I believe our tour guide's name was Eric. He was very knowledgeable about the artwork regarding the messaging and layering as well as about the civil rights movement and social justice issues. The artwork is quite impressive and very meaningful. This was such a great experience and I do recommend others go for a visit. I definitely recommend the docent-led tour option. The art is in a warehouse. So if it's hot and humid outside, you will likely also feel that way inside also. So bring water or wait until the weather has cooled down later in the year.

The gallery consists of 3 rooms (I think) and an outdoor space. AC was struggling to keep up on a hot August night but otherwise it was a comfy spot. It was one of those nights where we also planned on going to Maurepas Foods (a.mazing. btw. add to your list immediately if you haven't already experienced it), which doesn't take reservations, so for the hour wait (worth it) we popped over to his friends exhibit at the Front. Wine was served, they have room for an outdoor exhibit (although it was raining at the time, so we didn't explore that one) and had some really great artists showing that night. I'm still getting into the art world of NOLA, and this place is definitely a great place to view some of New Orleans' amazing own artists.
