I went to this location specifically for the tool rentals. I got 4 second hand bar stools for my kitchen island that are two inches too tall. I needed to rent a power tool to cut the legs and make the bar stools shorter. When I arrived at the tool rental area I was greeted by an older gentleman. I explained to him my project and he walked me over to a few tools and showed me my options and explained them to me. He also informed me that some tools i would need to buy blades for them. He then took me to the blades section and told me which ones I needed. After doing the math for the rental and blades ($23 for a day rental and $15 blades) I decided to buy a hand saw instead. He walked me to the saw aisle and helped me pick one out. I went home with a $20 hand saw that has guides to cut materias in different angles. I used the saw to cut the legs already and it works great. I am happy with my purchase and the assistance I received. I also love that I have a new tool for future use and didn't just rent one. read more

So have you ever called The Home Depot? Their recording talks about safety over and over again but the question is do they really mean it? That answer is no they don't I say this because I rented a van from them and this thing was a rolling death trap as it had dents all over it the inside was filthy and it was beyond unsafe! So I rented this van to do some moving while on the road I'm outside of Savanna Georgia on my journey and all of a sudden the whole window the one in front of the one you can roll up and down just flys out with a loud bang the glass fly's behind me hitting the car behind me I stop to talk with them and thankfully they were ok. This window has nothing to do with me as someone had damaged it before and Home Depot just left it unsafe had this window imploded the other way I'm sure the shards of glass could have gone straight into my eyes and body needless to say I'm very thankful that this didn't happen as I'm sure I wouldn't be here today to write this. So after that incident I pulled off the freeway and called the store and who was I lucky enough to talk to their Manager Damien and let me say it's been sometime since I've encountered such a rude, hostile, sexist, and just downright disrespectful male shovenist jerk like this he immediately started to downplay the situation and my safety as well as talking down to me with a very rude demeanor clearly he thinks men are superior to women with the way this conversation went as he really didn't care about my situation or the fact that had this gone the other way I could have died. So Damien's wonderful solution to the problem was for me to drive the van back to the store and exchange it for another one and he would compensate me for one day of the rental I tried to explain to him how much that would have cost me in gas to drive that far back out of my way and then back in the direction I was going again and he could careless as I wasn't about to spend the $350+ in gas just to do what his solution was and to be out of range for my timeframe that I needed this van for. So after a few minutes of trying to explain this to him he starts saying your just mad because I won't give you what you want and what I wanted was to be compensated for my rental as this was a safety issue I'm sure that's not to much to ask for a big corporation like this seeing that this could have been a lot worse and for the fact that I now had to drive with this broken window which ended up getting me soaking wet from the rain along with the heat as now using the AC was pointless as it was all being sucked out the window and let's not forget that I can't secure the van now because all you have to do to unlock it is just reach in the window. Now if all that wasn't enough I decided to reach out to corporate for help and let's just say that really got nowhere as they are sooo disorganized that no one really knows or cares what's going on so this whole situation escalated up to two weeks after I returned the van as I refused to pay for it because of what happened as this was just not right you don't rent a vehicle that has clear safety issues like this so two weeks later they finally decide to give me half off of my rental after me continuing to fight with them about this situation. Just to fight with them that long to get what they gave me was wrong this should have been fully compensated as it was a safety issue and then the rude attitude that their manager showed me was just icing on the cake for a already terrible situation. So after I realized that they weren't going to give me much of anything for this rental I went to pay for it and as I was doing so one of their other managers told me that it's good I came to pay for it before they sent this to collections had that happened I would have looked into getting an attorney as this was uncalled for on just soo many levels of Home Depot not doing what's right. Overall horrible customer service a manager Damien who clearly hates women as well his job and a van that had safety issues of where someone could have died, this was one of the few times I've ever even set foot inside a Home Depot and I can assure you that it will be my last as everything that they did was just horrible customer service and never once did I feel safe when driving their vehicle. read more

The worst customer service in the area. Our family does A LOT of home renovations. We went in to return our new and unused supplies within 7 days of purchase and the representative at returns gave us the third degree. "Why do you have so many receipts?" "Why are you returning your items?" "I can't give you a refund, only store credit because I've already started scanning the items before you found the correct receipt." He legit grabbed the returns out of our hands and were flinging them around as to break them as we wouldn't get a refund. Every time he scanned an item, he'd shake his head, sigh, and mumble. I've never met someone so upset at being employed or treat a customer who spends tens of thousands of dollars at their store with such disrespect. We purchased new custom closet systems from Home Depot. We were told that the system was custom fitted to our closets. Not true, they used premade kits that we could have easily purchased 3 months sooner. We were told that the product was solid wood. It's not it's MDF. MDF is particle board. The salesperson and her manager told when we complained that MDF IS WOOD. That's equivalent to saying that steak and hamburger are the same product because they're both beef. We paid a steak premium price for ground beef. We've tried for 3 months to get some resolution to our complaint. The sales manager from Jacksonville was covering for the local manager and promised to get back to us. He never did. I complained to corporate customer service and again received no response. Don't buy from Home Depot, our neighbors are happy with closet monkey and closets by design. We should have gone with those companies read more

The big orange box keeps us coming back because they have what we need when it comes to home care. From flowers for the beds to tools for our shed they have great prices and good customer service at a resonable price. I can't way we always find what we need and we havne't had our issues here but for the most part we have started many home projects and the Depot. I really like the fact that you can order items online and have them shipped to store at no cost now. It makes it so easy, especially when they are out of that item in the store. read more

I like Home Depot....Maybe I like the fact that it's right across the street from my condo...So it's a very convenient place. I did go a few weeks ago to pick some color swatches from the paint department and look around at medicine cabinets...didn't buy anything. I did get help from a very nice gentleman who remembered me when I went back a few days later...I was looking for a new door lock for the front door and priced a few. Didn't buy the lock, found a cheaper (and same) one at Target. But both previous visits were very brief. On Monday I went to make a few copies of the new front door key and buy a bug repelling light for outside the door. Finding the light was quick and easy. Picking a fun printed key was a little hard. But once I got my key, I stood and talked to the man making the keys. It took less than 5 minutes and it was fun to watch him work. He was quick! The store was very clean and I actually was able to find someone to help me find where the light was. Sometimes I visit and it takes several minutes to find someone who works there if you have questions. But on this visit everything was great! I know I'll be back here...if it's convenience or the people, I don't know. I like to browse the store. read more

My boyfriend and I went to Home Depot to get some lumber for a home project we have. We asked the staff if they could cut the lumber in half for us so we could transport it. They said ok and took us back to the saw. There was an out of order sign on the saw, apparently the staff had no idea about this so they went to check with someone to see if it was out of order. Eventually they came back to confirm it was out of order and that's all they told us. We were not the only people waiting to use it so none of us could buy our lumber today. There's two things wrong with this situation. 1.) You are a Home Depot. Selling lumber is what you do. Getting that saw fixed should be pretty high priority. 2.) None of the staff we talked to even knew that the saw was out of order except for the whoever confirmed it was broken which means it most likely isn't being rushed to get fixed and who knows how long it has been this way. We are currently headed to Lowe's and if all goes well we will go there from now on. read more

I've been looking for a certain item for my garden for a long time now and I keep missing it when stores have it in stock. I have looked at many different home improvement stores and online. I searched for it recently and found some online at a highly inflated price. I found a listing with their competition but there were none in stock online or at any local location. I searched Home Depot online and they showed inventory available in this location only for local stores. They are a bit of a drive but it was worth it for the quantity I needed, plus there were other stops in the area I could make. Upon arriving at the store it was a bit confusing if they were sanitizing carts and which ones they might be. Employees were mostly wearing masks and were helpful if approached. One employee was out in the garden center on a personal phone call with their mask off the whole time we were looking for what we needed and shopped some other items. I have to admit I am much happier shopping them online but I did get what I needed along with a few other items. read more

Beware of this place! Locals and contractors alike know that this Home Depot is a human wasteland. The employees were crying in any which direction in purposely lead you the wrong way when you ask where something is in the store, which is poorly organized compared to other Home Depot's. I have dealt with at least three dozen Home Depot locations in the past year of business and have never had an experience quite as horrendous as the one I experience on Vine Street. This place is a magnet for bad energy! Management is incompetent and engages in a lot of finger-pointing and lying. When I had a very high stress situation caused by them, I asked to speak to the store manager and I only got so far is the assistant manager. He lied and told me he had two customers to check out returned the line 30 seconds later and asked for my phone number and name and was going to see if the manager was available and told me she would call me back. It was on Friday afternoon at around 3 PM. The assistant manager, who seemed Harmless enough, went out of his way to lie to me and tell me that his manager was in a board meeting. We had about a 10 minute phone call during which he lied to me three times. What kind of hardware store has board meetings on a Friday afternoon? They also tried do use Cove it as an excuse for their incompetence and lack of accountability. This is important to note becausethese guys call cops on their customers for being late with a rental vehicle even when said customer is attempting to pay! They did not properly notify or document any type of lateness on his rental, which he had called and extended. The tool and service department is definitely the worst here, they were on the phone with me and the officer who pulled over my unassuming friend and we're willing to take payment until Carlos, the manager refused payment and said it was out of his hands. It seems a bit malicious and litigious to waste define officers time with no apparent solution. I wasted three hours on a Friday afternoon in the middle of a pandemic at least trying to talk to someone competent in the store. That did not happen. They were not willing to work with me or handle anything civilly and we're only satisfied by making and arrest. What kind of people do that? I was racking my brain trying to figure out what they want. If something needed to be paid, we would pay it I offered to pay it they had a credit card they had the deposit there was no reason for them to do what they did. And there's also no reason for them to not work with me when the officers waited patiently for us to reach a civil resolution which would've occurred in any other situation. They didn't want the money they couldn't process the payment, which begs the question what do they want? What they want is for the world to be a worse off place! read more

I am handicapped and cannot walk very well. Today I went to Home Depot to pick up an order that I made online. The pick up boxes are inside the front entrance, the center of the store. I parked in the handicapped area so I didn't have to walk so far to the front entrance. After easily retrieving my package from the pick up service, I returned to the front door to go straightaway to my car, but was stopped. The door would not automatically open. I was informed that it's an entrance not an exit. That forced me to walk all the way down to the end of the store on my bad knee, go out the exit near the lumber, and then walk all the way back to the center of the store in the front handicapped parking. Whose stupid engineering was that? Second visit. Where is the help? I needed a piece of plywood cut in the back of the store, had to walk all the way to the front of the store to get somebody's attention, walked back to the back of the store, no one. 15 minute wait. Still handicapped, and that's a lot of walking back-and-forth in a big store. I'm going to Lowe's next time. read more

I'm not really writing about Home Depot, but this Home Depot is just like any other ones except one thing: They have the best hot dog/sausage stand anywhere!! You just need to go get your stuff at Home Depot, preferably around lunch time, and then get yourself an awesome Italian Sausage for 3 bucks! The guy serving it is very nice and loves the way he says, "ice cold coke" if you also buy a can of coke! Priceless! I don't know what he put in that sausage or where he got it from but it tastes so damn good! I only put 3 things on it: grilled onion, sweet onion sauce and sauerkraut. I told my wife about it and it must be the way I was describing the guy's "sausage" that "tastes good" and she couldn't stop laughing and gave me the strange look! Whatever! Anyway, Home Depot is awesome, and most of of the stores will have a food stand in front serving their customers. I tried most of them and none compared to this particular location. We were very excited to get a new front door and figured Home Depot would treat us well. That was the furthest from the truth. We have tried to exercise patience, we understand it's a pandemic, but this experience was just ridiculous. We first went to arrange a measurement taking and the guy servicing us was watching anime on his phone - I get it it was slow but come on. He then didn't understand the process, tried to tell us we could only get a door we didn't want and had to get another worker to walk him through how to get us measurements. We were willing to let this slide. We got the measurements taken and the local man who did it was wonderful, so we figured the first man was a fluke. This was also incorrect. We had a meeting schedule to get our door today at 1:30. The man working called the man we were meeting who was named Joe. 10 minutes pass Joe doesn't appear, he get re-paged. 5 more minutes pass - we are now 15 minutes into our 30 minute appointment - the man who paged him had to go hunt him down. Joe showed up 18 minutes late into our 30 minute appointment with an attitude, didn't apologize, didn't offer any reason for his lateness and then refused to give us our measurements when we were told we could receive a copy. Instead of making any attempt to save the sale he just dismissed us and we left with no measurements and no more progress on our door. We were warned about Home Depot being terrible at doors but now we know first hand. DONT go to this Home Depot for anything door related. I'm so disappointed from this entire experience . read more

I came here to buy some stuff for my pool . I usually have very bad allergies during the summer . I was paying and I started coughing I cover my mouth and right away I put some hand sanitizer on my hands (I always carry one in my purse) and this lady Peggy looks at another coworker and said I need to start walking with a can of Lysol because I can't stand this . HOme Depot customer service is useless. They don't answer the phone for 30 minutes then when you do talk with someone nothing gets done. I was overcharged for scaffolding and now they tell me its beyond 90 days so you are out of luck. Even though I had called prior and they said they would review the issue and get back with me. I like the convenience of this store. It is close to where I work. This store is located on US 192 in the heart of Kissimmee on the main strip. It has been here at least the last 15 years. This particular store had been going down hill for a while. There had never seemed to be an employee around that you could ask questions to. They for the most part have seemed to correct that problem. Now you can find employees just standing around, they may not know where things are but they attempt to be helpful. That was not always the case here. I have run into the problem of something that says its in stock, not really being in stock but usually can find it in another location. Their prices on pretty much everything, beat Lowe's prices hands down. The store other than the stocking issues seems well kept and as organized as it could be. I have never had a problem with returning an item at this location as I have had with others locations. The bathrooms always seem clean when I have used them. This location does seem to have a good plant section. read more

Came to Home Depot today to look at some flooring options for my home. I was promptly greated in the flooring dept. By John, a very helpful young man that spent so much time explaining everything there was to know about our options. He was very patient, he showed me everything from laminate to vinyl tile. I could not have asked for a more helpful associate. Then I went to the paint dept. where I had the pleasure of meeting Mike from paint. He was extremely helpful and told me exactly what I needed for my project. I was so impressed by the service I received today at this location. I would have given them a 5 but they were out of stock on basically everything I needed for my projects! I now know everything I need but have to drive to another Home Depot to purchase it all. read more
