We were able to take a golf cart to take photos on the golf course which was so fun, the food was incredible, and the deck was a crowd favorite hangout spot at night. Everything was set up when we got there, so decorating could begin immediately and staff was always around to answer questions or help. I highly recommend the Skyroom!

My daughter had her wedding at the Skyroom in Redwing. A month before the wedding, we scheduled a…read morefood tasting with the facility caterer, the only catering option the Skyroom allowed us to have. They would not allow us to hire another caterer. The food selection was minimal, and the quality and presentation were mediocre. The only dish that was excellent was their risotto stuffed peppers. It was prepared well and was delicious. After making a few adjustments to the menu offering, we completed our selection, expecting to get the food we selected and paid for on the wedding day. However, that did not happen. When the food was served at the wedding, the spaghetti was cold, and the risotto stuffed peppers were made with quinoa, not risotto; the dish had zero flavor and was inedible. Additionally, the other meal selection, spaghetti, was served cold, and as I observed the room, many of the guests pushed their plates away after only a few bites of both meals. The third meal we chose was chicken. That was the only meal the guests mentioned they enjoyed. My husband and I were highly disappointed with the catering at the Skyroom and very frustrated at the catering company, which charged us for meals that were misrepresented at the tasting and served cold. We are also disappointed at Skyroom for not offering another catering option or allowing us to hire a caterer with a better food selection, primarily since they did not deliver what was promised. The Skyroom is a beautiful facility for a wedding, but unless they change their caterer or offer another option, I would think twice about having a wedding at this facility.

The best way to get the root or meat and cheese of the matter is to get down on this 16-acre pizza farm yourself. To get there, drive through serpentine country back roads and "a steady cloud of dust that leads back to a field filled with pickup trucks." Park behind the main buildings where rows of tomato, mozzarella, and pepperoni plants grow. Save time by sending some of your crew to scout for a prime picnic spot while you queue up in the ordering line. Expect a long wait, but hay, it's worth it! You'll be happy as a pig in the mud sinking your teeth into a tasty, wood-fired, farm-fresh pizza. We ordered the following (ingredients in pics): PESTO: Basically an apprentice Vampire Slayer. Killer pizza, but not strong enough to destroy Jemaine Clement's Vladislav. HALEY'S COMET: Fungus is not for me. THAI CHICKEN: Popularithai contest winner! It could use extra cilantro as that was overpowered by the sweet chili peanut sauce. VAMPIRE SLAYER (previous visit): Unearthly amounts of garlic will give your inner Buffy raging vampire-slayah superpowers! Hi-yah! But there's more on this farm than meets the sty besides pizza! Hang out by the campfire, enjoy live music, or visit with the resident chickens, cows, pigs and goats. You'll be living high on the hog, enjoying it all on a Suncrest pizza night until the cows come home. Best pizza, barn none.
