We live around the corner from this store so we come here for all our odds and ends of needs for project or house stuff too. The service is eh ... everyone's always "busy" I usually don't ask for help because you get the cold shoulder. When I do I try to find someone who looks like they are they are in a decent mood. We tried asking a worker once to get us something out of the locked area for yard equipment and they took 30 minutes. We left said not worth the wait. The garden section from sept-Feb. pretty scarce not a lot of wild natural options- when making our outdoor enclosure for our tortuous we had very few options here in selecting non toxic plants. When trying to ask for or where a plant is they just pointed "over there" or "idk" Really hard to spend money when they don't know their products or just don't care. However we do like the kids club projects my son and the lady who runs it have a great relationship. She use to be stand of fish but we wore her down or he did with his smiles every month for the past 2 years 24 + crafts together. read more

Last Saturday I visited this store and got excellent service from Sarah. I needed help when I arrived but couldn't find anyone as I walked the aisles. As I continued looking for help I saw Sarah's smile and approached her. She gladly walked me to what I needed, and also agreed to get me to the next item I needed. I was very grateful, because a few minutes later she was walking past and saw me struggling with a sheet of paneling and ended up seeing me all the way through to checkout. Over all I've had good experience, 2 negs 2years ago I bought a reefer/freezer within 2 weeks the top handle came loose I went to tighten it. Found it was a dry wall screw within 6 months it came loose or fell 3 times, so I found hex head to put in, then the bottom came out, I did the same. I figured it must be used or something. No company will use dry wall screws. T he other bad thing I had to get a new Freezer the displays had no stand up freezer. I went online to find one, my width was critical found one for $1099 marked down to $699 went to cart it was 1299 with discount was $999. Went to Lowes because I had to. got it for $862 delivered. I went over there and couldn't find them. I asked a younger man with an Afro and he assisted me. We looked together and he used his cell to check and we found them immediately. Meanwhile, the first employee showed up with this couple to look in the same area. They were black. Why couldn't he have escorted me to the area? Was I the wrong skin color? read more

I went for a return, was helped by Karina. She was speaking with another associate the whole time while helping me, their conversation was completely inappropriate. They spoke about her "hooking up" with associates in different departments of the store. Every time I come here the employees are really rude. Ask them a question they never know nothing when needed something from the cages never get the help always have to end up waiting up to 30mins. So I posted a picture of that long line. Well I was impressed they moved it along quick. One lady was directing traffic. To self checkout or two open registers. Now to grade this place. Customer service started off rocky with two guys just not really caring. But then came a rep. In the wood section who helped me out and explained the situation with wood shortage. He then for solutions with options. He was even able to cut wood for me quickly. Social distancing and mask all being enforced. Considering the situation and time , close to closing on a Saturday, they did a great job. The won't get a 5 because management still needs to get the entire team onboard with customer service. It makes a big difference when you get help in a place that you don't know much about . I wanted to buy laminated tiles ( handyman's suggestion) for my kitchen. I went to Home depot and I have no clue what I'm looking for, or how many pieces I need to buy for 160 square feet area. I asked for help, a lady ( I'm sorry i forgot her name ) came showed me where to find them and explained what is laminate flooring. And figured out how many planks I needed to buy. And she helped me get boarder, and other things that the installer asked for. She was patient, knowledgeable, and made sure i got the right things. It didn't stop there, the cashier(Nora) was so nice, the manager (Daisy) was amazingly helpful and the guy who helped carrying all this to my van had a nice smile and was so courteous . This is the second time I've had an issue with this Home Depot regarding military discount. It just seems like store associates do not understand the concept of finding a pathway to saying YES in terms of customer satisfaction. The first time I had an issue was purchasing a bigger house appliance with a value over $500 and this time a tool set of $199. The store CANNOT find the tool set even though their inventory says they have 1 in stock. Since they have 1 in stock they "cannot" place an online order for us to use the military discount. I asked if I could get the military discount applied as a price adjustment if I go ahead and order the tool set myself. The answer is NO. I asked if a manager can somehow adjust the price for us or override it since it is their problem that they cannot find the item. The answer is NO. 1. No, the item cannot be found in the store. 2. No, they cannot order the item online. 3. No, they won't give us the discount at the store (as a price adjustment) if we order it ourselves online. Experience here is very disappointing. read more

Home Depot's appliance delivery service is a joke. The day my clothes washing machine was due to be delivered I received a message that said they couldn't deliver it because the police were called at a prior delivery. I called and had it rescheduled for the next day. The next day I received a message that my machine was still on a broken down delivery truck from the day before. When I was making the call about that, three men came to my door. They asked if I was Patty (not my name) and said they were here to fix my dishwasher. My husband went out and could see several machines in the truck, but they said ours wasn't one of them. I called Home Depot and told them to cancel the order. This was on a Thursday. I was assured I would have my refund by Monday. On Wednesday I called and was then told the refund would take at least 10 business days AFTER the item was received back at the manufacturer. read more

Boy! What a joke! If you consider buying a Home Depot gift card, think twice! The person you are getting the gift card for has to be present to put it in their name. If you are buying it as a gift, it won't be a surprise if they are present. We had to use gift cards for a small construction project and we don't give cash to contractors. Our current contractor has used gift cards for our current project the past couple of days, now today Home Depot says he can't use the gift card we purchased without his name attached to it with ID. Tried to get a refund, and the store manager said to get a refund on the card that I purchased yesterday in store, I have to wait 5 to 7 days. That is such BS! I have to wait that long for my money to be returned. I have the receipt and the card has not been used. All I can say is, WOW! What a joke and terrible customer service. Let me start by saying I buy everything I need fit my house and yard here. I also have a construction business as well and I buy ninety percent of materials I need from this place. I recently decided to sawed my lawn and topsoil some thin spots, so I bought quite a few bags of Kellogg's topsoil and Scott's lawn seed. Well virtually no lawn growth , but plenty of weeds from topsoil. I took remaining portion is seeds back and the one bag left of the Kellogg's topsoil, because the topsoil had weeds in it. They refused to give me even a store credit on used bags, now I have a lawn full of not grass, but weeds.. thanks to Home Depot and the crappy topsoil...... moral of story, don't expect Home Depot to care about you of your project outcome, just as long as you spend money there. The managers and employees act like they lose money out of their paycheck if they apply a lifetime warranty. They are SO PROUD to deny a life time warranty and give you the run around. It's like pulling teeth to get them to give you what you paid for. They act and feel like they run the world... (eye roll) ... I have a tool that is beginning to fail and it advertises lifetime warranty on the packaging, so I contact Home Depot directly on their website and ask how to use the warranty; at this point they ask for the tool name and part number and they verify that it in fact does have lifetime warranty and tell me that all I need to do is take the tool to my local Home Depot store and they will issue me an exchange at the store as it has lifetime warranty (PICTURE OF CONVERSATION ATTACHED) With this information I go to the Home Depot store and I show the Home Depot employee at the entrance the tool and ask "how do I go about processing the lifetime warranty on that tool"? and he tells me to go grab the tool and bring it back to the customer service desk and they can process the warranty there for me. So I do as he asks. Now at the customer service desk the manager refuses the life time warranty exchange and offers me a discount on a new tool instead of exchanging it. WHAT?! Of course I say no and contact Corporate. After a few minutes on the phone with corporate they honor the lifetime warranty and offer me the exchange and email me a packaging slip for the tool. I understand if maybe I was asking for a refund or store credit but no, all I wanted was an even exchange on the advertised lifetime warranty. Corporate was very helpful. read more

Lancaster Home Depot Redeems Themselves In the past,​ I have had absolutely horrible service and have chosen to shop at other locations and stores. Not this time, my girlfriend had bought 5 gallons of Glidden paint at the Tehachapi Home Depot. Unfortunately, the color was wrong in the daylight. Tehachapi absolutely refused to try to adjust it. LANCASTER WAS WONDERFUL!! Breann in paints took the time to modify the paint. She was able to salvage 5 gallons of paint and create a color that was more visually pleasing​. The Lancaster location has greatly improved its​ customer service and the kindness shown was above and beyond. We will be back! read more

I recently ordered a new sink and vanity for my bathroom in my new house. Of course when I went to pick it up the box was too large for my car. As I sat there debating what to do, Tyree came by to ask if I needed help getting it into the car. He quickly suggested to open the box, if I was alright with that, and load the items in. Once we got them out of the box we realized they would easily fit and he helped me load everything into my car, he even disposed of the box for me. If I can give this store 0 stars I would. I came in here last week to get the early sales before Black Friday. The Christmas tree was sold out which I understand, that wasn't the problem. The customer service girl didn't want to call other stores to check inventory, she kept saying they're probably gone too. I told her I didn't mind driving an hour away as long as they were in stock, she had an attitude and called. She did call the other store but it seemed like she was talking to a please hold tone and not a real person, she again told us they didn't have them but it didn't sound genuine. We went to look for other items and couldn't find them either, we looked around for help and a groups of 5/6 employees were standing around texting on their phones. I asked for help and one of them tried to look up the item and I overheard another one say "maybe I should walk around and pretend to be working" to his colleagues. Another group of 3 employees we found talking just pointed and said it's somewhere down there. I again asked why don't you take us to the area so we aren't walking around wasting time. The only employee that actually tried to help was Antonio, the item was out of stock but at least he looked it up for me, so thank you.
