Outstanding Customer Service at Home Depot in Blairsville, GA! My husband and I recently purchased a cabin in North Georgia and, as new residents of Blairsville, we had quite a shopping list to get our new home ready. One of our biggest purchases was 11 interior doors, and our experience at the Blairsville Home Depot was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we walked in, the entire team went above and beyond to help us. Ray (Ramon), the manager, was incredibly professional, helpful, and welcoming. Amanda and the floor team were just as amazing. They took the time to work with us, carefully making sure we selected the correct door sizes, styles, and sides. They never rushed us or made us feel like we were just another customer. What really stood out was how much they genuinely cared about getting everything right for us. Buying and preparing a new home can be overwhelming, but their patience, knowledge, and willingness to help made the entire experience easy and enjoyable. We were so impressed with the team that we even took photos with them! It was such a fun and memorable experience, and we are so happy that our local Home Depot has a team like this. Absolutely crap, beyond belief, poor customer service. I went in on a Tuesday morning, not crowded, to get a quote on flooring and installation. I stayed in the flooring area for 30+ minutes with not one offer of help. I asked 4-5 orange apron people if they worked in flooring, all but one said no and just walked away. One said she would send someone. Did not. I stopped by the kitchen counter section and there were three of four employees sitting/standing around a desk, not making eye contact. I try to buy local and help the job situation, but this is why Amazon is winning and will win. read more

Tried working with Dianne, cashier in garden area and she would not agree with the floor person on bricks in a pallette. She was rude, obnoxious, and dissed me totally. I went to the front desk to complain, and I was told I was correct. I went back to Dianne and she told me again in her snotty manner that I was wrong.​ She should be fired. I spent almost $3500 in Home Depot between yesterday and today, and I will NOT be treated like Dianne treated me. If they want to hire nasty people like her, I can go other places to shop. read more

Melinda was fantastic! We came there seeking tile for a bathroom and we know nothing about tile at all. We shopped for a bit and were beyond confused by all the kinds/sizes/styles and we were just about to leave empty-handed when Melinda came over. She was so kind and helpful. She explained tile to us and showed us many options and she was never pushy. When we decided on something we liked, she went and got a flat cart for me to load it all on and she went OUTSIDE into the cold (it was under 30 degrees) to get it! Then she led me the way to a desk where we paid at that desk. We did not have to go through a typical line, it was much better and more private to pay at a desk. Melinda is a great asset to Home Depot and we will be back again because we know there are people like her there. Give her a raise! read more

We contracted through Home Depot for a bathroom remodel. Signed a contract in October to have our bathroom completed in October. They called 2 days before construction was to begin and said we would be delayed until March because their vendor did not have a part. We were never contacted by them so in March I contacted them and they said the part was still not there and could not give us a time for installation. I was passed from employee to multiple supposed supervisors with no answers. They could not even tell me what part was missing. Frustrated, angry and out TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, I went to my local HOME DEPOT where the project originated. The also tried to blow me off. I continued to escalate until I reached the store manager. Still no answers from HOME DEPOT, no time from HOME DEPOT. DO NOT USE REMARKABLE INSTALLATIONS AND DO NOT CONTRACT THROUGH HOME DEPOT. You are not safe from being misled, delayed, given the run around or lack of accountability even if you think you are working with a legitimate company like HOME DEPOT. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!! read more

I buy a tremendous amount of product from Home Depot on an annual basis. Almost like an addiction....... Recently I special ordered a custom set of shutters from Home Depot and was charged by the store immediately. When the woman came to measure for the shutters she warned me that some orders were taking as long as 8 weeks. After not hearing anything for eight weeks, I went to my local Home Depot to inquire about the order. They told me that they just charge me for the product , but someone else not associated with the store has to be called to find out the status of the order. They offered to call the other person for me, but that's the best that they could do. I really expected better customer service. I guess I'll have to start making the trip to Lowe's in Murphy. Out of curiosity I added up my Home Depot purchases for the last 12 months--in excess of $30,000. Wow. read more

Went there this morning to get potting soil which was outside next to the parking lot. They had about 5 different brands, in several sizes each. As I approached the area, a rude employee yelled at me, "You can not enter the store here, one entrance only"! I explained I wanted to look at potting soil. The response again was, "No entrance, if you want potting soil pay for it then show me the receipt"! So when I tell the cashier "potting soil", she is going to ask "what brand, what size"? This morning I went to the Blairsville Home Depot store with the intent of buying two ceiling fans and whatever else I liked but really didn't need as is usually the case when I enter these hardware wonderlands. I found the fans and some other items and went to check out. I mention this not only because I'm proud to have served but It's relevant to my experience today. I am a Viet Nam era vet who served as a paratrooper with the 82d Airborne Division. I get to the checkout, show my VA card to a young lady and she says they don't except that card??? I told her that the Blue Ridge store does, Lowes does, Home Depots in MN, IL and FL do. She says sorry, I leave the cart where it is and head to the truck in a Veteran's parking spot. From the car I call the store and ask for the manager...I got a woman claiming to be the assistant manager. Told her my experience and to say she was sympathetic and/or apologetic would be an overstatement. She obviously was bothered I dare question the policy and there was no thanks for you service, sorry that's the way it is at this store etc. A business person she was not. I immediately headed to Blue Ridge store. Got exactly what I left at Blairsville spending $300 plus my discount and as always top notch service. My wife was happy with the fans and I will never, ever go back to this Blairsville Home Depot store. Somehow I don't really think they care. read more

Be careful when ordering building supplies in advance from this location! A week in advance I ordered a bunch of supplies for a couple of home improvement projects we were having a contractor do, and they assured me that everything was in stock and set for delivery in a week. Yet literally the morning of the day it was all supposed to be delivered they called to tell me they were out of stock of the most important item, the one thing we absolutely had to have to get the project started on time and for the quoted price. Apparently even though I had ordered in advance they didn't set aside or mark it in any way in their system about my order and sold out in the meantime, which to me is a terrible system. Not notifying me until the day of delivery just compounded the problems for me, as I had to scramble to find replacements at the very last minute. Thankfully Ace Hardware in Blue Ridge not only had the items in stock but was able to accommodate us with same day delivery. I guess I should've gone there to start with, and I know where I'm going from now on for any similar orders in the future. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 was that the employee who originally took my order (Tom) was incredibly helpful and helped me find appropriate substitutes when needed, and the out-of-stock issue was out of his control. read more

I've been in a few times lately and each time the management is always standing near the corner in the back gossiping about the day to day store operations. These people have "assistant manager" on their apron, so I am NOT mistaken about who they are. One was "Danny". I recall his name most because he flat out told another manager if "employees don't like it, the Builders First down the road is hiring"... I call it gossiping because they are saying UNFLATTERING things about employees and CUSTOMERS, basically implying that customers in general are dishonest. If that is really your opinion, you should probably not be in retail, or at a minimum discussing it openly where customers can hear you. RUDE! I'd hate to be an employee here. Needed some lumber for a project, thought I would visit the Blairsville location. Once inside, near the plywood area, no prices were on several items. I observed 3 employees standing in the area of the rear door, as I started walking toward them to ask a question, all 3 of these guys took off in different directions. When he did get to work he rudely pushed his cart pass me and bumped my purse off my arm. No apologies whatsoever. i bought a 2 year warranty on an electric pressure washer and now they tell me, when i brought the pressure washer in because it had quit working that i had to pay an additional $18 (refundable if the repair isn't over a $100.) so just why in the heck did i purchase a warranty??? Poor quality merchandise! Horrible customer service! Terribly understocked! Never will I again darken the door. If I could could give less than one star I would! Not only have they sold me two complete lemons in riding lawn mowers, Both were Cub Cadet brand and both complete engine failures. Conveniently enough for Home Depot, as it turned out both failures occurred just past the cut off dates for the warranties! Only missing the cut off dates for the manufacturer warranty by mere days, perhaps a month tops! I do understand this to be a problem best addressed by the manufacturer and specifically with the Engine manufacture, however I feel this does speak to the integrity of a large chain. It definitely indicates a, "Profit Before Quality" mentality which is all to common in our wonderful, greed infected, modern America. If all that wasn't enough this particular location never has anything I inquire about in stock! This last and quite honestly, most likely final visit was to simply browse their selection of home security cameras. I didn't have high expectations walking in mind you but I was close buy and killing some time anyway. I will give them a nod for their constancy, their constancy in exceeding, exceeding to deliver customer service below my already extremely low expectations! After inquiring the location of their home security section, home security cameras in particular, I was informed that they do not stock home security items and definitely carried no cameras of any kind and that I would have to look online to find an item as exotic and unusual as a, "Home Security" camera! I even received the, "Man! You Are Dumb For Asking That," look complete with a complementary rolling of the eyes for my trouble. I immediately raised the white flag in surrender and dejectedly left the store. I give up, I give up on this location certainly, if not possible, this entire chain as a whole! read more
