I cannot adequately express my appreciation for the Physical Therapy crew at Loudoun PT in Leesburg. While I might be on the younger side (34, runner) I was struggling with long term sciatic symptoms as well as lower back and hamstring pain. When my injury self-management was no longer working I was referred to Loudoun PT. I can genuinely say the people that I worked with cared about me as both a patient and person. Matt Smith and Chelsea Lucas listened to my concerns and created an exercise progression that helped me improve. I went from being borderline unable to work because of back pain, to running twice a week in the space of twelve weeks. It's incredible what compassionate and knowledgable physical therapists and a committed patient can accomplish when they work together. While my full recovery will necessitate more independent work, I feel like Matt and Chelsea have set me up to meet my health and lifestyle goals with a home program. I do believe that PT can work for most people if they are willing to commit to it. It is a far better option than surgery or simply accepting chronic pain. I know that the good people at Loudoun PT will be there for me if I experience any major setbacks. Getting to see their staff work with other patients was often very heartwarming. I picked this location it was nearby, had good ratings, and because they offered water therapy. The physical therapists I worked with here, Shruti and Shi, were intelligent, friendly, knowledgeable, and always on time. The water therapist, Ally, was also great. I highly recommend water therapy at Ida Lee, that was a great change of pace. The therapist assistant, Phil, was also wonderful. I felt they all listened to the description of my knee injury/pain and worked hard to help increase my mobility. Jenny at the front desk was friendly, accommodating and efficient. My only negative at the Leesburg location was Hadeel, at the front desk. She was rude and would not listen to me or check with her manager when I did encounter a problem during discharge. Luckily my physical therapist was able to rectify the situation easily, I should have just discussed it with her initially. Lesson learned. I would definitely return if/when PT is needed in the future. I would just remember to only deal with Jenny at the front desk. read more

Absolute trash policies and physical therapy. The reason I am really writing this today is because of their inflexible cancellation policy. I called at 3 pm today to cancel and appointment for 6:30 pm tomorrow and they told me I had to have called before noon to not get charged a $75 fee. I told them I have a job and I am cancelling because my daughter has been hospitalized today after noon and that I needed to cancel and their response was oh well. It isn't.much of a loss to me since their physical therapy is subpar. That overall I would give three stars. They barely touch you or try to work out the areas that hurt. I spend 50% of my time doing stretches that I regularly do at home. If you have a life of think you may ever need to cancel more than 28 hours in advance due to an emergency don't use them. I knew this would be a problem since the first time I signed up and the first thing they did was ask me for credit card information before I even made my appointment. read more

Having sustained a shoulder injury, over the course of the next few months the team was able to help alleviate my pain and help me regain strength in the effected area. The clinical team here at Loudoun Physical Therapy is top notch. My physical therapist, Alastair exemplifies compassion and extraordinary customer service. You really get the sense that she truly cares for her patients and thoroughly enjoys her work. Alastair made coming to PT so much easier and she was an integral part of my healing process. I can't thank her enough. My technician Devin was also a major influence on my healing journey. Devin's great personality and sense of humor always kept things positive and light, even when my shoulder was in pain. Furthermore, he went to great lengths to ensure that I was utilizing the proper techniques with my exercises to ensure that I regained strength, but also to ensure that I caused no further injury to the area. Devin is an amazing teacher as you can see, he has so much passion for physical therapy. I am appreciative of all his efforts. Lastly, Dr. Shruti was instrumental in guiding my rehabilitation plan. I can't thank her enough for her time and energy to help me, as well as answer all of my questions. She put in a lot of time to create a plan for me post-PT visits and I truly appreciate her. Unfortunately, I needed physical therapy a lot this year. Fortunately, I found Loudoun Physical Therapy. On my first visit I informed my Therapist that my injury actually occurred more than a year ago and my Orthopedic sent me to Physical Therapy a year ago. After my first visit (to a different practice) I was in significant pain. I decided that resting my shoulder was a better idea than PT. Well a year of resting didn't work so I went back to the Orthopedic who in turn sent me back to PT. That is where Loudoun Physical Therapy came in to the picture. My Therapist Mary never caused any pain and I quicky progressed under her care. I have also seen a few other Therapists there and have never had a bad experience. I broke a bone in my foot which took way too long to heal and the whole area was in terrible shape from overcompensating. I saw several PTs at the beginning before I found Mary. The first was horrible, rude and condescending and just not helpful at all. The others were nice but frankly too gentle and too slow- I could do what they did at home. I tried hydrotherapy too which was fine- not very intense but nice, relaxing, and helpful at the start. Honestly, the rest of the practice is 3 stars at best. Then I found Mary. Holy moly, she is amazing- 5 stars for her alone. I had noticeable improvement every single time I saw her, she pushed me to my limits, with massages that were painful but needed. We did lots of helpful exercises, though they probably could have been more intense too. She single handedly got me pretty much back to normal, which I didn't think would be possible. read more

Their cancellation policies are absurd and extremely inflexible. I have been going there consistently for the last 3 months, at first it was 3 times a week and now 2 times a week. I called today (Friday) at 3:30pm to cancel an appointment for Monday morning and they charged me $75 because I should have cancelled before noon, really?? I find that really abusive and I said so to the person on the phone. I am almost done with my therapy but if I need PT in the future I will look for another place where I am treated with a bit more deference. I understand there need to have policies so people wont take advantage but there is also a client relationship that should be valued and respected. Very disappointing. read more

This is an awful clinic. And this is an understatement. Where to begin the understaffing ? The unfair work life balance that they treat their employees ? The ridiculous amount of patients on someone schedule ? The terrible benefits ? Im an outsider looking in and have seen patients treated horrible and the staff treated worse. You can go in 365 days of the year and Im sure you wont ever see Genny or Michael in the clinic. I can continue to go on about how horrible it is but I think you get the gist of it. And let me clarify, THE STAFF ARE GREAT, the staff is the ones who makes it any reason to might consider to goto this clinic and all the awards this clinic has gotten is because of the staff, BUT THE OWNERSHIP IS HORRENDOUS. Genny and Michael should not be the owners and it will be beneficial for them to sell immediately and get new ownership so this clinic can be good. read more

I tried to make an appointment, Medicare had made a mistake in my account which would take 10 days to correct. They refused to see me, even though I offered to pay the Medicate rate. Clearly relief of suffering is not their top priority. read more

For the lower back pain I rotated between Allie in the downtown Leesburg location and Purvi at the Lansdowne location. Both gave outstanding, caring service with great manual manipulation and I met with whomever fit with my work schedule. Once I had my daughter, the back pain shifted to my middle and upper back and was accompanied by diastasis recti. For the post-natal maternal care I saw Shai in the downtown Leesburg location. She also gave outstanding caring service with great manual manipulation. I'm so happy to have found these ladies! I appreciate all the Covid precautions the practice put in place. read more

Though not a patient, I accompany my wife often for her treatment. First- the young ladies running front are darling. You can tell the patients really love them as they always take a genuine interest in their patient's lives. Second- movies they show are awesome. Waiting stinks. National Lampoons Xmas Vacation and Elf for the last two visits. Finally- my wife is very pleased with her care. As a doting husband, it kills me to see her in pain. These pros do a great job with her care. They even brought me back to show me some ways I can help her at home find relief. Great job! read more

SENIORS BEWARE!!! Aggressive cancellation policy.... we were threatened multiple times with cancellation fees. Brought my 87 year old VERY disabled mother in for her appointment a little early (45 minutes early). No one else was in the waiting area... there were plenty of open seats.. we were told by the manager that we had to leave and come back in 30 minutes! I cancelled the appointment right then and there and was again threatened with a $75 dollar cancellation fee if we didn't come back in 30 minutes. NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

Its not a company that is flexible with working adults. Even if you miss the cut off by less than one hour to cancel an appt the next day because something has come up for work, they automatically charge you a no show penalty - which is more than my deductable. That seems excessive for a place that is constantly packed. Extremely disappointed in the less than customer friendly environment. We should be able to start charging them if they need to reschedule or we spend more time getting passed off to some "assistant" instead of working with an actual licensed therapist for the entire session. I do not recommend Loudoun Physical Therapy at Lansdowne or Leesburg. I was recommended to continue my care for temporary facial paralysis through physical therapy that specializes in paralysis. I specially asked this location and Lansdowne for their experience and both locations assured me they had experienced therapists knowledgeable in therapy for facial paralysis. I was also told I would see the same therapist yet each session was a different person. I was seen on 3 occasions all within two weeks and was very disappointed with my care. First, the therapist kept referencing my diagnosis incorrectly as TMJ when my diagnosis was Bells Palsy. All facial exercises could be found online, in fact, a therapist provided a print out of online exercises that I can across on my own prior to coming to LPT. Each session was repetitive and nothing more informative than doing a basic online search. I discontinued after 3 sessions as 1) my facial paralysis was temporary and 2) LPT appeared to lack knowledge in therapy for facial paralysis despite assuring me they were experienced in this field. In regards to billing, despite paying my insurance co-pay each visit, I received a bill almost 6 months later for additional monies. My experience with LPT was nothing but disappointing. read more

Loudoun Physical Therapy (LPT)  has serious billing problems and they do not care to take responsibility for their errors.   In 2019, I had 12 sessions at LPT and was told by them that my co-pay would be $35 each session. After my 12th session, LPT  told me that I owed $70 for each session. I contacted my insurance company, they contacted Billing at LPT, and LPT admitted they interpreted my benefit coverage incorrectly. I felt that LPT was responsible for this billing error and told them I would never have gone for 12 sessions if I had known they were $70. In fact, LPT kept encouraging me to continue additional therapy and filed paperwork to get extended sessions approved.  I then tried to negotiate a reduced amount that I owed LPT since this was totally their error. Their response was that I am 100% responsible for the bill and they would send this to a collection agency and report it on my credit report if not paid. I did work out a payment plan and now am getting bills insisting that I pay the total amount immediately, I would never use this PT group in the future. read more

I received a call from their office manager. She was very polite, patient, and eager to resolve the matter. She admitted a few improvement points and I came to better understand their billing processes. We both agreed that this issue would have been avoided. In addition, she offered a very generous refund and promised better services if I choose to go back. It was an excellent customer service. read more
