I LOVE shopping here and Jimmy rectified Matthew's past mistakes so all is good! GREAT deals here too! I just had a very bad experience with them. I will preface and say I have dealt with Jimmy here in the past and he's wonderful. I spent entirely too much money in a day and for the most part got good deals. But, I came back here recently and amongst all the things purchased, one of the items was a vase. He (Matthew) didn't bother telling me things were "final sale" or I would have asked to see if it actually held water. Now, they won't even exchange the item. There are no visible cracks on it - it really is a beautiful vase but this is just awesome I spent $50 on something that will be going in the trash. It's useless at this point. The worst part, is when I called to tell him what happened, he pretty much accused me of breaking it. Why would I break my own vase that I just purchased? It looks brand new - it just doesn't hold water so clearly there's a crack somewhere. Just making everyone is aware of the "buyer beware" thing they have going on that they FAIL to tell people about prior to purchase. Clearly they don't value a customer that has spent $3000 in 2 months there. You would think that Matthew, who was the salesperson and also the manager, would have better people skills as well versus acting like a child on the phone.

Mecox fits the bill! They are pricey but I dare you to find any of their inventory anywhere else. Everything is unique and of high quality. I love the idea that the items we bought are rare and won't be seen in every transitional DFW home. Furthermore, the "Cheers" atmosphere is unmatched in the area. David is one of the most talented and genuine human beings in retail. All the staff is truly wonderful, however, I feel like I not only found a great place to shop but also a friend in him. He makes spending $2k on a lamp or $3500 on a chair feel good! Lol. The selection at Nadeau features really nice and unique furniture and home accent pieces, things that you won't find anywhere else. The other day the store had a collection of beautiful Chamcha wood pieces from Thailand I believe (I could be wrong but I know that they are imported), ranging from dining room tables, chairs, end tables, and even mirrors. I bought one of the mirrors and I love it! I love the entire collection and wish I had room in my home to take every piece. The best part about Nadeau is that the inventory is fairly priced. At similar stores like Crate and Barrel, West Elm, etc., the prices are often inflated, yet the prices at Nadeau, while not exactly cheap, are far less than what you'd pay for similar items that are mass produced at its competitors. You won't feel ripped off at Nadeau, and you'll leave the store with a one-of-a-kind or rare piece as well. Nadeau also has great smaller items that can make for really nice and unique gifts in the $20 range.
