Hello, I hope this reaches the right person. I just wanted to share my experience with a worker at Home Depot #2763. I had an issue with my sliding glass door and I had no idea what brand the door was. Alex Nickoloff Millwork Specialist at Home Depot Flint store number #2763 went out of his way to figure out what type of sliding glass door it was. When he didn't know immediately he told me to email him a picture of the barcode and wheels on my sliding glass door and he will get to some research. He researched and went out of his way to figure out the brand of my sliding glass door. He is truly a great worker and these days those are very hard to find. I want him to get recognized because he deserves it. He did not have to go out of his way to help me. Anyways, please give him the recognition he deserves. Hill Rd/Flint-Mundy Twp - This is my favorite Home Depot, although in past the Corunna Rd store has been good too. I like the layout, as Fenton's store is a mess. But this review is a shout-out to an exceptional associate and a great experience. Above and beyond my usual good one. At self-checkout, I encountered 'Jonnie', who helped me to offload several very heavy items so that the UPC could be scanned. Smiling, friendly and helpful!! And beautiful too. I don't like the self checkouts that are the only choice in all HD stores, but she made this anything but. HD could use 100's just like her, and I hope her management know what a great addition she is, and why I make HD my first choice. read more

A recent home renovation meant that I spent a lot of of time at a number of Home Depot locations. This one was nicely located on the way to that house and near a Starbucks (BONUS!!!). We did some returns at this location, bought supplies, etc. Nothing that fascinating or miraculous, just regular shopping at a home improvement store. The staff was friendly and available when we needed help, but the Home Depot app made it easy when we were shopping with the aisle and bay number located right by the product. This is a dull review, which, with a little more work, could be a fine case study. HD is on the path from the airport to my mother's home, so I'd planned a stop at the garden department. Immediately, I spotted a large potted mum for her front porch on the display just outside the gate. I placed it in a cart, and headed inside for an adventure. *Stop one: the garden checkout station. The customer in front of me had a cart full of PVC piping and connections, one of which was unmarked, presenting a time-consuming mystery for the cashier to solve. I decided to try a checkout inside the store. *Stop two: a display near the front entrance, at which a friendly customer service representative tried to interest me in something (was it new windows?) that I could not use. *Stop three: self-serve checkout station. At this point, I discovered there was no bar code or marking of any kind on the potted mum. I asked the attendant whether he could help me out because there was no bar code or price on the potted mum. He picked up the pot, looked at it on all sides, in the foliage, then confirmed that there was no bar code or marking of any kind, which I already knew. I realized he did not have a magical book of bar codes (like some businesses do) so I told him the potted mum was on the display just outside the garden area. He replied that he could not leave his station. I put the mum in the cart, and journeyed on. *Stop four: the display previously visited (stop two) at which I continued my conversation with friendly customer service representative. When I mentioned I was retracing my steps because I could not be served inside, she spotted a manager, and called her over (most helpful action of the day). I explained my problem to the manager, and followed her toward the garden department. *Stop five: I waited at the garden department checkout station (now with a long line) while manager went outside, checked the price on the display. As she rushed toward me, already on her way to do whatever had been interrupted by my request, she told me the price. To which I responded with something like, "Yes, I know the price. But I cannot enter it into the cash register, and your attendants do not seem to know how to do it either." Full understanding dawned, and she motioned me to follow. *Stop six: I waited at a self-service checkout station, while manager and attendant had a brief discussion. She did something with numbers and/or codes, and finally the price appeared on my screen, and I completed checkout. Attendant offered me a bottle of water, which I accepted as a small token of apology for the inconvenience. If I had more time, then I'd continue with answers to questions like, "What good and bad things happened during the shopping experience?" "How are non-routine challenges like this best handled?" "Is a customer like me who buys one item worth the extra effort?" But I don't have the time to analyze, so I'll close with the thought from an old Eagles' song I was singing by the end of this visit: "You can (try to) check out any time you like, but you can never leave." read more

Order cupboards through Hampton Bay. Which is part of Home Depot. Part of the cabinets lost in shipping. The resolution desk got everything correct it got the five missing cupboards in a reasonable time all in perfect condition. I later called to ask for an extra shelf for the pantry just my preference I needed it.They sent me one at no charge. The entire process of ordering the cupboards and getting them was made great by the resolution desk thank you Home Depot for having people that care read more

I purchased a refrigerator on January 15, 2021. My delivery date has been pushed back 4 times. Now my date is April 3,2021. No one from the store has called, explained, nor apologized. The refrigerator was $2300. When I called all they can say is there is a delay due to COVID. How long are they going to use this excuse? It is bad customer service to notify me of each delay via phone or email. I am in the process of looking for another refrigerator because I know that they will delay it again. I will never order appliances from Home Depot again and I have told my awful experience to everyone I know. read more

I ordered a dishwasher online from home depot. The dishwasher was delivered yesterday and installed. When the dishwasher was being delivered the maintenance people disconnected by garbage disposal. They left my garbage disposal sitting in the cabinet, I tried to call Home Depot, and I was on hold for 30 minutes and I was disconnected. I went to text next and received a text 2 hours later, the text said someone would text me in 170 minutes. I never received a text. I paid almost $200 to have my dishwasher installed and 24 hours to decide if I want to keep it, I don't even know if it works or not, I can't use it!!!!!!!!!! I tried calling the company that installed the dishwasher this morning, when I called the woman that answered the phone told me that the repairmen just pulled on the drainage hose and my garbage disposal just fell down. I told her no way a garbage disposal just fell. About a half hour later I received a call from the repairman. He stated the garbage disposal just came off in his hands (story number two). I was trying to find out what happened. This person started threatening me with his lawyer and was nasty. I told him I'm trying to find out what happened and I do not appreciate being threatened. I was informed if one hair off his head fell off in my house his lawyers would take care of. And he has everything taped. He was trying to bully me after he damaged my garbage disposal. All of this from what is supposed to be a reputable company. I hope Home Depot realizes what kind of people they are associating with and can take care of their customers properly. I have a new dishwasher I can't use and now I have to find someone to repair my garbage disposal. I will never purchase anything from Home Depot again. I don't know where to go next since no one answers the phone. Horrible customer service and scary contractors doing service calls. read more

I was having trouble with a gas line leaking while installing my new oven. When I tried to turn the shutoff valve I broke the valve stem. So, I had to put the old line on the oven, then run outside and turn the actual gas meter back on. Run back in the house and see if it was still leaking. It was. So I had to run back and turn the meter off...... 6 Times. At 8:00 P.M. I went to Home depot on Center Rd. in Burton MI. The woman who helped me ( Jennifer K. ) knew my problem, picked out the parts I needed and then wrote a 6 line description on how to hook it up correctly. Graphics and all. I brought it all home, hooked it up as directed and ran out in the dark. Turned on the meter. came back in fully expecting to smell gas. It was all great. I will never shop Home Depot for anything again. We went through them to upgrade our Kitchen a bit. Granite counters, tile backsplash, and a new sink. It was more expensive then most of our friends upgrades and the sink drains forward because they pulled cupboards away from the wall at the top. (Drain is in the back of sink) left holes in our walls and put tile backsplash over holes so it is receding into the wall. Total hack job and it took forever to complete. read more

One of the worst experiences ive had with home depot. Ordered a shower kit and door for it, the shower kit came in damaged and they emailed me and told me the problem and they reordered, ok not a problem. Few days later my door comes in so i pick that up and go home. Opening the packages i find out they gave me the damaged back shower walls, so i drive up there and talk to the kid behind the counter and tell him whats happened and wanted to make sure they ordered a whole new kit because i didnt want to come back and them just give me the shower base. Well take a wild guess what happened. They come out with just the shower base and they are like we already gave you the walls. Of course the kid that i talked to the week before didnt remember me so that was of no help. So they say bring the walls back and we will reorder, ok im mad but i take the shower base and go home and drop it off, grab the walls and head back to the store. So then i get back and the kid goes well you need to return everything so we can order a new kit! Unbelievable! They can order a new base but not the walls separately. So i had to take the walls back home and all this time i brought everything back and returned it and got my 1200 dollars back and i ordered a new one from lowes, and for a better price too. Whoever does your receiving and does your damage control and your reordering, they really suck at their job and cost you a sale and a customer. read more

The employees here were very engaging, helpful and available; which I consider to be a plus in Home Depots favor over their competitors. However, my experience with their on-line ordering and pickup was not quite seamless. No problems using the online tool and text message verification; that was all good and even ready ahead if schedule. However, when I got to the store, the cashier was unable to find my order. In fact, no one was able to find my order, including the person who had supposedly pulled it. 36 ten foot 2x4s and multiple sheets of 8x10 ft plywood should be easy to find. Well, we found it, but then the plywood was not cut as requested and was actually stacked beneath all the 2x4s making it quite a production. Then, despite having prepaid on line and getting my receipt when I entered I was told by my lumber assistant that i had to wait at checkout, so I did. For 15 minutes. And then when it was my turn and I explained what I had to the cashier, she asked me why I was waiting since I had already paid. Lumber was decent quality and fairly priced, everything was pulled as ordered. 4 for the employees, 2 for the experience. read more
