We followed instructions from the business and the manufacturer on 1 million different cycles to try to see if they work and none of them do. This machine is under warranty, but no one will do anything about it. If you get a lemon, just know you will be out thousands of dollars. While I appreciate that she took the time to respond and that she refunded part of my purchase, my overall concerns about the pricing, value, and customer service experience remain the same. I really wanted to love Lemon & Lavender because they have a beautiful store and a unique concept, but I left feeling genuinely shocked by the pricing. I purchased a spray bottle ($9.99) and a small jar ($2.99) to fill with products. The spray bottle was only filled about halfway, and the jar was also only about halfway full. The refills alone came to approximately $50-55. I also purchased beeswax wraps for $29.99. Even after using a coupon, my total was still close to $75. I didn't say anything at checkout because I was honestly so surprised by the total. I recently moved here from California, where the cost of living is significantly higher, and even I found these prices difficult to justify. For this area, the cost per ounce simply doesn't feel economical. I was also disappointed to learn they don't offer any military or veteran discount. Having come from a community with one of the Navy's aviation commands, I was accustomed to local businesses supporting service members and veterans whenever possible. While I understand every business sets its own policies, it was something I noticed. Purchased a Kenmore washer and dryer from an ad on Craigslist on May 15, 2019. Thought it was a…read morelegitimate purchase because it stated" come view at Advent Thrift." It also stated it had a "60 Day Warranty" and no where did it state repairs only NO REFUNDS. I am a single working mother with 2 sons who have blood diseases and after speaking with Al over the phone found a person to pay and have the set picked up. When the pickup person arrived he entered the store asked Mrs. Peters (Manager) for Al and she stated "right over there." The washer tub has numerous rust spots and clothes have been damaged. I called and spoke with Al and asked for a refund and he stated "no refunds only repairs" and I stated that was not stated in the ad and he agreed that it was not. He offered to come to my home and change out the tub and again I requested my $$ back and that the ad needed to be clear in reference to a "60 Day Warranty". He at which time stated "it was not a good time for him to speak and that he was hanging up." I called him back and asked again for a refund and he stated no again and claimed he almost ran into something talking on the phone with me. I told him I would not call again but rather have legal contact him. Next, I called and spoke with Elizabeth Peters (Manager) of Advent Thrift and explained to her my circumstances, she indicated that he was leasing space and that she had not seen the ad. She wanted to call him and offered to call me back. I received a return call from her and she stated "He offered to repair the tub so leave me out of it." I am competing paperwork and filing a small claims judgement against Al. To protest not having the terms honored is worth the $78 plus $20 to have a sheriff serve the judgement/paperwork. Always keep receipts and take a screenshot of ads...I am so glad I did!! On the receipt, he had another opportunity to write "no refunds only repairs"...but he did not. Advent Thrift need to require leaser's to have insurance and state clearly they are a separate entity. They may be liable also.
