I accidentally left my gauge on the propane tank, when I turned it in. The manager ended up giving me one. That's customer service!!! The cashier, up front, was awesome as well. She was very helpful.

At the time of my last review, Home Depot was not requiring face coverings, nor encouraging social distancing to minimize potential exposure to CV-19 for their employees or customers. (Only one employee in the entire store wore a face covering.) HD now requires all employees & customers to wear a face covering while in their stores. The store is also promoting physical distancing by marking floors, adding signage and plexiglass shields to help customers and associates maintain safe distances. This action is appreciated as it helps to minimize everyones potential exposure, especially when the store is busy. If one purchases ill-fitting, incorrect or unneeded item(s), their generous return policy is usually 90 days (there are exceptions) from the original purchase. Home Depot guarantees all perennials, trees & shrubs for one year. Just be sure to keep your original receipt when you buy it.  Should the the original receipt get misplaced, the transaction can quickly be found by the credit or debit card used for the purchase, for up to 90 days. We have used their free curbside order pick-up service. It is easy, quick and convenient. Most warehouse stores are pretty much average, but since the associates at this location are friendly, helpful & knowledgeable, an added star is definitely in order.

I bought a ryobi chain saw less then 3 month ago and the fuel line disintegrated and clogged the fuel system.i came to home depot to return it and they refused to take it back.

Clearly, there's been an indisputable uptick in pandemic spread, including in our area. A renewed order went out requiring that people wear masks in public places, especially if they'll be going into an enclosed facility. Reasonable and necessary measures to keep us all safe ... one would think. But safety measures are only as good as the people who adhere to them. So if staff stands around, unmasked, talking to each other less than two feet apart, and allow in -- despite clear signage to mask up -- customers who couldn't care less and don't, then it's a pretty clear indication that it cuts both ways. Home Depot isn't concerned with the safety of their customers either.

For the most part, staff that is available has been really helpful compared to a few to 5 years ago. Rental folks are great.

Noticing the brick building with a 1899 marker on the top of the left side of the building and a 1923 marker on the other, we made a point to stop to check out the hardware store. We do appreciate functioning hardware stores housed in historic buildings. The hardware store is an Ace hardware. An actual operating hardware store. The Hewitt family has owned the shop since 1923. Pretty darn cool. The shop is filled with hardware items for the home and ranch. They carry typical Ace hardware inventory. Prices were actually competitive. I saw items priced cheaper than my local Ace Hardware in the Sacramento/Placerville area. As we walked about the historic building, we can see the interior where the older (pre 1923) and the newer (1923) building begins. Other than that, nothing historic inside..The interior was modern and clean with well organized inventory. Staff was welcoming. The young man even listened to Hubs stories of the oldest hardware store west of the Mississippi in Placerville, CA (est 1856) which is in our neck of the woods. We even stopped to speak with the owner of the new shop opening next to Hewitt Hardware. He was working on the outside porch area. We struck up a brief conversation. He and his wife were opening up a boutique and leather goods shop. He is a leather craftsman making handcrafted goods. The shop's soft opening is on July 3rd in time for the big ole Fourth of July Templeton parade.

Recently one of the soft close mechanisms stopped working and not sure what to do I called the shop for direction, fully expecting that they would tell me there is nothing they would do. Instead, they set up an appointment to look at the issue. Long story short Steve came out and looked at the issue, returned on a later appointment with the right part and installed it, not charge. I was so impressed that 5 years after the installation they would come out and look at an issue. A lot of places can make a good product, but customer service after the sale, even 5 years later, is the backbone of any product, especially Morro Bay Cabinet products.
