These guys have the best customer service. I bought some new faucets; one for the kitchen and one for the bathroom. I went back the next day to purchase the supply lines and some 1/4 turn stop valves. Since this was my first time installing this hardware, I needed help finding the right stuff. The employee, Jordan, was the nearest help I could find. He was just done helping another customer when I asked him for help and he was happy to do so. At that precise moment, the other customer said "I guess you'll have to wait longer for your lunch break". That when I noticed he had his lunch sack with him. I offered to look for other help but he insisted on helping me and told me not to worry about it. While helping me to find the right size equipment, he opened a brand new faucet (same model I bought the night before) so that we could confirm the sizes. After finding the right equipment, he escorted me to an unoccupied register and checked me out. Jordan went beyond my expectations and I left satisfied and confident that I had the right equipment to do the job. After checking me out and thanking me, another customer lined up thinking that his register was opened. Without hesitation, Jordan happily served them too. This all transpired when he was supposed to be on his lunch break. That's exceptional customer service. P.S. Worst Home Depot I've ever been to. Counted 12 employees that were walking around doing nothing. I had two different employees called to help me to a certain department nobody ever showed up. I went to the Pro counter, and the two guys there were clueless. They kept looking at each other saying I don't know if anybody is around to help. Terrible experience at this Home Depot. The employees helping with my new refrigerator had no clue how to use a dolly or secure the appliance with straps. No one offered to help load it into my truck until I asked, leaving me to do the heavy lifting. The worst part? An employee carelessly let the fridge start to fall over. Home Depot always has everything you need, unfortunately this location has very poor service, it's impossible to find any help, employees alway have their head down and trying to avoid every customer, you finally stop someone and get the same reply "sorry not my department" they call for the expert in the department only to find out they know nothing either, no help just reading the box and giving a guess. read more

This location is off of 26th and actually next to Menard's. The parking lot is good size as expected. The staff are helpful and willing to provide an assistance you might need. I was shopping here today, and was aggressively followed by loss prevention. The undercover employee was following me to each aisle I went to, then started asking me questions about each item I was looking at. Then after I checked out, he followed me out the door, even asking me if i knew where my car was! I am calling corporate today to complain! I was going to buy several Milwaukee Fuel m18 tools. We have purchased multiple large-ticket items from Home Depot;, always buying the "extended" warranty and have never had that warranty fully explained to us until we needed it this morning. We understood from the sales person that it kicked in when the manufacturer's warranty expires - now it seems it runs concurrently - meaning our three year warranty on our gas wall oven expired one month ago instead of running through 11/2021, so we now will have a repair cost on top of the money we paid for the worthless warranty. Even if it's indisputably still under warranty, it's nearly impossible to get service. Our electric start Honda mower wouldn't work three months after purchase and they gave us the contact information for a repair technician in another STATE! We had to contact someone in our area and get them to handle the warranty issue. We've heard that Lowes is easier to do business with, so we'll be making our purchases there in the future. read more

the problem with Home Depot is that its always the same. employees who are fairly unmotivated and uninterested, with a few exceptions, and lots of pricing and delivery issues. I went in to buy a new range. Bought it and they said 2 weeks to deliver. 2 days before the delivery date I get an automated call telling me that it will be another 2 weeks. When I called the delivery arm to see the issue, they told me that the model I picked was not in inventory and they had no idea if or when they might get more. The same store has a very unhappy rental clerk. He's kind of a dull and going through the motions. The best part is that he has a sign on the door to the rental area from the outside that has a sign saying to go through the main entrance, (basically a back and forth totally about 80 yards), when I returned the heavy tools I rented, I took them to that outside door and even though he was standing not 24 inches from the door, he would not open it -- instead expecting me to lug the stuff the 80 yards! Go figure. I've had these same experiences or ones like them at the Home depots in Colorado as well. I found, by accident, an Ace Hardware in Havelock -- not only friendly and family run, but their prices are cheaper than either Home Depot or Menards! read more

I went in the other night after working all day at my own business with jeans that were stained with oil and dirt and my hands looking a little rough and oil stained, and the younger staff looked me up and down like I was some homeless person. NO, I'm not homeless, I WORK HARD for a living unlike some of you youngsters hanging out at your empty aisle staring at all the people walking by , judging them by their appearance! The only person that didn't seem to judge me was the older gentleman (mid 50's) that knew exactly what I was looking for. He is the ONLY reason I give it 3 stars. I should have just SELF CHECKED OUT because the young girl that checked me out was so uninterested in her job and unfriendly, she might as well work at a morgue? I have found this store to be my favorite big box store for hardware. I find the staff helpful although occasionally you need to hunt someone down (where don't you though). Home Depot offers a free disposal for CFL's and rechargeable batteries. I have found prices reasonable or cheaper than elsewhere with name brand items. It's easy enough to compare with a smart phone. read more

I never seem to find what I want and when I do the item is usually a higher price than I want to pay so I almost always end up going somewhere else in the end. Went here to get garage door opener. 2 weeks ago. There installed called after 3 days like I was told that would. They gave me the run around on the phone. So I went in today to talk to them. I found out that charged me for 2 openers and install to have it install. Which is crap. I had VERY crappy customer service there. We've received nothing but run around at this store. Purchased a door and install and was told we'd receive a call by a contractor within 48 hours.. it's 9 days later and we're still waiting. Talked to Patricia the install gal, Laurie asst. manager and Mike store manager and no resolution just the message that "we had a breakdown in internal communication," and "our process is missing a step." We were attempting to buy flooring at the north location and obtain a sale price that was quoted to us originally by the south location. In fact, the south location told us to go to the north location to purchase the flooring because they were out of the product. The north store would not honor the sale, indicating that they were in a different 'zone'. It's Lincoln NE, for crying out loud. The customer service staff at the north location were fairly helpful, but the main problem was the manager. After the staff told the manager our situation, she decided to just simply ignore us. When I requested that she speak to us, she acted as if I was bothering her. She offered no apology and didn't seem to care whether or not we made a purchase, which was well over $1,000. In the end, we paid full price for the flooring, took it to the south location and obtained our sale price. The south location is awesome. The north store, with that manager, not so much. read more

Be cautious of purchasing Whirlpool appliances from Home Depot. We purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator from Home Depot as well as a Whirlpool extended warranty in January 2018. In May of 2018, the food in the refrigerator froze. There is no temperature gauge to automatically adjust. We contacted the local company referred by Whirlpool. No repairman visited to diagnose the problem. They ordered a Whirlpool part that would take a week or more to arrive. In the meantime, a refrigerator full of groceries is ruined, making this an extremely expensive product and extended warranty. (this doesn't reflect on HD employees) read more

My husband has worked part time for Home Depot on 27th and cornhusker for over 9 years now. If I wrote about all the stuff that management has tried to do to him to make themselves look good to their higher up we would be here reading for years. Instead I will tell you about the latest crap they are pulling. A couple months ago they decided that availability no longer matters and every single employee (supposedly) has to work weekends. He has worked nights Mon-Thurs through his whole employment with them and his availability hasn't ever changed. He works a full time job already so working yet another 8 hour shift on a Saturday or Sunday would take him away from the only time he gets with our 8 month old daughter. After he expressed his concern to management he was told that either he change his availability so they can schedule him on weekends or he just wouldn't be getting scheduled at all until he does change it. So for the past almost 2 months now he has not gotten scheduled which has been a huge financial loss for our family which they are well aware of. After his vacation renewed he started using that so he could at least get some kind of paycheck every two weeks. The first time he wrote down 20 hours and was only paid for 15 hours. Mind you his manager has to sign off on this in front of him which they did. That didn't stop them from only paying out 15 hours. Then 2 weeks later he writes down 20 hours again and his manager signs off on it. So this past Friday was supposed to be payday and he didn't get paid at all. When he questioned his manager he was told that if he changes his availability that this wouldn't happen. He told them we would be contacting our attorney to get this resolved and they told him that nothing illegal happened and that it was just a simple accounting error and that they would mail him a paper check. So the past 9+ years nothing like this has ever happened until they are trying to strong arm him into working weekends. These things they are doing are all just to get him to change his availability so they can schedule him on weekends. He has been a dedicated and loyal employee for 9+ years and they are pulling this with him. That store doesn't value its employees at all they only want bodies. Good luck shopping here with all the new high school kid hires. They don't train them so they don't know anything and they people that do know what they are doing are so worn down from being treated like shit that they don't take pride in helping customers anymore. read more

Absolutely the worst costumer service I have ever seen. I bought a floor model gas grill that had a defective flame igniter. They told me the part had been ordered and tHey would call when ready to pick up. I thought I would call to see if part had arrived. After talking with three different departments, I finally spoke with store manager. He took item number from my receipt and told me his assistant manager would look into it and call me back. Well it's been hours later and still no call. Will not be going back for anything else other then to get my part. At this rate probably won't be going for that either. read more
