This is home depot. Luckily I don't do big chores any longer, but for what I need, home health things, fans, or bug killer, bulbs, and a few plants int he summer. Been fixing a lot of toilets and its easy to find the parts, fix it myself. This store was easy for me so not going to advise on customer orders, bad shipments since I don't do heavy work other than summer plants and soil... Most often I don't need someone to help, but when I do, there is someone available on an aisle nearby. Getting in and out is a bear but deal with it. Very crowded during summer. read more

I visited Home Depot on Black Friday to purchase a workbench cabinet for my son-in-law for Christmas. It was extremely busy, and the associate I spoke with told me I could pick it up on Monday after it was assembled. When Monday came and I hadn't received a call, I reached out to the store myself. That's when I was helped by Mellany at Customer Service, and I can't say enough about the outstanding service she provided. No one could locate the order because the associate from Friday had called out sick, but Mellany took ownership of the situation immediately. She arranged for someone to assemble a cabinet for me and kept me updated throughout the process. She also went above and beyond by helping me rent a cargo van so I could deliver the cabinet to my son-in-law. The associates in the rental department were just as helpful--especially Devian, who did an excellent job loading the cabinet and securing it safely in the van. Thank you to Mellany, Devian, and the entire team for turning a stressful situation into a great experience. Outstanding customer service! read more

Let me just run you through my search for some Hostas... Hostas: I walk everywhere and don't see any hostas anywhere. Go to the small indoor section where bulbs are and see two workers. Ask them, they say they work for a different vendor and not HD but they've not seen any bulbs for hostas, doublecheck and they're right. Guy says check outside with ground cover plants. I already did but looked again, nothing. Go to garden center cashier and ask. "I'm just the cashier assigned out here and know nothing about the plants at all, but the guy over there does, he works in garden center." Points to another guy. I go over to him, Do you have any hostas in stock? He replies, "I don't know what that is." I blink a couple times. Tried to explain what they are and he says, "I'm really not sure what's out there. Its all managed by Rebel nurseries. They're here from 8-2 most days, setting stuff out and rearranging things. I know about the rest of the department though." There's a Home Depot in Suwanee that would get a rating from me of a nine on a scale of 1 to 10 in customer service while this store earns a one. Barely. I approached a group of four employees talking in the aisle, and none of them wanted to help me. They pointed at each other and then the one who said she would help me in a minute walked off having a personal conversation with another employee. I had to go find the one employee in the store who actually wanted to help me. She was great but by then I wasn't excited about giving Home Depot my money. I found the item I wanted for $20 cheaper on Amazon and ordered it as I left without doing any shopping at Home Depot. Amazon has it all. I was just there to try to support my local store. If it was mutual that would have been nice. Don't blame Jeff Bezos for taking over the world. Blame bad retail service. read more

Horrible customer service. Made an online purchase for pickup and the app sent my order to this store which is 45 minutes from my house. I attempted to have the order changed to one of the 50 freaking stores between my house and this location but the genius working behind customer service explained to me that this multinational company can't figure out how to make this happen. Evidently one Home Depot is not as good as the rest. This Home Depot obviously doesn't believe in customer service. Home Depot in general suffers from their success they have forgotten the customer in all of this. So if customer service doesn't matter to you then I highly recommend this establishment however if you are looking for a company who still cares about their customers go to Lowe's they definitely treat veterans better. It's not the HD store for me, it's trying to use the credit card they gave me. Each time I tried to make a purchase, I was required to spend close to an hour proving it was me trying to use the card. The last time I tried to use it, today... only 24 days after getting the card, I spent close to an hour trying to prove i was allowed to use the card.. I decided to pay it off in full and I cut up the card in the store. Lowe's has never given me any trouble and the limit was $3000 higher than HD. Like everyone else, I have spent THOUSANDS in that store, I even spent $1300 to wipe out the debt on my card today... I actually sourced a supplier for Milwaukee while I was waiting on the phone for the customer service rep! I was in the store to spend $700, but I left it there in the cart. read more

Recognition!!! This girl deserves it Big Time. After driving around searching for a artificial lighted Christmas Tree, I was told that a store in Swanee store had one and would hold it for me. So we hurried up again and drove to this store and went to customer service as directed. Absolutely no help at all. The gentleman said they NEVER had that tree, and never had any in the T37 category and refused to help any further. We nearly just gave up but decided to call the Dawsonville store and check as we were going the next day. Finally got to Elizabeth in the garden Department. What a breath of fresh air, she went above and beyond to help. She found the tree and personally ordered for me online as I could not due to availability of product. Ordered a refrigerator, they said delivery would be the 6th December. Our delivery time is between 11-3. Fine no problem. We get everthing ready, we are home waiting, garage door up cars in driveway and truck shows up parks on street guy runs up to door doesn't knock or anything then quickly leaves with our refrigerator still on truck. Husband even tried to catch up with him, no luck. We call and told now we have to wait another week! We try to get monies back, they say they can't give money back because we have to physically return a refrigerator we do not have!! seriously! Guy tells dispatch he waiting for 20 minutes. No way when we were here at the time, the whole time with a dog who barks at the wind so I know better! This is horrible customer service and completely ridiculous! My issue is with a vendor they promote in this store. We signed up for AC check. Horrible experience. They had no intention of fixing or Servicing our 2 units. They are there to sell you a completely new system. They claimed that various parts needed replaced. They never even explained why my furnace would not heat. The worst customer service experience ever. Will not use them again. The installers came out and said they couldn't install my microwave because it was under a cabinet above the stove and they left. Many neighbors with same house said there is not problem installing a microwave with this setup. I paid for installation and am getting no answers, no offers to send someone more experienced our here, etc., different people get on the text line that they ask you to contact them on and I have to repeat the whole thing over every time. No one gets back to you when they say they will. Took me hours to finally get to speak to someone to file a complaint on. If they can't install a microwave, I doubt they will be able to install anything else. DO not go to Home Depot!! read more

I ordered a grill cover for a grill I paid over 500.00 dollars for and a grill brush and drip pans . I received a notice my order would ship but not the grill cover , I would have to go to the store to pick it up . Yesterday I went to the store curbside pickup area and followed the instructions to let them know I was outside and received a response we will bring it out . After approximately 20 minutes I sent another message to notify them I was outside and received another we will bring it out . Needless to say that was yesterday and I still haven't had anyone bring it out . Your curbside service leaves a lot to be desired . Awesome customer service! I went in today because the hex nuts that hold my skateboard's wheels in place we're worn down, causing them to fall off. My board is old so I did not have any details on the parts it was manufactured with. Stephanie was amazing and personally took my board and found the exact hex nut size I needed (5/24 inch). I am very grateful because I came into the store clueless, but she was able to identify exactly what I needed! read more

This is my local HD and I have spent thousands of dollars here. I've been frustrated many times at this location because they are constantly understaffed and not always while they are busy. I generally get excellent help from the staff. I went there Friday morning to buy a refrigerator. Not a sales associate in the appliance department to be seen. I shopped for a while and returned. Not a sales associate in the appliance department to be seen. I selected a model and went home. I returned Saturday morning. There are four customers clearly wanting help. Not a sales person in the appliance department to be seen. It was Saturday so it was super busy so I went home empty handed again. Very disappointing customer service. This is clearly a management issue and should not reflect on the fine staff there. read more

People, why do youshop at this store?! Online prices for appliances doesn't match the actual price in the store! When you want to use your coupon, they will not let you use it, since the price was reduced already to match online pricing. It was already my second attempt to purchase refrigerator at this store. I just went across the street to Lowe's, and after just 15 minutes! I walked out with my processed order, matching price online and store, with convenience delivery time, with 10% off and no interest for 12 months. Just that simple. read more

Just got back. Associate didn't think they carried a part for my weed wacker, said i had to order it online, i said the site said it was in stock, he disagreed..i turned around and there it was on the bottom shelf. Good lord. Last week I went in for a tension washer. Two guys insisted they didn't know what I was talking about. Round and round we went till i finally gave up and left. When i got home I pulled up the Home Depot site and there they were in every possible size. Good grief. Two weeks ago HD had a one day sale on LED bulbs. I walked in, didn't see them on the shelf, grabbed an associate who didn't know where they were, who called two other associates over who didn't know either. As i'm walking out empty handed I see them, right by the front door, big display, with a guy waving people over to take advantage of the deal. I give up with these guys. A year ago if you asked me why i shopped at HD instead of Lowes I would have said it was the knowledgeable associates. Last week the Lowes store manager helped me find what I was looking for, her name is Connie. This week at Lowes one guy helped me with 4 different electrical questions. His name was Randy. And then the other day there was a very helpful young lady who walked around the store with me and my shopping list. Thank god for these guys. This is the closest location to our home (unfortunately). The staff here, with a few exceptions, are not very helpful and definitely don't offer to help with loading heavy lumber. In fact today my husband helped a young man load plywood while 2 employees stood talking and when my husband made a comment to the other customer the employees (who heard him) turned and left the aisle. Was given a gift card to Home depot and went there to use it. Found the item I wanted but needed some information. I asked one of the people in the orange vests, but he was going somewhere and said he would be right back. Two other orange vests were standing there talking with each other, so I asked them for help, they said they did not know anything about tools and continued to stand there talking to each other with no offer to get someone to help me. I waited for 15 minutes, using that time to look for the item on line. Found it on line at another vendor for $25 less and placed the order on my phone. Went to speak to the Manager, but he was busy. I am truly sorry that I did not read the reviews on HD before I purchased my dishwasher. As a loyal customer of 25 years, I did not think it was necessary but reading the reviews after my experience clearly shows that they have a SERIOUS problem with 3rd party installers. Many of the complaints state how professional the selling was in the store, but the installation was a disaster which is exactly what I experienced. My new dishwasher was installed in a record time. I was told the reason they could not level the appliance was the uneven granite countertop, and they did not even connect the drainpipe. The wastewater ran undetected for a month into my walls and finally flooded the garage which prompted me to call my plumber. He could not believe the incompetence and connected the drainpipe and leveled the appliance without any problems. As you can imagine I was unhappy and after only getting voicemails at the corporate level when wanting to contact HD, I tried the store where I bought the appliance-only to have another voicemail and nobody to talk to. I then drove to the store and was told I had a minimum wait of 30 minutes to see the manager as he was sorting out another customer complaint. As I was not prepared to wait, I left my number with customer service and have never received a return call. I have water damage to my house and am out of pocket to pay the plumber. I will never support HD again as there are many options in the marketplace. It is a shame that management cannot identify the installation company and move in a different direction in order to restore the service to what was once highly acceptable. On Sunday, May 7, 2017, my husband and I visited the above-referenced store location to purchase an 18" Poulan PRO, 42 cc gas engine, chain saw that Home Depot had listed for $169. We brought with us Tractor Supply Company's current sales circular advertising their identical 18" Poulan PRO, 42 cc gas engine, chain saw for the great price of $149.99 with the intent of having The Home Depot honor their Guaranteed Low Price, which states: If you find a current lower price on an identical, in-stock item from any retailer, we will match the price and beat it by 10%. Just bring the ad, printout or photo with you to the register for validation. Shockingly, not only did the Customer Service representative that waited on us indicate that Home Depot did not recognize Tractor Supply Company as a competitive retailer and refuse to honor the Guaranteed Low Price, she unapologetically dismissed us without further explanation. Our understanding is that the Tractor Supply Company operates over 1,600 retail stores in 49 states and its stock is traded on the NASDAQ exchange, which would make it a competitor of both The Home Depot and Lowe's Home Centers. Sadly, we left the store extremely frustrated and highly disappointed. However, believing that Lowe's Home Center would honor their Price Match Guarantee, we went across the street and presented the same sales circular to Customer Service. They promptly honored Lowe's Home Centers' promise and sold us an 18" Poulan PRO, 42 cc gas engine, chain saw for Tractor Supply Company's sales price of $149.99. You can imagine, this experience has left us feeling very disillusioned with The Home Depot and its staff and we will no longer give our patronage. read more

Once again I am so frustrated. I made an effort to get to Home Depot at 8 AM this morning before all the crowds got out to shop for two specific things; rugs and a new patio set. I waited almost 30 minutes and made three request for someone to meet me in the rug area to no avail. So I gave up there and went to the patio section. I asked the lady at the front who was greeting and by the mask section if she could have someone help me and she said she would "try". Fifteen minutes later no one showed up so I ask one more person. I am more than frustrated with this home depot. I had a Samsung washer and Dryer delivered on May 12th. My dryer seems fine; however, my washer did not work for the get go. The tub would not spin and the water would not drain. I called Home Depot and they said we had to call Samsung. I called Samsung and they said we had to call Home Depot. This went on for 2 1/2 days and then finally they said someone would have to come back out to check it. Okay, so they sent a delivery team on Friday the 19th who just said it was correctly installed. They checked and as I had stated the tub was not moving. They said it was defective and gave me another number. I called that number and they said that the people that were sent were not the ones that was suppose to be sent. So now I am waiting on a call for them to set up yet another person to come look to determine it is defective. After calling the Home Depot manager, my husband told him to either fix it or replace it . It is that simple. He said yes but it doesn't work that away. Absolutely no good customer service from anyone. No telling how long this is going to take. I will definitely think twice about buying from any Home Depot again. OH, AND BY THE WAY. I have done business with this store for YEARS. ALL of my appliance purchases for nearly two decades have been from Home Depot and for the last 16 years from this particular store. I've dealt with the same salesperson for most of those purchases. This time Home Depot has done me really wrong. I bought a $2000 refrigerator for which I had to wait over a month for. Yesterday, the delivery came, and the delivery crew bringing it through the front door...literally ripped off the water dispenser with my front door. My front door has damaged. They say, "I'm sorry" and "I'm pretty sure they will send out a new one by Friday. Sign here. Goodbye." They took the damaged refrigerator and left. I called the salesperson I've been so loyal to for years and he said, "Call me in a couple of days if you don't hear from SAMSUNG". SAMSUNG???? I bought this from Home Depot, and it was my understanding that the delivery people represent HD! When I asked the sales person about the damage to my door, he said, "Oh that's on them. They're insured. You have to go after them to fix the damage." WHAT??? I don't even know who these people are!!! This morning I called the HD 800 and sure enough, she sweetly let me know this wasn't a Home Depot problem anymore and transferred me to Samsung. There I was told that my refrigerator was backordered and that the soonest they could process my "return" (yes, that's what they are calling it) was MAY 7!!! She was kind enough to transfer my issue to the Escalation team to see IF they can find a refrigerator somewhere that they can deliver to me sooner. What an incredible disappointment this purchase has been. I understand supply chain issues. What I don't get is incompetent delivery crew and lack of help from a company I gave over $2000 to. I'm sure Samsung isn't gonna repair the door and I have no clue who the delivery people were. (Apparently, Home Depot doesn't know either!) Oh, and I have a dinner party in two days. A few things that make me rate HD 4 stars: (1) the selection - it is rare that I can't find what I need here (2) helpful staff: they know that Lowe's is close and they treat you as if they know you could walk out the door and go to Lowe's if you aren't happy and (3) the HD return policy is nice - if you aren't happy with something, they will take it back. read more

We totally regret getting our kitchen done by Home Depot. They sent experienced cabinet installers for the initial install. When we had a problem and had replacement cabinets sent, the installers were so inept and confessed they had only done plumbing. My husband ended up doing the replacement installs. Here we are, 10 years later, and we just had MORE replacement cabinets delivered. Do you think someone from HD will return my calls about the install? The Thomasville cabinets were defective and now we can't get HD to install replacements. To be fair, the Thomasville rep was great, but follow up and installation from HD has been a nightmare. I would never recommend HD home improvement services again. Stick to using them for light bulbs and plumbing fixtures that you can install YOURSELF. One STAR rating is GENEROUS. read more

I purchased a gas stove from home depot for delivery. I specifically told the Home depot appliance associate, to have the delivery driver call us 30 minutes before they arrive, since this is a rental property and no one lives there at this time. The delivery driver did not call but just showed up. The main delivery office had to call to tell us they were there. We asked them to wait 5 minutes until we could get there and they said they would and left instead. When I called they told me it was our fault and it would be another week before they could deliver the stove. This is the 3rd time they have done this and I will not shop there again. Lowes is across the street and they had the same stove and they are delivering it in 2 days. Home depot needs to get there act together. read more
