I usually visit the Toole's Ace Hardware on Orange Avenue, but I was directed to the Conway store relative to my delivery area. I purchased a Weber grill and wanted the free setup and delivery that comes with an Ace Rewards membership. The app stated I needed to choose the Conway location for delivery. On Monday, I was contacted by John to schedule the delivery. I was provided various time periods and I selected the 2-4pm slot. Around 2:30pm, Justin arrived and provided 5-star delivery service. Not only did he deliver the grill off the truck and to my garage, but he also asked if I wanted him to install the propane tank to the grill. He demonstrated various other parts of the grill such as the match lighting attachment (if ever needed) and the knob in the back that holds the propane tank in place. Justin turned on the burners and recommended I complete a one-time burn off of any residue from the manufacturing oils, preventing them from flavoring the food when using the grill for the first time. He went above and beyond in my opinion as part of the delivery process. The Conway Toole's is lucky to have him! Based on my experiences with both the Orange Avenue and Conway locations, I can say Toole management knows how to hire qualified and exceptional team members. Their business practices support my belief that Toole's is so much better than those big box hardware stores when it comes to customer satisfaction. read more

Called the Curry Ford location where my key was made and reprogrammed last year to see if they could replace a defective (poorly made) key with buttons that barely opened my car and eventually snapped at the base of the van key.... I was put on hold and they never came back in the line... I called again and spoke to a woman who claimed she was the store manager.. who basically told me broken or not, it doesn't matter I'd still had to pay $200+ for another one and that it's just wear and tear... (meaning every year I'd have to buy another one based on how poorly they were made considering how overpriced it was). She mentioned that I could also take a risk by buying it on Amazon but that they only reprogrammed their keys only. No help. Shit service and poor client retention skills!!! They need to do better! read more

If I could give them 10 stars I would. I went there to have a car key fob battery replaced. I wasn't even aware they did this service and was truly amazed at the prompt, friendly and efficient service I received. I initially thought oh my I have to go to the car dealer, make an appt. pay lot of money for something so simple. Someone told me ACE did this and to my surprise they do. I went in and I was greeted by Debbie, and Melanie removed the old battery and installed the new one, all I had to pay for was the battery. I was in and out of the store in probably under 10-15 minutes and around $5.00 later I was out the door. I cannot tell you what a great experience this was but I will certainly tell all my friends. I've been a customer of ACE this store and on Aloma for years and shopped various things and I am ALWAYS impressed with the personal service and HELPFUL too. The big box stores just don't have that personal touch. I will always go to ACE first before I go anywhere else. I love this place. read more

Outstanding customer service! Had a huge problem with a paint color for a rental property going on the market the next day, ran up to Ace as it was about to close, and Melanie was there, patient and diligent to resolve my problem. She was extremely knowledgeable of paints, primers, colors, and brushes to help guide me through correcting this massive mistake on my part. She assured me that she'd be working the next day (holiday) and to come back if I was still unhappy with the door color or had any other concerns. Everything she recommended worked perfectly. I was extremely happy with the new result! I'm so thankful Melanie was there and eagerly happy to assist me!! I have visited this Ace Hardware on two occasions. On my first occasion I was helped by the assistant manager, Jake. I needed some information on a Big Green Egg. Let me tell you, Jake is in the man. He knows all about those cookers. He answered all of my questions, and gave me some literature so that I may review at my leisure. During my second visit, I came with my son, and asked to see Jake. Luckily, he was there. I pulled the trigger on the Big Green Egg. Jake put my package altogether, assisted us with loading it onto my sons pick up truck. He even made sure that it was firmly tied down. He asked me if I wanted any other accessories since I was already there. He was just doing his job. I will definitely be coming back to this Ace Hardware for my accessories, and lump coal. Ace is definitely the place. read more

I always preferred to go to Ace Hardware over the bigger hardware stores. The service is always friendly and helpful, the store is usually well stocked, and I usually do not have to wait long before checking out at the register. And this Ace Hardware is the closest to me. From cleaning products for the auto and home, paint for the the home, anything that has to do with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and the yard. Conway Ace Hardware usually has it. And if you are looking for an outdoor grill for the patio, you are in luck. Anything for cooking outside is right there as soon as you walk in. And there are plenty of tools here to keep Tim and Al happy for hours. I always buy batteries here. And they have plenty of flashlights available too. Something to keep in mind with hurricane season around the corner. I would give this Ace Hardware five stars. But four due to the parking. Being in the Publix Shopping Plaza at the intersection of Curry Ford Road and Conway Road, you really have to be alert when driving through the parking lot. You have people pretty much driving every which way. And there is always that one driver who does not know where the ______ he/she is going. Currently, this Ace Hardware has the parking spaces at the front of the building reserved for curb side pick up. But there is plenty of parking close by. Whether it be this Ace Hardware or any other Ace Hardware stores throughout the Orlando area, I always get great service, and I am in and out in no time. read more

Not a welcoming Ace hardware staff, I felt not welcomed. I greeted however no response just a stare. Looking at fishing rods no prices on them and states cannot give price because it's a third party bender. There was one that had a price of 39.99 and broken a the tip missing eyelid. Salesman stated spoke with Manager as to discount for broken end. I went to the front to ask for Debbie for the discount with the fishing rod in had. Cashier said no twice without asking . When I think of Ace Hardware I wonder how a small hardware store can compete with Walmart, Lowe's and Home Depot. I've been doing small project around the house so I decided to give it a shot. What a big difference from the larger retailers! They have employees who are ready to help you out as soon as you walk in. I was very specific with my needs and even though it's smaller than the competitors, they had exactly what I was looking for. Try finding help in a big box retailer, a 10 minute shopping trip can take half an hour! A solid Ace Hardware with excellent service. My favorite Ace in Orlando is the one down in Sodo, but this location does a pretty good job. Located over on Curry Ford Road, this Ace is one of the biggest Ace Hardwares I have ever seen. While I usually like Ace because they are a smaller store with great service, this Ace is still small enough that you won't get lost walking around. I stopped by this Ace a few weeks ago to pick up some items I need to work on the house, including an air filter that the Sodo location told me was only available at the large Conroy store. The cashiers up front were very friendly and directed me to the various spots in the store to get what I needed. While I was looking at some glass glue, an associate came up and gave me a recommendation on which one I should get (and that option was actually cheaper). When i went to the back to get keys made, the associate spent a good 5 minutes looking through all of the key types to make sure I received the correct key. He said lots of other stores don't always get the right exact type, so he wanted to be absolutely sure. This dedication to making sure everything was right the first time was really impressive and made the drive over worth the time. Overall, this Ace Hardware is a solid option for your hardware needs. While the Sodo Ace is still one of the best hardware shops in town, the Conroy location is a solid place to stop if you are in or around that area of town. read more

I have a crazy aversion to the big stores that have a million aisles and you basically need a compass to navigate. I've been to a couple Ace Hardwares around town, and I like that the stores are smaller and neatly organized. And I have never left without everything I needed, so I find that even though their stores are smaller, their selection is stellar. Having two locations close to home makes it easy when I need to run out for something. On my last visit, I was looking for a specific light bulb, as, oddly enough, every light in my kitchen burned out in the span of about a week. So I was left with a dark kitchen. And leave it to me to need a specific, weirdly shaped light bulb. I brought one of the burnt bulbs in and one of the guys was able to find what I needed and send me on my way. There was no wait to check out, and my cashier was friendly. They live up to their slogan, as they truly are 'the helpful place.' read more

my wife and i went to your Curry Ford Rd store today and after grabbing a couple of item we saw in your Black friday ad we went to the register, as the cashier Lori added up our sale she began listening to a conversation that was going on with a cashier next to her and stopped ringing us up, when my wife made eye contact with her and told her that we where in a little hurry because we had just come from publix with ice cream, she said" Im Hurrying" and then before she finished she said "im not going to kill my self ringing you up "for all to hear." we are not going to "Kill" ourselves coming back to Ace Hardware. read more

I love my Ace @ Conway! But, I didn't get the service I am use to this last time. I approached a associate her name was Julie and asked where I could find a certain hinge, she very short said isle 25 and walked away. I got to isle 25 not sure exactly what I was looking for I was able to find another associate I believe her name was Samantha and I received the customer service that I am accustom to receiving while shopping. Samantha made sure I had what I needed and I was on my way. While at the register I had an issue with my receipt when I asked to speak to a manger, Julie came up and again was very short in explaining how the receipt is read. From a customer who shops all Ace Hardwares she needs a refresher course in her customer service skills. I will continue to shop at my local Ace because I love the atmosphere it brings. read more
