Unfortunately for me, the new place is 25 miles further north at the Jefferson Valley Mall. This is as far as you can go in Westchester county because Putnam county is just across the street. Like most malls across the country, JVM is not doing great, with not a lot of tenants or customers and it just seems to be barely hanging on. At least their anchor store, Macy's hasn't bailed yet. I'm hardly ever up this way, but when I am, I'll stop in at WTH to see any new stuff (and to see the old stuff). The new store has almost as big a footprint as the Galleria store, but way bigger than the previous White Plains mall one, which got the wrecking ball also (I'm not sure if that's a good omen). Everything was moved here, every plane, train & automobile (literally) and even Barbie (but no Oppenheimer). John told me he has big plans for the new store and to check back for new inventory soon. Each aisle has a hobby specialty. The biggest proportion is in the back where all the model trains reside. Glass cabinets are filled with vintage Lionel trains and other well known brands. The Hot Wheels collection made it over, as well as the Barbie and Hess truck collections. But my main hobby focus are model airplanes and ships and their collection of old kits is pretty impressive. They get new old kits all the time by buying up old collections and reselling. This trip, I got (3) 70's-80's nostalgic plastic airplane kits that I've had or wanted since I was a kid. I could wander the aisles here all day and they would have to kick me out. Maybe I'll go back after I grab some lunch at the food court...

I was taking back a little because yes you are closed but I'm in the store and I'm a paying customer and your still on the clock ... The manager asked if I checked the bins we checked together and his amazing eyes spotted . The visit wasn't as bad . I got my Order and I got out the store .... Thank you to the young man who open the door idk if your the manager but keep up the amazing customer service

I had a very disappointing experience at the Michaels store in Cross County. I went to purchase…read moreMake Market permanent vinyl after seeing a store sign advertising "ALL Printables & Vinyl Accessories by Cricut, Make Market & Siser -- Buy 3, Get 3 FREE." I selected three Make Market permanent vinyls with the intention of purchasing three more under the advertised promotion. When I went to check out, I was told by the manager, Dominique, that the Make Market permanent vinyl was not included in the sale and that she would not honor the promotion. What made this especially frustrating is that the sign clearly says ALL and specifically lists Make Market. I even had a photo of the sign showing the promotion. Instead of professionally explaining why these particular products supposedly did not qualify or checking the advertised signage, I felt Dominique was dismissive and unprofessional in the way the situation was handled. I understand that exclusions can happen, but customers should not be expected to figure out exclusions that are not clearly stated on the advertised sign. If an item or type of vinyl is excluded, the signage should clearly say so. I shop at Michaels for crafting supplies and expected much better customer service, especially from a manager. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I hope Michaels reviews both the promotional signage at this location and how this situation was handled.

The event wasn't for another two hours, and I was clearly just checking out the store for the first time. Zero customer service, zero friendliness, and absolutely no reason to ever spend money here -- good luck to them.

They have an excellent collection of trading cards. They also host tournaments. It's a cozy store, small but with a nice seating area. I stopped by briefly looking for board games. True tabletop games, not ones that you can find at a big box store. Not monopoly and scrabble. Not even settlers of catan. Looking for something like Wingspan. Everdell. Ark Nova. Some tabletop game hobby shops have a nice wall of games like these. This place has a shelf. A single shelf. Games are facing forward so you can fit fewer games. Maybe 10 games. Pandemic, Machi Koro, Small World, Gloomhaven. So this is not the place. Going to have to look further.
