My son Matthew attends and honestly it's the best thing that ever happened to him the structure at the school is wonderful the leadership team starting from the franchise owners is fantastic I can truly tell you that I've never seen a private preschool where the owners take so much interest in each individual child and really want to form a family relationship. In my opinion most families don't realize the importance of preschool in building a foundation for furthering your child's education but if you're looking for a school that will provide structure education play through learning as well as personal growth and discipline for your child you found the right place. I couldn't say anything other then enroll now! Within the first 10 days of the school year my just three-year-old learned the pledge allegiance of allegiance. I'm glad we made the best decision for our kids first 5 years of age! The school is always clean, and the a/c is running cold (I've been to school that smells musty and humid). Front end staffs are always greeting you with warm and friendly smiles, and in my surprise this is the first school that the staffs / owner open the door for you in the morning and closing during peak time pick up and drop off. I appreciate how Sharon the owner are very involved with the school, and how she cares for the kids. The money you paid, are in return back to your kids. I have never spend money on bringing in tissues or sipping cups for my child... oh did I mentioned, 3 of My kids are enrolled here! From toddler to private kindergarten, all the teachers are great! Since i have experienced with my infant teacher Ms Joyce, Michelle, and Sarah. My son preschool teacher Ms Phyllis and funny Ms Z are incredibly patient. Private kindergarten Ms Renfro strict yet I love her! The curriculum are outstanding and my kids have learned so much at expressing their thoughts and feelings... well maybe a bit too much :) I couldn't be any happier! Clean school nice building ,but I had very bad experience the director Tania is rude, only if the owner around she will be very friendly .Bad Management they don't keep teacher for more than two weeks so I tried them for few months,but I gave up my child couldn't take it because of there treatment ,seeing new teacher or substitute every other day I got only one paper from my child folder. Walsh it was good because it's very convenient for us close to to the highway and our home .4 kids left from same class and she didn't bother herself to ask why but I think because she know why . read more

This is truly a remarkable school. I am so blessed to have my granddaughter enrolled here. Sharon and Rawlings (Owners) and the front of house staff are all amazing caring people and are always around and available. They go above and beyond for each and every person. They know all the kids and are very involved with the kids. The teachers are all amazing and caring, they speak to the kids on their level and the kids truly loves all the teachers. They have so many fun things planned for the kids. My granddaughter especially loves couch Superman and music with Mr David. The school is always clean and fresh. Absolutely THE BEST daycare I've seen and had the pleasure of enrolling my son in. I'm highly impressed with their outstanding curriculum, their amazingly kind & warm staff and the cleaniless of the school. They provide healthy meals & snacks (whole grain pasta, fruits, veggies, and baked goods made from scratch!, just to name a few). My son has been attending for three months now, and he went from being a little afraid at first to absolutely loving it! Every weekday morning, he looks forward to spending the day with his teacher and the new friendships he's made. He's learned so much, and we're amazed by how his vocabulary has grown! After a move across the country this was the only daycare that had room for my baby girl. Best decision I have ever made. Never have seen a daycare/school that cares so much. Every staff member is amazing. The owners know every parent and every child by name. I don't know how she does it. :) The school itself is very clean and always smells wonderful. We were at primrose firewheel for 2 weeks and then decided to pull our child out. The school is well laid out, good facilities and Tania is really great. But that is where it all stops. The teachers are barely qualified, most of them have never taught anywhere and do not really have the skills to handle children. We relocated to Dallas for work and our child who has gone to daycare his entire life struggled with the teachers. We also saw the teachers physically handle 2 kids, one during the tour and another time when we went to pick our child up from class. That behavior was completely unacceptable. We learned that the teacher told our child his parents would not pick him up if he cried. The teacher also confirmed they said it and thought it to be acceptable!! How can you say that to a child? Our child now believes we would abandon them. Additionally, an external teacher who comes there also told us that she witnessed teachers in the classroom being harsh with our child during his transition to the new school and she tried to help him. We tried to speak to the owners but they are never around. They also do not take any time to meet new families despite what they might say. Bad experience, beware of what comes across to you because the culture of the school is different and the teachers are really not fit to manage your children in the way you expect them. We are much happier since we switched schools and our son comes back home much happier! read more

Don't get me wrong, the curriculum is fantastic and most of the teachers are lovely. However, if your child has asthma or any other sort of special need, tread carefully. Assorted members of the office staff at Primrose Firewheel have on five separate occasions neglected to give my son his asthma medication as directed. They seem to think that apologizing for the oversight is good enough, but nothing changes and the problem is ongoing. Meanwhile, my son coughs until he throws up having missed a dose of his medicine. When I last spoke to the owner, Dr. Pratiksha Rigley, about this continual problem, she was defensive and dismissive and outright rude to me. She made a lot of excuses and told me my expectations were unreasonable because they usually only adminster medication at noon. Apparently I do not pay her enough to even pretend to care about my child's well being. I have a younger son in the infant classrooom, too. And I have observed babies getting the wrong bottles (breastfed babies ending up with formula, etc.) on multiple occasions. Primrose is not a bad place, and if I had been asked 2 years ago I'd have given a glowing review, but they have let my family down too many times and we are looking for alternative arragnements. Also, please realize that when you read a positive review of Primrose, they writer has likely received $50 off their tuition as compensation. read more

It has been 6 years since my son passed away due to SIDS. He was only two (2) months. His name was baby Greg. It was so hard for me and my family to get over such a heartbreak and it is still super hard. So when I found out I was pregnant with my baby boy, Grayson, I was extremely overwhelmed with emotions. While enjoying a beautiful pregnancy, I was able to stay at home for approximately 6 months with Grayson. Moreover,when the six months concluded, it was time for mommy to get back to work. My husband and I went shopping for local daycares. We made appointments to visit 4 daycares. The very first appointment we went to was Primrose Firewheel. We entered the facility to a beautiful foyer and smiling faces. I loved the fact that the doors are locked (AT ALL TIMES) and you need a code to get into the facility. We met the director, Tania, who was so sweet and fashionable. She introduced us to the owner, Mrs. Sharon, who already knew our names. Ms. Tania and Mrs. Sharon took us on a tour of the facility and it was so clean and organized. I love the clear windows on the door so that you are able to peep in on the children if you ever wanted to pop in. The first class we visited was the class that Grayson would start in, the Infant classroom. His teacher was Ms. Bebe. She was the 'icing on the cake'. Ms. Bebe is so knowledgeable. She picked up Grayson and I was overly amazed at how he was so willing to give her kisses, hugs, and slobbery smiles. She told us everything that he will be learning, his schedule, and I even saw other kids playing and learning sign language. My husband and I were blown away. We also have a daughter that we needed to have attend for after school care. My daughter's school was not on the original bus route. However, Ms. Tania and the bus driver made it possible so that they were able to pick my daughter Alyssa up from school. My husband and I were pleased that the staff were able to assure us that our daughter can be a part of the Primrose family. After the tour, we went back to Mrs. Sharon office. My husband immediately pulled out his credit card and asked how much to put down to secure his spot. We never made it to the other 3 daycares. The rest is history: Grayson is now 19 months and he is the king of the castle. He loves school and is so advanced that he knows how to express himself. He also knows how to communicate with us using sign language and talking. He loves to read books and listen to us read to him, color play with bubbles, and the list goes on. Alyssa is in love with her bus driver and her after school teacher and friends. She always talks so highly of the relationship that she has with her teacher, Ms. Deanna. She loves when Mr. David comes with the puppets and sing songs. Sometimes, she gets to see her brother and his class enjoying Mr. Davis show. Alyssa is so excited to start the Summer Adventure Club. She enjoys all the field trips and activities that Primrose provides throughout the summer. Oh yea, I have to mention Chef Jan. She is so amazing! I have my kids on a certain diet and she works with me to make sure my kids are eating according to their diet. This speaks volumes of the love and one on one attention this school gives the kids. I can go on and on! But, I had it on my heart to write this NOVEL (lol) just to say thank you for making my family feel secure in trusting you to watch and teach our babies. We will be forever grateful. Thank you for making it easy for me as a parent, who lost a child, to leave and trust you with our precious treasures. Thank you Primrose Firewheel! You all are AWESOME! As they say, you get what you pay for. Primrose is definitely not the cheapest daycare around. There are much cheaper schools but the level of education that your child will experience is far beyond what other schools have to offer. Our boys have been at the school for 1.5 years and we are so impressed with the curriculum. They also potty trained the boys and provide them with a very nutritious meal plan. The teachers are energetic, caring and basically outstanding! We love the director and office staff too - especially Ms. Donna! This is such an awesome school - we highly recommend this school/daycare. For peace of mind, pay the extra money and give your child a great start in life. read more

Primrose is by far your best option. Not only do they provide an excellent education, menu plan, overall sense of family and truly want to do what's right by the kids, but they take care of their teachers and staff. Happy teachers = happy kids. Our family was at Primrose, left, and came back less than a month later. No contest. You will pay more in tuition, but that's so they can pay for the good teachers and not just warm bodies. It is worth every penny in my opinion. Call Primrose. You won't be disappointed. read more

My husband and I enrolled our son at Primrose when he turned 2. And we have seen him flourish ever since. Primrose offers a fantastic curriculum and various events that keep the little ones constantly learning and engaged. In addition, to the wonderful education our son is receiving we feel that Primrose also offers events that help enrich the children in other ways as well (collecting books, pet food, etc for charity). There are also many extracurricular activities offered through Primrose that enables us as busy parents to provide these opportunities for our son all right there at school. I began my search for a school for my 2 1/2 year old daughter in August 2010. I toured Primrose Firewheel, other Garland facilities as well as some closer to my office. I met twice with the staff at Primrose Firewheel and had not even officially "met" my daughter. Our international adoption was pending and I had only known her through pictures for the last 21 months with a few other family comments. I didn't know her personality, likes or temperament so it was difficult to know the right questions without knowing what the answers would be. After meeting with Raquel and Dr. Rigley, I knew Primrose was the place I wanted for my daughter. I could tell they loved the children and were open to being flexible to work with me and my daughter during her adjustment period. I visited several of the classrooms during my interviews. And when I was able to bring my daughter home in late September 2010, I brought her up to meet the teachers and staff. We have three test visits and they all went great and gave us both an opportunity to get used to the idea of school. We have been so happy and she has learned so much at school. She is so happy when I drop her off too which is a huge relief for Mom! Since my daughter knew no English, the sign language was so helpful for her. She was able to communicate with us and not get so frustrated trying to get us to understand her. The staff has also done tremendous work with the potty training on such a quick time frame. I love all the extra things that the school provides as well. We have all enjoyed the book fairs, the Thanksgiving Feast, the Mommy/Daddy dance and Open House events. We have only been part of the Primrose family for 4 months but have already felt so welcome. I look forward to my daughter continuing to learn and grow at the school. read more

Our twin boys are about to turn three and have been with Primrose at Deerfield since they have been infants. I couldn't imagine placing them anywhere else - it's more than a school, it's a second family. The boys love the teachers and administrative staff (and so do we). It was very important to us that we felt comfortable and confident in where we left our kids during the day, not only from a safety standpoint but also from an educational curriculum one as well. For us, Primrose hits all marks. It amazes me to hear my almost 3 year olds putting together words into sentences and fully understanding context. I also think it's great that Primrose is taking care of their bodies with balanced nutrition, ensuring they're eating the right kinds of food. My 4 year old son has been with Primrose School of Firewheel for almost two years and we love the positive, safe, and clean environment PSF has for their students! Not only does he learn so much with their curriculum, but the teachers have a way of making it fun and relatable to their age. He loves it so much (and so do we), that we enrolled my 2 year old daughter last year! We are fortunate that we do not need any form of daycare for our children, but once we toured the campus we knew this was a place that they could learn, have fun, and socialize with other children. I can't even count the number of times they surprise me with things they learn from school--whether it be sign language, Spanish, math, or learning songs . It always puts a smile on my face when, for example, my daughter walks off saying "Adios!" or my son puts his fingers together to show me that 3+3=6. I first enrolled my daughters in Primrose Firewheel in June 2009 and have been completely thrilled with our experiences, from preschool through the summer program for my now-school aged daughter. We came to Primrose from another daycare that we were satisfied with (it closed). We had NO idea what we were missing. Primrose Firewheel has the most caring, professional teachers and administrators that I can imagine. The school is clean, organized and the atmosphere is calm and nurturing - not something easily found in a childcare setting! My daughters have both flourished during their time at Primrose. My eldest is now in the gifted and talented program in her public school and I share some of that credit with Primrose - and she can't wait to spend her summer at Primrose's summer camp! My first daughter started in 2009 just months after this Primrose opened. She was 9 mo old. Now my newest daughter is there. She has been at Primrose since my going back to work when she was 3 mo old. Her teacher started just a month after my first daughter started at primrose. I can't say enough about the Owners Pratiksha and Noel Rigley. They go above and beyond. The staff is first rate from the directors to Jan the cook. My daughters love Primrose. My husband and I love Primrose. One of my new favorite features is their Tadpole app. They can send pics and videos during the day of your child. Always a pleasant surprise to get a picture of my little one having fun with her friends. They also spotlight a family and a staff member each month. This months family was an alternative lifestyle family- to me that is beyond fabulous. They celebrate all families. This is so important. read more
