The selection of small tables for the yard was not great. We found one that looked like would work and we went to self check out to pay. It would not take our military discount. After a few tries we went to the checkout the cashier. We told her what happened and she mumbled something. We paid and left. When we got to the parking lot, we looked at the receipt and the veteran's discount was not there. We went back in and told her. She said there was nothing she could do. We went to the return desk and returned it. What poor customer service and insult to veterans. read more

Absolutely love this location and staff! Stopped in to pick up some supplies for moving and needed a color match sample and they were 100% accurate with their match! Can't even tell where the holes were and damage to the walls. Way to go! They even recommended a spray to make the texture look the same as original. read more

I have been to this location a few times over the last few years, but I had a really good visit this past weekend. My wife and I decided to buy our Christmas tree and our usual Christmas tree vendor wasn't in there spot so we decided to check out Home Depot. They had a nice covered tree lot with a variety of sizes and types of trees. We settled on an 8 foot Douglas Fir. The staff grabbed the tree and took it to cut a little off the bottom and wrap it for transportation. The staff then put the tree on top of the car and that was it. It was such a fast and easy process and we did it on Saturday. They also had wreaths and some little free tree stump circles to take for free. They would be perfect for a little arts and crafts with your kids. Now I just wish I had a better stand for my tree, so I may be coming back sooner than later. read more

We came here on a Saturday to look at vanities; there is no one in the department. We hunt around and find an employee but she in not too happy to be helping us, a vanity in the box on the floor I wanted to see open. She said can't do that there are no displays. Really???? just because ? We suppose to buy it w/o touching or seeing the top etc. Once we turned to look at more of them, she's gone. We see another employee who we called over to see if there are two of these white vanities ; she says no..everything on the floor, all unopened plus it's her 2 day on job and doesn't really know anything but someone in kitchen might be able to help. Hence we meet Monica and she at least seems interested in why we are there. I still am not comfortable buying w/o seeing the vanity, so we leave. Now Monica signs us up for 3 handyman to install vanities and a barn door shower to (which we want in our updating the bathroom). I get contacted almost immediately by them and their estimates are ridiculous; over the price of the items.. way over! I sleep on it but I really like the vanity so we decide go back and ask for manager, Chris comes to help. I explain I want to see a vanity before I buy and they have about 10 more to sell but no display. Now Chris is a wonderful representative of Home Depot; he is eager to open one of the boxes and show it to us. He does and we buy the opened one! read more

Ernie and I went in to purchase a few things. On our way out, this man saw I drive a truck. So, he told me I could shovel up as much mulch and I wanted and grass squares too! Never in my life would I of dreamed someone would tells us the "help yourself"! So, Ernie and I did. It was a dirty job, but for free? No problem. I assume that it was a mistake order or something. I've only been to this Home Depot location once to get a refund and had a great experience with customer service. They were very nice and willing to help with my refund. They were having system issues when I went in, it seems that Home Depot might need to update the processes in their systems because the associate has to go through several screens to issue a refund. read more

I always love going to Home Depot, it's the man's version of Target. Unfortunately, and this isn't exclusive to Home Depot but a factor of our own need to put people out of work and corporate greed, they only had 1 register open (not counting self checkout). There's tons of materials that require someone at the register to manage...so there was a long line. Did any of the 8 different employees who walked by in my 20+ minute wait offer to jump on a register, or get a manager to help out? Nope. So while there was no one at the self checkout, no one could help all of us in line for the one register. Customer service at checkout needs help. read more

After having just returned from this store, I humbly submit this 3 star rating. It breaks down thusly: 1 star for this store's telephone customer service system. Official FAIL. Called the store 6 times to try to get info on a door installation order - no dice. All 6 calls were eventually dropped from their end while I was on interminable hold. Went to the store (having no option), and waited at the Doors desk way too long, with one employee serving one customer, with no progress whatsoever seemingly being made. And when I got back up to the front of store.......... It's 4 stars for Maddie, the heroine of this story. She went above and beyond to serve me - the customer. Took my number in her little efficient notebook, and said "if someone from Doors does not call you on Monday, I will call you on Monday". Thanks, Maddie, you're the store's MVP. No Military discount except for special days of the year according to cashier Cheryl. Very inconsistent as to whether they accept and apply the discount. So for less than $80 sale which would've cost them $8 discount, I walked out and they lost a customer for life. I will close my Home Depot account when I get home. I stopped at Target and as I drove by I noticed a big red bright sign that said Nursery...(lol) I had to stop and check out the new pretty bright colored tulips and new cactus plants. I'm lying I came to see if I saw any Monarch eggs or caterpillars on the milkweeds. I found one egg on a leaf of course I picked that one. Since it started to get dark I just picked up a entire crate. They have full blossoms of lavender and even some lime trees with tiny limes growing. read more

I have been to this location on several occasions, and while it normally is just a run of the mill trip when I need to pick up something small, this was a bit different. I was on the search for a washer and dryer..one that didn't have too much techy stuff to it, and was in the price range I was looking for. I was assisted by Larry, and let me tell you, he was awesome! I picked out a set that he said he had purchased recently for his home, and he liked them. We made conversation while he processed everything and he was just so nice. I set up delivery and was on may way. A little while later they were delivered and set up, to include a test run to make sure everything was connected correctly. They are perfect, and I know where I will be heading for appliance needs in the future! read more

On April 5, 2023, I made a purchase through one of the self-check lanes at the Home Depot located at 9021 Southside Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32256. Upon entering the lanes, I greeted associate Ricardo, but did not receive a greeting in return. I proceeded to go to one of the lanes and pick up the scanning tool to scan my items in my cart and Ricardo came over, took the tool from me and said that he would assist me. I told him that I am a regular customer at Home Depot and knew how to use the tool, and I did not require assistance. He then told me "I got it," and proceeded to ring up my items. I stood back as he rang up my nine small items (8 of which were the same item) and then asked me to swipe my card. I informed him that my Home Depot credit card does not swipe from overuse of the card's magnetic strip and that I would need to enter my social security number. He brought up the screen and I put in my social into the card reader. The next step was for my identification number to be typed onto the screen. As I am a regular customer, I always show my identification to the employee and they then tell me to put in my own identification number. However, Ricardo said that he would do it so that "everything was okay." As he waited for me to get my identification out, a couple with a flat bed of paint, caulk items, and many other miscellaneous items walked to the self-check lane to the left of me. I told him that I could handle it from this point and he could go and assist the couple since they had far more items than I did. He said they were fine and he would finish with me. As he struggled to type in my identification number, I watched the couple behind me as they did not ring up several of their items with the scanning tool. I again told Ricardo, "you may want to assist them because they seem to be having issues ringing up their items and they have way more items than I do." At this point, Ricardo ignored me and asked me how I would like my receipt. As I got my receipt, I stood to watch how Ricardo interacted with the couple who then hurried to put the scan tool away and begin their payment method before Ricardo could come over. He walked to them and smiled, but did not take over their transaction in the way that he did mine. After I finished watching this interaction, I walked back over to the customer service desk where my sister was finishing her transaction of purchasing a new washer and dryer for her home. She saw that I was visibly upset and asked what was wrong. I told her that I felt as though the self-check employee, Ricardo, thought that I was going to steal my items. The customer service representative, Floyd, overheard me and said "oh, people steal so much from this store" and began to chuckle. I did not find the matter funny, and this only confirmed my suspicions. Ricardo thought that I was going to steal from the store and that is why he insisted on ringing up my items and then stood around to ensure that my payment cleared before walking away. I do not appreciate this treatment from your employee. I feel as though this incident was racially motivated as the couple who did not get the same overbearing treatment as I did was of a different race than myself. I have never stolen from any company, and while I understand the need for risk management, I feel that Ricardo's treatment was unwarranted, stereotypical, and degrading. I am a frequent customer of Home Depot, so I know that this is not the norm for how your employees treat customers. However, I will be writing reviews on all major review boards to inform customers to be leery when approaching this store and this employee. I am asking that someone please contact this store and properly train Ricardo on how he can ensure that other customers do not leave your company feeling as low as I felt after making my purchase. read more

So I went this morning in the cold 35 degree weather to complete my move to the area. I arrived early to reserve a cargo van. As I was outside waiting to be the first and not miss out a gentleman from inside Bob L. Opened the door and greeted me. Understanding how cold it was he allowed me to stand in the front section of his dept while the store was about to open in a few minutes. Bob, from the minute I was greeted to going over the van to the return of the vehicle show amazing customer service skills and always addressed me by my first name. He truly went the extra mile to make my experience a positive one as transitioning to a new area is not always a pleasant experience. I truly wish there were more employees like Bob. A truly outstanding employee that should be recognized! read more

So I'm newly poor AKA I just bought a house. Accordingly, I have been to Home Depot about a half dozen times in the past week. This is my local Home Depot so this is my go to place anyways. I have consistently found prices and selection to be better at the Depot than Lowes. As with any large retail establishment, you get good workers and not so good workers. There was the awesome guy who told me about appliances and then the slightly incompetent guy who sold me my washer & dryer and had computer issues. Then there was the guy who scouted the store for me to find a gas siphon and the older guy in doors who gave me a once over I didn't appreciate. My most recent visit I needed a shelf and it took 30+ minutes to find it. The employee, Michael C, took it as his mission to find my shelf. Like he got the ladder to get the sku, checked inventory and saw there were 12. Got a forklift to get a pallet but they were the wrong color. Found another pallet and grabbed the electric ladder but the battery was dead. So he got another electric ladder and found my shelf. It was crazy but he was determined and I was very happy. I overall have many more positive than negative experiences here, whether purchasing or returning items. And I recently found out the survey printed on the receipt is important - employees can get bonuses/awards for them. Just make sure if you want to help the employee, you leave all positives and mention them by name. read more

I think this is probably the first (or one of the few) THD I've found where the sales associates are actually at hand all the time. You don't have to look for them for hours, the get to you, ask you if you need something, are helpful, take you to where you need to go to find the stuff you're looking for... I was just along for the ride, as I didn't actually need to buy anything l, but the person I went with and I got treated as every other The Home Depot Store I've gone only says they treat you. Not an actual in - store review Must say it was a relatively easy and fluent process to order what was needed and have it delivered the next morning, this order was placed at 8pm the night before delivery. the cost factor for the order was cheaper then if i ordered from other online suppliers and had it shipped in 2-3 days, it came on time and just as if i went to the store and got it. naturally this may not be helpful for most, but if you are ones like myself that may be saving on cost and not having multiple auto expenses, this fills a void to do work around the house at a much lower cost and less work and less time out of your schedule. DO NOT BUY MAJOR APPLIANCES HERE! The problem here isn't only with Home Depot, but the third party company (In our case DFI) they hire to deliver their appliances. Our new $900+ GE Range was actually electrically wired by one of these delivery men and, needless to say, he was no electrician. The range never functioned well and, after nine months, went dark completely. The GE Repairman showed me the loose wires and burned electrical harness. To top it off, the replacement part won't arrive in Jacksonville for another five weeks. NEVER AGAIN! read more

Don't have anything delivered, they use couriers and every time it's messed up. You take off work and the deliveries are canceled or changed the same day as the delivery date. This is my review from their courier Blue Streak and Estes: Had a delivery from Home Depot who used Estes moving who then used Blue Streak movers. First date they told me the delivery would be on a Thursday, I set up that they could drop it in my driveway instead of making an appointment. On Thursday I get a message saying they could deliver it on Saturday between 8am and 12pm. I called and of course the girl that I talked to had every excuse known to man. I told her I was not happy and that I had already taken off work and now I will have to take off work on Saturday, she hung up on me. So now it's Saturday and of course it's 15 to 12pm and it's not here. read more

This is for the Christmas decor and tree selections only. We got our tree here last year (in November) so we thought we would get this year's here. We apparently waited too late. There was exactly one 8-9 ft tree left (and that was the largest we could find in stock). They had pricing for larger trees but with no one to ask (we walked around for 1/2 hour just in the live tree section) we opted for the last 8-9 ft. It is beautiful (minus the 1/2 foot of dead limbs). The inside holiday decor has also been picked over and I'm assuming they will get more in soon (otherwise the selection is limited). The only people I could find working here were the two extremely hard working folks in the tree trim and wrap section. I will absolutely look elsewhere for our tree next year as I really want a full 10-12 ft tree without dead limbs. The prices however are great for a tree. I left with only spending $78 for a live tree and disposal bag (a must buy if you get a live tree in my opinion). read more

I ran in the other day to get some air filters, caulk, and super glue. A very nice worker helped me find caulk and pointed me in the direction of the air filters. When I got close to the air filter aisle I ran into two employees just chatting and asked where the air filters were. They just pointed and continued with their conversation. Didn't bother to ask if I needed help. I'm not impressed with the service at Home Depot but I also didn't expect much because service has never been great. I wish I got the name of the one worker who was great so I could give them adequate praise. read more

Ah, The Home Depot. The character of a warehouse and the charm of.... a warehouse. Walked in on a Sunday late afternoon and though somewhat busy it wasn't too bad at all. I was greeted by a very nice woman as I walked toward the lumber department that I was coming for. My wife and I found the piece we needed quickly and without incident but needed it cut. Therein was the issue... We waited around for a good ten minutes for the guy to come cut the board. The guy who alerted him to our presence was super helpful and came back to check on us as we still hadn't been helped. The guy showed up, apologized and cut the piece and we were on our way. My experience is indicative of what I expect when I go there so I wasn't upset by it. The employees were friendly and that's all I really ever ask. read more

I bought interlocking Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring in July of 2018. I was told they couldn't install until September 4, 2018. They delivered the material on August 25, 2018. On September 4, 2018 they came to install my flooring. They moved the furniture and took half of the carpet out of the family room then proceeded to install the flooring. After they put 10 pieces in they said the material was defective and Home Depot would call me. Well Home Depot called and said that I needed to pick new flooring since all of it was defective. So I went the same evening and picked new flooring which was more expense(bait and switch). It wasn't exactly what I wanted but they said they could deliver it the next day and would have the installers back to put it in. Never heard a word from anyone so I called to find out what was going on. I get a phone call back from the flooring manager and he said they didn't deliver the new flooring because they couldn't get an installer back until September 17, 2018. So my house is all torn up and furniture everywhere and Home Depot doesn't care. I called Home Depot corporation and they said someone would contact me in 24 to 48 hours. All of this is not how a professional company should be run. read more

Typical Home Depot in a Saturday: crowded. I was stopped by a lady offering water filtration for the house. Told her I didn't need it, she kept asking questions, even though you could tell I was not interested. Didn't have one employee offer assistance, and at checkout, the employee who was there was not too interested in us either. Parks lot was crazy and packed.
