Was it some kind of pureed and pressed chicken patty? I've had chicken like that. And it tasted very strongly of chicken. Looking at the interior, it could have maybe been a really dense bread, but it could equally be a spongy chicken. I am still wondering what kind of bread that could possibly have been. Why it had a battered coating. Why ot was so dense. Was it bread? Was it chicken? My companion had the mushroom swiss burger, which was a slice of white cheddar, a couple of mushrooms, and deep fried beef patty. Maybe we caught them on an off day. Maybe other dishes are better. It was sweet, but not cloying. The matcha and the espresso were working together beautifully. It was everything I didn't know I wanted. The cake was also yummy. I don't remember which one it was, but it had some orangey zest flavor to it. And all of it was priced very reasonably. If we're talking just what we ate and drank, this place is all of the stars. But the throughput, y'all... They had four staff, three of them were at the front counter, and somehow, it took 25+ min to get an iced drink and a slice of cake, and then another 10 min to get the second iced drink. Incredibly inefficient process where the young ladies were telling each other what the customers were waiting on, while also not actually doing anything about it. We also overheard them telling each other to mark off what was completed and what was outstanding. But why does it matter if what's outstanding is still ignored? Thank goodness, the cake and drinks were good to make up for the broken process. Y'all need someone with some SixSigma/Lean training to come in and help figure out what's going on. Maybe do a Gemba Walk or something?
