Purchased 3 appliances. The fridge was faulty & froze my food. Called Whirlpool as instructed. They came out and said what they thought it might be but didn't fix it, they weren't sure. I called Home Depot and told them I now wanted it replaced. I had paid a lot of money, I didn't want a faulty appliance, I had done what they recommended. They refused and said I need to keep calling Whirlpool! I can't buy food! I have thrown out food! Christmas is around the corner. Bad service, bad customer care. Came to this Home Depot today for the first time while on the hunt for a new Christmas tree. And we found the tree of our dreams complete with pine cones, a touch of sparkle, and a touch of white flocking with warm LED lights for $300. Several staff approached us and helped with questions and locating of specific items we were looking for. Checkout was quick and painless. The downside to this location is the heavy traffic in South Common and the hard to navigate parking lot. We were also surprised that this wasn't a larger store considering the location. read more

I don't know. My husband loves it. I really hate it, so I'll split the difference. Last week my husband found an assembled garden shed on sale at The Home Depot. The manager said that we had to get it off the parking lot the next day. No problem. Wait... The Home Depot doesn't have a trailer big enough to haul this thing. 7x7. We had to find a trailer on our own. Did it. Arrived to pick up our shed. It's still frozen to the ground. Entombed in 4 inches of ice. Luckily we brought tools to free it. And salt. Lots of salt. Still couldn't budge it. We asked the manager if we could leave it here for a few days to thaw. Hmmm. OK. Arrived today after renting a trailer for a second time. Once they found a licensed fork lift operator, there was lots of help available to load it onto the trailer. We were responsible for tying down our load. We were told we'd be inspected upon departure, but that never happened. We are the proud owners of a garden shed. It was 75% off and the assembly fee of $350.00 was waved. Yes you can find good deals there. It's not enough to make me want to do a lot of shopping at this store. read more

The staff I spoke to seemed pretty knowledgeable of where I needed to look to find what I was looking for. This Home Depot seems much larger than the one I live near and since Home Depots don't necessarily have a cookie cutter layout like Costco, if you're not familiar with any particular store, it's good to know that the staff can help you out. For this store I found the staff very friendly and helpful. I almost hate to say I'm not used to that. Is it that I'm in Alberta, in Edmonton or just out west? Why can't our stores be this good? Sat with a very knowledgable and helpful lady in the kitchen department and ordered everything we needed to finish our basement from flooring, to a full kitchen set up with cabinets, sink, backsplash and appliances. She took the time to explain all the options and the delivery was seamless even during COVID! The cost was half of the first store and much better quality. Soon buying appliances for another property and will definitely be heading there! Very well run with great service! read more

The place itself looks like a giant warehouse that someone filled up with a bunch of building materials. Not only is it big, but the huge selection makes it really convenient for home builders. This location is huge! Unless you already know where to go, you can easily get lost. I usually need to ask someone to let me know what aisle I should go to. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly; although sometimes they are so busy that you need to wait until they have finished helping another client. This is a great place when you need any type of tools or spare parts for your house or garden. They give 60 days for refunds or exchanges as long as you keep the receipt. They close at 10:00pm which still gives enough time to go shopping in the evening. read more

For some reason, my light fixtures in my past couple of residences have required the purchase of specific halogen lightbulbs. Sure, they produce nice light, but they can also catch on fire more easily than say, a compact fluorescent bulb. And they are impossible to find at your average Shopper's Drug Mart or Dollarama. The Home Depot came to the rescue. Not only could I find the specific type of Halogen bulb that I needed, the price was not as high as I feared. But when asking about one specific bulb versus another for use, the guy who worked in the lighting section insisted that a certain bulb was not a specific type of bulb, contrary to what the package said. No matter what, I was able to make a decision about what kind of light bulb to buy and it worked. Still, when dealing with this lighting specialist, I felt as if he were Larry David and I were another poor shlub whose day Larry David ruins. But this guy was well meaning, and he helped cut some speaker wire for me, but I have a feeling he pushed more expensive speaker wire on me than I actually needed. My encounter while checking out was rather odd as well. And the checkout lady encouraged me to buy windshield washer fluid for some reason. It was just rather random, and she wasn't particularly helpful when I was having issues using their odd debit/credit machines. There were many friendly workers here, but I find the whole Home Depot experience intimidating. And the employees added a certain level of oddness to the intimidation. read more

Although the convenience of one stop shopping does appeal to me Home Depot is a place I usually dread. It has DIY, renovation and hardware supplies of all sorts but nothing is very easy to find, including helpful staff. If you know exactly what you are looking for and you know they have it you have a great experience, unfortunately if you kinda think you know what you need and you are there when it is busy, you will wait to get helped, likely get poor quality help and then wait in line to purchase for 10 minutes. I'm not exactly what you would call a handyman, but I have some familiarity with tools. Usually the two-legged variety, but I'm okay with the other kind, too. This store has a good selection of pretty much anything you might need for building materials, tools, fixtures, etc. They also offer workshops on a number of different subjects, so if you need to fix something around the house, but don't know how, give them a call and they can more than likely show you. And, as an added bonus, they offer a decent amount of seasonal items as well. My trip today was to pick up some new Christmas lights; noticed that they have yard decorations, trees, and tree trimmin' gear as well. Also, a lot of it was on sale. read more

Lowe's seems bigger, easier to get into and out of (parking wise), and better prices on quite a few things. Lumber, tools, etc. Although it is always good to price compare. read more

I've been a customer of this Home Depot for the past 6 years and spent well over $100,000 building my house. Last night I bought a $250 can of paint. I drive home an hour and start painting, the van was full of debris. I traveled back the next morning to get a new can. And they only knock off $80. And that was after 15 minutes of waiting around waiting on the staff trying to find the "manager". Congratulations Lowe's you now have my business for the next house I build. read more

Our recent home renovation included painting 1500sq ft so the promise of money back guarantee with the Behr Marquee paint sounded to good to be true but the person in the paint department I sured is that as long as we tinted with a marque paint swatch the one coat coverage would for sure cover in one coat so we took a chance! Well after one coat it was covered but the finish was really bad so we applied a second coat which still looked bad! So off we went back to buy more paint and after the third application of regular Behr paint we finally have a good finish! So paying the extra 30% for the Marque was the biggest waste of money ever!!!! read more

Helpful people who work here IF you can find someone to help you. A quick in and out takes awhile if you don't know where you need to go. Also they don't allow dogs in here. The manager said 'small dogs only and only if you carry it' absolutely disgusting. What if it's hot outside and I have to run in and grab one thing but wasn't planning on stopping there? I'd rather go to Rona and Peavey Mart where all dogs are welcome and there is more staff available to help! read more

I went to Home Depot to get blinds. I have never had a worse experience in customer service. It took 45 minutes to get someone to get blinds and to talk to a Manager about this.
