This was our first rental property, lived here for 8 year. as a result we will never rent again!!!!! We only had one good property manager (Victoria) who was employed with a different property management company. The harbor property management is a disgrace!!!!!!!! They came in making a lot promising for necessary improvements to bring the property back up to it's initial standards after Kayla (former property manager) she was THE WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They have done the polar opposite! They raised our rent significantly, the property maintenance is sad to see. Everything that made it beautiful is gone (flowers, waterfall at entrance, broken fixture, unpaved parking lot, clubhouse and apartment maintenance, they removed "luxury apartment community from their sign). When your lease end they will default your payment to month to month rate if you don't give 60 days notice! The current property manager (Phaedra) and book keeper are useless, unprofessional, and combative! We have been reporting a mold issue for years. We have been told that we should clean the wall with bleach and water. I explained that as per their contract they are required to treat mold. I am told that a contractor will address it but no one has came and out of desperation I used the bleach solution to avoid health issues as I have asthma. If you are looking for a luxury property community this is NOT IT, it use to be ok but now it is HORRIBLE! read more

I would love to know how these people seriously run their business " regular business hours" don't count as actual regular business hours because the hours they have on their website vs when you call their office, surprise surprise no one is there to answer you. -Our downstairs window been broke for week [two] now* with blood all over and not one person has bothered to fix it. ****The noise complaints are for another time!!!! A whole different story!!! No one has respect for their neighbors what so ever. Blasting music from 3:00am until 5am and even when the music stops, the humans themselves don't. It's like a family of horses living upstairs. Constantly galloping. really I am surprised at how they run their business especially it being a decent sized apartment complex, but not really so surprised because this complex is SHIT!!!! So it goes without saying . For any apartment complex someone should be on call during your "regular business hours" 9am-6pm. I had the pleasure of visiting and getting a tour with Laurean. from beginning to end, she was very kind, upbeat and welcoming. She did a wonderful job explaining all of the details of the application process, features and amenities of the property in. She was very friendly and professional. She made me feel that the safety and concerns of the tenants what is a priority. Stay Away!!! The Lincoln Management company has taken over the facility and is doing a HORRIBLE job in maintaining a clean and safe community area. The pool area is dirty and unsafe. They do not respond to requests to address the problem. You will be wasting your money, they charge an additional recreation fee. If you have a car, DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! This USED to be a great place to live and raise a family. Although the price is nearly what you would pay for a mortgage, they have good amenities. The old manager, Victoria was GREAT...new management does NOT value residents...you can even see in the posts that they ONLY respond to those people who have positive comments about the property. With the new management, my lease can't expire quick enough! I have parked my vehicle here for MONTHS after their new "Sticker Policy" and never had an issue. Even if your rent AND parking fees are paid, you can literally come out to find yourself with your car TOWED...precisely what happened the other day in the COLD...two children, the need to go to school, my need to go to work and NO CAR. The company they are using for towing is CROOKED because they are towing late model cars where they take the stickers off by jimmying the locks, tow your car and then you have to come up with $340 CASH to get your vehicle back. This is not an isolated situation and it has been happening to MULTIPLE residents over the last few weeks. The management company does NOTHING about it, NOTHING. When asked if they considered assigned parking, I was told that they cannot do that. Truth is, they don't want to take the time out to do it....most paid parking comes with an ASSIGNED SPACE...not sure why this is such a foreign concept for these folks. I have recommended The Henry in the past, even had friends move here. I will no longer do so!!! If you want good living in Rockland, try the Bradford Mews in Nyack....beautiful community NEVER had ONE parking issue there EVER. read more

I'm a returning resident and let me say that when this was operated by the Avalon, I had a much better experience. It started with day 1 of rodents. It took two months to finally have that under control. The second biggest issue is the foul smelling of cigarette, dog urine and feces that is embedded into the carpets in the bedrooms. The master bedroom and bathroom by far has the worst smelling of it. The second bedroom has the dog urine and cigarette smell that forces my daughter and into have been sleeping with out windows open. Even with the windows open, you can still smell the godforsaken smell. I've asked for the carpets to be exchanged and was advised that they have to deep clean then with a solution that requires 4 hours of ventilation. Needless to say, I have had the carpets cleaned 3 times in 3 months and nothing. My daughter and I suffer from asthma, therefore, adding additional chemicals is not an option. The delinking have not been painted since I probably left in 2012. You can just imagine the amount of cigarette odor stuck on the paint. Now, let's get to the hallways. ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC and UNSANITARY. The carpets in the hallways need to be replaced and hardwood flooring should be installed with a runner. There's animals in the building and having carpets in not conducive. Parking is a nightmare. I am pYing for two spots. 2-3 days a week I am having to park at the clubhouse. I am now forced to seek counseling through my legal team to rectify this in going problem. Terita is absolutely a gem, but unfortunately these in going issues are out of her hand. I've lived here two months and for every day of it this building has been awful. The HORRIFIC SMELL that permeates every inch of this place is unbearable. It's constant. It's disgusting. It's embarrassing to have any one over. For such high rent it is incomprehensible to allow us to live like this. We have complained over and over to no avail. I lived there recently for a year and I couldn't WAIT to leave. I placed a number of complaints about the grounds. Took months for them to even fix the outside lights even after I complained I saw a bear walking through the property. Yes, a real black bear. Neighbors? You can hear everything they do...everything. Nobody picks up after their dog despite there being ample dog waste stations. And the management company doesn't care if your dog is aggressive. There's just no criteria to living at The Henry b/c they just want your money. Maintenance staff are friendly but they don't understand English so your ticket will need to be placed several times until they get it right. The floor plans are all a lie. Only one person at a time can fit in the kitchen. Hardwood floors? Lie, they're laminate floors if you can even call them that and no fireplaces. Since there's little to no insulation, prepare for a high electricity bill. I recommend a corner unit unless you like sharing the garage with 4 other tenants. The only good thing is that it's close to PIP and Mr. Crispy's and Caeser's across the street. read more

This place is the worst! Forget about finding a parking after 4pm if you don't have a garage !!! The grass filthy with dogs feces because no one , but I mean no one clean after his dog! The neighbors doesn't care that is 3am and they come with their car with loud music and wake you up! When I came in and got the keys, No one came with me to do walk through and the apartment was disgusting! Molding all over including the refrigerator... And after the management clean the apartment (because we complain that this is not the way you spouse to get a new apartment!!) we had 3 mice in the kitchen!!! Omg!
