I absolutely love Francesca and The Healing Source! I came to her after a horrible accident years ago and was so grateful that she takes clients with insurance claims. The work she did made such a big difference in my recovery. Most recently I came to her for a PRENATAL massage!!!!! Oh my goodness...if you are looking for a prenatal work up, look no further. I booked a 90 minute and it was the perfect length of time. I was a week out from my due date and felt such relief and so much peace during my appointment. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming and clean. I highly recommend her services, you won't be disappointed. She is highly intuitive and very passionate which makes such a difference. I didn't even have to ask her to adjust the pressure or change anything related to her technique, she just read my body and tension and knew what to do. The only downfall is that they do not have parking, but don't let that stop you, because they have street parking all over and you are always bound to find a spot. It is located next to Zippys, upstairs above Rise & Grind Coffee shop. Francesca is amazing at what she does! She makes sure you are comfortable, has relaxing music and amazing lotion that leaves you feeling 100x better than you did before you arrived. I was referred to Francesa by a friend. I have a spine injury (spondylolisthesis and sciatica), and brought notes from a previous massage practitioner on what had worked for me. Francesca reviewed the notes, but then performed a massage that completely disregarded them. It felt like a generic back pain massage, not the specific therapeutic massage I had asked for. In retrospect, I should have said something when the massage was not covering what I wanted, but I trusted her. At the end, it was obvious that something was not right. I was unable to bend to put my shoes on, and getting dressed was extremely painful. I know all this runs contrary to what other reviewers have posted: I'm not a habitual one-star-reviewer. I just had a 90 minute myofascial release massage for the first in my life & let me tell you... it was the most relaxing 90 minutes of my life! Izabela is absolutely AMAZING! She was very informative about what she will be doing & what you will experience & she reassures you, that what you're feeling is normal & to embrace it & just let go. Let it all go. For as long as I can remember... I've always suffered from chronic back & neck pain. & over the years, & after having kids... it just got worse. She takes the time to really feel where there is tension in my muscles and explains to me what she is doing and how it will relieve pain and tension. She worked with chiropractors for many years and often gives me advice on when to see the chiropractor, stretches I can do at home, and how to prevent injury. The healing source doesn't have the fancy spa atmosphere, but if you want a great truly therapeutic massage, the Healing Source is the place. The location is no-frills but is very clean, minimalistically decorated and homey feeling. I have learned to set the bar lower when I travel - I will admit that I have an amazing massage therapist at home (Portland, OR) and, after over ten years with her I have become something of a snob. I ESPECIALLY hate "spa" or "resort" massages because they are ALWAYS lame - light, non therapeutic, often with gross smelly oils, just soooooo not worth it. So vacationing in Hawaii, I thought there was no way I would get a real massage. I was wrong. Just trust me on this - the therapists at this place know what they are doing. The massage therapists at the Healing Source are hands down the best! They are highly experienced and you come out feeling like a million bucks! The atmosphere is very relaxing and you never feel rushed. They take the time to consult you on your ailments or any pain you are having, and they customize the massage according to what you need..They definitely know what there doing! I am very athletic (workout twice a day, paddle surf, etc) so I love deep tissue massage, I need someone to dig in there and work out all my knots, and my therapist Corin did that! She was nice and strong (but not to strong) and dug into my sore problem areas and stretched out my tight muscles! She was just the right pressure and had a seamless flow making me feel completely relaxed and jello like :) My fiancee goes to Francesca, and she absolutely loves her also! I am a believer in alternative health care rather than shots and prescriptions. I first met Francesca when I was injured in a car pile up. That was 16 years ago. I have gotten relief from lower back, neck , leg and ankle pain throughout those years. I chose to get massaged every two weeks when physical therapy did not provide long term relief and I noticed my body (and mind) was much healthier and pain free when I was consistent with Francesca.
