I mean, this will be one of my shorter reviews. There's not much to say about Home Depot that will shock of awe anyone; we all know what it is. A place for the Gardner, contractor or even person that just dreams of some DYI projects around the house that you may not ever even start. But if you did start it, Home Depot is where that journey would begin. I was recently here a few times grabbing heavy duty extension cords and power strips so that we can re do our power distribution system for our racing team. After a few years of racing and traveling, our current cables and outlets used in conjunction with our generator were all beat up. It was time for some new stuff. And I was glad to help out the team by acquiring it all. It helps too that I'm the only one that gets military discounts, and Home Depot offers military discount, so it's a win win. I could help out the team, and do so cheaper than if they went to do it alone. Anyways, go get everything you need for that new project, or just go wander the isles and get lost in day dreams of what could be done. Well stocked shelves. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I went in to get some weed spray by Ortho (year long) (The Already Premixed with the wand). The internet stock showed they had 12 (another Home Depot had sent me over there). I get to the isle, and there is 0. I asked an employee for help. They just said yeah the system says they have 12 but they can't find them. Then finally after I had to go to the customer service desk, they went into a deep search and realized there was a pallet way on top and it had to be taken down, so they closed off the isle and took them down, and I purchased 2. THIS IS WHY COMPANIES ARE HURTING. Employees want tips here and there, or higher wages but no one wants to work. If you know the weed season is here, why don't you just make a display instead of stacking them way on top, makes no sense. SALES ARE DOWN BECAUSE EMPLOYEES ARE NOT WORKING. read more

Today was the last straw. What is it with the workers that you can never find them? Is their a secret door where they chill at? I don't know but tried going during my lunch hour to get some sealer and paint and I might as well have been looking for gold inside a McDonald's bag. I waited for over 20 minutes to get help and the only sales associate was on a lift truck moving stuff around. Besides never being able to find help, their stock is poor to say the least. What a waste of lunch hour. Unless you know what you need and where it's at this is a lost cause. Worst customer service. Only gave it 2 stars cause its closest to my house and have a big plant/flower selection. read more

Every thing went well. I got something at near closing and they stayed after closing to load it in my car

Was shopping for blinds and was approached in store about window replacement, made appointment for a couple weeks out and on day of appointment, the ESTIMATOR CANCELED . I lost half a day because they said in store to block out 1.5-2 hours for appointment so I blocked out my time for it. Was told it was a family emergency, ok, hope things are ok. I rescheduled according to my open schedule a month later and confirmed appointment several times and YEP ESTIMATOR CANCELLED AGAIN!! ANOTHER WASTED TIME. HD needs to figure out a better system because this is unprofessional, unorganized, ill-managed and incompetent behavior to customers that keep their doors open and employees paid! Customer Service should be a priority and if you outsource your window service and they treat your customers this way, they should be re-evaluated. read more

Ordered an item online for in store pickup. I had to purchase a new motor for one of my air conditioners at my nonprofit. The search for this motor was such a pain. I originally ordered from the Home Depot on Mesa, they cancelled my online order because they were out of stock. Ordered from the Rojas location and the order was cancelled and money refunded because they were out of stock. Finally tracked it down to one of the locations farthest from me and thankfully they had it and arranged it for pick up. Upon arriving it was really easy to find the Customer Service desk for online pickup. They were busy but they got through everyone pretty quickly and next thing I knew I was next. Pickup was easy and the staff was incredible. Thank you Home Depot. Definitely did not enjoy the drive but thankful that you had what I was looking for. read more

Management and staff seem oblivious to a looming economic recession by treating customers worse than ever during COVID-19. Don't they realize their jobs are in danger??? Most every time I've gone, I end up walking away and opting for Lowe's or my local nursery instead. Requesting help with an item has always been met with an "if you don't see it there, we don't have it" -- said while they walk away as if saying "why do you pester me with stupid questions, don't you know I'm busy? And yet, things have even gotten even worse!!! I understand they have to comply with regulations, but does common human courtesy have to go out the window? Acting like prison guards will only run customers away. read more

Im a huge fan of Home Depot, they have all the DIY equipment you can practically find. The only thing thats a downfall about this location is that the flowers and plants you get here are pretty much dead. I purchased an annual plant, and tried to revive it but theres just no hope. Due to the extreme heat, these plants need a lot of tlc but the workers here don't seem to care. They sell dead plants and flowers for original price. The employees in the Lawn and Garden area aren't much help. At least the two women who work near the registers. If you purchase plants here, I suggest getting indoor foliage, as they have more shade and are stronger. We purchased shelves here and we absolutely love them. They had a low inventory so we got what we felt looked best, however we came initially for a different color. I've been to nicer Home Depots before, I can't say that I recommend this one. read more

Three times in a row I have come in with very specific needs and the people who helped me not just were able to direct me to where I needed to go but also went with me and helped me answer any questions I had. This afternoon I got the assistance of an older gentleman named STAN, and I wish they would make him a store manager he knows his stuff so well. And he actually cared about getting me the lowest price he could on a very small item. Someone please give this gentleman a big raise! read more

This is one of the better locations it is easy to find & more centrally located if you live in the Eadt side. The staff are friendly & easy to reach. They are willing to spend time with you & answer questions. This afternoon I was in picking up some additional tools but there was only one line open but all the self check out lines were free. Normally I avoid self check out simply because I don't do it well but today there a nice clerk standing right there & she helped me through the process for which I was most grateful. I wouldn't go to any other location. I've been to quite a few if them & this is by far the best! read more

Why is it that every time I have visited this Home Depot location the displayed prices don't jibe with the cash register prices? One gentleman behind me remarked that 'that's just how this place is' or words to that effect. Huh? I refuse to accept mediocrity as the standard. When I asked about the discrepancy, the service-floor representative gave me three different answers after I refuted every one of her nonsensical responses. She even went as far as to blame the pricing mix-up on the vendors who place items for display in the garden shop. No! It is the sole responsibility of management to ensure that things are placed properly, and prices are inputted correctly. Here we are well into the 21st Century, with automation capabilities that would make Issac Newton commit himself to an insane asylum if he woke up today. Yet, this store cannot get its pricing right. My suggestion to management is simple: FIX IT! BTW, when I asked for someone from management, they sent a floor-level employee to handle the situation. read more

Majority of staff have an attitude and lack basic customer service skills. Asked for help locating a dog poop scooper as shown on their website. The employee was an old man , at least 55, who didn't acknowledge my request except to say, "over here," without looking at the product image I was referring to and had in plain view, on my phone. After following the staff member and pointing out the item he neglected to look at in the first place, he said "give me a SKU number." When I showed him the item number and the internet/ catalog item number, he said, "if you want it, you order it online." He then turned his back on me. I get better service at Walmart. And that isn't saying much. It's sad because you would assume that an older person has more experience and is going to know how to complete a simple request. The aisles have large pallets in the way, not ADA friendly. Probably best to continue shopping online. This store needs a makeover. read more

I placed on order online to avoid a big shipping fee. When I arrived at the store I found the online orders counter right away. I of course wasn't prepared so as soon as I got in line I got on my phone and was trying to find my order. I stood in line for about 30 seconds and the lady at the counter, Ann Marie, said to me "I can find it by your phone number." I laughed and made a comment to her like "You knew I was looking up the order." She smiled. When she got my box it was bigger than I thought it was going to be and I told her I wasn't sure if it was going to fit in the truck with the tiller (and 8 bags of top soil). She said she can always take the item out of the box and discard the box for me. She got a basket, put the box inside and took it out to the truck for me. And I was right, it wasn't going to fit. So she cut the box open and we put the item in the truck and she threw the box away from me. She was very polite and had a genuine smile the entire time. So I came here first. This is my home store and most convenient. I've always preferred Home Depot over lowes and I've recently started investing in houses so this is always a first stop. I was severely disappointed in the staff recently. Went in planning to buy 7 windows, a front door, garage door, drywall and a lot of misc items. Started in the millwork department. Took about 15 minutes to get someone to help. When he finally arrived it was clear he wasn't interested in helping and was not listening to what I really needed. Found a front door... Myself....only to discover all three available doors on the floor were damaged. There was one in overhead storage but it was clear he wasn't interested in doing the work it took to help me out. I offered to take one at a discount... Instead they offered to call the west side store and see if they had a suitable door available... Easily an hour drive for me. I then try to get a garage door. They have about 9 in stock and the associate tries to sell me one that will take over a month to come into the store. Still not listening to my needs. He was either annoyed with me or with life in general but either way, it was very clear. At this point I get super frustrated. I have already spent 2 hours here shopping but it's obvious this store doesn't want my money. I leave my cart full of crap and leave. I head over to the Rojas store. I walk into the millwork dept and am immediately greeted and asked if there's anything I need help with. I tell her about the door, garage door and windows. She walks me through every option suitable to my needs. Even offers to help me pick out a door lock set. Gets a cart, helps me load it, corrects a price (without me asking) based on an incorrect label and even makes sure to let the cashier know about it before I get there. Night and day experiences. Yay for the Rojas store that has a plethora of amazing employees that know what customer service really means. Montwood store could use a few lessons. I spent a ton of money that day.... Which I realize doesn't really effect the associates, but it should make a difference. I know customer service, which is a pretty simple task, was what made all the difference for me. I'll definitely be driving a few Miles out of the way from now on read more
