DO NOT waste your time if you are looking for an actual massage. I went to get Foot Reflexology. As a retired LMT and former instructor - I know a thing or two. I booked 90 mins hoping for some work on my hands, arms, neck and shoulders before a 1 hour on my feet (reflexology). The guy who worked the front desk told me I was getting 60 min massage and 30 min feet. I told him NO - I wanted 60 min reflexology and 30 mins whatever - just no back massage. I even suggested changing to 60 mins. He took me to a massage room and told me to undress and get under the sheet face down. I told him I just wanted feet. (I was expecting a recliner and a foot bath). I didn't argue - and my "therapist" came in. She was young but spoke good English. She started on my shoulders - and the first tip off was the fact that she had long pointed nails. (no licensed educated massage therapist has long nails) She proceeded to do forearm massage on my upper spine - going over and over the spinal cord (ouch!) I finally asked her to move somewhere else. I said I loved scalp massage - I swear she used one hand and did the same motion for 10 mins (probably looking at her phone) I made it clear that it was not enjoyable. She begrudgingly moved on to my feet. She put a bolster under my ankles in order to work on my feet. (Total rookie move) I asked for a bolster under my knees to support my back. She begrudgingly brought me a pillow. The foot massage was so bad to start. Again - one movement for like 10 mins - same spot. I swear she was on her phone. When I mentioned the lack of variety - she said she had to kill time somehow bc I asked for 60 mins of foot massage. YIKES. She got a little better - but not much. I asked her to just stop bc it was hands down the worst massage / foot reflexology Ive ever experienced. (I did not tell her that) I asked her to finish by doing my hands and arms just to get her to do something else. Not much better. I was never so happy for a session to end. Worst $110 and 90 mins spent - wasted! When she was done she said - "all done" and walked out. I was ready to talk to the front desk guy and tell him it was a bad session - but she was at the desk to check me out. I casually asked her about her training and asked how long she had been licensed and how long she had been doing massage. She said she had gone to school for 3 year to learn Traditional Chinese Medicine and massage. (she did have a couple of Tui Na moves - but they were very basic) I DO NOT recommend anyone to get a massage at this place. My guess is there is a different clientele they are looking to "service" but I have no proof. read more

Had a 90 minute massage booked for Mother's Day and left a bit disappointed. My masseuse was friendly but spoke no English, which normally doesn't bother me, however, when you're giving someone a service, it's important to be able to communicate with each other and understand. ie: confirming which massage you're booked for, pressure, etc. There wasn't any confirmation on my type of massage and I received a massage that I wasn't booked for: deep tissue, sports. Unfortunately I left in a lot more pain than I arrived with. I had attempted to communicate that the pressure was way too hard several times but it wasn't understood. I wasn't able to relax at all and instead just tried to breathe through the intense pain. If you like these types of massages, then this is the place for you. But if you're looking for something light and relaxing, this is not for you. The front desk was a bit frustrating as well. Friendly, but spoke no English so when it came time to pay, the language barrier got in the way heavily. There are quite a few hiccups that need to be fixed before I could recommend this spa. read more

I liked the availability of late appointments. I can come after work. However it was a rather odd massage. The bed didn't have your usual head rest. It was just a hole in the bed. After about 45 minutes I started getting a headache. Normally I would sort of doze off, but I was wide awake the whole time with this massage. When it came time to pay my $110. There was a $10 tax and fees charge. Plus a $20 tip. Not sure what kind of fees they charged but tax should have only been $5. read more

Which was it's an extra $5 plus they wanted me to buy the 90 mins even though I said the 60min is good enough. We go into the room & The lady tells me to take off everything but my thong underwear I had. So I did because that's what I normally do when I get a massage. As I'm waiting for her to come back A MAN comes In to give me a massage. I DID NOT LIKE THAT AT ALL! They DID NOT give me the option if I wanted a male massaging my naked body!! I needed a last minute massage and they were open on the holiday. I called and got an appt for the same day. I asked how much a 60 min massage and cupping would cost- $60 for the massage and $20 for air cupping. They texted me to move the appt time to a little later which was fine and I appreciated them letting me know. It's located in the small shopping complex in Kailua next to the Birkenstock store and with 7-11. Lots of parking and easy to find. When you enter you take off your footwear and place it in a small cubby. I was immediately led to my room which was neat and nicely decorated. They didn't ask any covid screening questions or take temperature. They asked what areas to focus on and I let them know my neck, shoulders and lower back. The two people who I spoke to about what areas to focus on ended up not even being my masseuse.The massage table is a little wider than normal because they'll get on to the table to use their body to put pressure on you- it was good. She asked how much pressure to use- I said medium. She started off medium and then got really hard to where I was wincing so I asked her to go back to medium. She eased up to light which was too light but then the pressure became inconsistent throughout the massage. Sometimes it felt liked she was gliding over my skin with no pressure and other times she was digging her thumbs into my muscle. I felt like a lot of time was spent on my legs even though I mentioned that I wanted to focus on my back. It also seemed like there was more push and release on my body rather than kneading and massaging. They did the cupping at the end of the massage (instead of the beginning like other places I've been). She only used 10 cups on me which was not nearly enough to cover my back. Other massage places cover your back with cups. This was disappointing as I paid $20 extra for this. When they release the cups they use a hot stone on the area which was a nice touch and then they wipe you down with hot towel. It felt like they only used one towel on my body because the first half of the wipe down was warm but by the time it came to the other side the towel was almost cold which was not relaxing. When I was done, they provided a small bottle of water which is a nice touch. About 3 people came out when it was time to pay but no one told me the total and we stood there In awkward silence. I pulled out $80 and handed it to my masseuse who then looked at another staff who said okay. I handed my masseuse her tip and left. Overall if you need a massage just for relaxation and not necessarily to address specific areas that are bothering you, this place will work. I wouldn't recommend paying extra for the cupping. read more

I have been looking for a place that gives foot massages just like they do in Thailand. Voila! I found it. I booked a 60 minute massage and was very pleased. When I walked in l removed my footwear and was given house slippers. After I got situated in the chair they brought warm water to soak my feet. While I soaked the lady loosened up my shoulders and arms by applying pressure. Ooh feels good. After she wipes your feet dry the foot massage begins. Almost fell asleep. Or maybe I did. Afterwards she rubbed my feet with a hot stone. Then wiped my feet and legs dry. It ended with her applying pressure to the perfect spot on my legs while stretching them. I would give it a zero if i could. I came here about a month a half ago or so and it took me till now to really process what had happened. I requested a female (I'm a woman) so i could feel more comfortable, i asked specifically to work on my upper back and she massaged my ASS instead for over half an hour . she also rubbed so far up my thighs it was too close to my private areas. also instead of stepping out of the room to let me flip over she just pulled off the sheet and told me to flip over, no respect of privacy whatsoever. was uncomfortable. 0/10 read more
