The washer I bought from them is displaying a door code. It's not even worth the money to repair it. I was sold a disposable washer that after being very lightly used for a couple years will be recycled. The "GE cares" phone number is worthless. Will not buy from EP appliances again. I don't like throwing away an appliance that is still like new. Salesperson knew what the model number was before I even told him, which tells me I'm not the first. I don't recommend buying GE after all the research I have done online after this, and the woman who answered the phone at EP appliances was unprofessional. We love working with Lisa Guidry because she is honest and learns what her customers like!! It all started with the Thermidor steam oven! My husband doesn't like reheated meat but that all changed when he tried a steak reheated in the steam oven. We bought it of course! He cooks potatoes in it all the time too! We also purchased a refrigerator, dishwasher, washer and dryer and most recently a Thermidor Freedom cooktop and love it!!! We have reached out to Lisa for various questions about different appliances and she will tell us I don't think you'd like that because of whatever her knowledge is of the appliance and her knowledge of our likes and dislikes and we appreciate that!! I feel compelled to write a review of Eden Prairie Appliance, as it seems only disgruntled people seem to take the time to write reviews these days. I lived in Eden Prairie thirty years ago and purchased my appliances at EP Appliance. I went back again when I returned to live in this area due to previous experience with this company that has been in business for decades. First, this is not your big box store. When I went in to choose the range and refrigerator, the employee Mark Maly helped me decide on both appliances according to my preferences. He has extensive knowledge of all products available and. patiently walked me through the process. I am happy with the EP Appliance .I know I have someone to stand behind the product if I need help after delivery. read more

3rd time I have called them for the same issue - the oven in our Viking range won't ignite. After the 1st repair, it worked once and then blew the circuit. 2nd repair it worked for 2-3 weeks and now the oven won't ignite again. Ridiculous. Round 3 - here we go again... read more

I can no longer recommend Eden Prairie Appliance. We purchased our appliances from them. I called because we needed service again on the fridge. I was told they no longer perform those services. I would highly recommend shopping somewhere else. Purchase from a company that stands behind the products they sell and will be there to service them in the future. I think Eden Prairie Appliance is excellent. I purchased a refrigerator and had a problem with the bin popping out on a whirlpool. They sent someone right away to bring me a new shelf but it turns out that you just push out the shelf a little then it was fine. Then my dishwasher went out and the owner found me a whirlpool fingerprint proof one to match my refrigerator and he also matched the price of his competitors. He was on top of letting me know about my financing and delivery date. I love giving my business to a company that takes care of their client. read more

We completed a kitchen remodel and purchased all new appliances through Eden Prairie Appliances. The salesman we were assigned was very locked into certain brands and didn't have a lot of knowledge on brands my wife was interested in and attempted to talk her out of her choice. We chose to purchase from EP Appliances due to relationship contractor had and their promise of excellent service. We have not had great luck with the service department. Working through issues with burner on Wolf range. My wife called 3 weeks ago, and was told they were too busy and pushed her off to another service provider. She couldn't get a call back from other service provider. I called back to EP Appliances and was scheduled a service appointment for this morning. Never received call from tech during the time provided (between 7:00 - 7:30 a.m. for my 2 hour service window). I was able to reach scheduler after office opened with the explanation the service tech "didn't want to handle because the range was under warranty"??? I was directed to another service provider that handles warranty work for Wolf ranges. This information would be have great to receive when we purchased or 3 weeks ago when my wife called. I would have been pleased when the service tech discovered our range was under warranty he called with courtesy response on the best direction to go instead of ignoring us. We were really hoping to find a dealership that we would have a loyalty to for future products. But we are back to buying from best price wins our business and call the manufacture's service providers. read more

The U-Line, undercounter ice maker at my company is locked into a $600 warranty with Eden Prairie Appliance. They took over six weeks to get our ice maker repaired. Poor excuses, poor communication with the client (us), little effort to expedite parts in order to speed up the repair process...very, very disappointing experience. These people have been extremely unprofessional and rude to us in their communication. They continually pretend to have called us when they don't, and when they do call to confirm delivery they call about nine hours later than promised. They do not work with customers for anything, and I would not recommend them to ANYONE for ANYTHING. Avoid these assholes like the plague. read more

I would not recommend EP Appliance!!! I have a 10 year warranty on an ice maker, with full documentation. I had a repair and the technician said there would be no charge due to the warranty. I then get charged over $600 on my credit card without my approval or itemized bill. Unbelievable!!!!! read more

I disagree with the previous 2 reviewers. A year ago I renovated my kitchen. After visiting every other appliance dealer in town - Best Buy, Warners Stallion (two different salespeople), Sears, Home Depot, and ApplianceSmart, I returned to Eden Prairie Appliance where I had previously purchased appliances. My sister worked for Roth Distributing as an appliance rep and always said they were the best. Maybe it depends on the salesperson? I lucked out and met Leslie. She is extremely knowledgeable and objective. She even tried to talk me out of a Sub Zero fridge due to the cost, but when I decided to go ahead as I wanted a counter-depth fridge with a single door, she steered me to the model with the larger fridge (vs freezer). On to the dishwasher, she knew what brands worked with panels. I wanted a microwave drawer and she explained that Sharp makes all the industry MW drawers and they are the least expensive brand. Lastly, I was looking for a dual fuel stove/oven and thought I wanted a double door oven. She pointed out that the bottom oven door needs to lay on the floor to open and instead steered me to a GE model with a bottom drawer that heats to 400 degrees. A year later, I couldn't be happier with my new appliances. I recently reported that my oven thermometer wasn't working. The same day I sent Leslie an email, I received a call from the service department to schedule a service call. Wow! Bottom line: if you are embarking on a kitchen remodel, stop in and see Leslie! We bought a cooktop and the installation was fast and easy - the salesman was very attentive in making the arrangements and the installer dude knew what he was doing. When the cooktop was installed it was obvious that it was bent because the corner did not lay flat against the countertop. The installer noticed it too and said he would talk to the salesman. When I sent the salesman an email he said they would order and install a new one within a couple of days - there was no fussing around with "hey we'll send someone out" or "we'll have to talk to the manufacturer" The new one went in and I was really happy with the service. read more

The staff is not very knowledgable about their products. I asked the difference between a Kitchenaid freezer and a Maytag and the salesman said he didn't really know. I also asked where some of the models were manufactured and again he could't tell me. He didn't offer to look them up on the Internet. Very poor customer service. I also had bought a Viking stove from them four years ago. I had problems right away and the salesperson was no help whatsoever. read more

In early May 2014, our Marvel under counter 2-drawer refrigeration unit stopped working and we called EP Appliance. Their service tech came out on May 23 but did not have the part he needed so he ordered one. In mid June their service scheduler called to tell us the part had arrived, but they couldn't get out to us until July. On July 7, the service tech returned, but said he had to take our unit back to the shop to make the repair and it would take "about a week." Eight days later, I called and was told the service tech would start working on it on July 29. I was not satisfied and left a voice message for Randy, the service manager. After a week and no return call, my wife left another message for Randy. It's Aug 2nd and still no return call, but they still have our refrigeration unit. Their service is pitiful. read more
