I came across this spa really driving through my town. I looked up a few reviews and decided to take a chance. I am SO GLAD that I did. Upon walking into the spa, I really enjoyed the feel and vibe. The staff was really friendly, and I definitely felt welcomed. I had a signature massage performed by DD (Dierdre). She took her time ahead of the session to address any questions I had about the service and my expectations. She listened regarding my recent surgery and adjusted the service accordingly. She was very skilled and attentive during the session. I walked in carrying the weight of some life worries throughout my body and felt brand new when she was finished. I will definitely return to Healing Touch and when I do, I'll request her as my therapist. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

Just came in for my first eyebrow wax in years. I thought I was clear about wanting to keep most of the volume and hair of my brows. Waxer took far too much and didn't maintain my vision at all. I don't even recognize myself. Make sure your waxer truly understands what you're looking for. read more

Emailed Spa about treatment I am interested and my availability. Spa replied they are booked until May 3rd. That's fine. Good for them! Business must be booming! But they did not offer any other date for an appointment. So I email them back, asking which day after May 3rd would they be available. They replied the last availablity is in the afternoon of May 3rd. No other days. At this point I feel insulted and unwelcome. I called them and make sure they are aware of my feelings. So they email me some laconic explanation about trying to work with the therapists schedules. I relpied that their explanation was insufficient. Finally, they reply with specific dates and times for a treatment. Too little too late. read more

I got a package spa certificate for my birthday and have a hard schedule to book around. It was wonderful that receptionist Lana was able to look for me and work with me on finding the best day. I appreciate their work so much. I always come here for services and it's a great place read more

I got a lash lift there. It says online it would take 60 minutes. I was done in 28 minutes and I barely see a difference. I'm really disappointed considering it was $80. Friendly staff but overall would not go there for a lash lift. :/ read more

I've received regular massages for the past 15 years, different therapists, different states. Naturally you don't expect to immediately vibe with a therapist on the first visit, but that's exactly what happened with Marina. She's clearly an excellent therapist: professional, intuitive and mindful. I've already booked my next appointment with her. :) read more

Came here for the first time while on vacation. Decided on this place based on the few Yelp reviews and this place's website. This also costs less than the closest spa to Massanutten, so that helped. Had the customized couples massage with my husband, which I highly recommend. The signature couples massage requires the masseuses to massage each person in tandem, which is ok but not if there are individual body issues. What's hot - Customized towards your body issues. For example, my masseuse focused more on my neck and shoulders, which are my problem areas. My husband's issues were his right knee and shoulders. (Hey, not every couple is perfect!). My masseuse also put a warm towel under my neck when she had me flip on my back. That heat definitely helped loosen my muscles. She also massaged my scalp a little, which helped and felt nice. - Communicative. A good masseuse checks in with you about pressure, location, comfort, etc... These masseuses checked in with us. - Nice ambiance. Clean (very important!) and comfortable. - They didn't skimp on our hour. - You can tip via credit card. What's not - The price is still a little high, but less expensive compared to many of the other local spas. It cost $165 for the hour. You can't have everything and I'll admit I'm spoiled. I'm used to massages in Los Angeles for $15 an hour. For those of you are not familiar: Any good spa requires you to fill out information about your body issues and health history. So if it's your first time, I recommend arriving a few minutes early. Be honest about your body issues. That's the only way the masseuse can cater to your needs. Wear comfortable clothing and don't be self-conscious. Final answer Definitely worth it and if I'm back in the area, I plan on coming back. read more

A gem in Harrisonburg! The service and ambiance were great. My waxing service was timely and professional. Although I am used to hard wax, my esthetician gave me so much information on the Nufree hair removal system that I had no worries trying a "soft wax." I will definitely return! read more

I didn't know Harrisonburg even had this spot, otherwise I would've been coming here the last four years. The staff are incredibly friendly and the wax was easy, not painful, and took 10 minutes. They have full price waxes (discounts on Tuesdays), and then a touch-up wax three weeks later for half the price (I mean, it can't get much better than that). I was in and out so quickly and will definitely be going again! read more

I don't write reviews and had a great experience the first time I got a wax here about a year ago. But the woman that previously did mine left and the new one was very unprofessional completing my Brazilian. She did not clean the area beforehand, or wear gloves. She was very politely during the wax so it does not have to do with her character. At one point she got wax on my labia, attempted to move my labia with her bare hand, to which she couldn't and just pulled the wax off. She took the top layer of skin off, creating a very sensitive open area on the flesh of my labia. After the wax was done I was extremely red and covered in bumps, I later found out this was because all of the hairs were just broken and not actually removed. The hair grew back within a week, and I had very painful in-growns when this was not how my skin reacted to any previous waxes I'd gotten done. I called the next day and the owner required I come in for her to examine the area. I felt extremely belittled and was told it was not policy to clean the area or wear gloves, so then I developed concerns about what if my waxer had done a Brazilian on the woman before me and was spreading germs between clients as she did not wash her hands in the room and felt she could touch my labia. The owner said I could have a refund. That was on March 12th and I have had to call multiple times to discuss where my refund is. Today on the phone the staff member proceeded to argue with me about what card I used and said she'd issued a refund. She refunded it to the wrong card that I'm not even sure who's it is. I was told I have to come in person to pick up the refund to which I asked why was that not offered to me before. She began to tell me that they don't offer refunds but did since I 'demanded it." I corrected her by saying the owner offered me one after seeing the scabbed part of my labia, to which she told me the owner did not see this. I was belittled again and just wanted my refund. I do not recommend this place, customers are at risk for developing infections from lack of sanitation. They showed little remorse and apology for the giant red bumps I had all over my bikini line at the beach the next few days. read more

Wonderful owner. Great atmosphere. Fantastic amenities. I love this place. Been going for years. Never disappoints.

Love this spa!! The staff is very nice, and the prices are affordable. Olivia is so kind and welcoming, definitely recommend getting waxed by her! read more

I loved going here for Brazilian waxing. I requested an eyelash extension and was adamant I suffered from severe latex allergies. The owner assured me they had glue with no latex. I went in & 24 hours later almost needed to go to the emergency room. They took me in to remove the lashes and were unapologetic. I tried to believe in her & rebook services I was used to and she has blocked me as a client. I assure you I believe in small business owners but I would never suggest anyone to use this spa for services especially when an owner doesn't own up to mistakes. read more

Went in for a chin waxing appointment. The appointment was done in probably a minute and a half. The esthetician told me I was good to go without really checking to see if the wax was thorough. Normally they will double check and tweeze any hairs that didn't get taken out. When I got home I noticed a lot of hair that had been missed and left behind. It's hard for me to notice hair left behind because your own chin/neck area is obviously hard to see in a mirror. read more

Terrible customer service.Very rude! I came in today for my 12pm appointment that I called and scheduled last week. They told me that my appointment is not on the system and both the front desk lady and another lady tried to blame it on me. I showed both of them my call history that shows their number the day I called and scheduled my appointment. They didn't even apologize for their mistake and the waste of my time. read more

I have been in love with this place since they opened. They are an amazing grew and I try to stop by anytime I'm in town. They whole staff is very professional and they keep you relaxed from the first moment you step inside. I had my appointment with Ashely and she's amazing. She's really knowledgeable and keeps my eyebrows on point. Truth be told, she's gone only one I actually trust with my eyebrows. I surprised my parents with their first massages and they were extremely pleased. Both massuse were able to work on them and they were both relaxed when they left the building. If you're looking for a place to just relax, this is the best one yet. I've been to a lot of spas, around the east coast, but this one is always number one for me. read more

I got my first Brazilian today and was nervous! But my lady, I do not remember her name, made conversation with me that was very pleasant and natural. And man, she just got right to it! Which was good, because I just wanted to rip the bandaid off, if you will. Very good experience overall! Though... it hurt like hell. read more

I just left this spa. DeeDee was my massage therapist. She was amazing. I am on vacation and after a long day driving I hurt everywhere. After my massage I feel fantastic. Thanks for a great experience. read more

I got a brazilian bikini wax at Healing Touch a couple of weeks ago. It was great, and still is. No irritation, bumps, or ingrown hairs. I highly recommend Ashley for any of your waxing needs. She is considerate and thorough (she'll ask you specifically what you want and do not want. This is something many waxers don't do, so finding Ashley was awesome!) read more

I would give zero if I could. The staff (Deidre) was especially rude and unwelcoming. The atmosphere and overwhelming aromas become too much after a minute of being in the spa. Services provided were sub par and I will not be returning. read more

I found this place while vacationing in Harrisonburg. It was a very nicely designed spa, everything nice and new. The massage tables were even heated so they were nice and warm, which I thought was a nice touch. The owner is a CMT and did a great job with my therapeutic massage. I would definitely go back. read more

My bff and I went here for a massage for ladies weekend. We went in tired and sore, but came out feeling like shiny new nickels. The therapist were great. The hostess even helped me find where they were located when I got lost by coming outside to look for me. Of course the atmosphere was very relaxing and they offer beverages before and after. This place was truly a healing touch read more

This is a nice little day spay in the area. I highly recommend Ashley for facials and waxing!!! Be sure to try the tea, it's wonderful. Also, I tried the airbrush tanning. The experience is a little strange but the service is professional and relaxed. The tan was pretty natural, no streaks or speckles, and it lasted about a week. Great for events. read more

My wife has been MISERABLE with neck pain for a month. She is much better now after one trigger point massage session. Beautiful spa and superb care. It worked very well for her. Five star review. read more

I have been wanting to get my legs waxed for some time. After a few months (and yes I mean months) of researching spas in the Harrisonburg area I decided on The Healing Touch. The price was very good and that they use a wax good for sensitive skin. I highly recommend Ashley for waxing. She did an amazing job. She made me feel very comfortable and she took her time. The day after I had no pain and the best part no hair. I have already made another appointment with her. Might even look into a massage in the coming months. read more

Save your money! I took my teenage son who did not have facial problems only blackheads which he wanted removed. Put on your own rubber gloves, use your FINGERS to SQUEEZE out blackheads in the conveyance of your own bathroom. But $75, plus 20% tip in your wallet and call it a day. Because as long as you have "rubber gloves" you to are a "professional." This maybe how they were trained 10 years ago, however, there is new technology, such a pore vacuum and charcoal mask. I have been to this spa several times for massages/tanning and have never had a problem. Yet, when I called to talk to the OWNER, I was greeted with such hospitality and told, "you are the first person to have ever called me to complain." She did not listen to what I had to say, she had already made up her mind as to not offer a refund or a credit. I was told she would talk to the tech (who was young, but nice, no problems with her at all) and get back to me. A week later I had not received a called. When I called to inquire and was told she sent an email. She didn't even have the respect to call and talk to me. I was a BOTHER to her and she 100% let it be known to me. In the past, when it was under different ownership, I have even recommended this spa. I WILL NOT EVER be doing busy with this company again and will not be recommending it to anyone since this is the was the owner treats her customers. read more

WOW, WHAT A PLACE! My friend and I have been to this wonderful place 4 times and we are planning to going back. We will run not walk to this multi-service wellness spa. We dragged our butts in there, tired and worn from a long weary work week. The spa greeted us with a gorgeous and well-planned interior. But, the best was yet to come. We were massaged by two really great massage therapists, i.e., Kim and Emily. We also had other services, i.e., a reflexology treatment and a sweat box treatment. It was all good with plenty of warm and wonderful hospitality. We were served tea and water before and after our appointments and the prices were great. Thanks to the staff for a wonderful afternoon. read more

This spa was recommended for hair removal. I had an average experience. Nothing great and nothing bad. The esthetician was too fast, and did not have attention to detail. The under arm wax was added on and too expensive for the 2 minutes it took. I would recommend a spa experience that includes pampering, a beverage and less like cattle being run through. read more

I went there for my first massage and keep going back! The staff is great, very knowledgeable and they have a very comfortable atmosphere! Had an awesome massage package there this week! I'll definitely be going back.

After trying to book at our resort's spa and receiving terrible service and being made to feel like an inconvenience I took to Yelp and found glowing recommendations about the Healing Touch. The great reviews were true! Making an appointment was a breeze and a reminder text the day of even better. Checkin went very smoothly and the therapist was very personable. I will definitely visit again next year and avoid the resort:-) read more
