I needed to replace the entry door to my unit and was recommended to Fix It Oahu. Long story short the entry door to my unit wasn't the easiest to replace. I was quoted around $900-1000 for the installation. The installation ended up taking longer than they thought due to unforeseen issues with the door frame. So instead of taking a day to install it took more like a day and a half. After the job was finished, I was told that unfortunately the price had gone up from $900 to $1400 for the additional labor and supplies. I'll be honest although it was a tough entry door installation, I wasn't a fan of the difference in cost. That's the only reason why I gotta give a 4/5 stars on my review. I wanted to try and save myself as much as I could prepping the door myself and finishing the body working and painting myself. Shout out and big thanks again to Brad!!! He does exceptional work and is very attentive and detailed. So I made the call to Handyman Services (Ryan/Owner) and explained what I wanted, an estimate on installation of two doors. To my amazement, he said that he would be in my area in the afternoon. Sure enough he came by and took the measurements and within a couple of hours texted me the estimate. Now that's the kind of service that everyone expects, but rarely receive from any type business. I won't say how much the estimate was for, but I found it reasonable and less than I anticipated the job to be. I scheduled the next open date which was the following week. Ryan came by as scheduled and quickly framed and installed two security screen doors with some modifications. He's quick and efficient, also takes pride in the quality of his work. I hired these guys to do some basic paining outside of my home and some interior doors. I was in a…read morecrunch due to selling my home, but they seemed like they knew what they were talking about. I was quoted what any other licensed company would have charged but I had no other choice. When they were here to work there was usually multiple kids here painting. Not adults. And not professionals. So I guess that's why the work turned out looking like kids did it. They didn't tape things off nor did they use drop cloths and was very vocal about not getting paint in the house or the rock beds due to the house being up for sale. Paint is EVERYWHERE and roller marks all over the place. On top of that they painted (or didn't I should say) the interior doors. They look worse than they did when I sent them with them. So if you want to pay professional rates, for Children's work, more work than you started with, and for shortcuts to be taken then these are your guys. Also after contacting them about the results after payment... no response.
