I shop at this home depot because it is closer to me than Redmond. It is very hard to find anyone to help you in the individual departments and even harder to find someone to get a ladder to grab something off the top shelf. I try very hard now to stay away from this location because of its horrible customer service. They have employees all over the place but they would rather talk to each other or keep stocking shelves than help a customer that is actually trying to buy something. I will stick with Ace and Lowes from now on but figured I would try to give HD a try again.... Guess I will try again in a year or so. read more

Every single time I order for delivery or in store pick up, they fuck up the order. It is beyond frustrating. I have had 4 orders screwed up in a year. They don't know how to pull them or deliver them. They can't even get the order to the customer service desk. I get the email saying it is ready for pick up and low and behold, the fucktards can't even find it in their area. Good luck if you order anything from this location. It is a shit show. read more

Good luck seeking someone from the Bend, Home Depot to support blinds which have been purchased at this store. Without fail, the blinds need repair from 1-2x per year and each time the phone response is non-existent, disrespectful or mismanaged. Today, six separate phone calls were required to simply speak with someone. Yesterday, 4 phone calls. Calls which are routed, ultimately return to the operator who will refer your call to another department. Rinse. Repeat. The issue, may be top down! Employees, seemingly, have very little incentive to answer a phone call, return a phone call or manage a phone call professionally. The phone and support services at the Bend, Home Depot rate as the worst among retailers with whom we have worked. read more

I just had a unbelievable experience in this store purchasing an oven. For years we have shopped at Lowes next door and after getting shoved around in there for 45 minutes we walked out. It started out in home appliance looking at oven's and not one soul/rep in department. A store stacker tried to help out and shuffled us up to customer service. They directed us to electrical to choose a power cord. We returned to desk only to find a new employee with no knowledge of what was happening. Well back to ground zero again so we walked out. We stopped at the Home Depot and what a difference! We were bumping into employees asking if we needed assistance. Directed to a nice lady, Joyce in kitchen cabinets which made our purchase a breeze. Only after 10 minutes of paper work we were on our way. This was incredibly simple purchase. Highly Recommend !!!! read more

Just don't every buy gifts for people from here. I am so disappointed with Home depot. I received a gift from a friend for my birthday. It was purchased from home depot and it was delivered to me. Unfortunately - I already have a similar item and so it is not something that I am able to use. I tried to take it and the order slip to the local home depot to get store credit for something that I would actually use. I was told that the only possible way to return it would be to put it back onto the original card. I do not have the best relationship with the person who gave it to me and feel that this would damage it further. I have always considered home depot to be a reasonable place and gifts from there are usually high on my wish list but if I am not able to return or exchange an unwanted gift without the givers knowing about it - then I would be better off asking for something from amazon where at least if I get a duplicate item, I can exchange it without asking the person who gave it to me for the cold hard cash!! read more

10/13 Bend OR store. Purchased "cut while you wait roller shades". Head of department took over 30 minutes to cut 5 shades to measurements given. She expressed difficulty getting machine to cut correct size. As we agreed it was better to cut a little longer and for us to have to return, but 3 were too short. We returned to store. Next guy incorrectly cut through at min. 4 new shades, then had another guy to help. He used a knife unable to use machine. At end, the guy hands us the blinds, not a word and just turns & walks away. Hello? did we do something wrong here? Got home, the one cut with exacto knife is jagged and doesn't roll correctly. Two of the three were missing the wooden dowel that slides into pocket. Terrible product, terrible equipment, terrible service! read more

Easter Day and our range went out, of course. Went to Home Depot because online it said they had the one we needed, a drop-in range in stock. They had one the floor model and would not sell it to us, even to save our Easter dinner. Called a couple of managers, salesperson was completely unresponsive to us, said it would be a week, that was all they could do. Home Depot is not about to go above and beyond for their customers. Called Lowes while in Home Depot and they had the same stove for less and we could take one home today. Now that's customer service. Lowes is the Nordstrom of home improvement. read more

I just left the HD store on the North end of Bend off of Hwy 97. I have done a considerable amount of business with them over the years, but because of my experience with their employee Don Rice, I will now be frequenting Lowe's and Parr Lumber. Mr. Rice is apparently the only employee on duty allowed to use their panel saw. I was patiently waiting my turn behind two other customers for about 10 minutes. When my turn came I asked Mr. Rice to assist me with two 12' sections of car decking material which was literally within 15 ft of the saw. Mr. Rice told me to go get it and bring it to the saw and he would cut it. This I did. It took me about 2 minutes. When I returned Mr. Rice was nowhere to be found. After waiting 20 minutes, I walked down a set of aisles and found him holding 2 orange flags and standing at the end of a blocked off aisle. He again told me he was the only one around and I would just have to wait, despite the fact that he was aware that I had already patiently waited almost 25 minutes. Apparently he is also the only store employee fully skilled in the fine art of standing at the end of a closed off aisle and holding orange flags. So thanks Mr. Rice. You are a true credit to your company and your profession, and although I will be spending my money at your competitors in the future, if I find myself in need of an aisle flagger, I will not call you, but I will certainly think of you. After standing in a long line because lack of checkers as usual a new checker opens up and instead of saying next in line the people behind me rushed to the new checker. Was I ever mad and left my cart and walked out with over 200 dollars worth of supplies and went next door to Lowe's where they always have plenty of checkers. This has happened to me twice in Home Depot and I even called up the manager and complained. Unless Lowe's does not have an item I need I will never set foot in Home Depot again. read more

OK it is Saturday, two days before the first cold snap of the fall, I don't see any wood pellets out front but before I leave I drive around the side of the building and there are three pallets, go back into the store and am told they are for delivery , however there are multiple pallets behind the building that are apparently buried and no one has thought that is might be a good thing to have whatever wood pellets that are available move to the front of the store so they could be sold. No one made an effort to help me, although the store was overrun with "associates" on a slow morning. I just left and went over to Lowes and unfortunately paid more than I wanted to. On July 25th I ordered Levelor blinds and was told they would be here in 2 weeks. Today, August 18th, I called to find out where they were as I haven't heard anything. I found out that the blinds had shipped on August 7 and that they would be in the store on August 31st. No one could tell me why it was taking so long and honestly no one seemed to care. We went into Home Depot to order new flooring for our house. We originally were going to put carpet in only the two bedrooms and vinyl plank flooring in the rest of the house. After receiving an estimate for over $8k we changed our minds and decided to keep carpet where there was carpet now, and replace the old vinyl with new. We confirmed this changed several times, with several different Home Depot employees. And sat in store with an employee while they made us a new estimate then and there. We were having the new vinyl installed by a family member so only needed to purchase the flooring. After Home depot redoing our estimate, it was under half the price of the original estimate. We decided we wanted to go this route. We ordered the floors and scheduled an install for the carpet. When the installers arrived to do the carpet, they only had enough carpet for the two bedrooms. The installers informed us that Home Depot only charged us for the two bedrooms and didn't include the rest of the areas that were supposed to be carpeted. After calling Home Depot they had confirmed this and gave us the rest of the carpet at price, still around $1k. We had moved all the furniture out of the house and had family members take time off of work to help us. The two bedrooms were installed and Jesse our installer was great. We had to schedule a time weeks later to have the rest of the house carpeted. When this time came the installers were different, even though we were told Jesse would be back to finish the install. It took about 8 hours for them to install the rest of the house. After they had finished we got a call the next day that they installed the carpet running the opposite way from the carpet in the bedroom, and they were going to completely reorder our carpet and reinstall it for free. The only place you could notice this mistake was in the door ways, and we don't mind and quite frankly don't want to deal with it anymore. We had decided that we did not want to do this. We couldn't take more time off as we had to monitor our four dogs. This install company called and we agreed to try and just seek a refund from Home Depot. The last time they called was 3/26 and we haven't heard anything since then or had this issue resolved at all. They did refund us $50 basically just to let us know they were working on it. We had our floors finished in February. I'd recommend going somewhere else for flooring installs, anywhere else to be honest. read more

I'm starting a kitchen remodel, trying to anyway, and up until Fri. everything was going pretty smoothly. Then on Fri. my card wouldn't work, I found out the bank has a limit on everyone because of fraud. That's ok, however by the time I got through to the bank the line was so long that I just thought I should let the customers go ahead and I would call in the information. We had tried several difference approaches to getting the charge done. This was a Fri. afternoon, the place was packed and only one customer service rep. I tried calling Sat. to no avail. and again yesterday. When I finally got through yesterday I was told that I had paid the majority of the bill earlier this month, which I knew hadn't been done. The girl helping me said she would talk to a supervisor and someone would get back to me. I'm waiting!! In the meantime I tried calling a couple more times, but the hold length is so long I just kept giving up. It's too bad, because I really like the store and products, I bought a new water heater, washer, dryer, stove and refrigerator because I recently bought a new house. No problem. Was not impressed by the customer service we received. Had one guy check for a range we wanted and said it was in stock. We looked around and another guy helped us and we decided to buy the range. Without looking it up told us, "oh we don't have that in stock, we'll have to order it." Then said he couldn't help us and went and got yet another guy... Marty finally got us taken care of and did great. Then as we were walking out, I showed the associate at the self checkout my receipt. She asked why it was not validated... I don't know girl, I don't work there. I asked for her to call for someone to help us load it. She did, but no one came. So my husband goes back inside and she says I try to call but I only get a busy signal. Couldn't you use the 2 way radio all the associates have blaring loud?? We finally had to track someone down ourselves to help us. As we were shopping around asked if someone could show us where shower curtain rods were the response I got was, "I know we have them, just don't know where. Sorry." Really? That's it?? We are from Klamath falls and down there we know the manager by name. We won't be back. We'll drive the extra distance to Klamath!! read more
