The Phoenix in Every Human Being offers a space where I feel safe to share openly without judgment. My therapist uses EMDR and CBT, which have made a huge difference in helping me process past trauma and move forward in my life. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a therapist who genuinely cares.

When I got the "diagnosis" I was devastated. It was so wrong and off-base. One of my diagnoses was bulimia. Ummm...I am 5'5" and over 200 pounds. Same weight I've been for 5 years now. That floored me. Reading through the Impression, it was clear that a 2-hour interview, many multiple-choice applying to kids that don't really have a multiple choice answer to fit my situation, plus the therapists observation...it's more like she had a preconceived notion of what my issue was and just watched me to try and apply it. So off. For someone with severe depression and God forbid, suicidal ideation or for a job or something more serious, this could have been even more devastating! I did it for me, so at least I didn't have damage control in that aspect. Luckily, I have a therapist now and understanding people who helped me see that I already knew the truth. The fact that she said I had bulimia helped seal the deal that she had no clue what she was doing. Waste of time, money, and stress.
