This Home Depot has to be the worst in the nation. We purchased bamboo flooring from them in July of 2023 and it is now March 2024 and they have not finished the job. They will not listen to our complaints and will not force a contractor to finish the job. We have tried to work with the contractor and he blocks our calls. This has been a nightmare. I have enlisted in the Air Force and will be leaving in April and I still have no help insight. I will have to reduce the my selling price to allow to sell my home with an unfinished floor. I bought a laundry utility sink online and store delivered. I couldnt open it for a month because I left on a trip 2 days after it was delivered. I was gone for one month. I opened it 5 weeks after i bought it. The cabinet was cracked down the side. very broken. I called the store and asked for a new one to be delivered. Customer service said, no, of course. I asked to speak to a manager. Cynthia set me up with a new delivery immediately. There was a small snafu but old one was picked up and new one delivered with in two days. Came in for a few small parts. Should've been a quick trip. At checkout not one register was open. All closed. There were 4 self checkouts open with two lines of customers running across the aisle and into the rows. Chaos. Of course two of the registers had customers waiting for help so there was no movement. I normally find myself only posting positive reviews of places but find it important to forewarn customers (especially female customers) about this location. Last week I went in 3 separate times and had a terrible experience each time with 3 different departments ranging from being spoken down to because I asked a question regarding two different model toilets to being told nearly an hour before close by the young lady manning the paint counter that if I needed to figure out what paint I wanted that she had things to do because she was closing. The lack of customer service is overwhelming and it's very much a "figure it out yourself" experience because you are hard pressed to find anyone who wants to help. I have spoken with the manager regarding my experiences and pity him for having to run this location. Customers beware. read more

I just went into the las cruces home depot with the intention of spending thousands on new appliances for my home. I also wanted new flooring so I talked to the employee in flooring first, at around 6 pm on Sep 26. I explained to the employee sitting at the desk about the size of my house that I was looking at flooring for. His first response was to get hostile with me and tell me I did not explain anything right to him. I said I thought I did. He then told me I did not because of some ridiculous details about the dirt under the house that I didn't tell him in the first place. I walked over to the nice lady working in appliances, but the guy in flooring pissed me off so bad with his bad attitude that I walked out of the store and decided I will buy thousands in appliances at another store instead. We just ordered a washer and dryer from Home Depot. They were having a 30% off sale so the price was awesome. I had purchased the professional install, but didn't realize that it came with all the parts I needed, so I ordered extra. I called customer service and they refunded me that same day which was really easy. On the day of my delivery I had a window of 11-3 and they were there before 12. The delivery people were only in my house for about 10 minutes, they were so fast! They checked all the connections and ran the washer and dryer to make sure everything worked. Really great experience and I'd recommend ordering large appliances from the Home Depot. read more

If you are needing only items you can buy immediately in the store...like screws or tape or garden soil...then go here. They have that stuff. If you can pick it out without assistance or having to special order, go here. Honestly, their paint people are pretty efficient and helpful. But beyond that they are pretty useless. They do not have designated people in any department. And that leads to chaos and ineffective assistance. Train people in one department and freakin' leave them there. This is not WalMart...people need specialized help in some departments of your store. My advice is not to special order anything from this location. Alamogordo is where you should do special orders. I have been waiting 4 months for a special order door to arrive. We have tried 3 times to get it right. 1st door: the incorrect size. Seems even when they send people out to measure they don't order what they tell them is the correct size. I have paperwork that indicates one size door was to be ordered and when the door arrived, it was not that size. They sent along the regular door...NOT my special order. So that went back. 2nd door: A manufacturers error. Seems there is no product inspection on site at the store before they send stuff out with the installer. Back went door #2. 3rd door: Arrived over a week ago and NO ONE from the store scheduled installation even after I called twice to ask about it. And no, it's not my responsibility. Home Depot took my money for installation. They are, according to my installer, supposed to call them and have it scheduled for install. I have been informed this particular Home Depot is very bad about just letting your orders sit until you actually take the initiative. Speaking with the manager doesn't help much. And the gal that is supposed to be scheduling the installations always seems to be at "off that day". So, I do not recommend this as a place for your special orders or purchases with in store help. Customer Service desk people have no customer service training and are short and unhelpful when you go in and even worse on the phone. I'll be going to Lowe's or Alamogordo from now on. It's easier than several return visits to get it right or waiting 4 months for a large special order. read more

The store held an associate meeting at 7:45 and I waited an extensively long time after asking several associates to open the spray paint cage. You made me late to my job this morning as I didn't account for waiting 20+ minutes for 2 cans of paint. I was directly ignored by one of your employees, and the only reason I got my paint at all is because I weaseled my way into your paint cage to help myself. This location has absolutely no customer service. We literally passed by at least 10 employees without so much as a greeting. We went through different departments and they were either on their phones, sitting down, or chatting with other employees about personal things while blocking isles. Not one employee looked up, smiled, or acknowledged us in any way. Very disappointing. Needless to say we didn't find what we walked in for and even if we did there was no way we were going to buy it from there. I'm not surprised this location has a poor rating. The pine is a freakin MESS. I know you're trying to get rid of those bent, bad pieces, but seriously, half your pine should be in cull. Step up your standards, ffs. It takes an hour to find a straightish piece. Oh, and once my plywood strips were cut so freaking crooked, the girl gave me 70% off, but then I had to go home and redo THEIR cuts, annoying. Time is money. Once my cart WAS full on last visit, there were NO normal lanes open. I've noticed this at every visit, but this time I had nearly a thousand bucks worth of lumber, paint, and butcher block countertops, which nearly toppled over and crushed me and my kid as I tried to find the sku's for self check out. The other stations were all blinking red and one young employee was completely overwhelmed. DO BETTER, HOME DEPOT. It shouldn't take an hour to get a sloppy gallon of paint mixed, as your paint dude gossips with some dude friends. The store is uncomfortable for women shoppers, the staff is a bit skeezy. And it's insulting to spend $1000 and not have adequate check out assistance. Sutherlands, McCoy's, and Ace on Main st are all better options if you have a project that allows you to work small. Those stores are also respectful when I'm there, and don't treat me like a dumb woman diy'er. I'm doing a home renovation mostly myself, don't need the condescending crap. I'm over Depot. read more

I've had nothing but problems with this store. Customer service is by far the worst of all the locations I've lived by (prior Mil). Latest episode... I ordered a $1500 door that had to be custom built. Shows up with installer and there is a part missing. Long story short, this location still hasn't contacted me about replacement part after being contact by installer and myself in person. Was told by pro desk the manager would call me next day. 6 days later... nothing! Was told I can get a similar part in isle 12. I refused to buy something that I already bought. Of all the Home Depot stores I have patronized, the Las Cruces store is the worst. If you need three items, you will be lucky to find one. The store managers I have dealt with at this location are arrogant, rude, and rarely helpful. I recently visited the store to purchase an electric heater, which they had, but the space for it on the she;f was empty. I could see the product on the overhead rack, about ten feet up, but a ladder would be necessary to reach it. There was an employee at a nearby closed register and I requested assistance. He said he would page someone to help. Fifteen minutes later, no help had arrived, so I made a second request. Still no help. Finally I went searching for an employee and finally found one who brought a ladder and got the heater for me. As usual, only self service lanes were open, so I asked to speak with the store manager. What I got was a rude "night manager" whose only concern was that in my conversation with him I referred to the person who I initially sought help from that did nothing as a "clown". Turns out the clown was a supervisor of some sort, probably "supervisor of clowns". Much better service will be found at just about any real hardware store where employees actually wait on customers. Ahhhh the smell of fresh cut lumber.... Quite pleasing. Wish I could say the same about the bathroom room... But oh well.... We didn't come here to pee. .... Or did we? Aside from the bathroom being gross, the Home Depot there in Las Cruces was what you would expect from a Home Depot... filled with lots of middle aged men and tons of wood, ... hardwood, softwood, curved wood.... pfffft let me stop. No, actually, yall stop. I am talking about lumber. Stop it. Its a freakin hardware store for bejeezus sake. Why were we in Las Cruces for a Home Depot when El Paso has like 5? Well, simple really. We wanted a Christmas Tree (fake kind) that was at least 6.5ft tall and had lights already in it (pre lit), clear lights, not multi colored. Searched online for these items and hit the normal spots, Wal-Mart, Lowes, Target, Sears, JC Pennys, Macys, on and on.... well Home Depot just so happened to have a 6.5 ft pre lit artficialy tree with clear lights on sale for $39.00 ,,,, WTF? Out of stock online, so I call my local Home Dizzles... they are all out of stock (of that specific item) as well, but the senorita on the celly says hey, the Las Cruces store has 12... sooooo I call them, they didnt have 12, only 3, but never mind that I still got one. They even let me pay for it over the phone and just come pick it up so for sure I would get it before it sold out. Why is this such a big deal? Well, if youve ever been in the market for a artificaly pre lit, youll know that even at Wal-Mart the 6.5-7ft trees are like $89 plus tax. So basically I got a 50% discount, which im cool with. 6.5ft isnt the biggest tree, but it works. Had 500 lights on it, so it shines,,,, which is good because when I was a young man I was told to get muh shine on, cuz imma get mine on.... (old Cash Money reference) .... BONUS: While we were there, they had already potted, BEAUTIFUL and HUGE Poinsettas (the big super red stargazer lilly lookin christmas type flowers) ON SALE for $9... anybody that knows pre potted and large flowers, you know $9 is a solid deal. Picked up one of them too... and too top it off, ... watched a DOPE sunset on the highway on the way back from Las Cruces to El Paso, (there was conjestion due to construction, so while everyone muscled for position and rank, we kept calm and took panaramic photos of the fire lit sky.... FYI: They were slangin REAL trees too.... if thats your thing. Always fun to have a real tree. But ME, the fun was actually finding it and chopping it down while snow fell lightly from the sky.... if its already chopped, and im in shorts... naw, ill just go pre lit and plastic.... like most of the girl you find in nightclubs these days.. get it? ha... read more

The staff does not know what they are doing at this place. I asked for help with a patio set. I was told to take a picture of their display and show it to the cashier. Cashier charged my credit card and sent me to Pick up and Delivery, where they told me the patio set was sold out, & that I had been sold the display unit - which had already been sold by another employee. My credit card refund will appear in 3 to 5 business days, so I can't even purchase another one at another location for 3 -5 business days. read more

If I could give no stars I would. 3 weeks ago we went to flooring Dept to buy for my new medical practice. Diego was sitting in the chair, he seemed put out that he had to get up to help, He never smiled. We paid $37 for them to measure, after a week the man came. I told him we'd move the furniture. Another week and I called Diego to see when they'd come install the tile. He said he sent estimate to email-NOPE, he said it'll take 3 men to move appliances, I said it was a small dorm fridge, like I told the guy, we'd move furniture. The man who came out told me no fee for moving a love seat and chair. Diego said the estimate was $1990 for a $300 floor. I told him no way. He said he had to redo the estimate, he'd resend in 1 day. We couldn't set up installation until we paid. That was last week, I'm still waiting for the email! I called someone and I'm going to LOWES!!! You lost a sale HD!!! read more

I am trying to buy a washer and dryer and take advantage of my Home depot credit card with a 0% interest but my card limit is lower then item to purchase so I need to split the payment. The website does not allow this as you must put in your other form of payment and then the rest on the home depot card. I called in for assistance and spent 50 minutes on hold to find out the corporate number can only do the same thing as the website. I called the store and they can't take payments over the phone so I must drive 2 hours if I want to purchase this. What a poor billing system they have. read more

I was looking for a place that could cut an automotive key. The kind with the lock/unlock/panic buttons built into the blank. I'd been to the blue box competitor and was told they couldn't do it. I went home and started searching online. I found more recommendations for Home Depot than anywhere else, including local locksmiths. (they seem to specialize in lockouts) The young lady who manned the key cutting counter was unsure of how to do what I needed, but did have me summon a fellow from the paint dept. He said, "let's go make your key." Good sign! He and the young lady and I proceeded back to key land. These new key machines are all digital nowadays. You stick the old key in, it gets scanned and is then ready to cut the new blank. I guess we had to fool the machine a bit. It was looking for an in-stock blank, not my fancy remote model. The fellow got that in-stock blank, showed it to the machine, told it to make it and then inserted my fancy remote blank. Voilà! A newly cut key! The machine even buffs the new key. Because the young lady was unsure about how to help me, and because it took longer than it should have, she didn't charge me for the cut. Darned nice of her! The key works well enough. A little sticky, as it isn't as worn as the original, but it unlocks the door and starts the car. It's meant to be an emergency spare, so no problem. I'll certainly recommend Home Depot to my friends who have a need for key service! Oh, and by the way, don't let dealerships (Nissan in my case) talk you into $120 to program and cut your key. Programming instructions are available online, and Home Depot will cut the blank for you at a reasonable price. read more

Another customer was waiting he had somebody page it was over 10 minutes and still nobody showed up. This Home Depot has lost our appliance business for good. I should have listened to the reviews which said that this Home Depot is terrible. A damaged dishwasher was delivered to us. Their installer told us that they were going to leave the damaged dishwasher and order a new one. We never heard from them so I called Home Depot. I was told by the appliance associate that it was basically my problem to deal with the installer because we should not have let the dishwasher be left. Are you kidding me??? He told me to call the installer. The installer told me to call Maytag. When I called a Home Depot manager to complain, he had the same attitude. No apology for this hassle whatsoever. I have been on the phone for some time now trying to get information from the installer and Maytag. Why did I pay Home Depot ??? I will not make this mistake again. From now on, I will be taking my appliance business elsewhere. Lowe's has much better customer service. read more

This is the worst Home Depot I have been too. I needed some lumber and it was stacked on the third level. I told the associate that I needed that lumber and I asked how much was there he checked for me and told me 93 boards which kind of worked since I needed 92, I was a little disappointed that I had to take the bad ones as I had no choice. He then disappeared, I thought he was going to get help and when I saw him a few aisles over just looking at wood with no customer I told him again that I needed all of those boards and that I would be needing more of some different sizes he said ok and disappeared again. After standing there for 25 minutes my friend showed up and went and found a manager letting them know I had been standing there with no help after asking 3 times to get the boards. Another associate came and went and found the original guy they loaded the boards on a cart and disappeared again. My friend and I went through the other sizes I needed with no help from Home Depot and loaded another cart and pushed them to the front. I get if I just needed a few pieces of lumber but I bought 1500.00 dollars worth and got absolutely no help with out begging for it. On a brighter note the young man at the register was very kind and the other young man standing with him helped me load my trailer. I was not pleased at all after having to drive 2 hours to go to Home Depot and have this kind of service. I have talked to several of my friends and family and they have the same experience with this Home Depot what ever happened to customer service! read more
