If you need anything, don't even think of going into store to speak to them because they will tell you you have to submit a request online and be assigned a case manager, they will not help you in store. Dishonest sales practice! Lack of communication between the sales/company and delivery/installation team! I called CAS before placing an order for a washer/dryer, specifically to inquire about their delivery and installation services that were "free" and included in the purchase price. I was assured there would be no issues in delivering and installing the washer/dryer on the third floor of our home. Come delivery day, the team said they could not bring it to the third floor and that we needed to book an "oversized delivery service" as it would require a 4 person team. Mind you we already ordered the smallest washer/dryer possible. We had to pay $186 for the oversized delivery which was scheduled for 3 days later. The new team that came only needed 2 people to haul the appliances upstairs. Had I known what the delivery charge would be I would not have chosen to purchase from CAS. read more

Contacted the salesperson via email & voicemail. The wrong product was input into the invoice which was resolved. Asked the sales person twice to contact me by phone but for what ever reason would not talk to me on the phone, only by text or email. I lost my child's $2000 medication and over $400 in food. Buyer beware, I was sold a defective dryer and they will not exchange it. They assured me on delivery that the appliances were working. There was a dent in the back but I was assured that it wasn't a problem. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of believing them and signed the delivery notice. Really unacceptable. I had a freezer delivered three months ago, and damage was done to my wall with the removal of the old freezer. Delivery crew were great and said their boss would call me to arrange for a repair (they have 'a guy' who does repairs for them). - A week went by and nobody called me. - I called CSA and was asked to send photos of the damage (which I did). - Another week went by, and so I followed up again. - I received a call from the owner of the delivery truck. He said 'his guy' was out of town, and asked how much $ I want to arrange my own drywall repair and repainting. I said I wanted him to repair the problem rather than me spending my time and energy tracking down someone to do it. - Since then, every week or two, I have politely and professionally followed up with the owner ... and with CSA. And I have been asked, again, to send photos (which I did, again). - It has been radio silence from both parties. Terrible customer service! We bought a washer from CAS. The salesman was friendly at first. He sold it to us with the white glove service as an extra. The washer was delivered about a week later but the white glove service was two guys taking out my old washer that was all disconnected and ready to move and bringing in the new one. They said oh you have hoses still connected (I had all the tools right up there on the dryer), we just deliver it, and asked me to sign off that it was delivered. They didn't even take off the packing bolts or anything but they did take the box. They also spilled so much water with my old washer that the carpet in front of my laundry room was soaking. I tried installing it but the washer had plastic threads on the hose connection and I think it was threaded crooked and the hot water line wouldn't seal. we've got two toddlers at home and we do laundry every day. My wife called to ask the white glove installers to come back and install it the CAS customer service rep was rude and condescending to her. My wife handed me the phone and he told me they weren't going to come back and he said "maybe you can explain that in a way that your wife will understand". So sexist and terrible company. We called the salesman that was happy to take our money but he said that everything was my fault I should have known to take the hoses off the wall. All we wanted was for the installers to come back. If it was a manufacturers defect they shouldn't just saddle the customer with a nonfunctioning washer. When we went into the store they told us they would refund our white glove service, which they never did. They also said if you want to return or exchange it that you have to fill out a form online and they can't do anything to help you unless you fill out the form. Then when you fill out the return or exchange form, you have to agree that it's entirely up to them, if they will accept your return or exchange. And that they will take up to 2 business days to respond. After a day and a half they said no it looks like it's been installed. We cannot return it CAS can't help us and we should probably call the manufacturer for a warranty issue. They are the worst company that I've dealt with in years. They also took our old washer that worked and left us with a shiny one that didn't work at all. We did end up using the manufacturer's warranty and a quality installation company came out and fixed it. From their deliver day to when the washer was installed was 7 days and from day 1 nobody from CAS tried to help us at all. It was clear once they had our money they wanted nothing to do with us. Ordered all new appliances at the beginning of November. ETA from manufacturer was 2-3 weeks. Ended up taking over two months. Our dishwasher crapped the bed but was in stock so I opted to go pick it up and have the rest delivered. I found out after that Canadian Appliance wouldn't take the old dishwasher with the rest of the appliances since we picked it up. Finally everything came in so I called to book a delivery date. I was told they would get back to me in a few days to book delivery. 2 weeks later I called them and it turned out they damaged the stove in the warehouse and had to order another one. Nobody told me. They outsource their customer service now and it's a mess. Even the warehouse guy I picked the stove up from said they've been having steady problems with customer service. Awful customer service if there is an issue. They are all over you when you are looking to buy. Then when there is an issue and they cannot deliver on time, suddenly they go dark. They have 'No way of tracking your appliances' and cannot tell you when they will be delivered. I was promised "At MOST 3 weeks" Here I am two months later and they have no idea where my washer/dryer is or when it will be in town. Referring you to 'Customer Care' without even trying themselves to help you or get the issue sorted. Customer care # puts you on hold for 10 minutes then transfers you to leave a message. Their website does not allow you to do it yourself and nobody will speak to me to get it done. We bought $10,000 worth of appliances from CAS. We were told that they would all be delivered at the same time. We were told that we would get exactly what we paid for. Then, COVID hit. We were flexible, accepting multiple deliveries on different times and dates. We worked with our rep Summer to organize when we were getting what products. Until it came to the Washing Machine (a very essential appliance for a family of 5). After many back and forth emails and calls, Summer and I agreed that we would downgrade from the washer we wanted to a smaller washer (that was supposed to match the dryer we already received) for MORE money. When we received the washer, it was not what the one we ordered. We sent it back with the delivery guy (who was very kind). Then, when I emailed Summer about this I received absolute 100% radio silence for 4 days. I emailed her asking that if we can't get the washer we ordered, can we switch brands. Nothing. I asked if we could get a refund and we'll buy locally. Nothing. The only time I got a response is when I emailed and told her that we HAD TO go ahead and buy locally because as a family of 5 we needed a washer. Her response "Click this link to start the return process" Then, when I go through the return process, I find out that there's a %25 restocking fee + a pickup charge. So, for a $1000 appliance, I now have to pay $350 back to the company that COULD NOT DELIVER THE PRODUCT THEY SOLD ME. On top of that, the returns department completely ignored my reasoning for returning the item. When I explained a second time, they told me that it doesn't matter, that's their policy and to deal with with. TALK ABOUT TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. This is unacceptable for any company. Especially during a pandemic when most companies are being understanding and work with their customer. Just awful. Only used them once for a dryer and will never get anything from them again. I knew what I wanted but the sales guy rushed me to finish the order over the phone. Wasn't warned ahead of time that the delivery /install was going to be an issue. I have a very normal dryer with a very normal dryer vent which they refused to install for me. Leaving me with no working dryer and left. Was told to get a refund from my sales guy. He only refunded HALF the install fee and went on vacation. This review is about Canadian Appliance Source store located in Edmonton on Calgary Trail. We had experienced the worst customer service you can imagine. The day we walked in the store, June 27, we were introduced to the sale person, who is, very obviously, a drug user. Despite that, we explained what we were looking for, and made it very clear that we need laundry machine set as soon as possible. So we made a deal and purchased the set which we wanted. The guy re-assured us that our machines will be delivered on July 2nd, which we agreed to. On July 2nd, we did not received the machines, but also we found out through the website chat that machines are scheduled for delivery on July 27. One month later!! Which was not acceptable for us. I tried to contact the sale person and he was dropping the call every time. Eventually when he spoke with me, he promised to look into the issue and call me back. He never call me back and did not reply to my email. Our issues is still not resolved at this point as we did not receive machines nor a refund. I should have taken more heed of all the negative reviews. When ordering online, you are asked if this is a business or residence. As I was ordering for a business I selected business. An agent called to confirm the order and take full payment and then scheduled the delivery, at our business, for a couple days later. How amazing. The night before delivery, an automated call was made to my business phone, again as it is a business, where it states the delivery window for the next day is between 5PM and 8PM. So after business hours. I called at 7:30 AM the next day after listening to the message to get the delivery corrected and was told that I would be charged a second delivery fee to reschedule. That is quite the scamming system they have set up!!! I spoke to 2 different people, one of which was clearly a defeated human who didn't care and the second made it sound like they were able to help to then send me a follow up email stating we would be charged the second fee. Seriously, I should have done my homework. Do yourself a favour and research these guys and then NEVER, EVER buy anything from them. I have to say that the initial buying experience and delivery were fine. As well, prices were competitive. However, as we have experienced first hand, if there is an issue you get to see the dark side. We bought a fridge and dishwasher for our real estate office kitchen. When we installed the dishwasher, it showed an error code and wouldn't run. We called CAS and they said "Sorry, it's been over 48 hours, you will have to call Samsung." We called Samsung and they said "You bought the appliance for a commercial application - there is no warranty." We called CAS back and pointed out that one: their sales guy knew we were buying the dishwasher for a real estate office and never said anything about warranty. And two: the dishwasher was brand new - never been run, how would we know there was an issue until we took it out of the box and installed it. You would think that any company that cared about their customers would not want their client ending up with a $900 paperweight. CAS 'Resolution Centre' is just a way to say they have no intention of helping at all. It should be called 'Excuse Centre'. They said ALL of the following: You took it out of the box - we can't help you. You installed it - we can't help you. It's been more that 48 hours - we can't help you. The information on the warranty was in a booklet inside the dishwasher - you should have read it. ( OK - really? We would have had to open the box on the dishwasher we already purchased and had delivered to an office to be able to know that the warranty was void? Shouldn't the guy that sold us the dishwasher have told us that before we bought the dishwasher?). I would give them a zero if it was possible. We wanted a dishwasher, and had done our research on Bosch, we wanted to know if it came in black stainless steel, and Adrl (salesman and I use the term very loosely) said it came in black, he then said "shiny black". My mom then asked again, if it was black stainless steel, he then said "black is black, they're all the same". Which they are not, so my mom then clarified she didn't want a standard black dishwasher, she wanted stainless steel with the black finish, she was very clear on this as we were also getting a black stainless steel fridge to go with our already black stainless steel stove, he then said "oh yes, it's black stainless steel", my mom then asked again to be sure and he said "yes it's black stainless steel". My mom decided to proceed and then paid a deposit just under 600$ on her debit card. She also asked many times if she was able to change her mind or cancel the order before paying the remaining balance at picking up, and he said yes each time. When we went into pick up the dishwasher it was not stainless steel at all, but a standard shiny black, exactly why she was very clear she didn't want. He then told her that she didn't ask any of these questions, and never clarified that she wanted stainless steel. And then proceeded to tell her that the dishwasher she paid the deposit on doesn't come in stainless steel so she clearly was the one mistaken, funnily enough it does, as we already knew but confirmed after we left this hell on earth. She then said she wanted to cancel the whole order and Adrl got insanely rude, he refused to give her a refund on her deposit back onto her debit card as apparently it's company policy to only refund by mailing out a cheque??!! And that it would take 15 business days. This is insane to me, and should be illegal. If you can take a deposit on debit or credit why on earth can you not do the refund back onto debit?! That makes absolutely no sense and in just opinion is equivalent to theft. They wanted a deposit for their security, so they were protected, but when my mom no longer wanted the dishwasher they had no problem sending her on her way, without her money and she's just supposed to feel secure and trust that this company, that in less than 4 minutes proved they have zero integrity or any sense honesty, she's just supposed to trust that they will honour their word and send her money back?? Why on earth should we believe this? And if this heinous policy of not refunding back to debit is their norm, why on earth was this not verbalized to her at the time of payment? This cannot be ethical in any way, and how it's not illegal is beyond me. I have heard of stores not being able to give cash refunds on large amounts of cash, I have NEVER in my life heard of a company that can take payment on debit and not return the payment to debit. Now my mom does not have a dishwasher, and does not have her 600$. I will be on this company, and posting reviews every day until she gets her $ or the company has been run into the ground and closes their doors. My mom is a senior, she is sweet and she has worked far too hard her entire life to have some lying shady toddler dupe her out of 600$. AVOID CAS if you can. We worked with a salesman, who CAS is aware of, and found what should have been an good experience deteriorate by the end of the transaction. The first sign of an issue was at the end of the transaction and we had paid for the delivery of our appliances. The dishwasher and range hood were special order, but the remaining equipment was on hand to be delivered. When we asked about the delivery for the special ordered items the salesman then said they would not deliver the out of stock items unless we paid them an additional delivery fee. He did not say we had to pay another delivery fee. He stated that the delivery company would not hook up the dishwasher. When we pointed this out he became quite forceful and rude. The delivery company (a separate company) hooked up the washer and dryer and stacked them for us. The items were delivered on Saturday and everything seemed fine. The following Sunday morning (Approximately 12 hours after delivery) the dryer would not work beyond several seconds and shut off. I called CAS and they put me on with our salesman. His response was, "Call the manufacturer" and he hurriedly gave me a number to call. I stated that I would prefer a replacement unit. He said that was not an option and it is now a manufacturer issue and he added that, "CAS does not service or warranty the units, they just sell them." I said I did not feel confident in the level of service and his unwillingness to to do anything regarding delivering a defective machine. I also mentioned the second delivery and noted that a family friend who also purchased there received their equipment in two separate deliveries at no additional cost. The salesman then said with a mixture of arrogance and confidence, "Your friend paid for the second delivery. He just didn't know it. You get me his invoice and I will show you WHERE WE HID IT". Any measure of trust that I had in what this salesman had to say was now gone. Monday morning I called CAS and asked to speak to management as my conversation with our salesperson was alarming in context and the admission of hiding cost. I was told that they had no manager, only sales people. Tuesday morning approximately (36 hours from delivery), the washer was filling with water and shutting itself off. It was filled a third of the way and not draining. I called CAS again, and asked for anyone of authority to speak to. The salesman I spoke to this time was very apologetic to our situation and he put me through to the manager extension and I had to leave a voicemail. I then received a call from CAS customer care who said the manager told them to call me. I explained the situation. I said that I wanted both units replaced. Customer care confirmed that they don't replace any equipment purchased unless the factory tells them to do so. Just to clarify, I asked the following question: "So CAS will sell a piece of equipment that proves to be defective and will not replace the unit?" Her answer was "Yes". "So CAS would not immediately replace a defective unit?" Her response was... "Not all businesses are run the same". So at this point we have neither a washer nor a dryer. The washer is in a state where it can potentially cause water damage to our new home as CAS will not act immediately. CAS has shown no effort to make things right. As an afterthought, be very aware of who you dealing with should you still choose purchase from CAS. The astonishing admissions of hiding charges, selling defective equipment, disregard for customers once the money has been paid is alarming at the very least. The "restocking fee" is a concern. They admitted to not servicing units so what happens to defective units? Under their policies, there is NOTHING stopping them from re-selling and delivering these two defective units to YOU tomorrow. What is the likelihood of both units failing within a day of each other? Were they returns and knowingly defective when delivered? Their policies only work in their favor so please take what I have said seriously. As of today CAS has done nothing to resolve the issue read more

PSA- if you are in the market for kitchen appliances- stay the HELL AWAY from Canadian Appliance Source.. their pricing may be attractive but their after sales customer service is horrendous, in store salesman can't help you, 25% percent restocking fee is non negotiable, was told it was the "ndustry standard" BULLSHIT! I exchanged a hood fan, paid the fee, had to return the 2nd hood fan, paid the fee.. in order to process an exchange or return its all done online, and it forces you to accept the 25% fee before you submit.. waiting for refund on second hood fan, nobody can produce the math that shows me I'm not getting screwed, no detailed invoices exist in this company I guess. 2 different levels of "customer service" don't even bother dealing with the first level. Useless, 2nd level never answers the phone, always voicemail. I've been back to the store 3 times now and laid out exactly what I need to see.. all I get is blank stares.. no in store managers apparently.. was told that 2nd level customer service doesn't work weekends.. found out that was a lie... here's the math I want to see: what I paid for the 1st hood fan, the exchange for the second hood fan and the price, the return of second hood fan and the amount of money that should be returned to me.. worst customer service ever! read more

I got to work with Bill B. to select all the appliances for my new home. The location had a well stocked showroom displaying a variety of price ranges. Bill was so helpful and knowledgeable, he was able to provide options to suit my needs and budget. Who knew appliance shopping could be fun?! Family members that were with me were so pleased that they plan to shop here as well. Only reason I didn't rate 5 stars: other salesman did all his calls on speakerphone and I didn't agree with that decision in an open showroom. read more

BUYER BE WARE. Would rate a zero if I could. I had a bad feeling about this purchase from the onset as I was definitely profiled when walking in to the store (I look younger than I am and don't dress up to shop for appliances). I was greeted nicely upon entering and then was passed off to someone new to the store with limited knowledge on the products. I had researched very thoroughly what I wanted so this didn't bother me. It was the only appliance store in Edmonton that had the range I wanted on display in the showroom which is what brought me in. So I proceeded with the purchase. What they failed to explain at time of purchase is that it is final sale - no exceptions. I received my range on the agreed delivery date. Unfortunately it is defective. I realized this within an hour of it being delivered. I contacted the company immediately. They had me fill out an online form and the next day my request for exchange was denied. DENIED! I have a defective Brand New $4,000 range and my exchange is denied? After 2 hours on the phone of being passed from person to person and even to different companies I am now waiting for a repair technician to come tell me what I already know. Why does this company not support their products or their clients? They could have exchanged this for me and dealt with the defects with the manufacturer like all other stores. Instead I will be without a cooking appliance until the technician arrives and then parts or replacement is ordered. DO NOT BUY WITH THIS COMPANY. read more
