My husband kept trying to persuade me that there wasn't a spot for one in the garage, but I proved him wrong! This is the perfect size for us. If you're looking for a chest freezer and think you can't fit one in your garage, measure the space where you think one might work. You will probably find one the exact fit foe that space. First, the customer service rep, Michelle, was great. Driver called when he was 25-min away as requested. About 30-min later I get a text saying the delivery was delayed. Then the delivery was not made "without attempt". The driver decided he could not drive down our road even though 26' box trucks, dumpster trucks, and construction equipment on trailers come down the road almost daily. They wanted to move it to the next available day (3-days away) so I cancelled it. Not the first time they have done this, but I guarantee it will be the last because I will not be using them again. read more

I purchased 2 vanities. Same color, different sizes. Opened one today and it is the wrong color. Called HD who said the most help they can offer for THEIR mistake is 10% of the cost. Now, I have no use of a vanity while I wait on their delivery sub to pick up the wrong one. Then I had to purchase the right one which is scheduled a week to 12 days out. I had a similar experience with Wayfair. They let me keep the wrong item and discounted the one they sent that was correct. Guess where I will be shopping from here on out! read more

We went on a Saturday to pick up some mulch. Got distracted by all the beautiful flowers! Everything was set up nicely and labeled correctly. Vigoro was 3 for $10 and earthgro was $3.97 per bag. While there was a lot of people there, you didn't feel cramped in the garden center and there was plenty of parking spaces. Houseplants were looking fabulous as well. Worst experience w/ a gal named Noel in customer service. I'd expect not wanting to work from a younger person but not from an older senior. I asked if she could help me with an online order. Whoa, why would I need help from CS? Because EVERY time I order online the order comes back cancelled. This and several other crappy-ass attitude questions demeaning to me. If I were the boss, I'd fire this "East Coast/New York don't bother me, let me try to make you feel stupid" individual (even if I am in the Customer Service dept). Been a long time customer and the service has gotten worse every year. We spend 30 and 40 grand a year here flipping homes but done after the last trip. Not enough people working. Too many self checkouts and only one person checking people out. Can't get help with loading and now I am flagged for returning small items without a receipt. Don't treat me like a thief. The only reason this is getting one stars is because I can't give it NONE. As to the rest ... HOME DEPOT'S FLOORING DEPARTMENT SUCKS. I'm sorry I cannot say anything good about them, because most of the individuals I dealt with were very nice. BUT THEIR FLOORING DEPARTMENT SUCKS. This is the first time in my LIFE I've ever had a problem PAYING a company for goods and services. I went to the store, I was going to to (essentially) pay in cash via check. I don't use credit cards unless there's no other choice. They refused to honor the check - even AFTER THEY VERIFIED THAT THE MONEY WAS THERE. So, what's up with THIS? I've spent weeks fooling around with Home Depot, having to get measurements (twice), going over the order THREE TIMES (each time there was something wrong on the order). Now, after dragging on for freaking ever, I have to go back. I'm going in with CASH. Hopefully these morons will "allow me" to pay in legal tender. As a cardholder for Home Depot, I gotta say, after this is over, it will be a long time before I fool with them again. I wouldn't do it NOW if it wasn't for the fact that I don't want to waste MORE time having to do everything all over again. ***days later*** FORGET HOME DEPOT FLOORING - they suck. I'm not even sure where to begin. Maybe with the fact that weeks into this project THEY STILL HAVEN'T FINISHED. One stair tread was defective and now everything has slammed to a stop. Ten days and one sinus infection later, after the work stopped, THEY still have NO IDEA when they are coming back. I called and, after 10 minutes on hold, got a very nice lady who couldn't tell me ANYTHING. She checked with Home Depot, who also knew nothing. Remember that part about going over the paperwork three times? Maybe now is the time I should mention that Home Depot (OOPS!) accidentally called my crazy ex husband. This happened AFTER I was there, in person, at Home Depot, and had spent part of an afternoon going over the paperwork line by line. When his name and number popped up THEN, I told the lady I was working with (Judy) that his name needed to be OFF any and all paperwork having to do with me. I told them we were divorced, and I didn't want him to know ANYTHING ABOUT MY LIFE. So, thanks for that little breach of privacy there, Home Depot. Way to go. Or maybe I should mention that the two guys who came to do measurements and an inspection of what was under the carpet (concrete and two tiled areas - both of which were a complete *surprise* to the guys who came to do the flooring work itself). So kudos for a crap job Measuring Guys - I could have saved the $75 and done the inspection part myself. That threw my budget off by $675, which they called and asked for midway through the job - my house is a torn up, dusty wreck - I didn't really have a choice, did I? So, now I'm here twiddling my thumbs, waiting just to FIND OUT when they THINK they MIGHT be back to finish the job. If they feel like it. Some day. Hopefully before this summer ends. Who knows? Dropped $500 on a tiller. Oil for the motor and transmission was sitting with the tiller. As I was putting all the bottles in my truck I was told by the asst mngr that it only came with 1 qrt of oil for the transmission. Well come to find out it needs all 4. Very unfortunate for people that live an hr and half away that goes to the closest location to buy from HD. Why would you have all 4 qrts of oil for the trans sitting with the tiller? Call them up to get this resolved and was told they couldn't. read more

This used to be my go to place for ALL of my home and gardening needs. I recently brought my receipt to return $160 worth of gardenias and azaleas purchased last year that did not fair well through the season. I was 23 days outside of their return policy and they would not accept any sort of return or exchange. I understand there are policies and rules, but to not be able to make any exceptions being that close to the return date was so disappointing. Home Depot needs to STOP allowing animals in their stores!!! A Male had 2 dogs in tow and one dog was pooping while he walked. This was the main isle in front of the self checkout area. I did say something to the owner about picking up his dogs poop but he continued to walk on. I also brought this issue to an employees attention. Less than 1 star, Home Depot is an an absolute joke when it comes to customer service. We ordered a washer and dryer with upstairs installation package on September 5th with an estimated delivery date of September 8th, after having moved 2600 miles across the country we were excited to have a new w/d to do our laundry in our new home. Our delivery was delayed to 9/15 which wasn't a big deal as we understand 3 days is a quick turnaround. However on the 14th we were informed without reason or responsibility that our delivery would now be the 30th, which was frustrating given that we bought the select model based in part on earliest delivery. At this point it was un-avoidable to resort to a laundry service to get some clean clothes. Customer service offered a half ass apology for the delay but nothing more. On the evening of the 29th we were again informed that our units would not be delivered until October 14th, 6 weeks after the initial order. Home Depot blamed LG for product shortage, LG took no responsibility saying they had it in stock and could get it to us right away guaranteeing a 10/5 delivery. Immediately after that guarantee we received another email delaying it back to 10/14 again. Today (10/14) the delivery arrived and the installers informed me they'd be unable to take the units upstairs as they weren't sent with straps and even if they could get them upstairs they couldn't install them because they weren't sent with tools. After telling them that was unacceptable I told them I would supply any needed tools and even help lift/carry the units upstairs and that's exactly what happened. After waiting 6 weeks with no reconciliation or compensation I carried the units upstairs and provided the install team with the needed tools to get the job done. Home Depot where doers get more done, because the company clearly cannot get it done themselves. Absolute disgrace and worst customer experience I've ever had. read more

I've been to this location a couple times and always had a decent experience, but primarily looked and bought simple things like light bulbs, fridge water filter, furnace filters, etc. Haven't had a need to interact with staff, other than check-out and as usual, Tennesseans are some of the most friendly people (at least compared to Californians). The one gripe I have is that there's no large Home Depot sign along Kingston Pike, just a small part of the whole shopping center marque, so you can easily miss it. Parking is pretty ample. read more

He went way out of his way to help us through the whole process of ordering doors and windows for our whole house, he called on his day off to check on the order and updated us! He is the best!! We moved to Knoxville before the pandemic. We bought our washer and dryer from the Kingston Pike location. The delivery guys they outsource didn't hook it up properly so I had to get all the parts ordered they missed. The pandemic came so that's on hold. I was told, however, that Knoxville had the nicest people on the planet about 5x! I purchased some plants recently at this same location and the checkout lady had an attitude because I requested help to load my 6 bags of mulch and 6 huge boxwoods to my car. BIG MISTAKE. This is when I had the misfortune of encountering Rachel. Yes, Rachel my dear I'm calling you out on this one. 1) She was rude, rude, rude, rude, rude & rude; 2) a flaming bag of dog dookie on your front porch has more charm than her; & 3) I left there with a cloud of Rachel Hatred over my head. It was a totally bizarre experience. Home Depot do the world a favor and put Rachel in the stock room with the other cardboard boxes. Hey man, if I worked at Home Depot the nursery is where I'd want to work ... fresh air, sunshine, cool breeze & lots of plants. What's not to like? Rachel, turn that frown upside down!! Very disappointed in his location when it comes to following CDC guidelines for covid. They do not enforce asking their customers to wear masks but what's worse is they do not wear their own PPE properly if at all , while working directly with customers. I came in to buy paint for the interior of my new home along with several other things. upon entering the paint department and seeing the workers getting paint for customers with out masks I promptly left and will now be taking my business elsewhere. After a recent large remodeling project and multiple trips to the store and online site, I confirm that my experience is usually frustrating at best. In store, Of course you can seldom find an employee to help you when needed, so one can wander the store for hours not finding what they're looking for. When/if you do get the help or attention of an employee, they usually act burnt out, stressed, and NOT knowledgable. (And just because their website says they have something in store definitely does not mean they have it! And good luck finding an employee who has any clue where it might be.) Want paint?? Plan on waiting s VERY LONG TIME for a super cranky paint dept employee who snaps at you repeatedly and is rude. By the way, this is if you can actually find an available employee in the paint department! Want carpet? Plan to have to go on a scavenger hunt of the store to find flooring person who has no idea how to work the computer or enter an order (hence, 2 hours if your time sitting there while they try to figure out how to order a simple carpet for one simple room). Oh, and after your carpet measurement, plan to come back to the store to try to pay for it, only to have them not be able to find your order in the computer. And then you get to stand there at the service desk for another two hours while they have to "rebuild the order" so that you can actually pay them $1,000 for it. (In all fairness, when I finally came back to try to pick up an online-ordered item and pay for the carpet, although it was a complete fiasco, Daniel and Dwight at the front desk were very helpful.) Placing an order online and using your Home Depot credit card? Plan to have them "cancel" your order for no reason other than to send you an email to days later to make you call them to reverify that you were indeed the person making the charges. So by the time I saw the email, I had expected that the needed items would already be on their way, only to find out that the online ordering people had actually canceled the entire order! And then I had to spend another hour or so on the phone placing the order from scratch again, because their computer system would work right or something. And then the same thing happened again! So I got to spend another hour and a half again trying to place the same order online. By the way, this was an order that I had spent hours building online myself, and then when I went to pay, I kept getting system error messages on their end, and their online ordering system was not working. So the first time I placed this large order, I spent almost 2 hours on the phone with an online representative, who kept telling me that his computer system wouldn't work right either. So we kept having to do the order and order items over and over. Whew, after all this, I'm considering contracting out my next remodeling project to avoid all of this stress and dozens of hours of my life wasted standing in a store and online for no reason. HD now stands for = half-day. Even if you go to the store just to trying to find lightbulbs, plan on spending at least a "half day" of your time getting anything done here. But I guess that's probably the same for all of these types of stores.... Update, February 2017. I'm changing my two star review to one star. Wish I could give them zero stars! I have been in the Home Depot store half a day... And I'm updating my review as I stand here. For half a day, I have been trying to find someone in the cupboards section to help me. I simply need to order a new cabinet for a new home. Anyone in the department seems to be MIA on a busy Sunday. read more
