This review is for the shipping process at Home Depot, it sucks, its unreliable. I was told when I ordered my item it was to be delivered on 12-6-24; it didnt show up then it changed to delayed will be delivered 12-9-24,; still wasnt delivered; says delayed. The company they use for delivery which is ONTRAC is horrible. I will never use Home Depots shipping option ever again. I will just have it delivered to the store. Im am glad this wasnt for a gift and I needed it when it said it was to be delivered. read more

I shop at this Home Depot quite frequently. They usually have what I need, but it's always hard to find what you're looking for and associates tend to ignore you. My stop today was to look for a sink cap to replace a kitchen sink sprayer since I bought a new faucet that includes the sprayer in the spout. I began my search in plumbing, but quickly realized it would most likely be near the faucet area. I navigated to the back of the store to the kitchen section and found the faucets. There were three associates and none acknowledged me as I search for a good 5 minutes. I finally asked an associate as she was hurrying by if she knew where they were. She just said in the aisle on a hanging clip. So, I walked back down the aisle toward the end and saw them. A good tip is to look on the Home Depot website before you head to the store. It will tell you how many of what you need are in stock and which aisle it's located in. I usually do this and it's easy to navigate the store when I know where I'm headed. This latest trip was last minute so I knew I'd be searching a bit for what I needed. Overall, I like this store. Parking lot is a bit of a mess, but I can usually get in and out pretty quickly. I've only run into a few occasions where this store did not have what I needed and I had to order online from Amazon. I also do find the staff not as helpful as when I'm in Lowe's. read more

I really don't understand this . They open at 6am . I'm coming to purchase materials to build a 20X20 deck . I get there at 6:30 with list in hand . The cashier Katie calls the manager to met us down the isle . When the manager comes he says we need to go to the pro desk and get a printout. Go back to Katie and she says there is no one working and to come back at 8 . Another associate overheard her and pulled me to the side and said let him find me help cause she shouldn't of said that . Kurtis comes to help . I show him the list and he pulls half my order and proceeds to leave to go help another customer (white man) . I ask Kurtis why would he stop helping me to help someone else . He stood there looking lost and blew his breath and said ,"y'all are working me " . I asked Katie for the manager again and she replied "You just talked to him " read more

They tend to have a "dirtier" feel than Lowe's. They had what I needed, but it did take me a while to figure out where everything was. Front of the store looked dirty too (maybe from all the mud covered rental equipment) I used to view Home Depot as like the Target compared to Lowe's/ Walmart. But, Lowe's has been consistent and HD seems to not invest as much money back into their stores. When possible I drive the further distance to the Lowe's. read more

I rented a wood chipper and it only worked a few minutes before a pulley broke. Had to return it and there was no other one available. My contract was voided so there was no cost aside of the wasted gas, time and effort. read more

Went into the store this evening about 7 PM looking to order some custom blinds there were two employees working in the flooring Department which handles blinds . After 20 to 25 minutes of looking over different blind options neither employee acknowledged me one was cutting blinds and the other one was on the phone , I asked the employee who was cutting blinds was there another associate that may be able to assist me. He pointed me towards the front desk and still had and knowledge me nor my concerns . As I went to the front desk the associate continued to talk on the phone he never knowledge me or let me know he'll be right with me as soon as he could. A complete waste of my time. read more

My experience 4pm Sunday (2020-05-03): - No social distancing - Only 1 in 4 wearing mask (to protect others) - Of the 3 in 4 not wearing mask, one lady was coughing uncontrollably throughout store. This has been the WORST curbside pickup I have ever experienced. After 30 MINUTES I called the store and talked with the manager. Ten minutes after that my order finally came out. The manager even tried to gaslight me and tell me that when I had call I'd only told staff I was on my way. I never called. I had a pallet of shingles delivered on 7/26/2019 and when I got there, my brand new garage door was destroyed. There were scrapes going down the driveway and an enormous dent the exact size and shape of the pallet of shingles. I made a claim with Home Depot and they passed me on to their insurance company who passed me on to XPO, the delivery company. Since I wasn't there during the delivery and the driver denies breaking my door, they are all saying they have no responsibility. I have two contractors who will verify that the door was fine and functional the evening before. It would be an amazing coincidence if something else made the same size and shape damage on the exact same day as the delivery. Please. I paid Home Depot for the delivery. They did not even mention a different company would be delivering. They were the ones who chose the company and facilitated the delivery. They should reimburse me. I'm out nearly $1000 because Home Depot won't back their contractors. read more

We're here a lot. Home Depot and to a lesser extent, Lowes are our go-to stores for home improvement supplies. Today was not much different than any other trip here, but I do wish they'd work out the kinks for helping people get through the self check out line. Two people couldn't figure it out. The instructions are fairly simple, but first timers often have problems and the helper just rushes them through without educating them for the next time. For this reason, they get one less star than they would have otherwise. Of course, I'll be back soon. read more

I am soooo disappointed with Home Depot. I had high expectations. they had to come to house 4 different times 1-measurement which was incorrect. 2-put carpet in but couldn't finish because of time 3-came to finish but didn't have enough 4-finish putting carpet. This process started November 15 and I called almost every week. They kept saying someone will call you back. February 11 they offered $150 I said that's not even 10% so someone was to call me back again. March 2 I received a Final offer type notice of $150 and they want me to sign to release them of any responsibilities. I had to take off work 4 times unexpectedly and you want to give me $150 for the inconvenience. If I could I would return everything based on customer service. Worst ever. read more

Visited this Home Depot off of Colerain avenue in search of a washer and dryer set. I have to admit, it's been a long time since I've visited a store with so many workers who apparently despise their job. I now remember why I always shopped Lowe's instead. I walked in with my wife and she picked out the models she liked the best... Then spent about 15c minutes waiting for someone to come to help us middle the purchase. Finally, a woman walked up and my wife had to go begin the conversation. Lord knows the worker wasn't going to, no one else in the store had yet either. My wife asked the woman if she worked in the appliance section. The woman shrugged her shoulders and said "sometimes"... My wife and I both looked at her confused as we were really hoping for a pro at appliances, since that's what home depot advertises. Instead of a pro, we got a part time shoulder shrugger. After asking about the appliances and getting the price agreed on (we had a coupon we had to ask about)... We were finally ready to go when another worker came out of the wood work. This worker came up and said something to the woman in a whisper. Then joined in on the conversation we were having. My wife explained how happy she was to finally be ready to leave. By this time we had been in the store for almost an hour. We handed the coupon to the woman and the man chimed in letting us know that our coupon couldn't be used because the appliances had a sale price. The woman and the man then had a conversation that I couldn't hear. Then he reiterated that it wasn't allowed in policy to use coupons on sale items. The woman who had been helping us stood quietly. I was blown away by not only the lack of friendliness or help we had experienced up until this point... But now I was astonished at the ignorance and lack of compassion of tree workers. According to this man, they weren't going to honor the pricing that the woman had given us (it was a difference of only about $50). Irritated at the experience and having wasted our morning, my wife told them never mind. She told them we would just the make the purchase at lowes instead. The man and woman both smiled and said "okay" then walked off from us. Maybe the man whispered that he was going to get rid of us because it was break time... Because after that they disappeared. I was okay with going to Lowe's for the appliances, but I told my wife I wanted to get some electrical parts for a home project. Long story short I picked up the wire nuts and outlets that I needed (again with no one in sight) and I went to tyre checkout. The outlets rang up at a different price than what was on the shelf and the machine wouldn't read the bar code on another item. I had to walk over and get the cashier because she wasn't paying attention to the registers... Well unless of course she could see them on get phone. Once she came over she just looked at me and raised her eye brows... As if I had interpreted her some how. Eventually, she got me rang out... But I'll never go back to home depot with a purchase again. I can't understand how a company like this manages to stay open. read more

I usually come here instead of going to Lowe's because they cost less. I have found the employees are really nice and extremely helpful in the store and would recommend the store to anyone. I found you have to check and see how long somebody's worked there and kind of make sure they know what they talking about before you get advice, but again very helpful people And most of them that I've talk to did know what they were talking about. read more

Always my first choice in Cincinnati for a big-box hardware store. Staff are very friendly, generally available, and willing to help. When busy, they at least acknowledge your presence, and offer to send someone else. Selection and quality of plants in garden center could be improved, but about average for a big box retailer. On the hardware side they generally have what I need in stock and where I can easily reach it. The few items I've had to exchange have been handled without an issue. Note that this review refers to the Joseph Rd store in Colerain. By contrast, I can never find help at the Kennedy/Ridge Rd store (or find them but they say "I'm too busy right now" without offering to come back and help or find someone else; this when I was looking for assistance loading $350 worth of insulation onto my cart) and items I need are often out of stock, not carried, or left in overstock areas out of my reach. Also, I prefer the selection and some of the more unique products carried by Menards, but until they make their way to Cincinnati Home Depot on Joseph will be my choice. read more

I bought a new refrigerator here (for roughly $1050). First, it was marked up by about $200. I called for a price match and Home Depot did it. OK, good. The problem is that the refrigerator was delivered FOUR TIMES and each time there was a giant gash on the side--even the fourth time when they promised "white glove" delivery. Obviously four deliveries of a damaged product--during a pandemic--is extremely disruptive and just plain crazy. I called to have them give me a credit for the extreme trouble this caused. They gave me $175 and wouldn't give more because they had already given me a deduction of $200. That was for a price match, I said, and not this issue. They were completely unwilling to do anything about this insane situation of FOUR deliveries of damaged, gashed refrigerators. I kept the fourth delivery because the gash was small and covered by the cabinets, but my goodness what a shit show. They also kept blaming Whirlpool instead of their own (contracted) delivery team of goons. What a fucking joke. I will never do business with them again and will order the rest of the matching appliances from Best Buy. read more

Hired Home depot to do siding. Complete nightmare! Listened for two hours about how home depot won't do me like contractors. I was first scheduled for Oct 5, then rescheduled Oct 22. On October 22, no call no show. So now I have to call them, I push them to give me a date, finally agree to show up Nov 2. Nov 2 comes siding crew is there, project manager doesn't show up till 11:00, 1/2 day wasted, work the next day, then two days of no show no call. Then it turns in to just like dealing with contractors, excuses and no one can tell me when they show up again. When I get really upset and start wanting to talk to bosses, they pull a big baby move and say they can't deal with me, because I didn't pay for it (my FIL did, he loaned us money thru his trust and we are paying it back. The house is owned by his trust and will go to my wife when he passes) My FIL and my wife had very strained relations for along time. This blew things up. So I had to deal with contractor like people, and then they dragged into a soap opera with my wife's family. read more
