They waited on a man that came in after me but I've had this experience before - they don't wait on women in that store. Guess they think we can't afford to buy anything. I tried to purchase 13,500 worth of decking a while back and got the same attitude. I complained to the store manager and was told to stop harassing him and his employees. Huh? What because I wanted to purchase something? Someone should sue. It's 2026 and illegal to discriminate against women. Contacted corporate, never heard back. We just bought a house so of course we needed a laundry list of items. We in no less than 45 minutes got 4 sets of locks identically keyed, got a mini fridge on major clearance, did some Christmas shopping, all while getting those odds and ends. I had a GREAT EXPERIENCE at HOME DEPOT today and I wasn't expecting it. Normally I have so much trouble figuring out the layout of the store because I can never find any maps or directory so I have to find someone to ask. And today there just happened to be a friendly older lady that gave me very good directions. My next step was to get help finding the right light bulb for my kitchen. Now here is where I usually have BIG problems. If I find someone usually working in some portion of the store they are in the process of doing something and they act annoyed. Again I was lucky to find a friendly young man who gave me the best help ever. I went away feeling great for the first time ever having shopped here without feeling I'd interrupted someone's lunch hour or something. For a moment I felt I was in a different store where people stop what they are doing and actually care more about you than doing a job of stocking shelves. Maybe HOME DEPOT is hiring better employees or giving them better training but whatever they are doing I hope they keep doing it. read more

Everyone at Home Depot in Eden Prairie was so friendly! Every single person I came in contact with was friendly. AND, THIS WAS BEFORE THEIR MEETING! My husband and I were shopping in the garden area of the Home Depot store in Eden Prairie. There was a man who was so friendly and joking with us. We wandered around and It was about 90 minutes before they closed. Over the loud speaker we heard an announcement that there would be an employee meeting at the end of the evening. When management connects with staff, the staff perform very well. I was asked if I was ready to check out yet, and even though I wasn't ready yet they were helpful. One thing that I really enjoyed about THIS store (because we were at another Home Depot in Chaska the night before and I had to post an honestly bad review) was that EVERYONE was happy AND they all seemed to like each other! I know when it's towards the end of the evening and employees want to go home, things might not be so nicey nice, know what I mean? Purchased a ryobi snow blower through the eden prairie store and was delivered very quickly. The battery charger was not included in the snowblower purchase which it should have been. I called the home depot .com and told me to call Ryobi and they tole me to call the store and the store didnt think the charger was to be included with the blower. I called the store and they didn't think the charger was to be included. I went to store and just purchased a charger. Lesson here is you pay $600 for a snowblower and before you leave the store you need to buy the battery and charger separate from the blower. Knowing this would have saved lot of time on my end. read more

We've been pretty happy with HD for a long time. However, in the past month, they have made it much harder to get Veterans Discount. I used to be able to show my Veteran ID card, along with Driver's license and it was accepted for the 10% discount. Then suddenly, without any prior notice, when I was checking out, they sprung this on me - I need to establish their Veteran app on my SmartPhone and then show it at checkout time! I was already at the store, preparing to buy a chimney cap and several plants. Since I didn't know about this new restriction, I had to walk out of their without buying anything. WHY do we need this now? DIY hardware stores do not require it, nor do any of the other places that I show the Veterans ID card. Home Depot states that they get a lot of fraud and that's why they switched to requiring SmartPhone app. We are VETERANS! By that definition, we are "OLD". I myself am approaching mid-80s. Some of us are not skilled with using phones nor constantly carrying them around. To me, this new Home Depot seems like DISCRIMINATION AGAINST ELDERLY PEOPLE. The Home Depot in Danvers never has a cash register open, they only have four self service registers open. There must be thirty employees working there but they choose to make me do self check out. I was in the store today looking for a few pieces of hardware. I even brought an example to make sure I got the right part. After searching through the hardware aisle I came up empty. I looked around and was pleased to find lots of employees in the orange aprons. When I showed the piece and asked for assistance I was directed back to the hardware aisle from where I had come. I was told that my guess was a good as his as to where in that aisle it would be, and he walked off. Never found it, and decided it would be best not to ask about the other piece. When it took me a second to say yes, he rolled his eyes and showed me where they were and walked away to finish his conversation with another employee. This is my third review update after living near this location for 6 years. A few recent interactions reinforced a strong 0-1 star review. Avoid! Highlights include employees who hate their jobs, customer service that reminds me of the DMV, and prices that are higher than Menards. The biggest issue that this store has is its employees. The majority of the workers will avoid eye contact with you at all costs, fearing you will ask them a question that will require them to walk down 2-3 isles to point you in the right direction. I recently walked past two employees that were on a nice stroll together, neither looked my direction although we were the only people in a large section of the store. I stopped and asked if either of them could help me out (yes I asked to be helped). Instead of stopping to do what should the number one priority of a floor worker, he said "I'm walking this way" to me and kept walking. WTF?? Sorry to interrupt your afternoon stroll, product stocking, or path to sit on your butt - but I shouldn't have to beg you for assistance! Amazing. I couldn't count how many employees have walked right past me as I gaze into their eyes without even a stray glace, I can sit in the middle of the main isle and hold my hands in the air waving and they just look right past me. Hi, I want to buy your products and services but I cannot because I don't have a ladder to retrieve the product. Home Depot workers are too busy talking to their buddies or restocking a shelve to bother with customer service. Moving on, even when you find an employee that may want to assist you, the vast majority are incompetent in the basics of humanity. I had a cashier the other day that figured scanning a box of tiles was the same as scanning a single tile, so he tried to charge me 8x the cost for my product. He of course didn't notice a single thing, and rung up my bill for $800 instead of $100 asking me for my payment. This was after he offered me a Home Depot Credit card two times before starting, and once after I said you rang up my product incorrectly. I already started our interaction with "no thank you", that means you don't need to offer me the CC 2 more times. Home Depot does have a few redeeming qualities, and believe it or not this location does have 2-3 outstanding individuals that are experts in their respective fields, smile, and ask what else they can help you with. But these folks are far from the majority. If you are going to brave the incompetency, avoid this location during weekends and holidays; be prepared to train the employees on how to scan a barcode, and don't think for one second that you will be able to find assistance if you require it (you're on you're own!). read more

Store has improved from year(s) ago.. Website and App do show items location in store (NICE).. But both are slow and app does not work in store sometimes. Buy 80% of all paint at this store. They carry less in store items than Menards, but have better online ordering, generally free shipping to store (sometimes home). What they carry in store is generally good quality. Like their Ryobi tools; no problems. Service desk employees are helpful and accommodating. read more

Unfortunately Nancy was not around to help me find the things I needed; however, the lady that was on duty tonight was less than friendly. Not only did she refuse to move at all from her chair and be unhelpful, but once she decided to do something, she had a hard time scanning a bar code and told me her machine will never be able to scan it and therefor I should just take a picture and look it online. "Purchased" an expensive snowblower online. Promised date came and went with NO communication from HD about delays. I had to call, wait, and wait, and get the various amount of excuses about how something other than them is responsible for the delays and would I like to wait some more. Absolutely infuriating to be dragged along on a fishing line after dropping $600+ on something. No apologies. Nothing other than would you like to wait some more. NO. I've got another 8" of snow on the way. HD, you've got to figure out a way to not mess with your online customers. 3 delays was enough for me. Canceled my order. The phone experience for online orders is horrendous. Exceedingly bad customer experience. Not shopping HD for anything any longer as this is the third and last time to try something online with this "retailer" again. Shame, shame on you for treating your customers this way. read more

I am a self employed painter and was working a job In the Eden Prairie area, I had to get some supplies and paint at this Home Depot and I have to say that 95% of the workers are rude and don't know jack about home projects or paint for that matter. I will never go to that place of business again. I was treated poorly by three of their workers when I asked about paint and talked down to and pretty much treated like garbage. After starting my window buying process last August with Home Depot I am still without windows 10 months later. Today for the third time they delivered windows that were the wrong size. Now it's not that they couldn't put them in by enlarging the rough opening but they're not willing to. So I'm still here without new windows. We have flown back from Florida to Minnesota three times. So not only do I not have my windows I'm also out six round-trip tickets from Florida to Minnesota. I put a one on the five star rating system simply because I'm not able to put negative numbers in. Each time we've had problems we've talked with multiple people at Home Depot who guaranteed us they were taking care of our problem. As of yet no one has, and very rarely does anyone return our phone calls when they say they will. I'm absolutely amazed at the lack of effort that has been put into providing service to me as a customer. I understand I'm probably not one of Home Depot's biggest customers, but I am a customer. I don't know how a company stays in business paying such a small amount of attention to customer satisfaction. read more

The Home Depot Eden Prairie Manager has NOT responded to phone calls, a letter explaining the situation, OR a store visit where an assistant manager indicated he would inform her of my concerns. We purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator, to replace the unit in our garage. I had told the salesperson what we were replacing. When delivered the delivery people told us about how the refrigerator does NOT work in temperatures under 55 degrees. There is NOT any warning of the temperature problem in the store. Frigidaire recommends a gadget to "fool" the thermostat to operate under 55 degrees. The EP Home Depot Manager has not confirmed if that voids my warranty. We've purchased other appliances and a great deal of carpet from Eden Prairie Home Depot. Unless the Manager decides to call us, this could be the last purchase there. read more

A very helpful man greeted me and told me how to find exactly what I needed. 2 other employees assisted me throughout the store and the cashier was also nice. Which I thought was good to have because the store is so big, you can find yourself going in circles if you are not familiar with anything. My boyfriend and I go to Home Depot for everything we need in our home improvements. We always have great customer service! Until today when we came in to get paint matched for the trim, I witnessed an older women named Phyllis who was very very rude to the customers in front of us. Not only was she vocally rude. When I was standing in an aisle next to an unused cart, she looked at me asked me if it was mine and when I said no she grabbed it and walked away aggressively after rolling her eyes and pushed it 10 ft ahead of me and kept walking. After this, another customer came up to me and said, yeah that women seems like this is the last place she wants to be and said he walked away from ordering his paint because he didn't even want her help. Ordered, online, a Werner ladder extension. Got to the store and employee gave me a box that was totally, yes totally unrecognizable. The photo of the product was like gone. Know why? the extenstion inside was the cheaper one you wouldn't buy. Their lack of quality employees allowed someone to "return" this item and probably get credit for the better one. I went to home Depot today with my receipts to return some items and was told after 30 days I would have to get store credit.The clerk then proceeded to tell me that the bolt I was return wasn't from there because they didn't have numbers on them. Later she found the numbers on the nuts and bolts and proceeded to return some of my items with a store credit.When I asked her how much the store credit was for she said just a minute.Then she told me an amount that didn't have the large bag of salt I was returning.when I said something she said oh yeah I forgot about that and proceeded to put it on the store card that had the credit even though I had a receipt that was less than 30 days. when I asked her if I could speak with a manager she told me that managers don't like to handle these type of situations and that I could speak with a coworker. She then asked one of the other cashiers to come over and talk to me and the cashier did not ask me what was the problem or what I needed even. The second cashier just proceeded to return the items as a store credit. This Is perhaps the worst customer service I have ever had. I walked out the store thinking why would I want to shop there again. read more

Had a great experience working with Nancy in the ordering process. Unfortunately, the scheduling and install was a complete nightmare. We called a day before to confirm our scheduled appointment, they had us down for the wrong date. We then received a call back that they were able to install as originally planned. Waited for someone to show up within the time frame given and nothing. WE had to call Home Depot to get an update that our carpet was damaged. No one called us to let us know. After many attempts to get in contact with a store manager, we had to make a visit to the store to determine next steps to get this resolved as we are expected to move this weekend. We were told it would be another week to get replacement carpet. No apology, no discount, no follow up. This has been the worst customer service experience ever. I am so very disappointed in the lack of communication and have no confidence that this can be resolved. I will be sure to share this experience with anyone looking into flooring and will direct them elsewhere. So so terrible. read more

I was so humbled by the two individuals working at the returns area when I made an emergency stop one morning looking for scotch tape on my way to a meeting. The workers informed me that they only carried scotch tape during the holidays and then proceeded to dig in their drawers looking for scotch tape to give me. They insisted that I take what was left of one they had and also a brand new roll. They didn't expect anything or for me to buy anything, they were just so helpful and I really appreciated it because I was in a pinch. I will go out of my way to go back to this particular Home Depot in the future and will be back again today to get a tape measure. read more

This is a VERY BIG THANK YOU TO STACEY at the customer service desk at the Eden Prairie, MN location, that went above and beyond to help us when a part was missing from the 9x9 arched gazebo we purchased this spring. She was very professional and personable, and caused what could have continued to be a frustration, to turn into not a big deal at all! If I had a company I would hire her away from HD to be a part of my team. THANK YOU STACEY!!!! And btw we love the gazebo- just what we needed at a fraction of the cost of a custom built one. Held up perfectly in this last 80mph wind storm that took down trees in our neighborhood, 2 houses away from ours. It is screwed down to our deck and been up for going on 3mos. It is time consuming to build but my smart husband did it with no problem. We did have to drill a couple new holes that didn't align and there were a couple small dings, that now that it's up you would never know. That's what you get for the big box, China made price you are paying for. We would purchase it again no prob! read more

Andy, who was working in the doors and windows area, helped my husband and I look for doors, offered lots of helpful information, but also gave us space to decide. He also wrote down details for us. I can honestly say that it was the best service we have ever received at a Home Depot. I purchased 600 sf. of their Alure flooring for my lower level on their recommendation ,it all failed; the bond let loose. After being given the big run around I got the flooring cost back but was out the $1,500.00 install cost (they said it was an install issue,it was not ; getting on line I found out (to late) that others were having the same problems. They are bad news. Even though I signed off I may take them to court. They knew what they were doing when they cheated me. read more
