Even walking in with high expectations, I was blown away by the level of service. George, Kemesha's husband, was working the store on his own today. When I walked in and I asked for his help to select a gift, he apologized that his wife wasn't there. Then he called her. He put her on speaker phone and she guided me to an amazing gift. I could have looked at the shelf all day and not "seen" it. She wanted to give me another option too -- and I appreciated her integrity in that, but this first one was perfect! Next was gifts for my nieces and she directed me to a selection where literally everything was so perfect. And there were things there that I would buy for myself! When I mentioned I also needed a gift for another nephew, whose birthday is in a couple of weeks, she encouraged me to come back. She said that she could have recommended something in stock, but that she was getting more merchandise next week and didn't want to just sell me anything. This store isn't exactly around the corner from me; it was a detour to come here. Shopping online would be more convenient, in theory. But some things are more important than convenience. There is a level of care in how Kemesha and George run their store that cannot be replaced. Within 5 minutes Kemesha and George won me over as a raving fan client for life. This is a business run on integrity and caring, and I'm thrilled to give them my business. PS - I rarely take the time to write online reviews, so consider that for what it's worth to you.

The store is stocked with pops and toys and things that you can't find in other places. What I love the most is you can look at there stuff and they don't tell you not to touch anything. If they don't have what you looking for they will order it for you and tell you the truth if they can get it or not, they will also tell let you know it may take some time for it to come in and once they get it they let you know I'm on there comic list for the new comics that come out every week so I know I'm going to get my comics I'm happy to support this small business and I recommend it to everyone that's looking for old games and new pops and comics

I really wish I had more time, b/c I didn't even get to rummage through the entire store. Every corner seemed to have something new, including drawers & drawers of items that looked like they dated all the way back to the 1960s & maybe even the 1950s or older. Overall, it felt like one of those places you could get lost in for hours & still keep discovering new things. My absolute fave was the 80's & 90's nostalgia (my era)! It took me back in time to when I was growing up! Prices were fairly decent.

As Gen X guy it was alot of fun to walk around here, total trip down memory lane. They have a little bit of everything toys, comics, music, you name it. Terrible customer service! Ordered balloons and paid for them in advance (big mistake). I was not…read moreable to pick up the balloons on the day ordered but spoke to the gentleman who worked there and told him I would get them the following day. When I showed you at the store, all of my balloons were popped except 2. I was told by the young lady working that the balloons were deflating and there was no note to say I was coming to get them (missing note was not my problem). When I asked to speak with the owner to get some sort of credit, I was told I could REPURCHASE new balloons or call the next day to talk to the owner, which would have been today. When I called today, I was hung up on multiple times, and told it was my fault I did not get them on the day I said I was. I asked for a refund or store credit and I was told no, there was nothing they could do to help me. Meanwhile I paid for the balloons so no matter what fashion they were in, it was my prerogative to decide what I wanted to do with them, not for the store to pop and throw my money in the garbage (just short of $60). Terrible customer service especially for a small business who needs community support. I shopped in there often and am extremely disappointed by the lack of service I received over the past two days. That is not a way to treat paying customers!

Apparently, all my Cabbage Patch dolls and countless other toys came not from a big retailer- but this shop here. Back in the day- the owner would custom order toys and even offer layaway plans for my dad. See that horse and batmobile 25 cent ride out front? I have pictures of me as a kid on it! School supplies? We got them all here. Today- this toy store is as good as ever. They have a large bike repair section, school supplies, book bags, barbies, action figures, bikes, board games, video games and lots of other cool toys. And the owner is one of the nicest guys you'll meet. He knows his store well and is really helpful. And like I said before- this is a great stop for school supplies. They stock up on all the things a kid needs around the end of August. If you live in the area- this is definitely a place worth visiting.

If you're looking for blu ray/DVDs, you won't find any here at all - which is a bit disappointing. They do have vinyl though. Only had interaction with one employee and he was friendly. Most others I saw were with customers. Located in the Vernon Hills Shopping Center mall, there is plenty of parking. It's a generally busy shopping area, so use caution in the lot. A good location, but I don't see myself coming back here unless I'm in the immediate area and need to.
