Beware: Home Depot sends all "Need help fast?" emergencies to a 2.0-rated installer with several hundred bad reviews and BBB complaints, and instead of standing up for the customer they make insulting offers and ask you to sign a gag order so you don't write bad reviews when the job is done poorly I called Home Depot's "Need help fast?" number because I had water under my heater, assumed that meant I needed a new water heater, and needed urgent help. That number goes straight to Delta Mechanical, shown as their installer and "100% backed." Delta's own paperwork says they will inspect the area, install the equipment, and test the unit before leaving. They did none of that. The wall behind the heater was soaked, they mounted an expansion tank into that wet wall, which fell out the next day, never came inside to run water or clear the lines, didn't actually test anything, and left. Soon after, there was water under the new heater again. I was at home with a leaking water heater, repeatedly calling and texting Delta asking what to do. They ignored me, and the visit they finally scheduled was a no-show, so I had to hire another licensed plumber to protect my home. They even brought another water heater with them in case the new one had failed, but after inspecting everything they found and repaired a leak in the wall and told me the water heater itself didn't need to be replaced, exactly what any reputable vendor would do. In total, I paid about $1,100 for the original installation with Delta/Home Depot and another $788 to the second plumber just to end up with one proper installation. Home Depot told me my labor warranty was void because I had called someone else. Now Delta and Home Depot are trying to spin this as "just a wall leak" instead of admitting the installer never did the required inspection or testing. Home Depot's response was an insulting offer of $500 tied to a gag order telling me not to talk about this or leave bad reviews, an offer I refused so I could speak up for other customers. On top of that, Home Depot's own site only allows "product" reviews, not true customer service reviews, and they review what you write before deciding whether to post it, which makes it even harder for customers to warn others. With several hundred bad reviews (266 & growing on Yelp alone) and BBB complaints about Delta, it is a reckless, irresponsible business practice for Home Depot to keep sending customers to this repeat offender. Homeowners should know this before trusting that "Need help fast?" phone number and "100% backed" promise. read more

Had a few bad orders and experiences with this Home Depot. Broken items came in and got returned and came back with damage still, which we had no time in the project to reorder and told the store, which did nothing. Ordered a fence panel that was good initially, like a year or two ago, then reordered more and they all came missing an entire picket and with ugly gaps in between the picks and panels. Whole experience with every staff member was ridiculous and nobody helped and most made it worse somehow. Tiffany was the only manager at the store who did anything about this, even though I'm pretty sure it wasn't even her department, and actually solved a problem. Thank you Tiffany. The Home Depot - Had what I needed. Yeah!! - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Flagstaff, Arizona

I bought cabinets at HD August 30,2023. From the day of arrival they were damaged and defected. There were wrong sizes ordered that the cabinet "expert" changed after I ordered, which did not fit my space. I contacted the store for months, until finally in December 2023 the store manager got in contact with me, stating his associates never told him there was any issues. Finally in August 2024 we came to an agreement for a refund. An agreement was signed in which the contract stated to be paid in 21 business days. I never received a check by or on that day. I received a check a day past and it was a fraudulent check that was rejected by Wells Fargo for insufficient funds. I immediately contacted the store manager and HD escalations team, heard nothing back. Fast forward, I was told by Mike at the Home Depot store, that he would help me with discounts on a few small projects for the house as his way of saying "sorry" for what happened. He stated it would be easier to handle at store level. I have texts and recorded calls of him saying he told the escalations department to disregard my legal letter that I requested to be contacted within 14 business days for, because he would help with this small projects at home. He is on recorded call with escalations stating this as well. Now Mike and the escalations team are both lying, saying it was never said, stating I don't get anything back because he discounted a single product in October. Again, after he discussed helping discount a few small projects not one signal project. He also promised ONE cabinet door and I have not received that either. They also have had 2 replacement drawers for my kitchen pantry they were holding, until I had space for them in my home. This was what we agreed to because the amount of doors they were holding would take up an entire bedroom in my home. They discarded those drawers when they were to be dropped off at my home as agreed upon. I now have 2 broken drawers in my pantry that I can't replace because Home Depot took it upon themselves to discard brand new drawers!!!! Mike the store manager has completely stopped responding to me after he promised to take care of this at store level, all while he told me not to speak to escalations anymore either. Now he refuses to answer my calls, or texts. I still don't have my ONE door he promised to replace in "good faith" and I don't have my 2 kitchen pantry doors he discarded without my permission, when he was supposed to drop them off at my house. This is absurd how I'm being treated when this company is in a clear breach of contract, after not getting my check on time and sending a fraudulent one at first. Because it's Home Depot, a large company, they think they can scam and deceive customers and get away with it. Maybe they will, but I will make sure I speak very loudly to let everyone know what they've done. You cannot trust Mike Pooler, the store manager who apparently runs the Flagstaff stores, and cottonwood store. Be very cautious if you have to deal with him. He will make you think he's this great guy who wants to help, then backstab you and lie to you in your face. I had respected him from day one, always thanking him and telling him I appreciated his help, just to be ignored and lied to. I trusted him. Called into plumbing department and the guy didn't even know what a hose fitting was. He sold us water lines with a jic fitting and when I asked him about it he said it should be 3/4". I called to return a generator I bought at this location. The return policy expired 2 days before my call and they told me to bring in the receipt plus the generator so that they could see what they could do. They also said that worst case they would give me store credit. I drove 3 hours to do this since I live in phoenix. This review is for Home Depot installation services. What a mess! I set up a measurement window and was home the whole day no one showed up. However I received an email saying my measurements for a sliding glass door were sent in. I called the store and was assured they would look into it. I received no communication of any kind and a few days later i saw another email that stated my measurements were sent in. I called the store and was told that they showed up on a Sunday and knocked on my door. I was home that whole day also. Not to mention I have 2 dogs that never barked. So, no knock. No call from measurement team either time. So, here I sit, ONE MONTH LATER sitting and waiting again for them to show up. I haven't received any calls and they do not have much time left. Do NOT use this installation service. They obviously lie about work being done, the Home Depot did not keep me up to date on what was happening, and didn't seem too pressed to fix my situation. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I went in to the store to pick up a switch plate blank. I was in the electrical aisle for a few minutes looking for the item with no luck, so I went to the customer service desk where a nice lady said she would page someone. I then waited back in the aisle and saw a person with a orange smock. I approached them waiting for them to get off their phone. That person looked up at me and said, "oh can I help you"? I said yes I'm looking for this item. his response was, I don't work this area". He then turned around and left! So I approached customer service desk again and the very nice said, "I will page them again". I waited about 10 minutes in the aisle. I'm about 10 minutes into this at this point. This is when Sebastian approaches me with a loud voice, "What do you need"? Taken back, I said, I'm looking for the item". I told him the experience I had with this other person still with a raised voice he shouted "who was it"? I explained when you have someone that's been standing here for over 10 minutes. Maybe you shouldn't approach them with a raised voice. I told him what I was looking for and he said, "I can't help you. I don't work this area". Then finally, Scott came over (He does work the area). Scott was very helpful and I was able to get out of there. When you call customer service, and they say, "our teams primary mission is to help our customers". I will let the people judge, but I think their primary mission is just to piss people off in Flagstaff. PS Sebastian you need to go back to customer service class. It should not take over 15 minutes to go into a store to buy an item. read more

The staff has always been so helpful- and what they don't know they find someone that does! Home Depot in general also has some amazing offerings for 12/18/ and 24 month credit deferments for large projects. Makes it really worth while! When you have projects I say come to Home Depot. I had to get on the phone, call customer service and ask what is going on with my order, "sorry sir the delivery company was not able to deliver that package so we just sent it back to your nearest Home Depot" No notification, no email, no phone call, absolutely no type of communication at all. You would think there would be some type of EFFORT to let contractors with "Pro" accounts know if materials are delayed or there was a shipping problem, some sort of communication. But Home Depot is such a large company, they simply do not care, "We lost your business, so what? Theres a line of contractors who will take your spot." Is THIS how you want to be treated by your materials supplier? Is this an acceptable way to do business. The answer is hell no. Find a local, smaller company, buy your materials for large jobs from a contractor supplier, do not use Home Depot in any way shape or form for your professional contracting company, look elsewhere. read more

I purchased three garden hoses through Home Depot online one year ago. they were the new tube-within-a-tube engineering, so lightweight, easy to handle, etc. They were great until they were NOT. A month or two ago I returned one, as it had burst leaks everywhere. the lady at the returns desk (Flagstaff, Rt. 66) found my online order, and made a refund happen. Today, I tried to return the remaining two, which now have multiple leaks, again at the Flagstff, Rt. 66 store, and I was told that, although she could see my order, she "didn't have it in her system"...therefore, no refund was possible. Garden hoses should last more than a year, especially when drained and brought inside during winter. Home Depot should stand behind what they sell, or refund for poor quality. read more

I must say that based on how I was treated as a customer at the Route 66 sore in Flagstaff today, I would have to give them an A+ for customer service. A mature gentleman named Mark assisted me in the power tool department and was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Personality Plus! Then in the Garden Department our cashier was a young Veteran named Tommy who was equally helpful and personable. I think I hit the jackpot today when it came to personnel at The Home Depot. I purchased a large Husky Tool Chest on June 9, 2022. It weight so much a forklift had to load it on our truck and we had to use a tractor to get it off. When we finally got it all together we plugged in the light bar and guess what...nothing. We try it in several plugs no light. Got a hold of customer service to let them know and they said they would look into replacing it, that was June 9, 2022. With several emails back and forth today, October 13, 2022 I finally called them and hear it is in the mail. Well we will see...... I placed an order at the pro desk and was told it was going to be pulled and loaded. An hour later come to find out no one knew about my order and the employee no where to be found. I talked to another employee and said she would take care of it no to worry. 2 hours later could not find that employee. I found a cashier and he was able to convince a few employees to load me. I am at 3 hours and still not loaded I would of loaded the 60 sheets of drywall myself but they were stacked too high to reach. This is very upsetting that home depot allows this happen. Worst experience I've had at a Home Depot and I'm typically a huge fan and frequent shopper, just at other Home Depot locations. The cart corrals were so packed with shopping carts, they were over flowing into the lanes of travel in the parking lot. Several of the signs/letters on the building are missing, further making the exterior look like garbage. The bathroom had to be the biggest disappointment... every toilet was full (hadn't been flushed) little toilet paper squares were literally everywhere, the door was propped open, the walls were filthy...the entire place was just disgusting from the exterior to interior. read more

My boyfriend and I live in another town in AZ and frequent that town's Home Depot almost daily as he is a remodeling contractor. We came to Flagstaff to do a small job and needed some supplies. I wanted to leave this review because we encountered so many friendly and helpful associates. They seemed to really enjoy people and working there. Our little dog also enjoyed the love she got from some associates, especially the ones who kneeled down and let her give them a little smooch. I believe work culture has a direct impact on efficiency, staff recruitment and retention, and overall customer satisfaction. My water heater was 20-years old... YIKES! That's 3 times the normal life. I thought I should get it replaced quickly. I researched standard gas tank units and found that Rheem units seem to always get high ratings, so I checked for a dealer; Home Depot. I called the Home Depot Water Heater Installation Line, and went through a quick process of purchasing the unit and scheduling the installation. Installation for a gas water heater is critical, as its in my basement, it needs to be installed to code, dont' want leaks or carbon monoxide. NO WORRIES, the Home Depot installer, was well experienced, didn't rush, and did the job to perfection. I dropped by from time to time, and noticed that he checked and double checked all connections, made sure the entire installation was to code, and then perfectly finished with a full test. Many new parts were installed in the water lines and gas line to ensure proper and continued fail-safe operation. I heartily recommend the Water Heater Replacement Service offered by the Home Depot. This is the one time, you'll be glad that you "Got yourself into hot water." read more

This has been the most screwed up appliance purchase I've ever had. I own rental properties. I buy a lot of appliances. I purchased 6 appliances for a new rental in the Flagstaff/oak Creek Canyon area. In other words, I bought new appliances for the entire rental property. The older man in appliances department was great to work with. The problem began when 2 or the 6 appliances weren't correct at delivery. One was damaged and one was the wrong size. Trying to get these re-ordered and delivered via TempCo has been the worst experience. If it weren't for the original man in the appliance department (older guy, very knowledgeable), I might have just given up and purchased the refrigerator and microwave in Phoenix and driven it up. (I should have done this.) . I tried calling TempCo as instructed by the staff at Home Depot; both times I was on hold for over 30 minutes and never was able to speak to anyone. Is this Russia? I cannot even begin to describe the issues in trying to get confirmation of my order, refund information, and schedule delivery, Both appliances are to be delivered this Friday and I still have not received the refund on the refrigerator, so we will see if it's still a complete fiasco. Mind you, I have to drive up from Phoenix to receive these so scheduling is important--and trying to get confirmation a few days ahead is impossible. I will never purchase another appliance through Home Depot again, it's a waste of my time. The TempCo experience has been horrendous, the absolute worst customer experience of my life. Treats Veterans haphazardly. After years of using his American Legion Card A or a VFW Membership card, organizations whom vet the validity of Veterans, my husband was told the discount only applied to Active Duty, though he'd used these for years. He asked to see a Manager, at which point a young man stated he was the manager, and that it was corporate policy. He (the manager) could do nothing. So, I researched: "Using government-issued military identification in civilian life to show your military status...is known to put your personal information at risk of being shared or sold to third-parties or, even worse, stolen." In a town like Flagstaff, figure 1% of the population are Veterans (national average) so we're talking roughly 500 - 700 tops. They're out. Then let's talk Active Duty (Recruiters/Students/Camp Navajo/Reserve-Guard). I suspect no more than 250 are eligible, if that. So, truly it's a limited perk for marketing purposes only. We'd planned to purchase some big ticket items, at year end. Won't be doing so at Home Depot any longer. We'll go to the other Home Repair improvement Company in town, who proudly offers Veteran Parking and a 10% discount, with the above mentioned credentials. Thanks for the referral Home Depot. The other organization doesn't discriminate on when you serve(d). read more

The service desk employees act as if it's a bother to place an order. Then, picking the order up was so slow. No one in line, I called 15 minutes to pick up 25 12x12 tiles and I'm still waiting. Last night I specifically asked the service desk to call me IF they DID NOT have all the tiles. She assured me she would call back. I just discovered they have LESS THAN HALF I ordered last night which driving 1.5 hours to and 1.5 hours back to Sedona was a complete waste of time. I WILL NEVER shop in West Store in Flagstaff! My boyfriend and I are building a homestead and need assistance when picking up supplies as this is our first time doing anything like this. Kade was super helpful helping us figure out how much insulation we needed as well as how much sand we needed to level out the ground for under the 5,000 gallon water tank. He advised us that they usually had bulk bags outside and that would be the cheapest way to go, but they were out. My boyfriend asked if he could call the Flagstaff East location to see if they had some and he was super helpful even though it was nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone at the other store that could help us. It was a Sunday and I think the Pro desk was closed, but he found us Adam that was able to help us out. The two of them along with everybody else were super helpful! We did get ahold of someone at the east location that gave us incorrect information about the availability of large bags of sand.. We now know which location to visit when we are in Flagstaff! I am about to put my home for sale and I have been buying a lot of paint and supplies from Home Depot. I also needed a storage bin but as I pulled out a bin the lid to go with it was not on the shelf. I asked an employee passing by to help me. They blankly stared and acted like they were on another planet they said they would find out. Well, guess what they never came back. Three more stops and three more, I will find someone to help you. Nada, nothing, no one! Finally I went over to the pro desk and asked one of the people there for help. He came over and we went down a few aisles and found the lids were stocked up high. He said wait right here I won't leave you I will find someone with a electric ladder vehicle. Guess what, he went back to the pro desk. Finally I saw someone going the opposite direction with the ladder. I yelled and he heard me and a nice lady came too. Both seniors like me with a customer service outlook. He was not coming to help me he was just in the area. They both got me a lid down and I commended them with an asst. manager. Please give new employees an idea of what good customer service is. It was just a lid but it seems like some of these home depot employees that work there wander around looking like a zombie apocalypse. I've been waiting for a kitchen counter installation for 4 months now. I ordered it - paid for it back in June and it was promised in 4 to 6 weeks. Installer changed appointments 3 times and now they say their fabricating machine is broken and HD says they had to order another counter top as there was a problem. WHO KNOWS THE TRUTH. HD was suppose to call me back 4 days ago and promised they would call by the end of the day. DON'T USE THEM - I AM OUT $2500 PLUS I HAVE NO COUNTER TOP. I suggest looking at other home improvement stores first or at least driving to The Home Depot on the other side of town. This Home Depot is the exact opposite of any other Home Depot out there. They seem to have a hard time keeping anything in stock-- especially keeping the website updated, the customer service is deplorable re of the problems, yet they don't fix them. I've used the pickup in store option twice, and both times have been a joke. The first time I ordered a toolbox for my company, thinking it'd be nice for it to be upfront once I got there instead of likely having to wait for a forklift to pull it down. 4 hours later I get a notice saying that it's ready. Once I get there, they take 20 minutes to get it from where it's at. Never asked if I needed help loading it, even though I was obviously by myself. The next pickup in store order: I order two air conditioners that the website said they had in stock since I didn't want them to sell out before I could get there-- for some reason I didn't learn the first time. Well, after about four hours again, I get a notification that they had canceled my order. No phone call, no explanation, just an email saying it was canceled, yet the website said they were still in stock. After contacting corporate they said it was an inventory error, because their website was still showing two in stock. A couple weeks later the website said they had SIX in stock, I went to the store to make sure.... sure enough, I got told it was an "inventory error" on the website. That's right, off by six. Everyone other HD I've been to makes customer service their number one goal, always asking if they can help you, going above and beyond to make sure you have a positive experience. The employees at this store will literally go out of their way to make sure they don't help you. They will stare at the floor walking by you so that you don't ask questions, don't ask if you need help loading heavy (100lb+ ítems), and simply couldn't care less about the customer. Just got back from buying a few small items there. I don't intend on going back for two reasons! First, the store is pure chaos... items are crammed on shelves and items are not organized well. Seriously, a drunk man could have done better organizing the power tools. Second, the employees weren't very friendly. The lady at the cash register was nice, but everyone else seemed to either dislike or hate their job. Although I passed about a dozen employees while in the store no one said anything or offered any assistance. Home Depot... if you read this you seriously need to look at a new store manager.
