There is an elegance about the beauty that is hard to find in homes today. "The Bridgewater School" was founded in 1911 and operated as such until 1960. It was assisted by the Rosenwald Fund in 1921 along with the Shelby County school board. Since being used as a school and community gathering place, it has also housed many travelers as a B&B. It was a very large room with all the modern amenities. Bathroom was large with a big shower and a soaking tub. Didn't try the tub but the shower was nice with good water pressure. Breakfast the next morning was really good with plenty to eat. The off street gated parking was nice to have.

I'm not sure how other people set up or if it's always set up this way, but the main table was set up inside the largest room with a snack table set up next to it. The cake was set up on a pretty display in the room across from that. The DJ set up in the pavilion outside and we used the area in front of it as the dance floor. There was outside seating that we all took advantage of when it was time to do the first dance and everything else that comes with a wedding. There were waiters available to help serve drinks and clean up afterward. The bride and groom had actually set up a taco stand outside of the other exit so guests could go get tacos whenever they felt like it for the duration of the taco stand. It was a lot of fun and a great use of the limited space, imo. It didn't feel as tight as I was worried it would and everyone had a great time. I would totally love to come back here.
