Self service systems makes me want to shop at Lowes. I was buying a ladder, it had 5 bar codes/QR codes on it (I counted while waiting on someone to help). After trying the wrong 2 bar codes, the Self service system stopped accepting input and told me to wait for help. 2 employees were there and helping other stuck people. It should have let me kept going through all the bar codes on the ladder until I found the right one. Someone finally got free and helped me (They didn't see the other person waiting longer than me for help). Also, once they released the system and I got to the right bar code for the price, then the condescending employee felt the need to explain how the system worked and that I needed to hit "pay by card", which I was getting to then I needed to tap my card. I needed help getting past their system, not with how it worked. Basically, next time, I'll drive further to Lowes just so I don't have to deal with home depot again. read more

I had made a purchase at the store Arlington, TX, 76018 and returned it to the Grand Prairie, TX, 75052 store and the Manager Kendall said that I cannot return it due to the way it was purchased, which makes no sense at all and after being there for over 10 mins. She refused to complete the return so I had to haul it back to the Arlington store and the cashier said that all she had to do was pick up the phone and call the Arlington store and they could HAVE RELEASED the HOLD status on it and as a MANAGER she should know how to do the return and complete a very simple task! I have been and still am in the CUSTOMER SERVICE business for over 22 years and would never say NO to a VALUE customer without even trying to help and she was quick to say NO. read more

This was just an impulse stop to check out the plants. I did not actually go inside the store. I've been on the lookout for a bougainvillea. And their plant selection looked lovely from the road. They didn't have the particular plant I was looking for, but their selection was great. I was really impressed with their little pepper plants. They had everything from bell peppers, poblano, and ghost peppers. Not to mention the tomato plants and herbs. This store is a joke. I ordered online and received notice that the order was ready. I drove to the store for curbside pickup, checked in and waited 10 minutes. I checked in a second time and waited 10 minutes before I told them I was canceling. Then I got the message that the item wasn't available. I headed to Lowe's and purchased there. Should've gone beforehand. Was it available or not? Who knows, but somehow it was ready for pickup. Go figure! It's time to let these knuckleheads go and drive a little further to a store that knows how to operate. read more

Today I came to this Home Depot twice. The staff at customer service advised me about the Pro Account for contractors. Libbie I believe is her name was super thorough and walked me through using the account. This will save me so much money since we spend so much money here at Home Depot. Also the accounting and access to all my receipts is incredible! I came back the second time just now. Had 1 min to spare and the door was still open! Thank god because most places shuts it done or have someone guarding the door to the minute. Ran to go get my stuff with the help from a young lady at the paint section. She was sweet to take me to the electric aisle. However, we couldn't find it so she tried to call the department person. While she was making the call, I saw a man walked out from the back and he works in that department. As helpful as I been getting from everyone, he pulled his ladder and helped me find my 16-4 inch speaker cable! Bingo! I got the item and the young lady helped me carried it all the way to the counter, set it in the cart, and the staff all worked together to get the sensor tag off for me. This was past 5 minutes of closing and they all helped me accomplished what I needed to finish a job for my client tonight. Now that's call customer service! This Home Depot deserve a staff award for being here twice in a row with exceptional customer service. I hope corporate reads this to reward your staff for their contribution to your company. read more

Came to the store to get fuel for my tiki torches. Couldn't find it on the end cap that the app listed. I was fortunate to meet up with Natalia as she was working in the area. She took note of the SKU and searched for the item inside and outside for at least 15 - 20 minutes. When she came back to let me know she still couldn't locate it she got creative and checked the SKU of the same item in a smaller container. I was here for concrete a while back took a pretty long time thought nothing of it I come back and it takes even longer I needed or forklift for the concrete I had bought but no one would come came inside and asked about 4 times till a guy working in the parking lot getting the shopping carts came and said to ask for Sebastian and I went in and asked and he he came with the forklift and got us out of there waited a hour and 30 minutes.I think you should give Sebastian a raise for actually doing his job and coming to help from wherever he was. read more

The employees are rude. The store is often a mess and out of items. The customer service desk is a joke. I purchased a washer/dryer on 11/26 and was told delivery would be on 12/3. Washer was so badly damaged that the door couldn't be opened. I refused delivery. I finally got a call returned on 12/8 and I was told that I won't get a washer until 12/26. Calling Home Depot gets me transferred and placed on hold or hung up on. Facebook page, e-mail, and corporate numbers haven't responded to my issues. I spent $1200 and I still have to use a dry cleaner. A complete waste of time and money. I will NEVER shop here again. read more

My experience at this Home Depot was drastically different from the majority of the other Yelpers who've posted on this page. I have walked in to this store and been greeted right away. The employees are generally friendly and willing to help you grab a basket or meet other needs you may have as a customer. Their signage is a bit off so I grabbed a bag of ant/bug killer that was not actually the item on sale. When I got to the register and asked for my transaction to be voided, the cashier did so with no attitude whatsoever. If anything was off at this store, it is the parking lot. People are insane and drive really quickly through the parking lot and make it difficult for you to park because they are cutting through spaces they really should not. But that has no effect on the store's rating to me, just something of which shoppers need to be aware. read more

I was approached by a female store clerk on July 21st at 9:51pm who informed me that their registers were closing, but when I advised that I was having trouble finding one last item, she gestured to her wrist, tapping her watch! When you find someone to ask for help, they tell you they can not make a wood cut or find a person who can. I've been using this location for a couple years because I moved right down the street. I thought it was normal for all the hardware bags, electrical stuff, and plumbing connectors to be in the wrong boxes, or piled on the shelf, and mostly out of stock. Nope. Just this horribly managed location. Yesterday I was trying to dig through the massive pile of brass fittings that never get put back where they belong, not finding what I need, as usual. An employee came up and started bothering me about furnaces. I don't care about furnaces, didn't come to talk about them, and am busy trying to find what I need. But he wouldn't shut up about furnaces. Apparently his whole job is to wander around the store harassing people about furnaces. So after a while trying to ignore him, I realized he wasn't going to take the hint, and I wasn't going to find any useful parts in the pile, so I just left. I went 4 miles down the road to the next Home Depot where everything was neatly organized and properly labeled. I immediately found what I needed, didn't need to avoid any stupid furnace salesmen, and was on my way quickly. I wish I had known two years ago that just a couple miles farther down the road there is a location that isn't an absolute disaster. It is most definitely worth your time to drive right past this one and go anywhere else. read more

The store itself is WONDERFUL! The INSTALL department SUCKS! We paid almost $4000 for a front door with sidelight, and waited over 6 weeks for it. They get to my house, and tell us that the door is way too big! WHAT??? The contractor came out originally and measured... how can you get that wrong????? My dad and I went in to rent a van, and the employee Marco was very attentive in helping us. There weren't any vehicles available for rent at the time but he explained to us when we could check back in case one became available. We returned and picked up the van but as soon as we got in were met with the terrible smell of farm animals. Unfortunately, due to time, we were stuck with the smell for several hours before we returned it. When my dad brought up the issue the employee helping us told us that the person who checked it in should have noted it but nothing was. My dad saw Marco and asked him if he had checked it in but it wasn't because he didn't check it out to us. He continued to assist us through the rest of our transaction and I'm happy to say that he really saved our experience. Very grateful for his super customer service skills. read more
