No issues coming here for supplies for random DIY projects. Sometimes the workers aren't the most helpful but can lead you in the right direction. Selection is pretty good too but sometimes with the vast array of choices it can be hard to find the specific thing you need. Check out is quick with the self service scanners and very efficient. I'd generally come back if I needed supplies since the prices are usually pretty decent and the sales can make things very cheap. read more

I am VERY Disappointed!! I always purchase my items online and never had an issue before. I recently ordered some tools that were in stock online and spent $500. I never received my package! Never got a email for delays or updates about my package. I called home depot told them the situation, They said they will refund my $500. Business days passed, The day I was supposed to receive my refund, NEVER received anything! Waited 1 more day and still nothing, I called again and they said my refund should have already been sent back to my bank account. The previous day i shopped in this store and in a matter of 10 minutes encounter the most RUDE employees. One lady smarted off and basically called an employee stupid to his face. Another employee yelled at my wife for walking down an isle that wasn't blocked off. The pro desk is a complete joke & the building staff have little to no experience with Contractors or Construction. The General Manager should be fired because it's truly just sad at this point. Beware of the scam that is Home Depot windows. The salesmen will mislead you about the nature and quality of the service. They will not inform you of the true cost of the project nor will they make accurate predictions of when the job will be done. Once the sale is made, you will not have calls, texts or emails responded to. If they do respond, they will lie to you about when the job will be completed. We paid for a large numbers of windows to be replaced in our house. More than six months after paying the job is still not complete. They have still not installed all we'd paid for. No excuses. No effort. Had to file a complaint challenging the payment just to get them to return calls. This is an utter scam. Go anywhere else to get your windows job and you will be much happier. I'm torn how to rate a place where the corporation obviously can't function but the staff is so good. The website is awful. In my second website order from here, HomeDepot.com messed up yet again. After every single item, I put it that I wanted to pick up at this store. And it was work. One item was going to oak Cliff, one somewhere in Fort Worth, so I manually changed every single item to pick it up at this store. And surprise!! The order went to Skillman. I only figured it out when I went to pick it up at this store. I contacted Home Depot to ask what went wrong and got a bot that promised to send me to customer service. It never did. The staff here was awesome. The employee at the order pickup desk asked if I was going to pick up the items at Skillman (no way) and offered to cancel my order. As I wandered through the store to get my items, I asked for help from another employee. She took me to the location where the web site said one item should be and then looked it up in inventory. HomeDepot.com was a mess yet again - it said there were 45 in stock yet the employee's inventory showed a completely different item that's unavailable. We never found it. We called, stayed on the line for about an hour and they agreed they would deliver it today. For whatever reason Home Depot canceled the delivery again. I'm so frustrated with this Home Depot, specifically the Lumbar department. I periodically go in to purchase plywood for projects and I most often need them cut down. 100% of the time I get attitude when I politely ask someone to help me cut the plywood - of course after they try to convince me otherwise by telling me I have to pay per cut, after the first 2 free cuts. Cherry on top was when I went to get some plywood tonight for a project, the guy told me their saw was broken "and I can go across the street to Lowe's". I have completely lost confidence in Home Depot. I made a purchase, was given a delivery date and left the store very happy with my purchase, even though I would have to wait two weeks for delivery. Unfortunately, two days before the delivery date, I was informed that there was a "problem" with my order and delivery was rescheduled for A MONTH LATER!! That alternative was not acceptable... and after numerous phone calls, I learned that one of the items purchased was on "back order." As a result, the entire order was rescheduled. Worse yet, when I looked online, it appeared that if I had purchased the item the day of the scheduled delivery, it would come before the rescheduled date I was given. After my frustration level got higher than I could stand it, I canceled the order only to find out that although it was a cash purchase, I would not get a refund for 3 to 5 business days. At this point, I knew I would have to avoid Home Depot because this level of frustration should not accompany the purchase of a major appliance. (It's not an item used to perform life and death surgery, though it is a necessity for ensuring clean clothes!!) The people I dealt with were apologetic and polite, but could do nothing for me as a customer because they were following their procedures. And although I understand that, I feel it necessary to find somewhere that the experience will not feel so completely disappointing. If Home Depot could find a way to either provide alternatives or options for customers when they (Home Depot) fail to live up to what they said they would do (or at least find a way of telling the customer that is not a text or email), it would probably feel better than what I experienced. But, alas, I'm just a customer and clearly not as important as the rules. read more

I would agree with some reviewers that occasionally if you need help in a certain department you can have to search for someone to help you, but in general they almost always have the part or piece that I need for whatever project I am working on. Since moving here a couple years ago I have had need of their services for everything from 2 x 4's to level a wardrobe, new toilet flushing mechanism, paint... and even the occasional area rug or lamp. But what finally prompted me to write a review is their deal on packing materials. Boxes for 67 cents!!! Packing paper for $8 for a huge box! Bubble wrap, tape, you name it... I was fortunate enough to be professionally moved when I made the trek from B-more to Dallas and so had the occasion to watch the pros pack and learned a trick or two - everything arrived here safe and sound. Unfortunately, this move is on me, and so I am condemned to pack my own boxes over the next several days but want to use similar supplies and techniques as the pros. After checking out U-Haul, moving companies, Office Depot, Staples, and Lowes... I can truthfully vouch that supplies at Home Depot are the best deal out there. Plus, as usual, the staff was friendly, helpful, and cheerful as I bumbled about the store collecting my necessities and then attempted self-checkout. My advice? Avoid moving at all costs, it is always more painful than you remember. If you can't avoid it, try to get someone else, like your employer say, to pay for it. I made an online order last night after closing, to be picked up in-store today. At 7:45am they texted to say my order was ready. The store is always a madhouse and a few of the items I'd ordered are on the larger/awkward side so I opted for curbside pickup. Of course all 4 designated curbside pickup parking spaces were occupied, and not a single one by a person actually using that service. But it won't acknowledge that you're here waiting for your order unless you're in one of those 4 spaces. So I waited for one of those spaces to open up...and waited some more. Finally I was able to move into one of those spaces, and I "checked in". Within the next 5 minutes 2 more of the designated spaces opened up and we're immediately filled by other curbside customers...and both their orders were promptly brought out. Meanwhile I've been in this spot for an hour and 45 minutes (and waiting for this spot with my hazard lights on for 40 min prior)...as if I don't have a million things I need to be doing. I called and sat on hold waiting to speak to an associate for 20 minutes and when she answered she said my order hadn't been assembled yet...even though I'd been notified that it HAD, over 5 hours earlier. She said she'd get someone to start on it ASAP...that was 47 min ago. I would just go in and grab it but the app doesn't give you that option once you've arrived & checked in. read more
