I found someone about half store away who had to find someone to use the lift ladder. Both men were fairly nice but not overly friendly. Ordered a shower with glass doors online on 4/15 and was told it would be delivered in 2 days. Only a small box with the drain cover came in andI was informed the shower would arrive 4/21 but then postponed to 4/23. In the meantime the old shower was removed so no one can shower; now the delivery has been postponed again! It is a horrific experience to try to call because each and ever associate transfers you to another person who then transfers you again and they all tell you a different story! We popped in to get keys made. We went to the self service key maker. Put our key into the machine to duplicate it. We did all our selections made the keys and I took off the little burrs. We went to see about some screwdrivers. On our way we came upon another key making area. Yet this one had a human being running it!!!! He was a dollar cheaper per key, if only I knew!!! Came in to get a can one paint on a Saturday. There was one guy working the paint counter. At 12:55 the guy working the counter walked away, time for his break, he said someone else would be come up to help. There were 3 people behind me in line at the counter. After like 5 minutes some other guy wanders up to the counter, by then there were 2 more people waiting. I wanted to get a manager but didn't want to lose my spot in line. He should have called and got someone up there before he walked away. read more

This particular location is managed terribly. I was directed here yesterday for help with a water heater issue by the online rep because my order was processed through the store. Customer service employee and manager were disengaged and useless. Had to force them to call online rep and look at the order comments together. Initially they were not going to do this until it was apparent I wasn't leaving until they did. Here's the best part, I had to call the online team again, was advised again I needed to go to the store for help and the rep advised that I make the store call in while I was there. I explained I was calling from the store parking lot and had just done that but that I had to force the issue to get it done. This is not my first negative experience at this physical location. It is simply poorly managed. I'll be headed to the Lowes across the street from now on for any major appliance, tool, or equipment purchases. This purchase was done through the installer so I wound up dealing with this store. If for some reason I wind up at Home Depot because they have an item Lowes doesn't stock, it will be a different location. Stay away from this terrible store in East Brandon. read more

I recently helped my 90 year old sister purchase a new Refrigerator. We found exactly what she was looking for at the price point she could afford. Our experience took a turn for the worse as we attempted to complete our purchase. We attempted to complete the transaction at regular checkout twice, before being asked to go to Customer Service because they couldn't see the order Glen (Appliances) put in the system. Once we got to Customer Service, they found the order. My sister attempted to pay with her check, then was told the check didn't go through. I then offered to pay via credit card. Jessic, Sales Associate, was really trying to help.l along with Katie. After three attempt with my card, one attempt with sister's check and two attempts at the regular check out over a 90 minute period, they referenced they were having issues with a new POS system. The called IT on the phone several times while trying to process the order. I asked for a Manager as it that point, I felt they should be aware and to share our experience. Then Babak, Associate Manager arrived. He was very condescending and disrespectful in his tone when speaking to me. My 90 year old sister sat in amazement. The issue escalated quickly, because of his tone. Not once with Glen, Jessica or Katie had the situation got beyond a whisper and genuine concern to help us. Finally, the order went through. We were not offered anything for our horrible experience which lasted over 2 hours when you add in the shopping time. We passed a half dozen Home Depot's to get to this store because my sister wanted to give Lowe's the business. Going forward, I am certain she will not have me drive her there given this experience. For me, it was a 30 minute commute to pick her up, 30 minute commute to the store and back home an additional hour, so a four experience. Stay away from this store unless you are paying cash. Certainly, I would stay away from the assistant store manager. He needs customer service training!!! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Purchased a new dishwasher with delivery and installation on 7/6. It's now 7/22 and it's still not installed. The associate in the store, who was a super nice guy told me not to accept delivery unless it is connected and the old unit is hauled away. I took a day off from work and when the delivery guys arrived they told me they didn't have a plumber with them... Why pay for delivery/installation if you don't have the right people to complete the job?! I then followed up with Home Depot, they told me they scheduled a plumber to come out today to complete the delivery and installation. The delivery guys showed up and again told me the plumber hasn't been scheduled. It has now been over 2 weeks without a dishwasher and Home Depot doesn't care at all. I will never purchase anything from them again.. This takes the cake as the worst customer service I have ever encountered. RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! read more

Was in this location had a whole hot water heater and supplies ordered for pickup and had to pick up a few other things was gonna be about $1000 order in total. While grabbing a few other thing waiting for the pickup order to get ready I was helped by a older Spanish lady seeing if they had something in stock that wasn't on the shelf. She scanned it with her handheld immediately said no and walked away before I could ask where the substitute item I knew would work for me was. This is not how you treat paying customers when there is plenty of competitors in the area for what I needed. Whoever is running this location needs to visit at night. Majority of parking lot lights off which is a MAJOR safety issue for guests. Once inside stood at the paint section while two workers chatted away, they must have been on break. Have had the same result numerous times at this location with not a single associate acknowledging us. Guess they don't care because people, like me, keep shopping there. I went in today around 5:30. The store looked extremely cluttered as if they were remodeling except they are not remodeling. I was greeted by a few employees as they passed me which was nice. NO checkouts open except self service. Only 3 out of 4 of the kiosks were working. Only 1 girl who was overwhelmed by a customer who was struggling with the self serv process, I guess his items were not scanning - 2 other people waiting for her to override their registers for some reason and here I stand with 3 people waiting for our turn. Not a manager in sight. I left my cart, walked over to the customer service desk and told the girl, she offered to ring me up right away (which was super) however I did not feel it was right to cut in front of the other people so I left my shopping cart and went to a competitor where I should have gone in the first place. read more

Update to my first review this place is horrible don't know why I came back, the staff literally couldn't find a screw driver to take a piece of my grill off so I could load it. I don't know if the lady was a manager or staff member but the person named Selime had a horrible attitude and told me I should have brought my own tools. That is ridiculous and I will probably go as far as making a consumer complaint. I will just continue going to Lowe's where employees are helpful and don't just stand around and say someone else is doing what they should be doing. We came in to make a large flooring purchase. A Home Depot coupon I had been saving had expired. The customer service refused to honor the coupon so my friend called for on duty manager and though he didn't honor the full 10% discount he gave us substantial one which made me feel good as their customer. The worse experience you could ever have, This probably the worse night mare in my whole life, I don't want to give them don't even one star I got a brand new air conditioning from Home Depot in brandon Florida,Polar Bear is the third company they used to install the air conditioning unit, the first week they have to come back to weld the unit because it was losing the Freon, the unit started cooling again, here we are a couples weeks later the unit is not cooling,called polar bear ,didn't get respond went to Home Depot they told me polar bear will be calling me back , to wait during the day, I will be getting a call,didint got a call, went back to Home Depot talked to asst Mgr Alfredo, he promise me they will called me back the next morning, didint got a call, went back the next day to Home Depot now upset, the store Mgr was in a conference call, she couldn't talk to us, we ask for the district Mgr phone number, (Jake)we called him, haven't got an answer yet from him, so Home Depot is Not responsible for nothing. Yesterday polar bear showed up and told us , they installed the wrong unit and we will have to wait until Tuesday to get the unit replace, so we will have two weeks now with not air conditioning.So we paying for a unit that is not working.Extremely disappointing with Home Depot and their service at brandon Florida. I went in today to buy rope. When I got back to my car, the battery had died and my car wouldn't start! I went inside and asked for help, and not only did they use their own jumper cables, but an associate took the time to use the home depot truck to do the jump, and got my car started again. Very disappointed with their customer service. I called, talked to a representative, was transferred to appliances, waited for someone to answer, someone answered and hung up on me. I called back and was transferred to appliances, plumbing answered. It was 6:50 pm, they close at 8. The woman from plumbing proceeds to tell me that there is no one in appliances because they are closing and the man from appliances left st 7. I looked at the clock...it was 6:50. She says, I mean he left at 6 and we are understaffed and we are going to be closing. She said she didn't think Lenny was there. Low a behold, here comes Lenny and she asks him if he can take an order for an appliance. He said he could. So instead of transferring me to Lenny, the woman covers the phone and I can hear her and Lenny talking for awhile. She checked to make sure I was still on the line two times(if this gives you any idea of how long I could hear them talking while she had her hand over the phone and the whole time I am waiting to talk to Lenny.) She then said she would transfer me to Lenny. Lenny gets on the phone and I give him the washing machine number and he asks me about disposal of old appliance, extended warranty and installation. I said no to all three. Lenny says it won't be there until June 21, but they don't deliver on Sunday so I can have it delivered on Monday, June 22. I said OK but it has to be late afternoon because I work. Lenny says that he can't do that because the delivery staff call you the night before and give you a 4 hour window of delivery and it is an automated message so you can't even talk to anyone. I said that doesn't work for me because I work and I am not going to sit on my butt not getting paid for 4 hours while I wait waiting for them to make a delivery. Long story short...Lenny and I argue back and forth and I said forget the washing machine. I am sick and tired of these big companies taking my hard earned money for products that are overpriced anyway and then not even having procedures in place to accommodate the customer. Are you kidding me. There is certainly a way that deliveries can be made that satisfies both the customer and the delivery company. Home Depot is a large company and there is no excuse for their lack of customer consideration. I will get the exact same washer from your competitor's store to be picked up at my convenience curbside or delivered at a time that satisfies both of our time constraints. Bottom line...a message requesting a late afternoon delivery was not an unreasonable request. Refusing to forward such a message from the customer on the order form is unreasonable. read more

My visit to Home Depot this past Sunday started very well but sadly ended with annoyance. I was asked by two solicitors in the store if I wanted a water test. I explained, as I have on many visits to the store, I already had the water test. Then, I was literally rushed by two other solicitors who wanted me to sign up for the Home Depot credit card. When I stated I wasn't interested, it should have ended there. Not only was I schooled on how credit scores are determined (which I already knew) but was also annoyingly pressured into opening a line of credit with the store. How many times did I have to explain I didn't want to open a credit card? That question is rhetorical because it was 5 times! Obviously this will not keep me from shopping in the store. However, before my next visit I'm going to have a shirt made that reads on the front: "I already did the water test" and on the back: " No I do not want a Home Depot Credit Card. ( orange shirt of course ;). Based on my last experience I could only give two stars. read more

All of the prior low ratings are true! There is NO Customer Service and I'll tell you why... They used to have 'Specialists' in every department. Well, that does not exist anymore. They hire cheap labor and no one knows anything. There is no excuse for this! I have been to the Riverview location twice. I exploded yesterday and screamed obscenities at the cashier who over charged me. Do not usually act in this manner, but I expected to take 15 minutes. They ran me all over the store for 2 hours. Go to customer service? I did, they chased me away. Back to the lawn center I went. I am sorry, but it is time to get back to reality! We need to live... Went to buy a air tool at your location Valrico Florida I found air hammer that I wish to purchase. Want to get the Chisel for it it did not come with any accessories could not find someone to help me right away after some time I found one of your people and ask him where can I get the Chisel. He did not know start looking for this phone. he says they do not Carrie chisels for that. You're selling a tool but not the parts that you can use it with it's like buying a drill Samuel I have to order the drill bits. We ordered kitchen counters and a bathroom sink. We were told it would be there on the 30th of Nov. On Dec 9 it was still not there and they only blamed others, such as the weather, the holidays, the workers...anything but they would not take responsibility. Then later we ordered the kitchen counters and they told us it would take 2 weeks. After 2 weeks they told us it would take another 2 weeks. By then we planned around them and now we don't have a kitchen to use. But this company lied to us, was extremely rude and then told us it's not their fault. So, so far all the companies that Home depot hires are terrible companies. Also the customer service is horrible at the home depot because they only look to blame the customer or others. Horrible experience at this Home Depot. Recently purchased a fixer upper home, so Home Depot has been my favorite store lately. I've spend over $15k in the last two months at this location. Today I went to return a light fixture I purchased because it stopped working after 2 weeks. Had my receipt and the original box it came in. I explained to the lady at the returns counter that it simply stopped working she advised me that she had to call an employee in the electrical dept. to look at it before accepting the return. This was not a problem at all and seems to be a normal store process, however the woman that came over was extremely rude and unprofessional. Her name was Consulo, I explained to her that I insulted was weeks old and it just stopped working. She looked at it and said really 2weeks. This looks like bits and pieces of an old and new fixture. I reminded her this was an outdoor fixture, which common sense would tell u living in FL the color would fade being in the heat. The fixture faded on the top were the sun directly hits it and the bottom didn't fade because it doesn't get direct sun or rain. She looked at me and said I'm not arguing with you but this isn't 2 weeks old and there is no way a fixture 2 weeks old would look like this. Then turned to the cashier and told her go ahead and return it. She accused me of returning an older item. I know there are dishonest people in this world but I would never do that and I didn't deserve to be treated like crap or talked down to. If Consulo thought it was an older item simply say I'm sorry we cant return this because it's been use I would have said ok. The treatment I've received from this one individual has made me never want to deal with Home Depot again. Save the frustration and go across the street to Lowes. read more

This used to be my favorite store. I have gone in recently for several different items and it is just disgusting. The store is dirty and looks like a wholesale clearance store. Boxes of products just everywhere, on the floor, knocked over on shelves. The manager must be a slob because he/she would not allow this to go on otherwise. I walked around and looked for someone to help, and could not find anyone in 9 different areas, I had to go to the front of the store to returns to find someone. This was at 4:00 pm in a Thursday. Lowes is just cleaner and better organized. I used to force the extra 5 miles to go to Home Depot, but no more. It's a shame! I walked in Lowes across the street and was greeted by an employee that walked me through the very clean and organized store directly to what I was looking for, and was gone in 5 minutes. read more

I have also seen their prices are better than their competitors. Home depot also has equipment that I have not been able to find at their competitors as well. Normally, I love & support Home Depot. They're typically a strong supporter of veterans. However, I just left Home Depot & was refused the most simplest of military discounts because I had my Drivers Lisc that had my verified military service embossed on it. I'm a little surprised, since that's one of the whole points of the dmv putting this on your license. So you don't have to carry around a military ID card, or your dd214. The cashier actually said that my drivers Lisc & dd214 was ok. I'm scratching my head on this one. It may sound so ridiculous to some. Surely, she could've touched base with a supervisor. Instead, with a line of customers she simply refused. It's not even the discount that bothers me, it's the way it was handled. read more

I figured for the first miss, that maybe I had done something wrong on line in setting up the appointment, so we went into the store on Brandon Blvd next to Wal-Mart and did ANOTHER appointment in person. Same result-no show, no call. To top it off, when I called both Home Depot's 800 number AND the Brandon store and spoke to individiuals to complain, I was told from both locations that someone would call me back to discusss what had happened.
