I take my teenage Bernedoodle to The Holistic Paw and they do a really great job grooming her. Whether it's just a bath or full groom, she always looks great and smells wonderful. One groomer, Tabitha has such a calm demeanor it quickly alleviates my pups separation anxiety. I feel good taking my pup to Holistic Paw, the entire staff are knowledgeable, kind and helpful. I am Im literal tears as I write this review because of my dogs visit today at the holistic paw previously known as De La Pet. Today August 23 2023 at 12:30pm I had my dog dropped off to get his haircut that he gets every 3 months here at this location. I had never had any issues and have been a happy customer for YEARS, until today!!!! Around 5pm I got the notice that he was ready for pickup. So my husband headed over to pick him up. When he got home he gave me the news and showed me what had happened to my beloved 13 year old senior fur baby!!!! The ***TIP OF HIS EAR WAS CUT OFF!!!!***Apparently the owner explained to him that there was an accident while goofy was getting his haircut and that they were sorry. ( mind you we never got a call regarding his injury) the owner said that he moved while he was getting his haircut!!! & to make it up they were going to give us 15% off todays price!!!! Yeah you read that right!!!! 15% off for cutting a piece of my dear fur babies ear!!!!! ( that was a huge slap on the face) I understand accidents happen and I would have accepted the apology if they would of handled it differently. I'm not a business owner but i think it's common sense that if you as the business do not hand me my dog as I dropped him off and he is in need of a vet visit and needs treatment, that they at least...at the very least offer to pay for the expenses that we were not accounting for. My dogs ear is still bleeding and he is clearly in pain and will be seen by the vet asap. To conclude this I don't want anything to do with this business anymore!!! I do not need the money so they can keep it! I am not doing this review to get any financial reimbursement I just want people to know our experience and they can decide whether they take their beloved pets here or not. Bloodied and brutalized. Do not walk away from this groomer, R-U-N! We have a 10 month old golden doodle that has been groomed every 3 weeks for his entire life. We recently moved to Granite Bay and decided to try a new groomer. Very sadly, we ended up at De La Pet Salon. We dropped him off and asked for a standard grooming (wash, haircut, nail cut, etc.). After a few hours we hadn't heard from anyone so called to see if he was done. They were running behind so it ended up being a few hours after that. No issue it happens. However, When we picked our dog up, he was oddly quiet and not his usual self. We thought it might be due to a new environment. Once we got home, he ran to his cot and laid down. After eating some lunch, my wife noticed that there was a trail blood going from the front door to where our dog was in the office. We then looked in the car and sure enough more blood. After further inspection, it looks like they clipped not one but two of the nails on our dog so short, that he was bleeding. This is actually very dangerous for dogs as they cant always stop bleeding. My wife texted the owner and their response was literally "try baby power to stop the bleeding and scrub the carpet with hot water and soap." No I'm so sorry, that shouldn't have happened. Allow us to cover the cost of carpet cleaning and at least refund the mail portion of the grooming. Literally just completely uncaring. The owner goes on to tell my wife that if she posts about this she will file a police report for slander. The craziest customer service response I've ever witnessed. She goes on to say that my wife should educate herself and try Google to learn more about dog grooming. Let me tell you, I'm over 20 years of having dogs regularly groomed - this has never happened. Sub par groomer, sub par people, and abusive to animals. Never support them. Hopefully she files the police report as we'd love to share more about our experience. My rescue dog has always been hesitant to being groomed. He's a shih tzu so it needs to be done. We've been grooming him ourselves for 2 years but finally wanted to try to get him professionally done. We asked to not trim his nails (we've worked hard to get him to trust us to cut his nails and we'd rather do it ourselves) and for a standard cut. When we picked him up we noticed his nails were cut and he had a razor burn all around his nose. I called and told the owner that we were very unhappy with his cut, and he came back looking about the same as if we would have done it (minus the burn). She wasn't much help. We found a new groomer who makes him look amazing and worth the money. I'm glad to see people have had great experiences here, but I was scarred to take my dog anywhere else after this experience. read more

We adopted a dog that, unfortunately, wasn't too comfortable around other dogs. Many groomers we spoke too couldn't accommodate this issue, but this groomer did. The owner went out of her way to make sure that our dog was kept away from other dogs and taken care of. She also penciled us in with very short notice. We started bringing our little dude (Hamilton - big name for a little dog) here after a bad experience at a groomer in Sacramento. It is a bit of a drive for us but we would honestly drive a few hours just to take him to De La Pet. The woman who runs the place is an ANGEL and treats our super anxious pup so well. Our dude has struggled with significant anxiety to the point he was on medication for a while (I know, so "California" of us) but they treat Hamilton so well he actually likes going to the groomer's now and he always ends up coming home looking amazing! I wish I could give extra kudos for helping us get the little dude's skin allergies under control!! read more

I really was hoping I would love this place based on the reviews. I brought in my female cockapoo for a full groom. The FIRST and LAST thing I said was DO NOT CUT HER EYE LASHES. I reminded her. I go to pick her up and she looks amazing but all of her long beautiful lashes were chopped off. The lady had the audacity to blame it on her long hair (which wasn't long and bad at all) and told me they don't write down what the owners want done until AFTER they're done grooming the dog. Great little shop hidden in a small strip of shops. They were amazing with my rescue dog who did not like to be groomed (per the previous owner). I've been trying to find a groomer for my Shorkie, Kingston, since we moved to Roseville in August. I have tried a couple of places that were nice, but he never quite looked the way we requested. After reviewing Yelp, I decided to try De La Salon and am beyond happy with this groomer. They got Kingston in with short notice and the staff was welcoming, knowledgeable and nice. I have some horror stories before having found April, but it is all water under the bridge now that we have found an angel in April. It is great she knows what to do for our furry Sasha (Yorkshire Terrier) and the topping on the ice cream is that she throws in all the TLC to make our furry baby comfortable in the process til the end. I used to have a terrible time bathing my little girl in between visits and then doing a blow dry and after three visits with April, Sasha is so well-behaved. She stays calm and takes it all in. Yes, even through the blow-dry process. When we go to pick up Sasha we are always surprised with a little accessory April adds for appeal. April and De La Pet Salon are heaven sent. My first review after my third visit. My pup is my best friend and I dont like taking her to any groomer. She actually hates going to vet or any groomer and sadly that includes De La. With that being said, this place is incredible. My pup gets here nails cut and buffed, bathed, glands checked and cleaned if needed and teeth brushed. While my pup always happy to be done the folks here are extremely caring and professional and my pup looks like a new pup each time. Its only place she'll go to for now on. read more
