I am Im literal tears as I write this review because of my dogs visit today at the holistic paw previously known as De La Pet. Today August 23 2023 at 12:30pm I had my dog dropped off to get his haircut that he gets every 3 months here at this location. I had never had any issues and have been a happy customer for YEARS, until today!!!! Around 5pm I got the notice that he was ready for pickup. So my husband headed over to pick him up. When he got home he gave me the news and showed me what had happened to my beloved 13 year old senior fur baby!!!! The ***TIP OF HIS EAR WAS CUT OFF!!!!***Apparently the owner explained to him that there was an accident while goofy was getting his haircut and that they were sorry. ( mind you we never got a call regarding his injury) the owner said that he moved while he was getting his haircut!!! & to make it up they were going to give us 15% off todays price!!!! Yeah you read that right!!!! 15% off for cutting a piece of my dear fur babies ear!!!!! ( that was a huge slap on the face) I understand accidents happen and I would have accepted the apology if they would of handled it differently. I'm not a business owner but i think it's common sense that if you as the business do not hand me my dog as I dropped him off and he is in need of a vet visit and needs treatment, that they at least...at the very least offer to pay for the expenses that we were not accounting for. My dogs ear is still bleeding and he is clearly in pain and will be seen by the vet asap. To conclude this I don't want anything to do with this business anymore!!! I do not need the money so they can keep it! I am not doing this review to get any financial reimbursement I just want people to know our experience and they can decide whether they take their beloved pets here or not. This was our experience and I am free to speak on it.

Bloodied and brutalized. Do not walk away from this groomer, R-U-N! We have a 10 month old golden doodle that has been groomed every 3 weeks for his entire life. We recently moved to Granite Bay and decided to try a new groomer. Very sadly, we ended up at De La Pet Salon. We dropped him off and asked for a standard grooming (wash, haircut, nail cut, etc.). After a few hours we hadn't heard from anyone so called to see if he was done. They were running behind so it ended up being a few hours after that. No issue it happens. However, When we picked our dog up, he was oddly quiet and not his usual self. We thought it might be due to a new environment. Once we got home, he ran to his cot and laid down. After eating some lunch, my wife noticed that there was a trail blood going from the front door to where our dog was in the office. We then looked in the car and sure enough more blood. After further inspection, it looks like they clipped not one but two of the nails on our dog so short, that he was bleeding. This is actually very dangerous for dogs as they cant always stop bleeding. My wife texted the owner and their response was literally "try baby power to stop the bleeding and scrub the carpet with hot water and soap." No I'm so sorry, that shouldn't have happened. Allow us to cover the cost of carpet cleaning and at least refund the mail portion of the grooming. Literally just completely uncaring. The owner goes on to tell my wife that if she posts about this she will file a police report for slander. The craziest customer service response I've ever witnessed. She goes on to say that my wife should educate herself and try Google to learn more about dog grooming. Let me tell you, I'm over 20 years of having dogs regularly groomed - this has never happened. Sub par groomer, sub par people, and abusive to animals. Never support them. Hopefully she files the police report as we'd love to share more about our experience. As always, happy to update this review if anything changes. Photos and screenshots attached.

His face is so cute without all the wild little hairs everywhere.

Our little Chihuahua has never looked better! Handsome as can be! And the staff is fabulous! I absolutely got the best vibe from them!

Amazing service . The most lovely owner. I take my Pomeranian in very often. He always comes home smelling so amazing and looking his best . I feel so at ease leaving my puppy child there because I know he is in such good hands and well taken care of.

Went from: "Sir can you spare some change?" To: "I'll have her home by midnight"

Went From: "Sir can you spare some change " To: "I'll have her home by midnight " On a serious note. Great service, explained ways to improve my dogs skin problem and took great care of them. Will see them again soon.

Brought my 8 month old, almost 60 lbs goldendoodle for the first time today. He has had a bad experience with a previous local groomer before (rhymes with Nosh Naws) but at De La Pet Salon they were able to work through his fears and give him a great spa day! And all for a very, very reasonable price 10/10, I will only be taking my dog here from now on.

Brought my little man in here today as his place he usually goes was busy.. What an awesome job, a little longer and pricier than I'm use to but how adorable my little man looks i will be back! Great job ladies !!

I highly recommend this groomer! My dogs are very temperamental and do not like to be groomed ever. April was able to get them groomed perfectly and they enjoyed themselves. I will be back! April was even able to groom my little blind yorkie!

This place is a gem! I don't know where to start. After reading great reviews of this pet salon, I had to bring my Maltipoo puppy, Daisy (aka Potato), in and see what it was all about. The shop is welcoming, well lit, clean and the ladies who work here are super friendly and helpful! Katie is the one who grooms Daisy and is absolutely wonderful with her. I can't say enough good things. I would definitely recommend this pet salon to anyone looking for friendly groomers who do a wonderful job with a smile!

They did a great job on my Scottish Terrier, even though I know my baby is not easy. They took a little longer than I expected, but to be fair that's probably because they were taking it easy for her, as a first time client. I would totally bring her back!

We have been coming here for almost a year after being told that 10 month old our miniature schnauzer was too difficult at several other local groomers. We told them of our troubles and they were so helpful! They said "she's still a puppy and needs to be trained" they do a wonderful job at fair prices. I have been sending anyone I can to them and will continue to do so. The picture shows her after several weeks still looking great!

My rescue dog has always been hesitant to being groomed. He's a shih tzu so it needs to be done. We've been grooming him ourselves for 2 years but finally wanted to try to get him professionally done. We asked to not trim his nails (we've worked hard to get him to trust us to cut his nails and we'd rather do it ourselves) and for a standard cut. When we picked him up we noticed his nails were cut and he had a razor burn all around his nose. I called and told the owner that we were very unhappy with his cut, and he came back looking about the same as if we would have done it (minus the burn). She wasn't much help. We found a new groomer who makes him look amazing and worth the money. I'm glad to see people have had great experiences here, but I was scarred to take my dog anywhere else after this experience.

Tabitha was amazing. She groomed my golden doodle perfectly. Not many groomers can do that! He was cut exactly as I asked.

She did an excellent job last time with the dog. He had to get shaved with matted fur but came out looking like a champ. Love this place.

My dad picked my dog up, Stephanie the manager was the one who cut his hair and when he got picked up all she mentioned was how "he was just a little nervous" and that was all. No mention about the wound or dry blood on his fur. The two days after I noticed my dog was acting odd and unusual anytime someone pet him he cried and seemed like he was hurt, at first I thought it might've been a random injury within because there was nothing wrong with how he was walking just a little more bit scared than usual. Then around third day I came home from work and sat on the floor to greet him and pet him sure gently just putting my hand over his head to back massaging very delicately, and when I passed his head he cried and I also felt a hard scab like thing. I then told my dad and aimed the flashlight on his head to see what it was and all we could see was dry blood and the screenshot within the last image provided was what we saw. We think only knew it was due from his haircut because he had only been acting weird after coming back and crying randomly. We then went to the salon the next day early opening and brought him so we can see and they immediately tried defending there staff, yes apologized for the very least and offered to either clean it up as best they can right now or go to any vet place to help him further more. They also mentioned the charges would fully be covered so we took him to the vet the day after and they told us theyd have to sedate him which was super scary knowing he just turned 13 years old, and not only that they mentioned the cut was analyzed as a blade cut from the haircut gear they use and that the cut was one centimeter deep and width in size. The cut was also infected due to the time passed since after his haircut and it would've all been significantly less traumatizing and less painful for my dog if they would've just told us the mistake that occurred. If it was said day of it wouldn't have been infected nor needed so much more to go through but the manager Stephanie didn't wanna take accountability clearly. I understand mistakes happen but you were with animals these are peoples children please speak up even if it was a big mistake! Not only that after my dad sent the billing like they said to send the billing of and they were denying it fighting against paying it. The craziest part is the pet salon said that the vet told them it was a "bump" not a razor blade cut and so my dad had to call the vet place and ask if they got called by a certain number which was the salon and said they never called and never said that. After so much back and forth with a few days passing of them fighting against trying to pay the charges the vet was in contact with the pet salon and at the end the pet salon paid up. Which was super embarrassing, how are you gonna fight against paying for one of ur clients injuries you guys caused. If anything you guys should be quick to accepting to help after hurting our dog. We also asked for the footage and the owner kept trying to say he couldn't because he had to protect his employees as if their employees were the ones who got hurt. You guys genuinely are heartless and lack so much accountability and sympathy, cant image working at a pet place and hurting a dog and denying to show the film, paying to help, and even fighting against a case like this. Also if you "can't show the film to protect ur employees" what is there protecting for if you guys are claiming there was no harm done. You guys are horrendous.
