I literally had to come to Home Depot for one nut! My son's scooter is missing a nut so I decided to come and get a replacement. Of course they didn't have the exact one but I was smart enough to take the original and screw it to the proper size screw so I hope it fits. When I walked in there were several employees on the floor but not one single employee greeted me or anyone else walking in after me. That's a little disappointing as a customer, not to be greeted. I don't know if that's protocol because I was always taught in retail to recognize customers with a hello, how are you, or can I help you. Even at the self checkout register, I was never greeted by the representative working. Customer service is everything to me. The cost of the nuts (6-32) I needed was $1.71 with tax for 4. Walked in to this The Home Depot earlier today with the husband and my goodness... !! ...talk about poor customer service at the PRO registers. In the picture, off to the left, Lecette (1), had me and my husband move from one checkout lane to another and kept calling the people from the opposite lane we were in. She had a turtle key chain on her apron, on the heavier side and not a friendly attitude whatsoever. I smiled at her at some point and she just stared and made me feel uncomfortable . Sam (3), as soon as we'd be on the move from the front of "said" wrong line and to the back of the other line, she'd call the person that was literally right behind us in the lane we were originally standing in !!!! She has curly black hair, on the heavier side as well. Rude AF . Cameron (2) however, what a difference in his attitude ! Friendly and professional are two words that I often think of when inside these Orange stores and he filled the shoe 100% on both! Thank you for realizing what your unprofessional, rude, wrongdoing coworkers were doing and helping us get out of there. Today on the other hand, I ran into Gene and while most of the time the workers are kind of grouchy in a hurry Gene was neither of those things he took his time to help me find everything I needed so that I could complete the job that I needed to finish by end of day. Went into the South Fontana Home Depot for some fittings today and after talking with an employee to get me some help and nobody was available so I asked to speak to a manager. I just want to shout out Mr Albert in the electronic department, I have a hard time finding the light bulbs for my home so don't know what they are called but they are different. Now I come here quiet frequently. The fact is this location is the closest to my home and driving any where else is wasting money. So, realistically I'm still going to patronize this location although dealing w: the representatives can be cringe worthy. I've seen that although we as consumers have a voice, huge corporations will continue to allow poor customer service b/c of oversight issues. I understand the employees that really care can't be in all the areas. Today provided me w/ enough juice to yelp about this Home Depot. I interacted w/ 4 employees today and not one asked if I needed help haha. 2 of the employees literally stood next to me as they were in deep conversation about promotion opportunities while one sat on the step ladders and the other leaned on the shelf. I heard a Spanish speaking customer ask both employees If they spoke Spanish and the employee that did just nodded and didn't move a inch. He guided her vaguely and continued his dialogue. This occurred for about 5-6 mins (which isn't long) but in that time span about 15-20 customers walked by these 2 neither offering help. Including myself. As I returned an unused item I advised the cashier that i was going to use that credit for the new items I was purchasing. The cashier returned my item counted the money out to me and put on the counter. After providing me my new total she included the cash on the minus the beat up change she gave me hahaha. The penny looked like it was in the garbage disposal and was beat to shit. I told her you can take the change back too. Garden selection is AWFUL! The variety of plants offered here is horrible! I drive all the way to the Home Depot in Redlands to get a nice variety! Also, went there today, I think this is the last time I am ever stepping foot here. I needed more potting soil so I reluctantly came to this store. The level of customer service here is ridiculous! They hire these kids who won't even say hello to you or even look at you when you walk in. They act like they're being forced to work here. If I could give negative stars I would. I Went to get our family Christmas tree today 12/06/2020 at 12:30pm and had a horrible experience with the tree trimmer guy in the Christmas tree lot. He was the older guy of the two working the stand. He was/is very rude and had a bad attitude not helpful whatsoever I asked him to cut some branches off the tree and to net it, he had me walk around and pay when I returned he handed me back my tree uncut and unwrapped. I was confused and honestly speechless very unprofessional zero customer service skills. I tried to call the store number to speak to customer service rep 3 different times and no answer just rang and rang so I will be calling corporate Monday morning with this disgraceful visit. I discovered my irrigation timer departed at Casa G after I realized my lawn was going brown and a good way to end a Sunday evening with a minor breakdown when you're watching 60 Minutes LOL. Monday after work I had my mind set on Rain Bird because of its reputation in the industry and worth the investment with hardly any recalls I proceeded on my quest. I'm not sure how old my previous unit was but I know that it's over 8 years since we purchased home. At Home Depot for the most part your left alone on any aisle before any floor associate approaches and knowing what you want is definitely a plus. Rain Bird does a super easy job on presentation designed for the "DIY" kind of person with no gender preference. The way it's packaged with a colorful display and Velcro front cover to illustrate key words and features, it basically sells itself which helps promote confidence. The actual replacement took around 45 minutes after figuring out my existing leads to 9 zones or stations which are all color coded. This would also be the right time if you desire to move around your sequence or reassign a new numbering system. Attach your quick connect and 12 volt plug to wall and start programming with year, month, day and time. Program each station with start times X how many cycles per day and week. You can even program to run on odd or even days. You have the option to run up to 4X per day, that's a lot of water multiplied by 9 stations. I do like this added feature called "rain sensor" sold separately. It basically detects rainfall and will automatically override your programming and save you water. That is something I've always forgotten to manually do when rain is in forecast. Bottom of box reads "easiest to use, built to last". Perhaps a 10 year life span or possibly greater.
