Very dishonest people. I was offered $615 for a 10k gold class ring 20g. I knew it was worth more. I drove 20 minutes to Cos Cobb, CT and sold the ring of $820. With silver prices soaring, my wife and I just had to bring in the sterling silver set her mom bought her when she was 18. In 1965. Of course we went to other highly-rated shops in the area, but Coin Exchange offered TEN PER CENT MORE than the other dealers. In the end, we didn't sell the silver: the sentimental value outweighs...literally...the money we could get for it. A very honest and respectable place to have your gold , coins , jewelry appraised , purchased and sold , etc. I made a quick visit into a hour visit as I had the kind gentleman look at my old coins and the total value is not enough to purchase the los Angeles rams and lakers but I was mildly surprised they were worth anything .The coin exchange gentleman told me a little history on my coins and recommended to hold on to them as the value may rise over time . No pressure to buy , no pressure to sell , and his honestly was good enough for me to purchase a watch and gold coin for a little future investment project . If you are looking to exchange / sell coins in the Westchester Area, this business provides a fair quote. If you are looking to sell any type of jewelry, I highly recommend that you do your homework first. Although, I wasn't ready to part with a couple pieces , the quote given by Coin Exchange was significantly less than what I was quoted ( 82 % less ) by a gemologist a few weeks later. I recognize that they are a business and in most cases , people need to immediately dispose of items, but if you are not in a rush to sell , please do some research. I went to the Coin Exchange based on the great reviews to sell some jewelry I no longer used. Scott was very professional and made me an offer. I left without selling my jewelry to see if I could get a better offer elsewhere. I went to my jewelry store where I thought I would get a fair if not better offer. Not only did this not happen there, but also they were trying to tell my my 18k pieces were not 18k and I knew they were. I went to a third gold buyer, and there too, I was not given the pricing that I was given at the Coin Exchange, however they did verify my 18k gold once again. When I went back to the Coin Exchange, although Scott was not there, Mike helped me, verified my jewelry again by testing it in their cool machine. He honored Scott's pricing, and throughout the process was extremely professional and amicable. I left there knowing that I received the best available pricing, and enjoyed the seamless process. I stopped by today to scrap some of moms gold...with Mom in tow. Mike was professional, patient, thorough, friendly and gave me/Mom a very fair scrap price. These guys know their trade.
