Update : so not only was my apartment broken into while living here now today April 11 2023 my car was also broken it to attached are photos sad part is i parked on the 4th floor in the gated section I have been a resident for over a year and have had to deal with break-ins at my unit and my neighbors and cars being keyed and broken into including wheels and tires being stolen. The on-site manager, Britney has been extremely disrespectful, condescending and rude to me and several other tenants. She has no regard for the well-being of any of the tenants. I have had three interactions with her that have been extremely unpleasant the last resulting in me voicing my concerns, to Britany and her threatening me with a me a lease violation. I came in with a concerned that the maintenance portal was not processing my request and that the request I had put in previously were not processed despite showing that they're pending. Every time I have to walk into that office, I feel extremely disrespected by her on the other hand they have one staff member, whose name is Ahmad. He's very polite and easy to work with. I've reached out to corporate. Hopefully they care enough to respond to me. read more

Been here for over 3 years and The Highbank has done a 180 turn under the new manager, Glenda. You can definitely see/feel the difference since she's taken over. Great communication from the leasing office and much better organization/cleanliness in the mailing rooms. All of the amenities are working or being repaired and the gym is better than ever. Fresh paint. Cleaner carpets and elevators. Glad this place is back on the up and up! read more

I lived at this complex for 15 months. I recently moved out a couple of months back. I actually liked living here. The staff was always friendly and I didn't have too many problems. For 20 dollars one time fee your can have a locker that delivers your packages which was super convenient. In the leasing office. There's plenty of places to study. My one problem when I lived in the complex was lack of security. My car amongst other vehicles were broken into. I can't necessarily blame this solely on the complex itself because the exact same thing has been happening in many apartment complexes in Houston. I wouldn't mind moving back to this complex if I had to. I enjoyed my 15 months living there. read more

This property has definitely gone downhill since the new management company took over. I would give zero stars if I could. Customer service is non existent. The office manager Brittany is rude, condescending and passive aggressive. I have complained twice regarding her on both the portal and to corporate. No response. Also the answering service they have is a waste of time because nobody gets back to you. So if you want to live somewhere with unprofessional office staff that argues with you and smokes weed by the pool and also see dog poop in common areas (halls & mail room) the Highbank is for you! Update: This complex sneaks fees in that are "non-optional" whether you use the service or not. There's an automatic charge for pest control abs that service is not performed unless it's requested. When I asked to have this fee removed I was told that pest control is preventative, I could request it whenever I liked and that the fee was non-optional. Please make it make sense!!! Also I pay monthly for a parcel locker but most of the time my packages are on the floor in the mailroom or sometimes packages get delivered to the wrong mailbox.I've even seen a postal bin just sitting on the floor in the mail room. They also charge for insurance while requiring renters insurance. In addition, they charge a community fee!!! Meanwhile, the gym machines barely work & cars are constantly getting broken into or having tires stolen but there's "security." I had a water leak in my apartment last night and when I called the associate stated "Oh I'll see about getting someone there in 30 min." "I'll see" ridiculous! When Maintainence finally came they left a vacuum for the water and told me to use my bath towels to soak up the water that was leaking from the ceiling on my kitchen and over my work desk. Today Maintainence came to get the vacuum and said "Oh we have to wait n see if there's anymore water in the ceiling before we do anything." Not once has anyone from the leasing office even contacted me regarding this. If I could give this place zero stars I would! FYI cars and packages get stolen here on top of the customer service being bottom of the barrel. Very GHETTO would not recommend. read more

Since being bought out by Haven Residential, this place has gotten even worse than it was with previous management. The new property manager Brittany Dixon has embarrassingly poor communication/customer service skills which lead to an overall poor consumer experience. In the last three months since they've taken over, multiple residents have had duplicate/incorrect charges to their account and contacting the leasing team to get these things resolved is useless. No one knows how to do their job or answer questions and their response to mistakes that THEY'VE made is that they will try to get approval to "credit your account" but "credit" doesn't equate to cash back in my pocket that I was incorrectly charged in the first place. They take weeks to respond to emails and that's if they bother responding at all. There is zero accountability here so please do not waste your time leasing here or even communicating with these people because your experience will be awful from start to finish. read more

Had a scheduled tour with this property and no one was available in leasing office. Waited over 15 minutes with other people in lobby. A disheveled and tired looking woman with a scowl on her face rushed into the office clearly unprepared for her day. Not only was she rude, she tried to give excuses as to how she was actually "there at 10". To make matters worse, I overheard Hope tell another person waiting how there was no manager available because "he does not work on the weekend" (Jason??) and how there has been a ton of turnover in management. We opted to leave at this point. Because of this unprofessional behavior and situation, I would never live at this property. I feel sorry for the people who are living here currently, and hopefully the new management makes some positive changes quickly. Don't put people with a nasty personality in a customer facing role, especially when you realize how much negative revenue impact it might have on your business. read more

I've been here since this complex opened and I used to love it but now I cannot wait to go. Things have not been the same since Leslie left. I don't know who they are renting out to but the noise is non stop. Like all day everyday to the point I don't care to be in my apartment if I don't have to. I had three different guests make comments while at my apartment, it was so bad one time that we had to leave. I was erroneously charged fees even though I sent them the required documents FOUR times. Still no follow up or response until this day. All of a sudden, they are doing frequent required inspections. I get inspections are needed in complexes but 3 in the last few months is excessive. Especially during a COVID surge. Again, no email responses to that on why all of a sudden they are entering homes so frequently. And don't be fooled by all 5 stars, there are incentives for those reviews. read more

We attend a pizza party and in return of free pizza we had to leave a five star review. They bribe their tenants to leave good reviews and it's time someone leaves an honest one. The management is so unprofessional, they throw unnecessary fees on your monthly rent and spike your payments with no prior notification, no matter the consistency of on time payments or vacancy. I lived here for a few months with a tenant while trying to get my own apartment in this building before quickly realizing I would never want to live in a apartment so poorly ran. I went with a different apartment building, and I've never been more satisfied with my decision. My mother lived there for 4.5 years. She recently passed away at the age of 97 in her apartment. No one from the management team had the decency or compassion to express their condolences to me. This should indicate the type of people working there. Regarding noise, the apartment directly upstairs was leased to people with small children and a dog about a year before she passed. The noise was unbearable starting early in the morning. The kids were running back and forth dragging toys that sounded like moving furniture. When we complained to the management, they said that the apartment above her was vacant, which was clearly not true. They did absolutely nothing to try to alleviate the problem and worse than that, they lied about the fact that there were tenants in that apartment. ROACHES....This started about a year ago. When we notified the management team, we were told that there would be a charge to have the apartment exterminated even though we were being charged a monthly fee for pest control. We had to take care of it ourselves. As for the deposit, it took almost 3 months to get it returned. Texas law requires that a move out statement and refund be issued no later than 30 days after moving out. They didn't care about that. Only after a demand letter was sent to the CEO of the ownership group, 29th Street Capital, did we receive the deposit. Noise, roaches, having to run down the security deposit and there is much more actually, I would not recommend getting started with these people under any circumstances. read more

I've been living at The Highbank for 6 months and I love it! The staff is awesome and have been since day 1. My visitors have all given me nothing but compliments on the beautiful space I occupy. From the pool to the clubhouse, I love it! The gym is awesome as well with two full size tv screens, clean towels daily, a great variety of machines and it's always very well kept. I've been living here for about 7 months and it's the nicest place I've ever lived. Friends and family who visit are constantly wow'd at how nice this place is! It smells nice in the office area and it's basically like a lounge for us residents. Ceilings are super tall, makes the space feel breezier and bigger. The granite and fixtures are nice. No bugs because of the indoor hallways, they're also cleaned regularly. Staff is sweet and helpful. The location is great, I truly love this place. Only downfall would be the price but in this case, you really get what you pay for, it's a newer place, only 2 years old. Also, a downfall but eh, we are close to a water processing plant which can smell swampy most of the time. For the most part you'll get used to it and the apartment keeps the inside smelling good anyway. I recommend to everyone and a friend just moved in! read more

Absolutely do not move here unless you want your rims and tires stolen, door left open from random maintenance visits for hours, new management every other month, unreturned emails and loud guest who throw parties and let thugs in 24/7. Once a nice place, the Highbank has stooped to a new low after the previous management took over. A drop in prices should have been the first warning, but the caliber of people who are allowed to trash and ruin this place is a reflection of management's lack of enforcing the rules. Not only do you have to smell weed every day, but house parties and even pool parties in 30° is the norm. Doors are left wide open to the point where you don't even need a key fob, entry code and can even drive straight into the garage without any security. The pool in the summer time looks like a ghetto Drais in Vegas with kids unattended, weed smoke and hookah set up because people literally host parties here as if it's The Address. Your window might get busted out on your vehicle just because and ironically there's no cameras working to capture the moment. Dog feces liter the hallway with a dash of fast food remnants from the night before for an extra razzle dazzle. Last but not least, when you express your concerns you're met with passive aggressiveness and no remedies. I am counting down to my last 72 hours here. The new girls in management seem promising but they have a major job cut out for them since the last managers let the property go to the dogs. It's currently 11 pm on a Friday night and a tenant is hosting a party of at least 30 people who are going in and out of the first floor to the pool smoking weed, disturbing our peace all the way on the 5th floor while we are trying to rest. It's a shame that this once 5 star place became a 0 star all because of one bad manager who shall not be named, but you can easily determine who by reading other reviews. I'm going to have to give this place a 5 star! I'm honestly so thankful I found this place especially since I've never been to Houston prior to moving. Dilynn the community manager is amazing and the VERY FIRST understanding manager I have ever encountered in all my years of moving around. Then there is Tania, she helped me actually get a better idea of the apartment and what it offers through the phone and e-mail before I mean had a tour. And when I did tour the place, she showed me around and she is just so sweet and friendly. She was always saying hi to the residents we passed by. There were so many dilemmas prior to moving in on my part but Tania was very patient and Dilynn was very understanding. The place is always clean and I love that! The gate broke once and it got fixed within 24 hours which I'm grateful for since they complete care about the residents safety. Talking about safety, this place is definitely safe, I love that I can walk my dog around without having issues at any time of the day. This is also the most affordable luxury apartment if you are looking for a unit that has a separate bath tub and shower (what I was looking for haha). In the lobby they offer coffee and we have a library/quiet place which I honestly adore. To the down side. The walls are thin but I love that the neighbors are very considerate of one another. I haven't swam in the pool yet since it's winter so I don't know if it's heated or not but it's such a beautiful pool. Also, there's no jacuzzi, but that's okay since all the good definitely trumps the negative. I've been a resident at the Highbank for going on a year in October. I was planning on moving out to get a townhome and gave my notice, but unfortunately it didn't work out. Anyway, I let the manager know that I needed a 2- bedroom apartment. It was short notice and she was very accommodating! I was really worried about having to stay in a less than ideal place, but Paula (manager) made my situation much better! I wholeheartedly recommend the Highbank, the amenities are great. There are no pest issues, and most importantly it's a great location! I love this place. The hallways are always maintained and the service requests are completed quickly. The customer service is impeccable, and the prices are reasonable for this area. I honestly have nothing negative to say about The Highbank. read more

Like many other tenants we moved to The Highbank a few weeks after Harvey flooded our home. The property as a whole and the apartments themselves are quite nice with lovely features and high ceilings. The landscaping is very pretty. There's a locker room that stores your packages for pick up at any time day or night. There's also valet trash service ($25 a month) and optional maid and pet sitting service. These apartments are described as "luxurious" which seems a bit of a stretch. The bathroom drain periodically smells like a sewer (yes, we've called maintenance) so we have to pour bleach down the sink. The windows are cheap, both the bedroom and the living room windows are crooked and don't fit properly. In fact, we cannot lock the bedroom window at all (again, maintenance was contacted about this matter). Fortunately we live on a high enough floor that an unlocked window isn't too scary...unless there's a gang of thieving pole vaulters out there. In addition, the bottom of the shower is a plastic pan, not tile. So please don't be fooled into thinking you've "moved on up" like the Jeffersons in that classic 70's TV show! That being said this is our home until our house is fixed. We are thankful that we are here, safe and comfortable. Would I recommend The Highbank? Yes, I probably would with the understanding that the same annoyances of any apartment complex (noisy neighbors running up and down the hall, people driving too fast in the garage, etc.) happen here, too, luxury or not. read more

It's not completely horrible. I've lived here 16 months. The overall apartment is very nice and livable besides the horrible smell that comes out the bathroom sink and shower. (Think sewage) There was supposed to be security after my vehicle and many many others were broken into. Have not seen security in a couple of months, and when I did they were sleeping in the security car. There's been a couple of cars broken into since then. The one incident made the news...multiple cars broken into (mine included) glass everywhere, which cost me a new tire about a week later. My lease was up in February, but our new place wasn't available to move in until March so on top of the extra $500 charge for the rent it's not too bad. If you can stand bad smells from running water, paper thin walls and occasional car break ins it's livable, but don't ask for an extra month to move it'll cost ya! read more

Living at The Highbank has been nothing short of pleasant and comfortable. From my experience, the management staff of an apartment complex has a lot to do with how your overall experience goes. The office management staff is so friendly, accommodating, and aren't looking for ways to fine you or take your money. Also, their rules for the property are more than accommodating. The 24/7 gym is fantastic, and always clean. The hallways are kept up, and the building as a whole is generally well kept without long term issues always standing out (parking garage, clubhouse, library). I have lived at a couple different apartment complexes in the city over the last 4-5 years, and these basic things aren't easy to find. They have a 24/7 locker service that they'll put your packages in- so no more rushing to the leasing office for your packages before they close. Also, I know it's hard to say it's "safe", but for being inside of the 610 loop where a lot is always happening, I'm very impressed with the security and how seldom we hear about anything happening. read more
