We also got some tea that we enjoyed. Cute shop, helpful service, and naturally healing products, wish we lived closer but glad we can order to ship!

They then proceeded to be welcoming towards a white man who came in shortly after me. Every word out of her mouth was laced with passive aggression. It's honestly embarrassing that these people claim to be healers with such deeply discriminatory and disrespectful demeanors. Herbalism and spirituality is merely an aesthetic for them with none of the values that follow. Spiritual narcissists at best. If you enjoy your tea with an egregious side of pretension and want to walk out of there feeling like crap, this is the place for you. If not, I highly suggest going somewhere else. Don't be fooled by their bandaid responses to other instances like this and the one they will probably write to this one to keep their pockets lined $$$. They don't care, hence why this has occurred on multiple occasions. No amount of sage can cleanse this place. Not typically one to leave reviews, whether good or bad, but this experience was shocking. POC beware.

My decision to start the new year off with acupuncture with Kristen is shaping up to be the best…read moreI've made so far. I loved every single moment of my session -- from the moment I walked in and felt instantly welcomed and cared for, to the actual needling session where she played Brian Eno and had a heating lamp warming my feet (it's the little things!). I really appreciated Kristen's warmth and attentiveness. She has a nurturing spirit that you can feel as soon as you meet her and really takes the time to hear and witness you. We had a lovely, easy conversation throughout our session and when it came time for the needling, I was really pleased with her gentle touch. I've been needled by other practitioners before who were aggressive and intense, so I really appreciated how smooth her technique was. The biggest thing for me, though, was after she stuck the needles in me and left me alone so that they could do their magic -- I felt so comfortable in the space and with how much intention she put into making me feel safe there that I was actually able to relax and enjoy those 30 minutes of rest, which made the session even more affective. Almost immediately my symptoms began to melt away and I started to feel that delicious acupuncture high that you get sometimes when you've hit the right meridians. (I woke up this morning still feeling the affects.) After my session was over, she gave me big hug and asked me how I was getting home (it was dark and gloomy out) which, again -- it's little gestures like that that make me feel valued and cared for as a patient enough to come back. And I will, no doubt. The last thing I'll add: As a black queer woman who has struggled to find healers and practitioners in this city who really make me feel seen as a whole person and like I won't be microaggressed, I was really happy with my experience with Kristen and Nightingale. Based on how I was treated and the energy of the space, I feel they really foster community and advocate for a safe space for their marginalized patients. I'm really really glad I decided to take a chance and go here. My body is thanking me today.
