The staff was really friendly, and I definitely felt welcomed. I had a signature massage performed by DD (Dierdre). She took her time ahead of the session to address any questions I had about the service and my expectations. She listened regarding my recent surgery and adjusted the service accordingly. She was very skilled and attentive during the session. I walked in carrying the weight of some life worries throughout my body and felt brand new when she was finished. Emailed Spa about treatment I am interested and my availability. Spa replied they are booked until May 3rd. That's fine. Good for them! Business must be booming! But they did not offer any other date for an appointment. So I email them back, asking which day after May 3rd would they be available. They replied the last availablity is in the afternoon of May 3rd. No other days. At this point I feel insulted and unwelcome. I called them and make sure they are aware of my feelings. So they email me some laconic explanation about trying to work with the therapists schedules. I relpied that their explanation was insufficient. Finally, they reply with specific dates and times for a treatment. Too little too late. read more

Came here for the first time while on vacation. Decided on this place based on the few Yelp reviews and this place's website. This also costs less than the closest spa to Massanutten, so that helped. Had the customized couples massage with my husband, which I highly recommend. The signature couples massage requires the masseuses to massage each person in tandem, which is ok but not if there are individual body issues. What's hot - Customized towards your body issues. For example, my masseuse focused more on my neck and shoulders, which are my problem areas. My husband's issues were his right knee and shoulders. (Hey, not every couple is perfect!). My masseuse also put a warm towel under my neck when she had me flip on my back. That heat definitely helped loosen my muscles. She also massaged my scalp a little, which helped and felt nice. - Communicative. A good masseuse checks in with you about pressure, location, comfort, etc... These masseuses checked in with us. - Nice ambiance. Clean (very important!) and comfortable. - They didn't skimp on our hour. - You can tip via credit card. What's not - The price is still a little high, but less expensive compared to many of the other local spas. It cost $165 for the hour. You can't have everything and I'll admit I'm spoiled. I'm used to massages in Los Angeles for $15 an hour. For those of you are not familiar: Any good spa requires you to fill out information about your body issues and health history. So if it's your first time, I recommend arriving a few minutes early. Be honest about your body issues. That's the only way the masseuse can cater to your needs. Wear comfortable clothing and don't be self-conscious. Final answer Definitely worth it and if I'm back in the area, I plan on coming back. read more

I didn't know Harrisonburg even had this spot, otherwise I would've been coming here the last four years. The staff are incredibly friendly and the wax was easy, not painful, and took 10 minutes. They have full price waxes (discounts on Tuesdays), and then a touch-up wax three weeks later for half the price (I mean, it can't get much better than that). I don't write reviews and had a great experience the first time I got a wax here about a year ago. But the woman that previously did mine left and the new one was very unprofessional completing my Brazilian. She did not clean the area beforehand, or wear gloves. She was very politely during the wax so it does not have to do with her character. At one point she got wax on my labia, attempted to move my labia with her bare hand, to which she couldn't and just pulled the wax off. She took the top layer of skin off, creating a very sensitive open area on the flesh of my labia. After the wax was done I was extremely red and covered in bumps, I later found out this was because all of the hairs were just broken and not actually removed. The hair grew back within a week, and I had very painful in-growns when this was not how my skin reacted to any previous waxes I'd gotten done. I called the next day and the owner required I come in for her to examine the area. I felt extremely belittled and was told it was not policy to clean the area or wear gloves, so then I developed concerns about what if my waxer had done a Brazilian on the woman before me and was spreading germs between clients as she did not wash her hands in the room and felt she could touch my labia. The owner said I could have a refund. That was on March 12th and I have had to call multiple times to discuss where my refund is. Today on the phone the staff member proceeded to argue with me about what card I used and said she'd issued a refund. She refunded it to the wrong card that I'm not even sure who's it is. I was told I have to come in person to pick up the refund to which I asked why was that not offered to me before. She began to tell me that they don't offer refunds but did since I 'demanded it." I corrected her by saying the owner offered me one after seeing the scabbed part of my labia, to which she told me the owner did not see this. I was belittled again and just wanted my refund. I do not recommend this place, customers are at risk for developing infections from lack of sanitation. They showed little remorse and apology for the giant red bumps I had all over my bikini line at the beach the next few days. read more

I loved going here for Brazilian waxing. I requested an eyelash extension and was adamant I suffered from severe latex allergies. The owner assured me they had glue with no latex. I went in & 24 hours later almost needed to go to the emergency room. They took me in to remove the lashes and were unapologetic. I tried to believe in her & rebook services I was used to and she has blocked me as a client. I assure you I believe in small business owners but I would never suggest anyone to use this spa for services especially when an owner doesn't own up to mistakes. read more

Went in for a chin waxing appointment. The appointment was done in probably a minute and a half. The esthetician told me I was good to go without really checking to see if the wax was thorough. Normally they will double check and tweeze any hairs that didn't get taken out. When I got home I noticed a lot of hair that had been missed and left behind. It's hard for me to notice hair left behind because your own chin/neck area is obviously hard to see in a mirror. read more

I have been in love with this place since they opened. They are an amazing grew and I try to stop by anytime I'm in town. They whole staff is very professional and they keep you relaxed from the first moment you step inside. I had my appointment with Ashely and she's amazing. She's really knowledgeable and keeps my eyebrows on point. Truth be told, she's gone only one I actually trust with my eyebrows. I surprised my parents with their first massages and they were extremely pleased. Both massuse were able to work on them and they were both relaxed when they left the building. Save your money! I took my teenage son who did not have facial problems only blackheads which he wanted removed. Put on your own rubber gloves, use your FINGERS to SQUEEZE out blackheads in the conveyance of your own bathroom. But $75, plus 20% tip in your wallet and call it a day. Because as long as you have "rubber gloves" you to are a "professional." This maybe how they were trained 10 years ago, however, there is new technology, such a pore vacuum and charcoal mask. I have been to this spa several times for massages/tanning and have never had a problem. Yet, when I called to talk to the OWNER, I was greeted with such hospitality and told, "you are the first person to have ever called me to complain." She did not listen to what I had to say, she had already made up her mind as to not offer a refund or a credit. I was told she would talk to the tech (who was young, but nice, no problems with her at all) and get back to me. A week later I had not received a called. When I called to inquire and was told she sent an email. She didn't even have the respect to call and talk to me. I was a BOTHER to her and she 100% let it be known to me. In the past, when it was under different ownership, I have even recommended this spa. WOW, WHAT A PLACE! My friend and I have been to this wonderful place 4 times and we are planning to going back. We will run not walk to this multi-service wellness spa. We dragged our butts in there, tired and worn from a long weary work week. The spa greeted us with a gorgeous and well-planned interior. But, the best was yet to come. We were massaged by two really great massage therapists, i.e., Kim and Emily. We also had other services, i.e., a reflexology treatment and a sweat box treatment. It was all good with plenty of warm and wonderful hospitality. We were served tea and water before and after our appointments and the prices were great. This spa was recommended for hair removal. I had an average experience. Nothing great and nothing bad. The esthetician was too fast, and did not have attention to detail. The under arm wax was added on and too expensive for the 2 minutes it took. I would recommend a spa experience that includes pampering, a beverage and less like cattle being run through. read more
