Tip: tool rental area is on the far right side of the building under the Contractor Pickup area. We came in since we needed to rent tools for our business. It was an easy pickup process, the attendant was helpful in selecting the right tools and we paid a $25 deposit. The quality of the tools were good and we returned it without any issues. read more

Cordless Battery Hedge Trimmer (Tool Onl.. with a big "Return to Cart" button. only to find it was still the same price. Asked in Chat they told me sorry there isn't a sale on that item. Of course, I could see on the website it wasn't on sale. Kind of a Bait and Switch situation going here. If it wasn't a lower price then why send an email saying so?! They should've offered a discount at that point, but all they would do was apologize for the confusion. I wasn't confused, it was obviously a lie. read more

Dear Home Depot business manager who replied to my comment to avoid Home Depot kitchen and bathroom remodel services. FYI, The only way you could improve your whole process is to completely change your entire business model. The way the process is currently designed with the people involved doesn't yield positive results. The person who measured all our kitchen and bathroom cabinets got all the measurements wrong therefore all the cabinets and doors came in wrong. Plus they forgot to order the 3 new sinks I needed. The new hardware ordered for the cabinets were the wrong size. The person who did the measurements works for Home Depot. His name is Ernesto. The only way to solve this problem is for customers to completely avoid this service provided by Home Depot. The damage is done. HD employees are already doing the best they can to resolve the errors and omissions. But when you can't get the measurements correct to start with there is no hope for HD services in this particular error. I do not wish to be contacted by the Home Depot business manager. I cannot believe that this store makes any money at all! Every order comes in either damaged, missing pieces or it came in but they can't find it. I ordered a stair bannister. The connector sent directly to me arrived in less than a week. The bannister finally arrived 1month later to the store. The box had been opened, they just taped it up. When I opened the box all of the items necessary to install the bannister were missing. My only option according to HD is to return it all and start over!! This happens to every order that goes to the store rather than my home. Oh, and all managers are in a meeting. read more

"I had a very disappointing experience with the cashier name Maria from the garden department during my visit to this Home Depot. From the moment I approached the register, she was rude, dismissive, and acted as if helping me was an inconvenience. She didn't greet me, didn't make eye contact, and spoke with an attitude the entire time. Her behavior made the checkout process uncomfortable and unprofessional. Terrible customer service. I went in with my two kids (one of which is a baby strapped to my chest) because I needed lumbar and for it to be cut into pieces. I had asked two employees for help and both advised me to use the self service saw....with a baby strapped to my chest. Both unprofessional and a huge safety risk. They could improve everything. They can't get anything right. Ordered a delivery for bulk qty of mulch, weed screen, sealer, etc. made the purchase Friday based on committed next day (5/25/24). All communication was holding, then Sunday I spoke with store EE. She tried to have it delivered Monday. But it's slid to 6/3/24. I HAD to call to find out what's the status. Spent an hour chasing my purchase. Every couple of years, I forget my pledge to never shop here again. Gonna get a tattoo on my hand: "Don't Depot". I rented a power washer. I got home and tried to use it. Turns out the spray nozzle they rented to me was defective and I had to turn around and go back to the store for another one. When I went to return the equipment, I mentioned the defective sprayer and asked for a small discount to make up for it. The guy at the rental counter looked at me like I was trying to pull a trick on him, and flatly refused to lower the bill. Really disappointed in the customer service. Honestly, the guy could have knocked $10 off the bill (which was $180 so not a big percentage) and I would have been happy. I went to the paint department looking for items to repair , reapply the popcorn look to the stucco and repaint the wall outside my home this kid Oliver knows her stuff...she explain the product and gave me tips on how to apply these items and not once did she ever pause when I asked varies questions to my project. It's like she has done this for years...most clerks have to pause to think of the right response to answer which I'm not faulting...but when she explain...it was like talking to a old pro. thank you Oliver for taking the time to help me understand these items. read more

Came here to get an Ac. I had probably the best customer service I ever ever had. Seriously couldn't believe how top tier the night crew was. I also want to thank that sweet girl that helped me. Idk her name but she wore glasses and she was so peppy. Also, the guy that helped me get the ac on the dolly. Just legit so helpful. Alfredo, older man probably in his 70's I think. This review is specifically for their window blinds install process. For the store itself, I'd give it 4 stars. The employees you can get ahold of are pretty good. However, Home Depot needs to decouple itself from Beautiful Blinds for window installation. Reached out for a measurement and quote from Home Depot on their website. Beautiful Blinds did show up for the measurement, but they never sent the measurements to HD. Neither HD nor I can get them on the phone. I'm guessing Beautiful Blinds take the $50 fee and just do that for their business? It's absurd, and the many bad reviews here on Beautiful Blinds should tip them off. 9/8/25 and still 0 contact from Home Depot. Restoration company came out today and had to remove walls, ceilings, and floors. I'll have to hire someone to remove the rest of the flooring in order to install all new flooring in the laundry room and guest bathroom as it would be impossible to match the old stone tile. Seems I will be without a washer and access to the only downstairs bathroom for several months. I board dogs and have had to cancel all clients until further notice as there is nowhere to walk with my washer and dryer in the middle of my living room. Soon the toilet will join them when the rest of the floor is removed. Called HD again today and was once again told the claims examiner was out of the office. Not only is this an outrageous inconvenience, but it is costing me business. All I needed was a new washer. How is it possible HD hires people with such a level of incompetence that they can destroy one's home? When dealing with Home Depot, be very, very cautious as to who they send into your home. Ask questions and monitor every move they make. Hopefully it will save you the horror I am experiencing. read more

This is my neighborhood Home Depot and I have had good experiences through the years. One reason why I am a fan of this Home Depot is that it is consistently well organized. Whether you are visiting the lumber department or garden center you will be able to quickly find what you need. The Truck and Tool Rental Center is also very useful. I have rented trucks of different sizes and the prices were very reasonable. I attempted to rent a van on one occasion but wasn't pleased that it looked to have been used to transport plants by the previous renter. You can find pretty much anything you need for your household project here. They offer aerators, tillers, skid steers, chainsaws, etc. I plan to do a four hour rental of one of their aerators in a few weeks. Another benefit of visiting this Home Depot is that you can get in and out fairly quickly. Even during this time of the Coronavirus it is pretty smooth sailing to get in, find what you need and then pay up. If you're in Eastlake and need something for your home project stop by and check out this Home Depot. read more

Is competence, attention to detail, and high quality customer service to ask for? The service provided by Evelyn and Andrea at the Customer Service desk was less than subpar. Andrea is supposed to be the Lead and she looked at Evelyn, when I told her atleast she could have apologized for making an error instead of trying to blame me. That is not leadership and she should be retrained. That is NOT service!!! Went to return an item I purchased online. I had purchased a number of things from Home Depot so I had plenty order numbers. I gave her one to look up and instead of checking that the item was in fact the item being returned, she returned the wrong item. Thank God I looked at my receipt or I would have been out over $90. I should have went somewhere else because Home Depot scores really bad with me twice. Now I am lost and helpless because I bought a fridge and there is no telling if the same thing will happen again. No integrity at all those delivery drivers! I called their 1-800 and they are just as bad in the customer service area. I ordered a fridge that was supposed to be delivered today. No call nothing. When I called to follow up they said the driver said they tried to call and they didn't get an answer. They said they waited 15 minutes and left. I was at my house the whole time with my phone in my hand. This is ridiculous! Now my food is going to go bad because I don't have a fridge. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HOME DEPOT AT ALL! I always regret ordering online here for curbside pickup. Not only does it take a minimum of 15 minutes once you get there, it doesn't take into account that I used the app and also let them know I was on my way. More than once I've had to call a manager to say I was there for 25 minutes waiting after checking in. Then, the staff are so rude, as if you are just in the way. The best Home Depot in Chula Vista is off H St. The employees are prompt, friendly and helpful. No sense giving the Eastlake store another chance, they are never going to change. read more

First time I used their curbside pick up and the experience was horrible. Followed all the prompts via the app and waited for ten minutes before I went inside to see what was going on and all I got were excuses. The end result was once the order was finally pulled, palletized and loaded into my truck 40 minutes had elapsed. Kind of defeats the purpose of the whole process of ordering online and messaging system to save time. The second time around was 180 degrees different! I didn't even have time to lower my tailgate before someone came out to greet me and direct me to where my truck would be loaded! Forklift was ready and waiting. 6:30pm 4/17/25 (store practically empty): Overall complaint: zero attention given to customers by sales staff. I somewhat struggled with sorting through railroad ties, as most of them were either damaged or sorely cracked. I managed to find 3. I placed them on a flat cart. The garden attendant passed by me twice with no offer to help. I struggled somewhat to push the cart, passing by 1 staff, then two more (who were chatting with each other) on my way to find the cashier (garden area closed). At that point, it struck me that not 1 (our of 4) staff noticed me or offered any kind of assistance. I made my way to the cashier, wondering if he was going to offer help to my vehicle. so I waited without asking for it directly. He checked out the items without any offer. This business failed 100% at basic customer service. The lack of attention was so blatant, I had to call the store as I was loading the rails in my car. I repeated my experience and added: "How do you stay in business?" Poor customer service is a failure of management and training. I had a similar experience at the HD on H Street, Chula Vista, years ago, and have never returned to that location. read more
