The corn dog here was actually awesome. First of all the Big Daddy size is massive, easily bigger than my face, but it's not just big. The batter is super flavorful and tasted fantastic when it came out hot. Every bite had an even amount of hot dog and batter so you won't be left eating just a cake. The Big Mama was a surprise hit, the cheddar jalapeno dog was soo good, I can prob eat two on my own. It's right off the highway and features an outdoor seating area with tables and chairs, hammocks for lounging, games to play, and a fire pit with tree stumps to sit around on. They also play music to complete the overall hang out vibe. I came for the big one and it was aptly named "Big Daddy." Hand battered and fried up to order and totally worth the short wait. The dog is juicy and the batter holds up perfectly while not in the least bit dense with a slightly sweet taste. At $8 it was cheaper than Fletcher's at the State Fair of Texas and, in agreement with others, even BETTER! They also have regular sized corn dogs and a medium one too. Another thing I wanted to try was the cheese dog. I've never had anything like it so it was cool to eat, although a bit rich for me. Great to share. In addition, they serve nachos, chili cheese hot dogs, and fried Oreos and Twinkies. I didn't have stomach room for dessert. They have a self serve station for toppings for your hot dogs and nachos and another one of condiments galore. Even Whataburger ketchup! The customer service was awesome! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. You can tell the staff have fun working with each other which makes for such a cool environment. A nice guy who came out to maintain the fire pit and was very easy to talk with. He spoke about the community and how involved they are as a business. I wish I had gotten his name. If you don't love a good corn dog, you're broken! This joint has killer vibes! It's really laid back with hammocks and great tunes playing. Customer service was great. Even though the parking lot was packed and overflowing next door, we only waited about ten minutes for food. We ordered three things; medium corn dog, fried cheese on a stick, and a chili cheese dog. The wife subbed the nacho cheese for shredded cheese and added black olives on her chili cheese dog. Not sure how she came up with that oddball combo, but she loved it! The corn dog was cooked perfectly! I secretly wished I ordered two, I mean...it was vacation! Vacation calories don't count, right?! Fried cheese on a stick was I believe American cheese or maybe Veleeta? It was good, but I would definitely trade it for another one of those yummy corn dogs. The only change I would suggest is new hammocks. These have had LOTS of love and have holes. Time to replace them guys.
